However as much as I understand why it is wanted. I don’t feel that it is a good change. The necro may not not have vigor, blocks or invulns but it has a lot of HP, and can be traited to be extremely tanky, (as mine is).

Look at its counter the guardian, who has alot of boons, blocks and arguably vigor. Guardians have one of the smallest hp pool while Necros have one of the largest. It is a question of balance.

One word: Warrior.

Our membership is friendly and diverse and our players live all over the world. We all get along really well.

Requirements
*Level 80
*Teamspeak and mic. Mic usage required for GvGs.
*Frequent participation in our raids.
*Willingness to to adjust your build to one of our synergy builds during raid.
*Rep is required only during raid but appreciated at other times.
*Having a personality that meshes with the group is just as important as individual skill.
*Quaggan backpacks are an important part of our group synergy builds.

Raids & GvGs
*We raid at roughly 10:30 pm AEST most weekdays. Weekends are a little more ad hoc.
*We GvG and scrimm as often as we can during OCX/SEA and we verse NA guilds most weekends on Sunday afternoon AEST.
*Our GvG team is competitive. We put the best players in that we have available so if you want a spot you’ll need to earn it.
*We’re just starting to do guild missions

My guild scrimms with [This] often and they’re a great bunch of people who are always looking to up their game. Check them out for sure!

Just last week we came across an uplevel warrior killing a moa outside of red keep in EBG. The moa seemed to have the upper hand but I got my mesmer friend to moa morph the warrior anyway so we could watch a moa v moa duel. The moa almost won too! If he had just timed his daze half a second earlier it would’ve interrupted the warrior’s heal and he had barely a sliver of health left.

I would love to see Obsidian Sanctum as a cross-server instance so we could GvG guilds outside of the current matchup. So if making EotM furthers that goal in some way I’m all for it.

Mostly though I haven’t taken to EotM. Too much PvE and at the times I play (OCX) it seems pretty dead.

hmmm i believe its more than just those 2 guilds. noticed at late oceanix/sea that sos runs now with 40+ man zergs almost everywhere. and i saw a bunch of newguilds.
but could be all the fairweathers showing up

Partly this is because the servers we are facing have more of a SEA than OCX presence. We get bored OCX and stay up late to have some fights! I know that our guild has shifted to accommodate this as well as the work schedule of one of our drivers. We’ve also been joined by a couple of SEA time guilds. Taken together all of this probably explains the change.

Ugh. Whyyyyyyyyy.

I get it. We are hard to please. Half the population doesn’t want blowouts every week and the other half relishes being outnumbered and doesn’t want the same stale matchups ad infinitum. Surely there’s a happy medium between these two extremes? Can’t we roll high one week and low the next? Something?

Hmmm. I don’t mind losing to SBI if it means that they actually come out and fight us now! Are you guys pulling insane hours or do you have a lot of fairweathers?

It really, really is. Every night I wish upon a star for that bug where you couldn’t place any siege to return.

I miss gold league. Never had to go looking for a fight there. This matchup is excruciating for ocx players who want fights.

I personally would like to see more matches like we had in gold league. SoS is an interesting one to balance for sure. When we face T1 servers some of our NA really love it and some feel like you do. However when we fall down a little lower in the ranks like we are now the Oceanic timezone players are bored out of their skulls.

It sounds like you mostly wvw for map completion? In that case I think it’s probably just a case of being patient. Eventually we will be the color you need and you can get your vistas. Another thing you might try is logging in during the last few hours before reset. That’s kind of an unofficial karma train time and objectives change hands frequently.

This week has been fun. Last night, there were constant 3 way fights outside between garrison and bay. It was not about ppt and everyone just fighting to fight. A great time. Much respect to CNB (best guild name btw), YOLO, STUN, PiNK, and the whole slew of FA people who fought.

Heck, yeah! Those were some epic fun fights last night.

Tonight our catas were firing presents some of the time and the regular rocks at other times. I’d rather have the presents all the time. We just want to give you presssies, FA!

The mere existence of this thread proves the falsity of your assertion. If there really were no problem you wouldn’t see posts like the OP’s and other posts in support.

What I find toxic to the community is yelling that there is no problem in an attempt to curtail discussion.

I don’t know if support can help you or not. But you should definitely submit an official ticket so that a rep can give you a definitive answer instead of relying on info given by other players.

Hi! I mostly agree with the underlying sentiment of your message but I do want to point out that the TeamSpeak server isn’t free. It’s paid via donations from SoS citizens. It’s definitely a resource that everyone on SoS can make use of though whether they donate or not.

SoS. Cuz no matter the circumstances, they’ll attack whatever they want, whenever they want, and won’t care. They will bash their heads against a keep/tower/camp for hours, even if they never get it, it doesn’t seem to matter to them. They are the most persistent players I have ever seen.

Skills can be learned, persistence is a trait a person has or doesn’t have. Although their play level is lower, they have the potential to be very deadly.

Mine wasn’t mailed. I believe it was in a chest that pops up in the lower right of the screen as rank chests do.

I know its your shakedown week. Good job on making it to tier 2 and the gold league. You are brave to want to get better because eventually we will fight against the tier 1 servers and that will become our ultimate test of endurance.

Its bravery to fight so hard to reach tier 2 knowing the kind of competitiveness we will get when tier 1 and tier 2 servers are mixed up on these gold league battles.

I am often confused by what I quoted above though. On my server we have faced T1 servers multiple times since the new matchup system began. We know what we’re getting into.

I agree with OP. It’s true that we’ve seen a massive influx of people. Some of whom will never set foot in WvW after they get their AP and some whose interest will be piqued enough to potentially become dedicated WvWers. It’s fairly obvious to me that the way to encourage people to want to play with us is to….. be nice to them and not act like jerks.

Yes, geeky guys are often ostracized. It’s the difference between how geeky guys and geeky girls are ostracized that is key. Geeky guys may be mocked by people who don’t share geeky hobbies although thankfully this has changed a lot in the past decade.

Geek girls? They are additionally ostracized from within the geek community by bullkitten, gate-keeping geek purity tests (among other methods) that boil down to the idea, “How can you be a geek? If that’s so then and the matchup consists of two well-matched servers playing a weaker third server they’ll cannibalize as much of the third server’s territory as possible to stay competitive. And of course there are points per stomp when the bloodlust buff is in effect.

SoS knows what SoR zergs are like. We’ve faced them twice since the new matchup system was introduced. I can’t honestly say I’ve noticed a difference between them. Of course whenever we face any of the top three I imagine we see a different kind of turnout than you get in an even matchup.

I think that whatever league we end up in I will play exactly the same way I always do — logging in every day and finding something fun/rewarding to do no matter what the numbers on the screen say. Whether that’s taking keeps and towers, defending them, disrupting enemy supply lines or just finding some satisfying brawls in the ruins, it really doesn’t matter to me.

Last week I was roaming with one of my guildmates and we were taking a sentry when a perma stealth thief rocks up. S/he wasn’t doing that much damage to us but was clearly taking delight in remaining out of stealth juuuust long enough to stop the sentry cap again and again and again. I noticed that I had a stealth trap and 10 supply on me so I thought, “why not?” While my guildie was keeping the thief busy I placed the trap in the middle of the cap circle and then stood on it and waited for the thief to go after me. S/he did and then couldn’t stealth and was very quickly killed.

Being able to counter troll a troll? Effing priceless.

When was the last time a T1 server faced a T3 or lower server? Where does it say that T3 and lower servers are gonna get matched up with T1 servers? Just because you’re in the same league doesn’t mean you’re gonna fight each other. In no way should anet force people to transfer out of their server. Some have been there since day one…
