So I am torn at the moment between which one to make my primary stat for tanking…
If I go Vitality / Healing Power I have high hp and regen…which seems strong.
bug I can also go Vitality / Toughness for mitigation and take less damage and still have 300-500 healing power (which is very basic healing)
Is it worth it to stack healing power over toughness or should mitigation always be chosen over regeneration?
The reward at the end is knowing my guy is a kitten tank that brings more to the table in WvW when it comes to being the lead in for zerg packs.
Problem is I don’t have 250 days just to farm an Amulet, 2 rings and 2 accessories…thats insane.
So I ran Twilight Arbor with my guild (Been over a week since I ran Twilight Arbor) and we decided to run the spider path. I have my original 30 tokens from the first run i ever did in Twilight Arbor a week ago.
We finished the run and 3 of our guys who had never ran Twilight Arbor got 60 tokens as intended but me and another guy who had ran Twilight Arbor in the past only got 30 tokens.
Then to make it more frustrating the 30 new tokens do not STACK in my bag with my older Twilight Arbor tokens…
I reported the bug ingame now I’m reporting it here…I’ve been jipped 30 tokens and now my bag as multiple stacks of unstackable tokens.
Lemme look I may not of scrolled all the way down…
I’m on my servers WvW zone and I can see the Equipment Vendor and the Weapon Vendor….but here is the “Invaders Accessory” Vendor…that sells the:
Invader Rings
Invader Amulets
Invader Accessories
If anyone can point me in the right direction that would be fantastic!
Thanks but this feature should be ingame regardless
I would probably spend FAR more of my gold stock if I could SEE what the weapon/armor actually looks like before buying it! So hard to fork out money when you can’t even tell what the skin looks like!
You aren’t proving anything here you are still doing this by kiting and dying and suiciding which is everyone’s issue with the room…it is not a viable mechanic to suicide dance an event.
And the guy (not a fan of him) behind the dungeon says kiting is NOT the intended method he wants you to kill EVERY mob before the new set spawns…kiting is not an option to him.
The point is the entire community thinks hes delusional and to this day Mr. Hrouda has yet to show 1 video of him capable of doing this event himself.
Just keep die with your steel will is the only way to clear the CoF nowadays. I got the CoF pieces that I want yesterday.
Mr. Hrouda is a Content Designer who designed the stages for the Elite of the Elite players. It doesn’t mean he is the elite player that he focused on. Of course, waiting his video is just waste time. Or may be he will release the video, all the group members are wearing the legendary gears and clear the CoF.
Train up your will for be killed, and get the tokens is more meaningful.
It’s a level 75 dungeon not a level 80 dungeon…it has to be designed for level 75s in blues and greens to complete as their entry level 80 dungeon.
Instead its impossible even for those in Arah gear. Which is the real problem if you can do Arah and get geared out in Arah gear before you can in CoF then you don’t need to do CoF.
And thus his “plan” and “concept” is a diabolically disastrous failure.
Tank Gear and You...impossible to get at the moment...can't play my own style...

dude u need a better graphic card first
Has nothing to do with the graphics the game takes low res jpeg photos in the stock exe and I was too lazy to load up the png exe to get a crisp picture of an empty dungeon.
Tank Gear and You...impossible to get at the moment...can't play my own style...

Thats nice to know that all i need to do is play WvW for 700 hours to make up the cost of 252,000 Karma…
-.- Just to have the equivalent gear my fellow “CoF Farmers” got in 5 days without penalty.
The product of ANET releasing Patches without a PTR environment….get used to this.
Tank Gear and You...impossible to get at the moment...can't play my own style...
Posted by: Crucifer.2831
So I am having a major issue at the moment I am a tank warrior who does just that in multiple areas of the game…tank.
When I run dungeons I go in first and tank all the mobs to that they don’t go running amok. In WvW I tank all the NPC’s at each node area so that my team can deal with the opposing team / kill the NPCs faster with AoE to take over supply camps…etc.
The gear I obviously am trying to get is:
+Power
+Toughness
+Vitality
There is only 3 places you can get the level 80 exotic gear with those 3 stats as NONE of the crafted / BoE Exotics will ever generate those stats.
You can get them from:
Honor of the Waves – 1800+ tokens (Over 100 runs)
WvW – 1500+ Honor Tokens (Practically impossible to get will explain below)
Arah Vendor – Chest/Gloves (might be boots total cost 84,000 Karma)
Arah vendor has 2 pieces of max exotics with those stats that cost 84,000 Karma for both and is currently the only 2 I have because that is the only two I can viably get.
I can’t get the WvW Honor Tokens one because of the ridiculously stupid necessary means to get one is as a TANK (Low damage/high survivability) character I am not getting the “Killing Blows” in fights…a burst speed Thief or Warrior or Mesmer is…where there are insta “Finishing” people with utility skills making it impossible for me to ever get any Tokens. In the 100+ hours of WvW that I have done I have only gotten 46 tokens. It’s miserable rate of rewards for tanks in WvW.
Then we get to the real issue at hand Honor of the Waves….is the ONLY dungeon at level 80 that supplies the Heavy Armor tank Exotics…and it is the one dungeon absolutely NO ONE wants to or ever run…why?
- Because the 1 and only land path in the dungeon has been bugged for over 2 weeks where the final boss can not be finished because there is no floor. Which means that you can not get more than 10 tokens per 30min run and you have to find a new party with a new leader every run because you don’t clear the initial run.
- The other 2 paths are Water based paths where the bosses are underwater and absolutely NO ONE wants to do those….people hate the underwater combat and making them do it versus seriously hard hitting bosses is not something anyone considers fun…so at the current moment HOTW on a FULL server (Darkhaven) at prime hours….looks like the attachment linked below…
It is miserable…
I can only obtain 2 pieces of Tank exotic gear at 80.
I can’t get anything from WvW because I am not powerful enough to get tokens.
I can’t run HotW because no one wants to be forced to do underwater paths and ANET refuses to hotfix the floor bug on the only land path.
And Arah vendor has only 2 of the Exotic pieces with the +P +T +V itemization on it.
What am I supposed to do to resolve this issue?
Darkhaven-US Prime Hours HotW Screenshot (Absolutely 0 people here even looking for a group…ever…)
I made a point of this a little bit in another thread but I just went and did one that proves that point and figured I’d just ask here…
Pre-Release of GW2 we were told that there would be no “standard” Raid content and that the games “Dynamic” world events would be its replacement for raiding…a homage to the days of old EQ/Vanilla WoW world dragons.
Which sounded cool…then in one of the first gameplay videos ever was the dynamic Shatterer event released by GW2 showing off their “Dragon” boss. And it looked awesome (still does).
So to me these “Raid” replacements would be my “reward queens” and I’d be getting some kitten loot from doing this “awesome” event content.
So why is it every level 80 World Dragon that 99% of the time I get the following attachment as the loot….
vendor garbage, not even rares…whats worse never an exotic even with Magic Find…its always trash…
That’s not “raiding” and it certainly is not rewarding. The only rewarding part is the art that went into the dragons but that “awe” affect wears right off when you get this crap for loot after….that whole “This dude is kitten I can’t wait to see what he drops….!” …. “wth is this crap?”
Like one of my favorite RL Icons said once “You can go out and spend $100 on dinner and have the best meal of your life, but if the dessert you order comes out a disaster then the entire meal will forever be awful in your mind.” – Gordon Ramsay (excluding his use of explicit words)
Awesome pre-event, awesome art style, awesome dynamic actions of landings / flying, crap crap and more crap for loot.
These dragons should be dropping nothing but level specific Rare’s and Exotics…never blues and greens.
(edited by Crucifer.2831)
This is the most antisocial MMO"RPG" i have ever played (Even SWTOR with it’s massive 10 people online was more social).
No game was or will ever be as Anti-social as SWTOR….
MASSIVE Zones made up of MASSIVE zones that were Instanced inside of other Instances so that only 25 people in a 30 mile radius are in the same spot.
Worst miserable mistake for a game of all time.
1 – Add Lockout System (5 runs a day per Dungeon)
2 – Have Chests drop the gear not a stupid token system like old school MMOs
3 – Have World Dragons actually drop fing Exotics not godkittenblues if you are going to tell the community that’s your raiding content. (Killed the fing Ruins of Orr 80 Dragon and got 4 blues….saddening)
4 – Make a real Raid.
5 – Improve the threat / targeting systems they are rubbish.
6 – Make fights actually make sense / strategic not tank-n-spank or suicide run kite fests.
I could go on but I’m only a logical person.
That is exactly what he did…he even said that was what he did…he just did those two things did not test them and figured it was a perfect update.
And his “intended way” is for you to kill the mobs before another set spawns.
Yet he refuses to comment on himself being able to do that in level 75 greens/blues.
Actually dungeon armor is free. You don’t pay any gold for it. Just valuless tokens
Haha “You don’t pay for it.” You ran any dungeons lately…you’ll lose 3-5 silver a run A RUN! Let alone the 90 runs you need for all your gear pieces…so in all you are going to lose 4-5 gold.
You know what I would love? If all these people that came onto the forums of new games with claims of “no testing” could actually produce a single title released on the PC in the last 15 years that was released bug-free and/or actually played a game in early beta when there was actually was a lack of testing.
World of Warcraft does 6 months at minimum of PvE content testing before it ever comes close to release…does that mean its bug free? NO….however Blizzard also sits there WATCHING in GM mode over content being played on launch and HOTFIXES bugs instantly upon seeing them when they occur immediately after content is released.
Example: Sinestra in Cataclysm when it first opened up and Paragon was doing it Paragon hit Sinestra for 300 something million damage and Blizzard developers were watching it happen within 1 hour it was hotfixed.
this recent “Dungeon Patch” went through ABSOLUTELY 0 PTR testing or testing of any kind. No bugs/exploits have been hotfixed and no general concern for their playerbase or apologies have been issued.
This is a very very bad sign for future releases. And really is the core issue people have with the whole “Testing” stuff.
“this” being subject to question, since “this” is never really described.
This comment might get me banned and if it does i have some serious loss of respect for ANET but this really needs to be said:
“This” guy really needs to be let go. Since “this” guy does not even know the issues with his own content design. And if he is sitting here not aware of the issues of CoF and is “this” delusional to all the reports that have been said today since the patch. And how sorely bad he ruined CoF and refuses to show proof that even he can run his own dungeon with the content he’s designed without dying repeatedly even when doing mechanics “his intended way” means that he is far out of his depth in “content design” and really should be replaced by someone who understands gaming balance.
If he becomes in control of any major content in the future I fear for the expansions that could cost ANET GW2 players.
we’re very aware that our reward system is not up to par for dungeons. It is something we are actively working on right now, to try and find a solution for. I’m not going to talk about what our plans are because I don’t want us to be trapped in promises, but I will say this: We know, and are actively working on updating the system.
The system was perfectly fine pre-patch 9/17/2012….you guys screwed up big time with the current patch and you’ve been told non-stop since the change to revert it back to the way it was as NO ONE was complaining about it.
It’s more the “cool piece of gear…wth is that” thing that is the point.
confirmed the confirm
ADDED more suggestions (They are all in Bold) in the OP.
and here ya go.
You did not clear the event the intended way:
The intended way is to kill all the mobs before the next wave spawns – Per Robert Hrouda.
Furthermore you are in pre-patch full CoF gear. You need to go buy some level 70-74 greens/blues and re-attempt the fight as if you were a new person running explorable.
Then post a video of you getting your faces smashed in by the ridiculous damage.
Because that is the issue right now.
Would you prefer ArenaNet put a lock out timer on their dungeons like every other MMO in existence? Your whining is the most pathetic thing I have seen all week.
Yes, yes I would.
Lockout timers were a fantastic implementation when they were originally introduced. From a dynamic standpoint of controlling the player-base and economy to a business strategy for keeping players playing your game longer.
They might of got a little out of hand with the amount of dungeons that got implemented in WoW. But the core reasoning for using lockouts is to control everything in the end game.
And to keep the players around playing the game.
So what the kitten are you complaining about? Glancing through all the rage in your posts you seem upset that ArenaNet have placed a diminishing return on running the same dungeon over and over. Yet you support a one dungeon run lockout (as would I to be honest). You really need some help. Tell me again in one sentence what you are raging about. One sentence, not a friggin wall of rage.
DR is not the same thing as a Lockout.
A Lockout says “You can run this 5 times a day”
So you do your 5 runs of CoF, then you go do 5 runs of CoE, then you go do 5 runs of Arah.
You are now getting players to play all your different content. As well, the 30 hour grind to get Flame Legion gear or any gear for that matter is extended to 18 days of play time that you are maintaining a customer for.
On top of that you hook the customer which then has them saying “yes I got my new piece man I just need one more…4 more days to go.” vs “Sweet one more piece that’s only 2 hours to go.”
muthax.4720An IT Technician is likely to be an helpdesk guy, someone who changes keyboards and mice….
A serious IT person would define himself IT Analist or sysadmin or anything that doesn’t sound like a … keyboard and mice replacer
Helpdesk would be considered Technical Support.
A SysAdmin or Analyst as you are implying describes a defined field of technical expertise.
I am an IT Technician which means I can come in and work on all 4 fields of interest in a company. Infrastructure, hardware, systems, and standard technical support.
But I appreciate you trying to describe the differences.
Other option is Hammer/Sword n Shield with Toughness/Vitality build
And just trade with the thief you will not die but you won’t kill him either….

Thank you I miss this video.
Shows exactly what type of person the OP is.
No that video shows what happens when you only listen to casuals.
The OP is an IT Technician who knows and understands the operational procedures for proper maintenance and change. First there’s creation of a resolution, then there is documentation of the resolution, a presentation / offer to apply the resolution, acceptance and then hours of testing of resolution for bugs / kinks / issues, then many sleepless hours of live implementation where you monitor and maintain any and all issues.
In the documentation process the last part of any documentation in the field is a revert strategy if a code 1 issue arises that compromises the service.
Pretty much every single step of proper procedure was voided by ArenaNet with this past patch.
Then the response to the service speaking back about it being majorly screwed up is “Deal with it.” instead of having a revert strategy.
That is not professional, it is not proper business practice. And it is something that will hurt them in the immediate future.
LOL I bet there are people out there who said this about SWTOR in its first month too…and look at those same people now….counting down the last hours of that games existence.
If one this is true in todays market is you do not peave off MMO customers anymore, too many choices, and WoW always a back drop to return too.
MMO customers are fickle. We don’t like mistakes, and we surely don’t like things that are detrimental to our experiences when we do not have those same issues back in the comfort of Azeroth.
If you want to fight for market share in this market the first thing you need to fight for is your players…patches / changes like the one last night was not in the favor of the players. It was a ridiculous attempt to make the game harder, and in turn they went way overboard without consulting the players on a PTR environment.
In the end there is countless bad business practices for this industry that were voided last night…and instead of an apology and rollback and a re-thinking of how to move forward with content changes like last night they told us “Deal with it.”
That is not how things should be handled and Blizzard would never tell their customers “Deal with it.” when a change clearly is the wrong change.
Welcome to a real mmorpg. This is arenanet’s game.Your in it. This is their world and you get to enjoy it. This game is already a success, even if it shut down for good tomorrow, they have already made their money back. Like i said you don’t get it.
The difference is that Blizzard and others listen to all the complaining from self-entitled little squirts. Same as Riot.Nerf this, nerf that, oh god OP, when it all really isn’t but Riot listens to who gives them the most money.
ArenaNet on the other hand, just basically said that you don’t get to tell them how they make their game.Suggestions are fine but when they make their minds you don’t get much right to say otherwise. Customer or not.
Besides once again, it is to stop grinders/speed runners. All of it is. now you have to balance risk and reward. Bout dam time a developer said hell no to self entitled gamers.
Can you provide me the Q3 report showing profitable margins on GW2 please? I mean I am sure they already have a Quarterly report on the second week of release stating they are not in the black.
Can I get the report from you, showing not only the net gains but also the full monthly up-time costs that they are covering monthly via gem store purchases?
Oh wait that’s right you have no idea what you are remotely talking about.
OP has a point. the game has not been tested thoroughly at all (dungeons and end-game content make this obvious) and now they release patches which haven’t been tested at all either. this is also obvious because of the sheer amount of patches they have released within a short amount of time. they are making things worse rather than better at the moment.
Shh you don’t want to upset the 5 GW1 fanboys defending the bad practices ArenaNet is making for development, they don’t understand how proper procedures should work. They are still living in the instanced world and not a Live environment that was GW1.
Your loss in the end…bit of an over reaction imo. It’s people like this that just make me cringe. lol The money lost on players leaving because they don’t agree with the change is probably outweighed by the majority of players who end up staying and increase game time. Small loss, bigger gain. Bye
Again I’d consult SWTOR, TERA, RIFT and all the other companies who didn’t listen to their customers on how well that plan works out.
LOL I bet there are people out there who said this about SWTOR in its first month too…and look at those same people now….counting down the last hours of that games existence.

Maybe Im blind but i have no idea where the patch notes are. Any post a link?
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/info/news/Update-Notes-September-17th-2012/first#post149651
None of the Dungeon modifications were put in the patch notes; nor were any of them tested.
Or you could just roll Greatsword and 1 shot them like every warrior does?
Honestly, people like you don’t spend a dime on a game if they don’t have to pay a monthly fee, so well good riddance. And yes, I know it’s a generalization and an hyperbole, I was just trying to make you feel more at home
I’ve given RIOT Games and League of Legends probably close to $750…
If you do a game right and you stand by your player base as good as RIOT does then yes I pay up. If you pull stunts like yesterday and then tell your players to shove off. That I won’t tolerate.
I was a customer the box is not the only way to have given them money.
Ya all they did was get rid of your ability to abuse a dungeon for grinding, money, and so on.
God forbid they prevent abused speed runs.
Dam self-entitled player. How dare they stop something he was abusing the heck out of right? The nerve.
They more said that PvE is not viable means of anything, they ruined dungeons, there is not reward for risk, they want you to WvW but they won’t detract anyone who already got ahead of the curve in gear so you get smashed by fully exotic’d players in WvW, and then you are left with mediocre Battlegrounds.
No I have no interest in playing a 1 dimensional MMO because the developers think that me spending 30+ hours in their game doing PvE content that I enjoy is the wrong thing I should be doing.
So I will do them one better I’ll spend 0 hours in their game.
Lol as i explained your not doing them one better. You made a purchase already, you already lost this.
Besides regardless you are gonna still get that gear with time.Honestly your just angry you can’t get it faster.
Sounds like you may be from WoW.
I paid 0 dollars for GW2 I was given it as a gift from my job. I was enjoying it all the way up until 3am last night. I knew what was coming last night and had thought ANET would of been smart enough to rollback the changes by mid day. Instead all we got in the dungeon forums was 2 smug comments and then nothing more.
Extremely poor professionalism from this team.
I don’t worry about Anet at all.The game is B2P so lack of subscription is one very good model.Even if people leave.Anet don’t loses anything. And when expansion is coming many people buy it.
So what if you leave?Because all micro-transaction business models rely heavily on customers. No customers? No money, no players = no customers. No locked in feel to the game = no lapse in judgement on leaving. Upset your players, big competitor caters to them and makes them happy, now you have no players, no customers, no cash flow.
Then you end up like that other company is that launched their Triple A MMO this past year….screwed.
No offense mate the microtransactions there were added were kinda just a plus for them.Since this game released for full price(60 dollars) they already have more than made their profit. It is already a success, just like Guild Wars. And each expansion will be huge, just like Guild Wars.
Since you already paid 60 dollars, you don’t mean jack.Sure it sucks to lose players but that happens.
You do know how MMO businesses work correct? 1 time box fees cover development cost (possibly) but the Server up-time fees (roughly 15-20K a year per server) are on-going fees. Which means they re-occurring revenue. Their only means of that is the gem shop.
It’s how all micro-transaction business models work.

Heres a question..
If the token reward system takes too long and the trading post cost too much, what is stopping you from crafting your own? Its a really really good crafting system. The rewards are as good as any gear in the whole MMO which isnt done in many MMO’s. It wont cost you a dime if you play the game and plan ahead.
No other true MMO in history has given you so many ways to get the best gear in the game and be on equal footing with the best of the best players.
Because a ton of people don’t find the concept of spending all their “Many” (sarcasm) hours of free time a day running around doing chores of collecting materials over and over again just to make gear that has no skill or challenge or reward feel outside of “Well I say there an farmed 5000 Iron Ore…that was challenging now I got me 1 exotic piece…time to do it all again.”
This is what I meant by you are not that intelligent. If you had any sense in you, you wouldn’t ask such a stupid question.
I am officially done with GW2 until the patch of 9-18-2012 gets reverted.
You have shafted both your core audiences the hardcore and the casual player with this patch. In response all we’ve gotten all day from over 100,000 views and over a thousand posts is two smug comments from Jon Peters and Robert Hrouda in the dungeon forums basically telling the player base “You will do what we want you to do and you’ll deal with it.”
Well I am here to tell you no, no I won’t just do what you want me to do. I’m sorry I am not tied into a subscription model in this game. If you want to try to tell me how to play my own toon the way you want me to play my toon for a game that I am not locked into you can watch me as well as I am sure many others just uninstall the game.
Your largest competitor launches its new title in 7 days and you all are clearly showing you have no care or concern for your existing player base. This is really unacceptable behavior from a consumer point of view and just shows a real lack of passion or care for the people playing your game.
Another company just had this issue this past year…pretty big company that just lost it’s 2 Co-Founders and 2/3rd’s of it’s staff….because instead of making a quality product for the players they made a product designed only for the developers. If you want to play the game yourselves in-house the way you want it to be played that’s more than fine. However, when you realize that there is no money in that ridiculous business model understand very few games come back from bad reputations from the get go.
2 weeks into your game you already managed to make everyone unhappy in a ill-willed patch update that was not tested, did not go through proper PTR environments and was not communicated at all not even in the patch notes which were released 2 hours AFTER the patch to the community of players.
If this is your business model on-going from today, I wouldn’t expect “business” to be booming a year from now.
Revert the patch and I will happily become not only a player but a consumer again. But as long as this patch stands this will sit next to all the other failed MMOs of this past year on my shelf of boxes that look like tombstones.

Suddens is a much more cohesive build. Gives more output to his team.
Though Sudden I would switch two things around:
For your main heal take Mending (Cures 2 conditions) Then add another banner in place of Signet of Stamina (Like Banner of Strength or Banner of Discipline) as these banners will give your party more output as well as help your Traits give you more regeneration (Stacking regen +169 hp per second per banner)
Better survivability + Team oriented buffs. I am more of a fan of Precision banners than Power banners because +90 power really isn’t a lot compared to +90 precision if you can get someone closer to 50% crit for the duration ontop of the Fury increase of your elite Banner then they will be hitting for more criticals which in turn is more damage than power.
Just a perspective.
For the record…
Exotic armor in general is around 3.5g a piece
So that’s around 14 runs of CoF @ 26s per run, but you can easily get 3.5g @ 10-12 runs including drops and Gate of Flame event.
For a full set, you’d need ~60 runsLowest piece of exotic armor (Flame Legion) is 180 tokens which is 9 runs of CoF @ 20 tokens per run. You need 1380 for a full set which is ~70 runs.
Now take into account Armor repair. Let’s say ~3-4 runs you need to repair @ ~10.5s per repair.
If you are going for Exotic Gear:( (350s x 6 ) + (10.5s x 15)) / 26 = ~90 runs @ 26s
If you are going for Flame Legion Exotic in tokens: 1380/20 = ~70 runs @ 20 token
Flame Legion set effectively costs : 70 × 26s = 18.2g
In terns of gold, Flame Legion average per piece would then be : 18.2g/6 = 3g
However, including repair costs, Flame Legion set would then be : 18.2g + (10.5s x 18) = 20g 9s
Then the average Flame Legion piece would be : 20g 9s / 6 = 3.35gFlame Legion exotic set : 20g 9s
General exotic set : 21g
thank you for posting what i already posted on the first page -.-
You are forgetting, Earrings, Accessories, Backpacks, Amulets, Jewels, Sigils, Runes…all cost money.
Thank you Anet for not giving in to the screams and sticking with your design. My static group and I just completed all 4 paths in Arah today and we were totally blown away with some of the events and boss fights. The scenery and atmosphere is spot on and all 5 of us really enjoyed our 5 hours today.
In those 4 wings we ended up with 100 tokens or so but that wasn’t why we were running them. We wanted the challenge. We wanted the atmosphere. We wanted to have our efforts rewarded and we got exactly that.
It wasn’t the loot that rewarded us. It was the satisfaction of knowing we 5 are doing things that most here on this board says is impossible. We were rewarded with the laughs we shared when someone goofed and got capped or how one of our members just cant figure out that running ahead just isn’t bright.
All in all, it was a fantastic day of dungeon crawling and we want to thank you for it. We haven’t had this much challenge in a game since Eq1.
Thanks.
Let me re-write this:
“Thank you ArenaNet for not giving into the QQing today, because me and my 4 buddies were in the first group of 80s who didn’t get shafted in the “Kitten” and got to free farm out CoF gear before you ruined the game for everyone else. Now we have the gear to viably run Arah, so keep up the good work only catering to me and my 4 friends and make sure you don’t screw us too because were the last happy people you have left."
Signed,
The guy who has no idea what the problem of today is.
Umm CoF gear wont make you 1 bit stronger than the exotics you can buy from the trading post. The ONLY reason to get the gear is for the looks . Everyone who logs in can have the exact same stats I have by going to the trading post.
So why are you doing something you really really hate that doesnt measure up to your standards when you can get the same stats by crafting or buying them?
The game isnt broken. Your mentality is.
You really aren’t intelligent… one its horsekitten for you to sit here and tell me you and your buddies aren’t all in CoF gear.
Secondly to buy the Exotics for 3-5 gold if not more a piece on the TP you need to farm money. And now the repair cost > Money earned from dungeon grinding which means either way you slice this pie my friend you are thanking arenanet for screwing everyone else but you and your 4 buddies.
Roll another toon and join the crowd who got shafted lets see if you sing the same tune when you get to 80 on that character.
Bud you just don’t have a clue. I have over 200g already and I didn’t get it by running dungeons. I logged on day 1 and leveled weaponsmith as I leveled my character. I sell at least 1 weapon a day and depending on materials I have sold 4 a day. I don’t corner the market, i don’t undercut anyone. All I do is craft a weapon, sell it and boom gtg.
Oh and I am a jeweler as well.I have 2 pieces of CoF gear and have done all 3 paths in CoF. We didnt sit there and farm magg because we KNEW it would be changed.
I bet you right now I can level an alt and staert it out fresh with 0 help from my main and be ahead of you in days. Why? because i dont whine and think things cant be done. I just go do them.
2 types of people in this world and ONLY 2 types.
Those that get stuff done.
Those that dont.
Twitch.tv + Xsplit….challenge accepted mate…put your money where your mouth is.
No sending gold from your pre-patch toon, no taking mats from your pre-patch toon.
Straight up fresh 1-80 and you tell me how easy / time consuming not having CM to farm / CoF to grind your gear works out for you.
Do all of it while streaming so the video footage is there. I’ll be an avid watcher.
But a lot of me doubts you will put up…so instead why not shut the praising of this ridiculous patch when you know you are one of the vocal minorities who didn’t get screwed.

Im so baffled as to how this much hate for this patch has not caused ANET to get behind their playerbase and rollback the patch.
This shows that they really could careless if any of us are going to continue to play their game after next week.
