I dont like how the skill currently functions, they should just change it to a leap attack, and pressing 3 again will port you back to the original leaping location, and leave a clone at where you leaped.
mesmers have good utility how is that bad in pve? condition aoe removals, enemy buff removals, haste bubble, mass invisibility, projectile reflections.

Mink wrack exceed 10k? ive never heard of that. at best with 3 clones, + all of them critting it would be around 5k
Can be dodged, blocked, interrupted, LOS’ed. Not hard to do with the long cast. Classes critting for 10k now thats truly broken ahem theif/war

you dont calculate the power you obtain from having domination skill points into the illusions dmg. its a lot more complicated than what you put it. I never assume my illusions survive long enough for a second attack, therefore i think phantasmal haste is worthless. If you gain 15% dmg from illusions its a constant 15% that will always be there. PH will only benefit you if your illusions survive, which means a increase in dps for a chance they survive which is better? I rather go for a sure thing.
max ive seen it hit was 5-6k at level 80 on another player nothing ground breaking compared to a thief hitting 10k crits
karma gear or dungeon gear have the same variety of stats you can purchase on them, the only real difference is the appearance.
what can you do when thief/hammer war, crits you for 10k per pop? theres nothing you really can do about it, because eventually you will be hit. But then i think this game isnt balanced around 1v1 so im fine with losing 1v1 to them, as long as we capture that fort than im good.
I think it should cause 5 sec confusion, I mean it makes sense, you are stabbing their minds!
a easy way to do this just make the clones copy your actions, every single one except when you shatter they move to the target. For example if you cast a skill, make the clones do the exact same casting motion, except they dont actually cast anything. I rather have that than the next to nothing dmg they do.
They really need to redo the whole phantasm deal. Its so broken, they are so easily killed and are so slow in attacking. I suggest they persist through death, who likes to see their phantasm on permanent CD because 1) they get aoe’d down. 2) mob dies 3) you are out of reach from the mob hence wasting the skill. too stupid and broken
Or they could make scepters usable on the offhand, give us two new skills, one being a new phantom.

iberserker is one of the best aoe phantasms
iwarden as well
a lot of the times the clones trick your own teammates to the point where when you are downed and create a downed clone, they will try to rez your clone
Delay between attacks are too long even with Haste, its a broken system. In dungeons most of the time if not always the phantasms are destroyed before they get a 2nd attack. Shatter you say? sure lets say I shatter phantasms after their first attack, then i have to wait 15-20 secs to pump out another phantasm, that really hurts dps. so I propose a number of possibilities.
1) Increase attack speed (1-2 secs depending on the type of phantasm)
2) decrease CD of phantasms (3-5 secs)
3) Increase phantasm Health points (double hp)
4) allow phantasms to persist through mob death
At least one of these should fix the mesmer class.
um warden was not OP, you could easily walk out of range/any aoe pretty much one shotted warden in PVE. 90% of mobs have an aoe. Its so much garbage now, with its long delay even with haste, its rare to ever see warden attack a 2nd round. Mesmer DPS was kitten to begin with, warden was the only thing that gave us a chance to be on top.
Mesmers are supposed to be charming, so human does it best, sorry but huge giant like ppl nor a race with fangs are charming. Plus it has to be female.
So lets say I swap weapons that has 100 more power than the other. Does my phantasm gain 100 more power when I swap or is the power calculated when it is summoned?
Too many situational skills, and most of them are lacking in terms of power. I agree, either you make the situational effect very powerful, or make a passive effect that isnt so powerful, right now its situational underpowered effect.

Basically a Phantasm build, Pure PvE dps build, Usually I open up with Greatsword by the time the mob comes close swap to sword. Always dps first before summoning a phantasm so the mobs dont go for them. In long fights with 3 phantasms up, it is a beast for dps. (Note i dont shatter unless its near death, having 3 illusions up increases dmg by 9%)
Time warped with 3 wardens up once on the dragon, all i saw was numbers spamming my screen its epic.
i dont get it, i feel like mesmer dmg is the lowest how can they be OP. if you destroy mesmer illusions they basically have crap for dmg.

Thats like asking for raiding with your main character, and getting gear for your alts.
I think its random, ive had it summoned in front of me before. but having a ground targeted summon would be neat because then it can be strategically placed anywhere just for the reflection purposes.

Seriously, I used to want this myself, but now that I’m 80 I’ve started to understand that if my clones are surviving beyond my target’s lifespan, I’m not shattering enough. It’s not that hard to get more clones out—hell, you drop clones even if you try not to sometimes—and the same is true of phantasms (though slightly less so).
Then their target is almost dead, shatter your clones. Your AoE damage will be much higher than you’re used to and you won’t ever see your clones go away on target death again.
I think the issue is they are dying right as they are summoned because the mobs are aoe’d down so quick in events/dungeons.
Im kinda torn that the number of elite skills and normal skills in that matter from gw1 to 2 has been reduced by a huge amount, which makes for less customization.
It has a confusing tooltip, but it allows your phantasm to attack faster. Doesnt seem to be working on a few phantasm.
Yes!!! please for the love of god make phantasmal warden move towards the target, its stupidly easy to just run out of range and render it useless.
The traits are very contradicting to the class play style. You have increased attack speed for Phantasms (phantasmal haste), and increased dmg for having more illusions active (compounding power), and buffs for sacrificing illusions (Shattered strength), all in the same trait line, illusions. That makes no sense. Its a toss up between having 3 illusions up and sacrificing them, Its one or the other not both. Not to mention illusions shortens recharge on shattering so i assume its meant for a shattering build, yet its offering increasing dmg output for having more illusions up so why would you want to shatter them, it doenst make sense

One of the biggest gripes is that there is a summoning cast time on phantasms, a lot of the time, the mob dies while you finish summoning, and pretty much have to wait a full CD.
haha, well its not really hard to find the real target, 1 aoe to kill all the clones

If the clones do no dmg whats the point of empowered illusions in the domination skill line? (illusions do extra 15% dmg)
Illusions includes phantasm skills which do damage but don’t have as much vitality/toughness as clones.
So does that stack with Phantasmal Strength in the Inspiration skill line? (Phantasms do extra 15% dmg)?

Not sure if this has been posted, but I notice the anchor skill for mesmer’s trident #5 i believe? is bugged. It does really low dmg or no dmg at all despite the tooltip stating it hits multiple times at a pretty decent dmg. Has anyone noticed this as well?
The anchor skill that sinks targets underwater claims to do xxx amount of dmg, but when used it does a fraction of that dmg? Not sure if thats intended or a bug but just putting it up there if anyone has noticed the same issue.
