It’s a bit silly really don’t you think? Having an entire set of weapons being unobtainable for something as simple as a WvW tournament.
I guess the only other thing Anet can do then is add in a new reward track to gain tournament tokens so the mistforged weapons aren’t completely redundant.

So Anet, are we ever going to have another WvW tournament? The last one was back in 2014 (2-years ago). I’ve had hero weapons floating around in my Bank for 2-years waiting for the next tournament so I can upgrades them to mistforged weapons and it’s starting to look like it’s not going to happen again.
Might just be worth throwing it out there as well that currently WvW is the only game type that is still to get a legendary backpack…

I kind of agree with you about the old system of influence, whereby you gain it for doing certain tasks around the world and that influence was spent to active boost for your guild. With the new system sadly there is really no real difference between guilds anymore and guilds have nothing unique to market themselves on, for the simple fact that once you fully upgrade your guild hall you gain all the same benefits as any other guild, making it very difficult to market your guild... there needs to be some freedom put back into the game where guilds are concerned.
Sadly the OP lost me with the suggestion of Weapons Broken beyond repair... That is a rather bold statement to make. I put this to you. Can you imagine putting all that money and effort into a precursor collection and then throwing A LOT more time and money into making a legendary only to later have that legendary weapon break beyond repair... we are talking over 1,000 gold... Gone! Just like that!
If that were the case I can imagine the game would very quickly be shut down due to players simply leaving the game, I know I would!
Frizz, It’s my understanding that the boss has some very specific spawn mechanics and should we merely "go do something else" there is a very high chance you will miss the boss spawn.
There is a rather big question mark over map instances vs. Timers. There is so little we actually know about this event that it almost forces you to stand in a map and wait for the boss to spawn.

I realise people have posted about these separately, but thought it would be a good idea to put them all under one thread. So here is my list of bugs that should be looked into, soon please:
1. Guild Music – The Caverns Music will play but will not save, also after leaving the hall and coming back the selected music generally doesn’t play, it’s more often after visiting lions arch and the fanfare music is playing, after it end it all goes quiet.
2. Arena Decorating – You just can’t do it, at all!
3. Workshop – We have upgraded the building almost to max, it will randomly turn back to rubble. You can walk through the rubble as if it’s not actually there, but it’s visually there.
4. Guild Emblem – All the banner flags in the Guild hall are backwards. We don’t have a symmetrical Emblem so on all the banners the Emblem is actually back to front. (See image).
5. Resonance Broker – (See image 2) The description states that any remaining influence will be converted. Yet it doesn’t, instead you get an error stating that the transaction cannot be completed.
That’s all I got for now. Anet, can we please have an ETA on fixes for these, or just a nob to acknowledge that you are aware and are going to fix.

On all the banners My Guild Emblem is backwards! I know it’s really petty, but it’s irritating me. Can you add this to the very long list of things to fix?
Risk vs. Reward really needs addressing in an Anet meeting. The fact you can spend up to half an hour doing a jumping puzzle (Not so Secret, Silverwastes to name but a couple) only to get to the end for an outstandingly offensive reward.
Personally I think everyone’s first time opening the chest should Guarantee something good, additional goes after that should return to how it is now (to prevent farming).
Further to that argument, which is something that makes me want to ragequit every time it happens. Is the "oh so offensive" and "oh so unrewarding" Achievement Chests. Now don’t get me wrong, the Weapon and Armour skins along with account bonuses are very nice... But then you get this Chest...
You have spent 3-years in the game, beating all the challenges that Anet have created for you, like jumping puzzles and world bosses (which give junk loot most of the time). Then you hit that milestone... YES 19,000 Achievement points, time to open my "well done chest"...
Well... It just felt like Anet came to my house, sat on my couch, ate my dinner, snuggled with my mum and then promptly slapped me in the face before leaving, whispering "Thanks for playing mother F****R!".
Seriously:
- A box of fun: Just one more thing to clog up my inventory, guess i’ll just drop in in LA and run!
- Blueprints: Well if I played WvW a lot then these would be even more useless to me as they drop pretty frequently... Failing that I could get them on the TP for next to nothing...
- Mystic Forge Stone: Great another load to add to the Stacks I have sitting in my Chest, of which I don’t have any use for!
- Boosters: Seriously... 19k chest and you give me Boosters? I ask you, do you really think I need or will even use them?
- Karma: Ok, you go me there... Thanks.
But seriously, I’d be MUCH happier and less insulted if it had something like, A basic skin set, Essence of Luck or even Crafting Materials...

As the title suggests.
I thought it would be really neat to have a minipet that follows you are like every other mini, apart from it looks identical to you. Perhaps with an additional ability to dress it differently to you (but that’s not crucial). I would definitely buy the Mini-Me from the Gem Store.

Erm… So I paid £60 for the HoT Expansion with the understanding (albeit I misunderstood), that I would be given special access to BETA’s and Stress tests!
If you read it carefully it states “Weekends” but as we are usually left in the dark about Beta’s and stress tests I wasn’t expecting to find that I’ve spent my money on a “chance” to be included in these tests.
The ONLY reason I pre-purchased was to get access to all the BETA’s and Stress tests and now I find that I probably won’t get a chance to play them all.
I’m sick to death of all this crap. ANET sort yourselves out, if you had every intention of screwing us over once again, then the least you could have done is informed us before we gave you our money.
I’m in 2 minds about getting trading standards involved because this is BANG out of order. For all we know you can just put stress tests and Beta’s one any day of the week with a “special invite only” attached to it and can screw over all those who have pre-purchased because you stated “ah it’s weekends only… oh sorry did we not mention there will only be 2 of those before we launch the game. Please take this complimentary slap in the face for your loyalty!”

I didn’t even know they buffed Teq... But then I have pretty much mastered all achievements (non-farming one’s anyway), so i’m running out of reasons to play the game.
from what I’ve read, they have doubled Teq’s HP... I guess this is to put a stop to the back to back phases. well i have a simpler solution to that rather than boosting his HP beyond all possibility of beating him... SHORTEN THE STUN TIME ON HIM!

Hmmm… I dunno, I kind of agree with the OP. Basically this game has always been about the Zerker. Sadly from the first time someone asked me “What build should I run for my [Enter Class Here]” the answer has always been “Zerker”. There is no call for people to run any other build, unless it’s PvP. But PvE and to a certain extent WvW too… It’s all about the Zerker.
It’s a tricky one to be sure. Anet really need to look at the Holy Trinity of the game and fix it so that people make a build based on the class that they are and the way they want to run it.
For Example: Running as an Ele… Hmm Ele’s do a lot of Conditions, I’ll build a condition Ele… The stats should be something like “Average Attack, High Condition Damage, Low Vitality and Average Defense” Something like that.
Basically the games needs 1 of 3 things.
1. Remove Zerker completely.
2. Boost all defense to counter Zerker.
3. Merge Zerker into ALL armour so everyone is Zerker but has to choose between other stats. Like Condition, or Vitality, or Defense, or any other stats that are in the game.
Personally I think point 3 would solve the issue of a Zerk fest, as it wouldn’t exist anymore. Thus forcing people to re-evaluate there build and stats.

Not being funny, but when I’m playing the game I’m not really looking at… Walls… and the floor… and rarely am I looking at the crotches of female characters.
I’m sure they will update the graphics at some point to keep up with the times, but much like EVERY update Anet release, someone will complain about it.

“I’m getting major Lag on Top graphic settings, that’s not fair QQ”
“My PC keep crashing cuz my GPU can’t handle the graphics”

I think Anet are looking after us by not going OTT with graphics, until such a time that Guild Wars graphics is lowest of the low. I feel Anet are fine to continue to spend time working on giving us content/something to do rather than a complete graphics overhaul.
The only change I wanna see (Graphics Wise) is a fix on reflections. Go find a reflective surface in the game and stand your character in front of it. It’s laughable that your reflection is merely a copy of the back of your head, so my character is looking in a mirror and can see the back of his head... Really?
Look Anet, if you can’t do it right then save yourself the embarrassment at a really poor attempt and just take it out of the game until such time that it can be added in correctly.
Can’t say I even noticed to be honest... But then I have Skill/Hero points to spare and don’t really have any other use for them so... yeah. Sorry that you are having an issue with it, i wouldn’t let it put you off, all Game Devs make mistakes from time to time... some bigger than others. But they mean well!
All of them… Skins are fun. I never quite understood the whole reasoning behind removing things from the Gemstore… it’s like having an unlimited space in a shop in every time and then removing lines due to lack of space… It doesn’t make sense.
If it’s a gem store purchase, then why not just leave it there permanently, so people can actually spend money on them… removing them just seems like bad business sense. ANET I WANT TO GIVE YOU MONEY – PLEASE LET ME DO THAT!

Irrespective, there is one very simple solution to your problem. Go to a private Instance with your team.
There are Home Instances, the Eye of the North, Personal Story Instances, Living Story Instance and Dungeons. Which makes up for a lot of area’s where you will get zero interruption from other players.

Well you got 2 choices then. You can either go with my suggestion which gives you the option of 5 Home Instances plus Eye of the North and 8 Dungeons. Along with the possible story instances equally anything between 1-100. (so no not confined to ONE area at all, don’t over exaggerate).
Or your other option is to carry on as you are and see that you are the one with the problem of “troublesome players” but refuse to take the steps you need to avoid it.
End of the day that’s your call. I’m just trying to give you solutions, if they are not acceptable to you then i’m afraid it a case of “put up and shut up!” May seem harsh but if you’re not willing to, why should anyone else be?

What you are suggesting is that the roleplayers who may for example, roleplaying Ministers, to go somewhere other than where lore-wise Ministers would do their duties.
What you are suggesting is that roleplayers should be the ones to change the way they play the game, when it’s anti-Roleplay trolls that need to change their behaviours.
Roleplayers have as much right as non-roleplayers to use /say chat and /emotes as long as (just like non-Roleplayers) they are not using it to maliciously cause hurt or upset in accordance with ArenaNet’s ToS. Which at least as far as Piken Square roleplayers are concerned, it rarely if at all happens.

Let’s put it into context shall we. If you were sitting in a park with a bunch of your friends and then some guys come along who are playing football and you don’t like it cuz the ball keeps coming over to you. You simply have 2 choices. Either stay there and put up with it, or go elsewhere.
Meaning, they have as much right to be there as you do. I doubt very much the police would arrest these individuals for disturbing you. Which is pretty much what the OP is suggesting.
I’m sorry but if you want to guarantee that your role play will not be interrupted then you will simply have to go somewhere where you CANNOT be interrupted. Otherwise there will always be a chance that someone will come along and spoil your fun.
I gave up on doing daily dynamic events because I found that 9/10 times players would complete the event before I had a chance to get there… You don’t see me trying to report them for messing up my plans… It happens and everyone has equal right to do whatever they want in the game and the game was raised on “Play how you want to play”.
Believe me, I know how you feel. I have a YouTube channel called “Game Slob” and quite a few times Myself and Nathrezz have had players jumping around and causing an issue so we cannot start filming, to the point where were have moved away and they follow us. We have even been forced to go to another waypoint away from them just so we can start filming. As much as i’d like to get rid of them, it’s just something you have to put up with… if you are not willing to move and work around those players then you only have yourself to blame.
Yes it can be irritating, but I’m sorry, it’s something we just have to deal with.
IMO, Remove Fractals from the daily. For me it’s the most aggravating Daily as I quite simply despise Fractals… you can imagine my despair when it’s a double daily fractal… Urgh. Fractals and other Daily dungeons should be added as a separate daily and then up the daily cap to 4 rather than 3. Then put some better PvE one’s in.
Just my thoughts on the matter.

The only reason I kick people from my guild is if they stop representing us. The only reason I do that is because we are a very large guild and I have to keep tabs on people so that I can ensure we have enough space to recruit more should anyone go inactive.
Do you have more than one toon/character? It may help you to know that Guilds are character bound, so if you switch character then you will be showing as “not representing” to that guild until you manually go into the guild panel and represent with that character.
That may be the reason why you were kicked, seemingly without reason.

Totally with you on this mate, I saw your post (which we may get merged lol). It is such an obvious move and I actually got quite excited when I logged in today… but then I realised there was no new content… other than a few NPC’s and scaffolding… which was really disappointing.
As I said in my OP, I’m not moaning about the rebuild itself cuz I’m excited to see what the new LA will look like and look forward to seeing all my favourite places fixed up and made better. Just a shame we couldn’t be more involved in the ever changing world where:

Yes people can argue that in previous chapters we did events to raise the funds, but I’m pretty sure that even if no-one did those events we would still see the same results… Therefore our actions mean “Squat”. The world is changing regardless of what we do, so our actions are meaningless…
Would have been nice to actually assist in building LA again, at least it would feel like we were actually changing the world (even though it’s quite clear we are not).

Not sure if you were being sarky or not… either way it made me laugh. But Actually yeah, kinda I guess… Just nothing too in depth… just something to keep us slightly entertained… while we wait (Very Patiently) for HoT.
It takes them about four months to create things like you’re suggesting. I’d rather not have them stop everything for four months … I want HoT before then!

So it was very exciting to see Lion’s Arch being rebuilt today, or the beginning of it anyway. I only have 1 single comment:
WHY CAN’T WE HELP?
It’s a little infuriating that I’m left with farming Giants and Oakhearts for the slayer achievements as I am literally running out of things to do in the game, but I wanna keep playing. I searched all over Lions Arch and although the scenery is changing and it’s really cool to see it finally being rebuilt, I would have loved a few dynamic events to have been added in to help with the build efforts, perhaps go out into the world and find a few items to help with certain tasks. A few achievements would have gone amiss…
But nothing… Just purely visual.
I understand Anet are working on HoT, but I think they need to remember that nothing new has been added to the game since the last chapter of the Living Story and for veteran players like myself, I’m really struggling to find a need to login each day. If every there was a perfect opportunity to add in something new and to keep us occupied for a bit longer… Rebuilding Lions Arch was it!

I noticed that loading screens have become smaller since the patch.
In the beginning of GW2 there were little captions below the loading screen stuff and i was wondering if this is something we can expect to see returning now that it seems the space is available… I do hope so!
Having a legendary should be more than fx, slightly more damage and selectable stats. I suggest that each legendary have a unique utility slot associated with it with 2-3 unique skills to choose from. I don’t have a one, but it isn’t worth all the effort to craft one at the moment imo.
No, to higher damage as that gives advantage over other players and can lead to ruining the Trinity. (especially in PvP and WvW), giving an unfair advantage.
Selectable stats, it already has that within the confines of the trinity, once again!
Unique Utility slot… Just no, pointless.
2-3 unique skills… and what if those skills are not as good as the standard weapon after a nerf, or become OP? more trouble than it’s worth, and again gives an advantage over others!
I really don’t see the issue here… we are talking about +2px height and -10px left and right… Really, does this even constitute a forum post? It’s the smallest little change that neither adds nor takes from the game.

This idea isn’t all bad.
I think it could work if it had the same kind of mechanic as the Matrix Cube Key:

But on a grander scale. Basically you have to acquire the sigil first (via salvaging or or TP) and then take the sigil and your weapon to an NPC to add it’s “power” to your legendary weapon. Then you can have free switch usage on those sigils as and when you want.
To just give them the option outright is not something i would support, but players should be rewarded for gaining the sigil in the first place, but would be consumed by the NPC so you couldn’t just buy “infuse” and sell again.
… If that makes any sense at all lol
Ok, simple answer is: It’s the economy!
That’s all there is to it, some legendary weapons require more expensive materials that others… But that’s just tough! If you want it, you’ll work for it! Sometimes you’ll get them cheaper and sometimes they will go up in price… It’s just down to demand.
I don’t see what you aim to achieve with this post, ANET will not revise the cost of ascended items just because prices on certain materials have gone up. If you are so opposed to paying that much… Then wait for the price to go down!

Aren’t lore books in the game?
Possibly, but not like they are shown in the video. I like the 3D model to look at while you read the lore. Can express how much I want this re-added to the game… I’m a lore junkie though so might just be me lol.
Well 2 things.
1. To introduce a new armourset to the Gem Store, they will need to make 3 versions of it (light, medium and heavy) which takes up a lot more time than simply creating a generic outfit.
2. If you don’t want the outfit… Don’t buy it!
We have recently had a new armourset added tot he game (Silverwastes Armour), so to say that they are not giving us new armour sets is unfounded. They will give us new TP armour sets when they have a relevant one to add… they won’t just slap stuff into the gem store for the sake of it… it has to have some sort of relevance to the current game situation. Perhaps wait for the Expansion where i’m sure many new armoursets will be added.
I’ve noticed that the streamed HoT demos all start with that loading screen. Whether that means it will return to live builds is anyone’s guess.
I hope so.
What I REALLY want though is the “Lore Books” The more the better… Like one for every Champion in the game would make me soooo happy lol. I absolutely love the collection achievements (even if some are stupidly expensive with a really naff reward at the end making it unworthy of your time… Anet take a look at that!). I would love to have a collection that you could click the books that you have gotten which will then show you a 3D model of the NPC and some Lore about him/her.
We now have a good enough system to add it back in, so why not?

I agree, GW2 is all about aesthetics. So why not have a visually pleasing login screen? I really do like it and i doubt very much that it would take a lot of work to reimplement it. Perhaps one for Anet to reconsider, I mean I wouldn’t ask them to put it on their list of high priorities, but perhaps would be a nice thing to bring back with the expansion pack. Perhaps change the GW2 dragon logo to the HoT one instead… Just a thought!

I’ll go first:
- - I really like the intro screen and would really like to see that put back in.
- - OH MY GOD. Why was this removed? I love the idea of Lore books. I can understand why it was removed in the first instance as it supposedly had bugs. However Now that we are this far in, wouldn’t it be awesome if these lore books were reintroduced as a “Collection”. It certainly would make sense and would also give players something interesting to read for extra insight to the games lore. Included in this could be Scarlets Journal, Marjory’s Journal and the Zephyr Sanctum Model. Now i realise you cannot get Scarlet’s journal anymore, so Anet could always add it in as a freeby when you enter Scarlets old hideout near the Priory. Further manuals should be dropped by the Champs/Legendaries of which the books are about. Would be so nice to see this added.
- - Now I really like the idea of the Killstreaks. This could be a fun set of achievements whereby you would have to kill X-amount of the same enemy type to get the kill streak achievements. Naturally this could be a pain the the back side to complete, especially if there are other enemies around that are attacking you. But hey, who said achievements were made to be easy right?
- - Now that would be handy… An NPC or even a new crafting profession (or an addition to the cooking profession) that allows for the combination of different coloured dyes. So for example combining Blue and Yellow Dye would result in a Green shade dye… Heck you could even do this with a few tweaks of the mystic forge. Allowing players to gamble certain dye colours and rarity’s to get the colours they are after. Currently (as it stands) the mystic forge will take 4 dyes in and throw out a completely random colour which has no relevance to the colours you put in… It would be really nice if there was a better way to get your hands on the colours you want by recycling the colours you already have.
- - I really like the idea of having lore and tips display during the loading screen, much like many other games do. I don’t think it would take too much effort to re-implement this and i would find it gives me something to look at during those long loading sessions when porting over to a highly populated map.
That’s my thoughts. What do you guys think?

Just to clear up any misunderstandings of me being a “casual” the reason I wanted this path more active is that there are 2-3 more achievements i need from this path and then I’ve pretty much completed all achievements… bar the one’s i outright refuse to farm (like weapon master) as I will get them at some point without even trying.
Naturally, of course. I don’t want the path to be nerfed to the point where you can just waltz through without any danger of dying. Hence why in my OP is said “Tiny nerf”. I suggested it purely on the basis of getting others interested. Trust me, if it were solo-able I would have done so. The issue was I find it very difficult to find a group and as it has been stated, you need to be there at the right time to find a PUG.
Anyway, it seems that the general opinion is that the rewards should be better to get people interested. I’d be happy with that!
it would be really sad if Anet did nothing to increase the popularity of this path as it is actually a really fun and challenging path to do, just a shame it’s so hard to find a group to do it with (when compared to all the other dungeons).
No. The rewards in Aether path are fine, just a little RNG based (like everything else).
For example: Xanthium (staff that only drops in Aether path) sells for 700g (at least when I picked it up a few weeks ago)
Just looked it 900g now with just 7 available… Which when you compare that to the Bifrost which has 17 available on the TP… Just proves that no-one does the Aetherpath, otherwise there would be a lot more Xanthium on the TP.
This path is quite good if we don’t count abyssmal rewards and unskipable cutscenes.
So how about get a group and learn how to play better?
Like i said… Finding a group who want to actually do it is like finding a chicken tooth. To then ask that group to do the path repeatedly… You must be off your rocker!
Yes it’s a sad tale that i still have some achievements i need to get for the TA Aether Path.
The issue is that it seems that people don’t bother with this path as it’s quite difficult. I understand there are a few elitest out there who like the harder content… But sadly it’s gotten to a point where I cannot even find a party in LFG and any time you mention it people say “HELL NO! It’s just too kitten long winded and hard, with an unsubstantial reward at the end” so very few bother.
I’d like to suggest a Tiny nerf to make it a little bit easier so that people at least run the path again… either that or make the rewards worth the time invested.
I’d just like to see this path used a bit more often like the other dungeons, it’s just an added bonus that I could then find a team to go with and get those achievements that keep glaring at me, calling me a loser! lol

I think buy doing this you would actually damage the game and it’s development. We have to remember that GW2 is not a subscription game, so once the initial purchase of the game is done, ANET only gain additional money through gem purchases.
Without that extra income, Anet probably wouldn’t be able to hire so many staff which means we can say good-bye to living story and expansions would be bashed out as quickly as possible with a lot of shortcuts taken and not half as good as they could be…
All in all, this gets a -1 from me. Sorry!
Checked today and Both NPC’s are there and working as expected. Having said that it’s a Sunday so many players will be on this map for 2-MULT so I MAY have been pushed into an overflow. Watch this space… Please continue to report if it is still bugged!
