Molten Facility Fractal Invulnerability

Yeah, this happened to us last night… Killed Firestorm first, then it looked like Berserker walked over and resurrected him with a sliver of health after which time Firestorm became invulnerable to damage and control attempts from us. We killed Berserker after that but no change from Firestorm. We wiped to try to reset the fight but all that happened was Firestorm went back up to full health, remaining invulnerable, Berserker still dead, so we gave up at that point.

We didn’t intentionally draw Firestorm to the bridge however he was right at the edge of the round stage, right next to the bridge.

This thread is old, but this just happened in my Fractal group.

Twilight III: Dusk (Collection)

There are various annoyances/errors/bugs regarding the collection:

Regarding Twilight III:

-Twilight III has two locations incorrect on where to gather them:
—- “Coil’s Gloom” states that it is in “Mount Maelstrom,” but it is actually in Timberline Falls.
—- “Inky Blackness” states that it is in “Frostgorge Sound,” but it is actually in Fireheart Rise.

Regarding Twilight I:

-Twilight I can only be done if you fail an event to hold Dwayna’s temple in Orr; only then can the event chain be done to recapture it.
-Twilight I’s Bashing Bauxite Alchemicals cannot be completed sometimes; this is because either the npc’s for the event chain never spawn or they get stuck randomly.

Regarding Twilight II:

-The cost of the materials here makes it more expensive to do this collection achievement than to just buy Dusk on the trading post. Don’t bother with this collection; you will be spending over 1200 gold and doing the collection requirements instead of just spending 1000-1200g for the precursor and no achievement requirements.

Bug with Demo Level

Bug #1) If you use a glider to skip by the first few enemy encounters (going straight to the encounter where you fight the boss that asks Mordremoth for help) it causes the level to bug out quite a bit; a few of the goals will rearrange themselves.

Bug #2) Also, allies and enemies both will randomly teleport to your location in the air, often becoming stuck in the air permanently; this make it very hard to kill the enemies with my Reaper Necromancer, using only Dagger/Focus + Greatsword. The only range that can hit above the Necromancer that I had were 3 of my abilities on dagger/focus (2, 3, 5).

Screenshots) I have a screenshot of the goal bugs, but not of the allies/enemies teleporting into the air; however, that is very easy to reproduce by simply gliding into the air right at the start of the level or right after picking to help Laranthir.

Dry Top is in Maguuma Wastes, but the daily achievement is for the Maguuma Jungle.

Necromancer’s Death Shroud 1 (underwater!) with the trait “Unyielding Blast” causes vulnerability on your necromancer (in addition to the target). It’s only supposed to affect your target, not your necromancer.

This causes underwater Life Blast underwater to actually be MORE powerful because the underwater version transfers that conditions to your foe, causing you to inflict double the vulnerability. You’ll get to 25 stacks of vulnerability on an enemy in just a few attacks.

Marionette as a guild world event

They could call them “Guild Reenactments.”

Reenact certain major events in the living story like the Marionette, the destruction of Lion’s Arch (both Escape from LA, and the Battle for Lion’s Arch), the raid into the Tower of Nightmares, the invasion by the Ancient Karka on LA, and the chase after and slaying of the Ancient Karka in Southsun Cove.

This could be done through hologram technology (like that used by Moto for his Super weapons, or the hologram projectors used during Dragon Bash).

I sent in a ticket and the response was to post here. They will do nothing. Might as well buy a new ring as the chances of this being fixed or use being reimbursed with a ring with correct stats is slim to none.

I finally got a response back. They told me that they are aware of the issue. I hope that means they’ll get it fixed whenever the next patch is.

It’s true about there being other items that weren’t updated; I’ve seen some other infused rings and other celestial trinkets that seem not to have the new celestial stats.

The celestial ascended ring called “Solaria, Circle of the Sun (Infused)” has lower stats than the non-infused version.

It seems that it didn’t get the buffs that the other celestial equipment got with the latest patch.

Outfit Didn't Unlock at Armor Specialist

When I exchanged my outfit at the specialist – it showed that I got the executioner’s outfit. However, it didn’t unlock; I believe this is because my inventory was full when I tried.

I don’t see why my inventory being full should effect the unlock, but it simply deleted my outfit and it never unlocked in my wardrobe.

Edit: Nevermind, it randomly appeared in my inventory now that I deleted something. How odd.

April 13th is on a sunday, they do major updates on tuesdays. And then there’s the Feature update on the 15th. GS is just being drunk like they usually are, they probably meant the 15th for the feature update.

The April 4-13th is probably referring to the sale it is talking about in the ad.

Ummmmm, yeah was kinda funny until you got to Treahearne. I don’t get why everyone says he took credit for everything, during the epilogue bit after you kill Zhaitan, he CLEARLY states that he wish he could’ve been there to see Zhaitan finally be defeated, he never once took credit for killing the dragon. All he did was cleanse Orr. Pay more attention to the story before going and making empty accusations about things that didn’t actually happen.

Do you think Trahearne is a real person or something? You seem to be defending him as if he is.

I have both and the Terrace misses the weapons specialist indeed. ANyway for now this si the only difference between them i could notice so far.

It’s missing the weapon specialist, the activity NPC, and the portal can’t take you to vigil keep – it takes you to the destroyed LA instead.

Yup. The way I see it, we’ve spent the last few LS patches in a grueling combat storyline. The feature patch is coming April 15, the next season of LS (I assume) a bit after that. We need something casual and relaxing. That, and, patch day falls perfectly on April Fools!

Who is Mordremoth’s lieutenant and why will it be 1,000 times more powerful than Mordremoth himself?

Scarlet Briar was basically one of Mordremoth’s lieutenants and she was ten times more powerful than all of the dragons combined; she even destroyed Lion’s Arch. :p

LOL this is for another thread but I strongly believe Anet should ban selling dungeon paths practices. Selling dungeon paths has caused some much upsets and scams I do not know why Anet allows it.

Dont have worm and Teq unique account bound skins as well?

Nope I am pretty sure the skins and mini are up on the TP. Very expensive but can be brought.

Tequatl and Wurm skins are ascended items – they cannot be traded on the trading post.

Belinda is a dead `fat´ lady walking, her talk in the bar might as well ended with everyone painting a target on her back.

I would not get too excited over Arena Net adding new zones, last year we only had two and one of those was small and temporary.

We only got one new zone in 2013 – Labyrinthine Cliffs.
Southsun Cove was added in November 2012.

Yeah this happens to me as well when I try to go to Vigil HQ from Royal Terrace. It doesn’t even make sense because there isn’t even a portal inside of Lion’s Arch that it portals me to – it’s just a random area in the middle of LA.

Going to bump this thread; I just created a new character and Caledon Forest server for BG is still horrendously broken.

The server just randomly disconnects me and makes it nearly impossible to even log into any character that I have in that zone. Getting my guardian out of that zone will be a nightmare.

I’m at 9/10 now. One of the secret ones is at the center of the breachmaker.

One audio file is some woman, speaking with a princess about her mother or something (don’t really know who it is) and the other one is a guy who says (to Kiel I think) that he should have helped her to warn the captains council in order to have a better defense for Scarlets attack at LA.

The female audio is Marjory’s sister talking to Jory about how hard Jory is making her life; her sister also says that their mother won’t stop talking about Jory. (I know this because of some open-world dialog that Jory has about her mother and sister in LA if you pay attention to her and Kasmeer talking – and also because in the audio file the girl refers to the person she’s talking to as ‘Marjy’ and she says “…mother never shuts up about you.”)

The second is Magnus the Bloody Handed talking about how he should have listened to Ellen Kiel and helped her warn the rest of the idiot council members of Scarlet’s coming attack.

Found Belongings and Heirlooms will become useless after the patch, so spend them now.

Blade Shards will have another use soon – so keep any of those that you have.

Can't enter EB due to lagg

I’m getting SEVERE skill lag suddenly while playing in EB Underworld.

I’m lagging out/disconnect and when I try to go back it takes about 2-3 minutes to load me into the map. When I’m loaded and try to use a skill, the skill starts blinking and nothing happens. Untill the skill fires +/- 1 minute later, or I get disconnected again.

I have no problems in any other part of the game (even borderlands are fine).

EBG (and sometimes the other maps) has constant lag during matchup reset in tier 1.

It’s called ‘skill lag’ by most people – it’s when the server simply can’t handle everything that’s going on; normally it happens when a fight is going on in SM between all 3 servers, but it can happen even when there isn’t a fight there.

“Stop stopping me!” – You don’ have to worry about that Scarlet, because I’m certain that you’re dead and stopped for good.

One great idea for (likely a few different fractals) would be to tell stories of The Guild Wars (the actual Guild Wars that the game is named after).

STORY:

  • A first Guild War fractal would likely take place near the beginning of the war, helping players better understand what the Guild War is and how it began in the first place.
  • Likely it could start with name-calling between Ascalonians and Krytans to set up the fractal’s context.

GAMEPLAY:

  • Start out the players as scouts – randomly assigned as either Ascalonian or Krytan. This will determine the side of the map they start on.
  • First, players are must survive an initial skirmish with the enemy soldiers. Then, they need to inform their leaders of the coming war that will happen now that this fighting has started.
  • The goal for the players is to reach their home city across the map (which will be a scaled down version of the travel between Kryta’s capital and Ascalon’s capital).
  • Players may choose to either go directly on the path where they may be ambushed by enemy soldiers, or they may choose to go around through things such as caverns where they may end up facing other things like monsters. Perhaps even add a third path around which will have the challenge of being a group jumping puzzle / puzzle for players to solve instead.

……………………….Second Guild War……………………….

STORY:

  • The second Guild War fractal could be of the final decisive battle in the war that the Ascalonians win.

GAMEPLAY:

  • Place the players on the losing side (Kryta) and make it an escape scenario where the players are soldiers of Kryta that have to escape and evade the armies of Ascalon.
  • Getting caught could get you overwhelmed by massive amounts of soldiers and siege.
  • This level would be very open and explorable and allow players to find new and different paths through a maze of a battlefield to their safety. Players might even decide to just fight through the overwhelming odds of an entire army to reach their escape.

……………………….Third Guild War……………………….
STORY:

  • A fractal about the third Guild Wars could take place in Orr/Arah, before it was sunk beneath the ocean by Vizier Khilbron.

GAMEPLAY:

  • Players should take the role of Orrians defending their nation against the Ascalonians and Krytans who are fighting each other in the streets of their city.
  • This could be a survival fractal where the players need to hold a position in the city against multiple fronts. Krytans come from one side and the Ascalonians from another.
  • The goal would simply be survival and eliminate all incoming enemies. Using powerful Orrian magic and technology, the players can set up the battlefield with their allies and siege before the survival starts (likely using a voting system to decide where allied NPCs/Siege will go).

Except for those pesky condition users. They might as well not play the events at all. /sarcasm

If arenanet wants to make a boss condition immune, it should be only to non-damaging conditions (blind, vulnerability, weakness, fear, immobilize, chill, cripple). Making enemies reflect damaging conditions makes it impossible for many players to do much of anything during this event.

I call fake. The plush clearly wasn’t representing Evon, heck, not even representing that human-who-I-cant-remember-the-name-of in those last few frames! Tsk tsk.

Nonsense. It’s completely real and not stitched together from two different runs of the final Scarlet instance. That would be ridiculous.
