generally focus party setup is 2 thieves, 1 mesmer 1 d/d ele and random ( I saw ranger, engineer or another mesmer) depends on the guild mostly (4-5 players in total). also, having less number of players in your focus party compared to the opposing team may yield to your focus party get focus and get downed at start even before harassing their periphery,which may ruin everything at that round. imo, I suggest roam with your focus party after raids so you will get some synergy and whisper list in ts, really helps a lot (better communication without interrupting the driver)

what i know from the gvg arenas are in 20 man group
6 warrior
6 guardian
3 staff ele
3 necros
1 thief
1 mesmer

if 25 man then add 1 player more from the top

That looks like NA influenced setup. In the EU meta focus parties are usually 3-5 people with at least 1 ele 1 thief 1 mesmer. Against the better EU guilds you can’t really afford to run less than 3 because focus parties are organised enough to spot and kill each other then immediately focus on taking down range.

The stat balance looks decent but you need a new sigil setup. Pretty much what NICENIKESHOE suggested having either energy/bloodlust on staff with energy/air/fire on gs. For more burst (what I prefer on my shatter specs) having both fire/air on gs and only running one energy sigil on staff.

Your rune choice should also depend on the type of roaming you do. I think pack is fantastic for team setups with other roamers. Travellers are still a viable option for the movement speed although the dps loss is a bit of a problem

Except Anet earns nothing by reducing the price from 500 Gems to a miniscule amount of Candy Corn or plastic fangs. Only thing they achieved is making the people who bought this with gems last year angry.

Why would they be angry they have had a year to reap the benefits of owning the miniature. Surely a similar analogy would be a game going free-to-play or having a huge discount a year after game was released. Should all those early purchasers be angry too?

Because people have real life. Players will miss events when real life takes over. I am very happy they bring stuff back, because I sometimes didn’t get the chance to enjoy it the first time around.

I’m not compelled to grind for “exclusive” pixels that are one-shot-only if you logged in on x amount of days. It’s one of the reasons I bought this game in the first place – I know it can fit in my busy life.

If you have the time to post on the internet forum, i’m sure you have the time to finish the quest.

Two weeks is enough time for even the most busiest of people, if they really care enough about an exclusive hat they will put the time into getting it.

Until they fix this you can just create a one man tpvp team without submitting (example screenshot) and that should stop them from inviting you. I tried this with two friends and I couldn’t invite them to tpvp so hopefully the trolling won’t get out of hand.

Why should you benefit from 1 sigil and then being able to swap it out and gain the benefits of another sigil.

Unfortunately the problem is that stacking sigils are not worth taking on main weapon sets so maybe they need more bonuses or benefits to a full stack to make them worth using over anything else.

You will get the legendary effects. Before the ascended weapon update people would transmute legendarys onto exotics because they didn’t want the default soldiers stats.

I think it’s just a case of learning his mechanics and killing him first try will become standard in groups once again. After doing this dungeon a couple of times post patch, I feel like I can consistently dodge his gravity defying jump attack. The cooldown between the leaps can be spent ressing team mates.

Not really sure why AG guilds bandwagon’d to Gandara because now they are going to be messed up by league queues, (I hear they are really stacked at the moment and it’s not even leagues!) meanwhile the guilds that stay on AG are going to have an easier time getting into the zone which is something you need for the next few weeks.

Way too rewarding for doing just over the course of a few days some few minute battles and gettign rewarded with something, that takes other players that are mostly no pvp’ers like an eternity to get….

The people who win this tournament are the type of people who have put an “eternity” of gametime into PvP and having nothing to show for it except their rank. Earning a legendary this way is more interesting than your average casual PvE champ train farmer..

These rewards will be only acceptable, if anet makes legendaries before of that tourney finally unsellable in the TP by changing legendaries into accountbound items.

Rewards for PvP are pretty garbage in general. The rewards earned in PvP with the amount of time playing does not match the rewards playing PvE. The people with the real financial advantages are those who are pure PvE players. The winners from this tournament are just playing catchup.

It’s fantastic though that they are offering rewards like this. Hopefully we will see more tournaments and rewards like this to encourage more PvP teams and players.

Was kinda happy when I found the top 3 NA servers were listed as full and I hope these T1 servers stay full during the price change. I don’t think any of the servers need more bandwagon players hoping to get easy wvw rewards.

After months of seeing WvW players complain about doing PvE content, it’s kinda funny seeing it the other way around.

Just suck it up, it’s 30 levels and if you’re not willing to play a small amount of something other than living story and dungeons to create the end-game legendaries then you don’t deserve anything.

Wow this is the golden age for servers like AM. This needs mass awareness, I really don’t like the idea of devs not fixing this before reset or it’s just going to be signet necros all night.

The changes could have been worse, I was expecting a reduction of over 30% but zerker is still going to be the main thing in dungeons and having an extra sigil on 2h weapon is going to be an interesting change for pve builds.

Yes, when you play in a party with 4 other people you need to contribute towards the party success. Play how you want rangers will ignore all the fantastic traits and utility that makes the class strong in parties and instead go for the selfish bearbow 1200 range strategy which contributes very little.

Its why if I bring my ranger or pug a ranger in dungeons I always gear/trait check to make sure they are using something that is actually useful to the group.

Huge waste of 800 gems. Would have been a decent item if it had any of the other materials, iron, platinum ect. This makes me worried about future permanent free items and utilities since Arenanet’s plan is to gemstore everything new with unreasonable prices.

Although the threads were full of trolling and drama, it was a pretty nice place for server communities to communicate with their opponents. I have no interest in registering on a community forum where anyone can create an account and purposely troll. Kinda hoping ArenaNet find an alternate solution for moderation and maybe set clearer guidelines on what should be posted.

2.9k of armor seems really excessive for a roaming build especially with the low power and condi damage, have you considered swapping out a couple of trinkets for zerk stats?

When I rolled this we used two guardians two warriors and an ele. Using staff chill on the shaman during bubble phase gave us enough time to burst half the elementals in the guardian shields. You can use wall of reflection once the majority of eles are down so the damage is minor. We had to have two players attacking and two kiting mobs then swapping to reset the bloodlust which I think was around 15 seconds.

It was definitely the hardest thing I have done in fractals and we never considered using condition bombs. Now that many players have 50 unlocked, people have the luxury of skipping 43 and facing the same problem you had.

Given this guys post history who praises his server more than providing a real point, it’s impossible to take anything he posts seriously if he believes “good” fights exist only on the most stacked servers.

Moving to a server like GH will provide you with plenty of opportunities for GvG vs other silver league guilds assuming GH doesn’t drop too many places after league. You can talk to guilds like INC, WBC and vK who have been GvG’ng all season what the competition was like.

This was during reset I mentioned that we had 3 guild groups too close together and that they should split. 5 minutes later we have this. Dat “co-incidental” portal-camping XD.

On the bright side had some fun duels in the arena, AG are a pretty nice server for finding 1v1s I just hope that GH rating doesn’t drop low enough that we can’t have a matchup again.

NA players always feel the need to post their server politics in the WvW discussion it’s kinda cute. When VZ wins their league nobody is expecting a “We won guys congrats to all these guilds” threads. XD

First night of Obsidian Arena, trolls would have checked out the new content on the first hour of patch what were you guys expecting lol.

Desolation are easily a gold league server, they can compete at the bottom of the league much better than Underworld is right now even though they’re considered bronze league by now.

With a very high population it’s much easier to find people who are willing to stay up and nightcap. Unfortunately Gunnars has always suffered from a lack of night time presence but I don’t blame people who don’t want to stay up for the points it’s just a game ect ect.

I’m pretty sure I have seen Buka roaming around with perplexity runes themselves. Pretty unfair to callout another guild when some of your members use it too..

Watch out boys. Sniper Elite Squad is a new elite epic swog roaming guild. We roam in the shadows and pounce on the unfortunate with our rifles of justice.

The matchup does have decent roaming potential, I’ll do some exploring on my mesmer because lolphantasm. Kodash has way too many thieves.

I didn’t hear anyone on ts3 talk about bringing an extra warrior for banners. Most of the resses were coordinated by the RAGE/TEO raid warriors.

I also heard there was a queue on our border so it seems unlikely these people would get in.

The amount of handholding between FSP guilds is ridiculous lol.

Or maybe PunK like to follow the other guilds because they can’t handle on their own..

GH needed a matchup like this for a long time. Our past matchups have been pretty boring, both Kodash and AG are going to competitive so I look forward to the outcome.

Has anyone confirmed if 50+ is still locked out. I would love to know now that I have 55 AR on my ranger.
