I would like to start a discussion with what is wrong and frustrating with this event.
As I see it, main problems:
1- The timing out problem.. I had experiences of timing out when the creature was almost dead, i mean very close to zero. This is totally unacceptable, It’s almost dead and all of a sudden it finds the energy to fly away, making this event one of the most ridiculous of all of them.
2- It is a powerful predator and it should be. Therefore peoples will die and need to wp and come back. This should be taken in consideration, by the design team. It is almost impossible to rez someone in the context of this fight, therefore, timing out is a huge problem and needs to be addressed.
3- It spawns in difficult to reach places and in many location, so it is hard to access on time in many case, in many instances, by the time you get there or assemble a team to face it, it flew out or timed out, this also is not acceptable in my view considering how difficult a fight it is.
Recommendations:
Time-out should be considered only for cases where there is no player activity.
I’m sure I missed a few and welcome all contributions on this topic.

Worst fractal?

Coming back to fractals, I had a chance to witness the changes.

In my opinion the worst fractal, by far is the Swampland especially the part on Bloomhunger. It is quite an accomplishment, to take a bad but straightforward fractal and turn it into the mess that this design has accomplished.

Bravo, this is such a bad and inept fractal, completely illogical, with all these invulnerable creatures roaming around. To me anything that need invulnerable creatures to function, is poorly designed and game mechanics are not used, This is work done by the lazy and incompetent.

In short, it is so bad that I don’t want to do it again at any level.
I bet nobody else can find any Fractal worst then that.

In my opinion, putting 2 of the tokens at the end of the JP is totally unfair to those that are not either mesmer or experts at Jumping Puzzles. I did most of game JPs and some are still very difficult for non-mesmers.
What kind of game choices are these? Does that mean that to make any progress in this game, one needs a specific profession? Does that mean that you have to have an Asura mesmer to succeed at some part of the game? That certainly looks very unbalanced in the most crude of the ways.
Something must be done, here, so that a reasonably competent player can complete the token collector without being an expert at insane jumping puzzles. This is certainly grinding, in its worst kind of form, trying to get the whole collection doing that JP at the end of it.
Jumping puzzles, should be for the experts at acrobatics, that have the time and inclination to waste hours for a few baubles. Other game aspects, should not be dependent on completing jumping puzzles, this is totally unfair to those that don’t have the kind of dexterity needed to do them.

I don’t think that we should make cities important by creating difficulties to a service, crafting, that was easy access before. They removed it from WvW, fine. Now we need the same basic service from somewhere else. Why we need to force everyone to cities, when they don’t want to go there that often? Why, the tyrany. The services should be easy to access and with the ability to get to the same spot, we were. Personally, I could not care less, where they put them. Guilds seems convenient for commubity purposes, if not, somewhere else.
Cities are not the best place for crafting either. It adds to the load and slows peoples from getting in those cities. The more one concentrates the crafters, the slower those places will be with even more inconveniences. One should think of an easy flow first, fluidity, easy in, easy out. i have nothing against the airpass if it returns me back to where, I come from, which it does not do, at the moment.

Server merging has created far more problems then it has solved but rotating the merges is plain insanity. It is destroying any sense of community. The only thing it seems to encourage, is Big Zergs, roaming maps and preventing any normal kind of play. WvW has become predictable and very boring. i play here from day one and getting more and more fed up.

The whole queue thing that so many promoted has just proven to be a hoax.
There was absolutely zero improvement on waiting to get in WvW, I’ve been there every evening and could not measure any difference. Yet, one cannot stop some zealous people to hang to their fallacies and their myths. that’s the unfortunate side effect when common sense does not prevail.

Couldn’t have anything to do with Anet not wanting players to clean out their bags craft and a bit and let their participation rate dissipate before they leave WvW, could it?

Careful Roudabout, you are opening a nasty can of worms, There are some that would spew venom on you, just for that.
Never the less, what you say makes sense, so it will be safely ignored by most, they all seem to think that the proper behavior is to map to Lion Arch, to do all of that.

I was amazed at how some of the folks commenting here can’t even read a post and switch to their normal trolling behavior.
I hate to break this news, to them, I’m strictly talking about the big red herring, The queues are just the same, no matter which fallacies some spews.
Anet is not looking at a solution, this is knee jerking.

Add crafting stations to G hall

It is definitely a sensible solution, since it is easy to join a Guild for everyone in GW2.

A suggestion, I saw, that I thought had a lot of merit, was about allowing players to choose normal crafting from the now underused Scribe crafting area in the Guild Halls, therefore not cluttering Guild Halls.
This also has the merit of being simple to implement, while not cluttering the space at all.
It provides all the features of the old deleted service.

Survey on the WvW map queue

I have been monitoring this for a few days, now.
EST in the evening: I see a queue for EB, now every evening, 25 at the moment, it has been steady all evening and one of the other maps had a queue as well.
So far, I could not measure any impact on traffic by removing the crafting stations.
The queues are just as bad.
We need a solution, that really address the problem, not a bandaid.
Anyone has the same observations? Let me know.

We hear the same boring arguments, over and over trying to justify, why something is this way and why a circle should be square. The last 2 always repeating the same thing that has been answered by many and explained in great details by many and it’s always the same argument about circumventing something, implying dishonesty or whatever, parking mules, general put downs. But such argument have never been about the core discussion in this thread, just revealing that simple concepts for some can’t be grasped by some,
1) Nobody here is discussing crafting in WvW.
2} Comments are about what was and what could be (certainly outside of WvW)
3) A point can be made about removing everything else in WvW, that is unrelated to WvW, there are threads for that and here is not the place to discuss this, since we talk about a service to be provided in the future, for those that need it,
4) This is the goal of this thread, looking for the future and future solutions.

WvW players can keep their WvW the way it is and adjust to the way it is evolving. As far as I’m concerned, i play where i want, when I want, I get camps, towers and keeps when I please. My time here is directly proportioned to my earning and how satisfying, I find my experience, just like anybody else. Simple? I’m certain, that this is a simple thing to grasp.

There is truth in that, WvW has turned, strictly in a competition a sort of group PvP.
Anybody else, that does not think, with this group-think, is very much unwelcome.
In my view, there is no way to change this driving force and we have to accept that WvW has taken an elitist turn and is headed in that direction. Time will say if that survives with dwindling population and multi-server grouping.
We all know about the route, that will be taken, first 2 servers, link and when that fails, 3 servers link and when that fails 4 servers link and so on and no end in sight about the queues that this creates. Eventually, even the die-hard crowd starts dropping out and that becomes the slow death.

This thread is about new places for crafters and apply only to crafters, wherever they play. It is posted here, because the problem, for them, originates here.

Dear WvW pro players, we got all the advertisement, we need as we do everything to show new players, that we welcome only the Pros, here, meaning those that play 8hrs a day in WvW, 7 days a week.
The rest are unwelcomed in any shape or form.
WvW is a select club, and only for champions, Platinum and above. Huge Zergs are also very welcome, the rest can go back packing for home.

Yes sir, WvW/PVE are a worthless breed, Sir. We should eliminate all of them, Sir.
Everything should be By The Book, Front to Back, WvW mayhem, Sir.
WvW players have no need for crafting, Sir. Let’s eliminate the nodes, while we are at it, Sir. Bankers are a distraction from WvW playing, Sir. Let’s eliminate that as well, Sir. Many NPCs have no function in WvW, let’s eliminate them as well, Sir. Pure WvW players have no need to trade on Black Lion, Sir. Let’s eliminate that, Sir. Guid banks are a nuisance and interfere with pure play, Sir, let’s eliminate that as well.
Citadel is too big, having all this empty space, let’s get rid of that, Sir and replace it with what WvW players really want, 3 more towers and 2 extra camps. Please, Sir, communicate this request to the Upper Brass, since they appear to be in a mood for changes, Sir.

Sir, i reported for active duty, last night. Yes, sir, last night was just the same a before, EB that has no history of crafting stations, sir, and it had a long queue, sir.
Yes, sir, your solution is working, sir, but I still can’t report for duty on EB, sir.
The upper brass, sir, said to this worthless private, sir, that the problem would be fixed, sir, with removing the stations.
As it goes, sir, I can’t do my job, sir. The solution seems to not work in my case, sir.
This private is too dumb to guess, what a working solution, would be sir. This private is forced to wait outside EB, and cannot help his team, sir. Requesting transfer to EB, sir.

Good suggestion, we might as well remove the bunch of NPCs that sells useless stuff in the citadel, while we are in the citadel, who needs an exotic Bandit weapon, anyway? and who is in this world would ever purchase, for any reason rare or below? Totally useless and it takes space in the NPC inventory. You can do all your purchases in Lion Arch. I never buy traps, out it goes, all i need is the guy to fix my armor? right? The rest can go and we might as well get rid of the banker in Garrison, what’s the use of having him there, even more so with all these NPCs in the keeps, who needs them, most of them are overcomed by zergs anyway, so they are pretty useless. one thing that should go away is all those nodes places, what’s the use of that since no one craft, here. Let peoples that needs ore and plants collect them on a real PVE map and increase the count and population there.
That certainly is in the logic of removing all the crafting stations.
Maybe with those changes, we’ll see a real improvement in queues lines. So far I noticed no improvement and I still see queues going to EB and they never had crafting stations. How interesting?
My observations, in the last few months have proven that there continues to have queues in EB, that has no crafting stations, therefore the problem is somewhere else.
One can easily assume that all the nodes in camps, keeps and elsewhere negatively affect the traffic. I’ve seen many interfering with the normal flow of the game by jumping on those nodes and delaying responses, therefore their impacts are far more negative then a few strays on a workstation out of EB. I vote for getting rid of that since it has no use in WvW and crafting is not a desired function. As well there are far too many NPC’s offering rarely used services that could be moved to Lion Arch as well. No penalties, here for full-time WvW players, since they can easily come back from Lion Arch, once the maps are totally cleaned.

The problem originated in WvW, therefore, it should stay here until something is done about it somewhere else. No use to port it in a place that is irrelevant.
We are talking about a defunct WvW feature that was removed, it was used by WvW players, many of which were directly affected by it.
For those that have no interest in the subject, there are plenty of other threads to write in or consult.
Let this be the place for peoples concerned with that decision and how they will or could play WvW with their constraints in the future.

Who also have a discussion on the WvW change.
Mine is about the effect on WvW players that also play PVE, and craft. It is not intended for dedicated WvW players that do not craft and don’t see the needs of the others because they never experienced it.
I’m looking for suggestions and i got many good ones, collected here for possible improvements that would be more inclusive for different play styles or needs.
All I need is for a dev to read this, go through the motions and provide a similar service. after that we can discuss moving this thread somewhere else.

WvW Needs Better Advertisement

I cringe at the idea of attracting new players in WvW, the way some suggests, in my experience, a more natural way through discovery and a few advantages is far better.
Let’s say, you have this mythical ad that is so great, that it attracts someone in, they have to figure out what is going out, what they should do next, what one needs for equipment, build etc, for this casual wannabe in the discovery of WvW. Eventually they get wiped out a few times, without figuring out why and they are on their way to avoid the place, so all this bogus advertisements end up in a big fat bubble and no results.
What one needs is a welcoming community that is helpful. The best commanders I had on raids were willing to explain some strategy and what was your role or what they need out of you also reminding peoples to get sups and the like. That however is very rare and a large number are the silent type or the bully type or the Mr KnowItAll and everyone else are Noobs.
Very few peoples are infused with the requirements here, one has to learn, the hard way in most cases.
The real limitation is that many don’t have the patience to stay, if the obstacles are too high or the rewards, paltry in comparison with other places.
Some have a passion for WvW, nothing wrong with that if also they understand where the others come from. You want population? Start treating the current players better and don’t turn it in an elite club.

I would be 100% behind DBL being assigned to the map that overpopulates all the maps with those huge Zergs. There should be a price to pay when a ratio becomes more than 2 to 1 and giving them DBL would be a price to pay, try to defend that now, BiZerg Inc.

I would be willing to pay for a home portal, if it had craft stations implemented in it.
That is a good solution as well and i agree with the PvP lobby, it would accomplish the same thing.
Since WvW players don’t care about loosing the transient players, loosing irregular players, and most don’t care about inexperienced peoples discovering WvW, it certainly is not an issue.

My point is this and is a simple one to understand:
After we have done a large meta, or every day ascended crafting for things like Refinement, Daily Ectoplasm Refinements for ascended gear, we need a place to go, that does not change the location where we are. Going to Lion Arch, for instance, changes that location and forces us to make our way back to sometimes difficult spot to reach.
We had this mechanism in WvW, plus the added feature of discovering WvW and contributing to those maps. This is gone now and has not been replaced by something equivalent.
This is the reason for this thread. Many have seen the same need and obviously, others are oblivious to basic facts.
Again: We need something that returns us to the same spot, not the same map. WP will not do this. Mapping to Lion Arch will not do this. Guild Halls are a possible destination and so is Hall of Monuments, if I forgot one please illuminate me, so far I know of no other destinations that would make this possible.
There is also the fact that full crafting involve 3 different characters, for the 6 specialties, a fact that is grossly under appreciated in these discussions.

It’s the meanness of the few that drive peoples away. I love the comment of Depraved, very humorous and very much to the point. The drill sergeants of WvW, beware, because you are turning more peoples off, then arousing their interest.
Sure thing that something is dying, when the elitists , the extremists and the exclusionists are running the show, hmmmm… I should add the drill sergeants too, thanks for that, Depraved.

Agreed, CrimeMaker, that WvW needs more diverse players and new blood, but the way it is now with the hard core players is that they don’t want that.
They want to play in a select clique of dedicated peoples to only WvW. This is the reason crafting was removed, it was suppose to improve waiting lists substantially,
Last night, the waiting list wast just the same as before, proving that the crafting stations has nothing to do with it and is just a myth, that someone is pushing for other purposes. The fix was like putting a band-aid on someone that just lost an arm.
In my case, i discovered WvW, because I came here for the WP otherwise, I’m sure, I would never have bothered. I was eager to get to level 80, back then, so I could play better with proper equipment.
Now , I’m coming less and less and not motivated one bit with what is going on. I know, that I’m not the only one that thinks like that. Anet makes it so unpleasant, to spend time here, that we drop out one by one.

Also, if you notice the vast majority of the complaints, none of them are about WvW. It’s all about ones personal inconvenience by no longer being able to circumvent way pointing and keeping ones position in PvE.

This is a useless comment, just like trolls would do. Please refrain to comment, if you have nothing useful to share.
As well, I feel insulted by you implying that I’m using exploits when it is a service that everyone had since day one and thousands have used daily. That is uncalled for.
Some of us are having a discussion exploring ideas for other solutions to a real problem.

I used to craft foods for the players on my server (banquet). I can’t justify the time and nuisance to go to Lion Arch to do this anymore.
That is certainly one drawback of loosing the stations last night i had to go to refine my daily in Lion Arch and come back so, i had no time to answer to a distress call on my server.
I’m sure this is a great improvement for the WvW community.
See…, my time online is limited there is a real life as well so i try to do my priorities and WvW just went down the list.

Are you serious? Craft the food in advance and put them in your bank. Your trying to make a problem out of nothing for the sake of making an argument against this change. If you care about helping your server, try actually going into wvw and doing something instead of standing at a craft table doing something that could have been done well in advance.

I am serious… after what I read here, on this thread, with all of the extremist comments, i saw here, it made me realize the kind of individuals are on WvW. Why should I do any extras for this kind of crowd? Now , I come in, do some easy stuff that pays me, like dailies, and I’m out. I’m sure the WvW purist will take care of the rest, I still have some advantages from it in PVE, that’s enough from me. I took WvW too seriously, before. WvW is not a religion for me, it may be for some, but not for me and I play here since day one.

Making Hall of Monuments assets available

I think Halls of Monuments, must remain a special place. This is what GW1 players accomplished and what remains of it.
However, it should be used more and have new uses added to it. My suggestion is that Anet add crafting stations to the Hall. That would make it a far more important place to go to and give you back the functionality that crafting in WvW had, almost. The fact that it is an instance, would not allow meeting other players like in WvW, unfortunately, unless it became a real place in the mist.
That way, Hall of Monument, becomes very special. A symbol of past accomplishments and a reminder of what was, and utilitarian as well.
I would like this idea discussed more frequently and at higher levels in the dev team

Agreed, Orion. But mostly, I give a choice of paths to go, some may not be possible and the devs would know best, what is possible to do. The loss of the stations in WvW is very real and I suspect, will be extremely hard to make for.
It also impact a large part of the community, which is why i called it Urgent.
Even if the solution is Go Here, craft and then go to WvW coming back to where you were, still add that extra step and is a nuisance.
Anet was obviously trying to answer to a few of the WvW citizens doing only WvW and forgot about the rest that are more polyvalent and use the rest of the game. That’s really a shame, to isolate and box sections of GW2 in that way, it creates its own problems as well. The original path to the mist was well done, which is why so many came to like it and so many discovered WvW and took a liking to it, the way i see it, was a way to get peoples to discover WvW and incorporate it in your play. That was clever to do. Now we are moving to a specialization and WvW will hurt for it.

Tenrai, you have my full support on this. And Tenrai, I agree with you for all your posts on this subject, you definitely is someone that gives thought to things and peoples should heed your requests.
One has to also add to that, that a small guild may grow at some point. At this point if you are not MegaGuild, and you plan to specialize on a type of player or a close group of guildies with a common interest, Guilds in GW2, definitely, do not have the same services that they had in GW1 and that is a shame, one would expect improvements, when going forward. Guild halls were very welcomed, but the small guilds and their needs were totally ignored. That is not right and for many reasons. let’s hope we see progress, here.
Angelica, i commend you and your group on your accomplishments, that is not easy to do.

WvW maps were modified, recently, (crafting stations removed).
This impacts playing in GW2 in a serious way.
In my case, i’m crafting 2 legendaries and ascended armor on multiple characters. Everyone knows how many trips to the stations, we need for those.
So we need convenience, a place where we can get right back to where we were.
That means craft and go back to the exact same spot in a very short time.
The craft over Lion Arch, does not provides the same service as WvW were giving. Plus, in the WvW case it had the added bonus that we could help the map as well for a short while when we came in and assessed the needs at hand. Many actually included that in their play style like come to help while waiting for a world boss to appear. This convenience is lost and will certainly impact WvW negatively. I’m thinking of the scouting, here not the zergs.
Since this inconvenience was created by Anet decision to cut a well established service, available since day one, it is fair to ask Anet to provide something with the same convenience. HoT has no crafting in it, all crafting is either in busy cities or low level areas. Not much is provided in high level areas, like Level 80 areas.

So, I suggest possible locations:
1. A new cavern in Verdant Brink, set up by the Pact with all the amenities, we need for crafting, including artisans and merchant NPC. It could be built in the living world story and add a little twist to that story.
2. or maybe as a token of appreciation for the support the GW1 people community has given to GW2, create an area in the Hall of Monument.
3. or maybe it can be added to the Guild Halls, making them very useful indeed. The Guild Halls, the way they are now, have many functions that are not that useful or important to everyday play. Maybe this would increase the traffic in Guild Halls.
4. Another Location that is possible is in Silverwastes.
5. Most useful, however is a location where one WP into it and and can go back to the exact same spot afterwards. This is a very common request, by a large number of players, including myself.
I think it is reasonable to ask for this, since we had this in the Beta stage as well as from release time to today.
Hopefully, someone in the Dev team, will realize that this is a big need, for a large number of their user base.

I saw the same thing, in Gendarran Fields. I thought it was just a sunlight effect, only problem was that it was the same under the deck, while I was mining ore. This is a real queer effect, to say the least and localized, most of the time, so it can’t be a card effect.

I would like to add a request:
Some items, like some minis that were available at point, in the story, there should be a way to get them later, for collection.
I was all excited when I read that the Southsun minis were making a comeback for a while, in Black Lion, looking every day, for them, I never saw them listed in Black Lion Store, so that was very disappointing.
Give it a thought, will you? Unfinished Collections are irritating

What we have here as a discussion, is about a lost convenience for people that use GW2 for WvW and PVE. For those using only WvW, they impose their selfishness on a service that was not really affecting them, This is a myth., to be consumed by fools.
The real reason for the change is that ANet wants to make more money with their inconvenient airpass system.
For those WvW that only do WvW, you will get this, as a thank you note from many of those that play both worlds, we’ll come less often or stop coming.
What is your benefit: Guild crowds that will ravage your maps and much less peoples to defend and scout.
Scouting and fixing camp problems, killing Dolyaks, guards etc is a thankless job and is done often by people hopping in to clean the maps and restore services. This is what is being degraded here. So, full time WvW, let me tell you this: You will suffer from being so obtuse, sooner or later and I hope you enjoy your empty maps.
WvW is up for the Slow Death, as simple as that. Anybody doing PVE, knows very well that we can make far more gold and having far more interesting drops in PVE than in WvW. Anybody running any outfit needing traffic knows this basic truth: ‘you need to attract peoples for success, not make their life more miserable’. It is easy to understand that if one is in a spot, waiting for a dragon to appear for example and having some free time , that they use in WvW to clean their bags, to clean up a few camps and maybe a tower and go back to the dragon fight, as an example, they won’t bother to come anymore, this is what the short-sighted get. Same applies to commanders whispering for help, they will be much more likely to be ignored.

Why ANET remove the crafting stations ?
Cause the want to sell the new “Home Portal Stone” for 900 Diamonts what else?

Telling us, those crafters steal places for real WvW playing people is pure nonsence!
No pure crafter would take a place in a waiting loop never.
In the opposite, many of them take a look on the map and may help there for a while and thats what WvW realy need.

Please bring the crafting stations back. FAST !

I can’t agree with you more, less reasons to come to WvW and eventually we forget about contributing into such an ackward place to use. ANet, in their great wisdom, will certainly find another way to degrade it further with the likes of their useless Desert maps, who, the hell ever requested that?
I used to come in a map that felt like home with my server’s name on it and what do I have? Something shared with transient players that won’t be there in a few months, WvW is getting so boring, more will leave and reorganize their toons to avoid this lame WvW anyway.

Good change. We have been asking for it for a long time now. Thanks for finally remove the craft stations, Anet.

For those saying to put the craft stations in the HoTM, as much as bad as it is to stay there with nothing to do, a big and resounding NO. Map load often is taking longer than it should during prime time. There is no need to make it longer because people are idling at the craft stations just so they can keep their PvE location. Remember we have a 2 minutes grace for disconnect and crowding HoTM to make the come back harder isn’t the solution.

Make the Obsidian Sanctum the WvW lobby, add the craft station there. However, I wouldn’t make people immune, just for the fun of it since the map is a pvp jumping puzzle/gvg/duel map. You gotta fight for your privilege to use the stations! lol

The problem is removing the services and not providing a viable alternative, that does not impact peoples or play style. What we have is a no-brain decision. “I don’t use it, remove it for everyone, because it is certainly not useful”. No thinking about how it impacts players. There is something, that is always true, however. Make it hard and a nuisance for peoples to come to WvW and they won’t come. Next thing you know, there is another hare brain solution: “Oh well let’s group 4 servers, now because the WvW population is dwindling.” I call it the slow death of something, ill conceived where one forces everyone in inconveniences.
Peoples idling at craft stations are very few and just a myth. They never stay there for a long while. I see more idling in other parts of the map and no one does anything about that.
For WvW, the equation is simple: Make it difficult to incorporate in your play style and less will come, then everyone can cry why the maps are so deserted or no one want to stay or come. It will fix all problems when WvW is truly dead with no one on the map.

WvW is for WvW players, not crafting, period!

This might be the most ridiculous complaining I have heard.
Plan it out and go to town, the walk might do you some good!

Those that craft during WvW just take away a spot potentially from someone who actually want to participate the way they should.

What you say is this: I don’t care about the needs of others that don’t play my way.
This is very selfish on your part and offer no solutions to the problems encountered by the other players. We are looking for working solutions here and venting, criticizing us in that way just show your ignorance and lack of concern for anybody else then yourself.

I want to see a decent solution, not harebrained solution and something that works without pain. I have 2 suggestions of my own:
1) Put a set of stations in Guild halls.
2) Put a set of stations in the Hall of Monument. That would be perfect, with no liability, it is an instance. Besides that really would be a gesture of appreciation to their old customer base, the ones that made GW2 a possibility and a success.
Crafting in peace with no one making loud noises and colored farts around me would go a long way to improve my humor on the whole thing.

Another annoyance from the Arenanet team, remove all crafting as well as the easy to reach bank management station. Need to make a potion, go to Lion Arch and come back, loose your stacks and loose some progress in the mean time, that is, if the map is not full when you get back.
From my perspective the ones that made this decision, derive pleasure from annoying their player base, remove conveniences and sell a useless port to home instance… Oops, can’t get to crafting stations from there. well you can always get to our floating crafting aeronef, but, hmm, you got to pay for that.
At the very least, what they could do is to provide crafting stations for guild halls, but don’t hold your breath on that, this is very unlikely, to ever happen, because it would actually be useful.
In the mean time, they will spend a lot of time doing things that nobody care about and have zero importance for user convenience.
If you read this, Arenanet, I’m upset and I’m not the only one. Inventory management is important to me and easy access to weapons, potions and such important to me and I hate to have to hop to a lot of places to get things done and come back to a waiting list.
Thanks for a lousy job, removing what was one of the really nice features of WvW, we are all happy, with the care you show us at Arenanet. For a group that advocates no grind and easy availability of services, you really do a fine job at it (Ironic grin, here)
I’m sure many do as I do come from a map like Silverwastes to help out in WvW, with full bags and ore and such, refine them and are on their way to some WvW activity. It happens all the time. Now with your lousy mod, you make it very inconvenient to come in and help out for a while and return to same map. I really can’t understand the few tards that think that removing those stations actually improve anything.
Finally, there was no problem with queus before Anet had the idea of joining servers, that is the mod, I could do without.

“Protect krewe leader Dobbs as the krewe clears the excavation site” Meta Event does not work and is bugged. The Guild Wars Teams was made aware of this problem for a very long time and nothing has been done yet.
It is time for a new approach. It is obvious that the dev group could not find a solution to that problem and it is an unsolvable problem.
Here is my solution to this problem, a simple one, that does not change too many things.
1) Removed this event completely since it is very broken.
2) Make the vendor that appear at the end of the event permanent and let them exchange their goods for Karma
3) Easy solution and it should make everyone happy.
Why bother fixing it and spend time on it when you can just cancel the whole thing and remove a big frustration for peoples that need the stuff from the vendors.
Please… Dev Team, fix that once for all, the easy way…

I have a huge issue with the system incapable to remember your last position when you log off. (where you actually logged off)
Many time, my toon was restarting next to the entrance of a map or worst, it was put inside the decor closeby, with no way out but to WP out to some other locations (sometimes not so close).
This is a big problem… Sometimes getting to some locations is quite hard, especially the ones involving tricky jumping and to have to redo it all over again, is really unnecessary distress.
Many have to log off for a long phone call or some other mundane reason and it certainly was nice to return to the exact same spot when one relogs.
Now it is far worst, you can relog in a wall, a mountain or some other part of the decor, when you are back.
Help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I had the same happening on a mesmer toon that was at that point when they did the story updates and it got stuck tto, so far no answer from ANet. However a new character went through his story with no problem.
Therefore it is the characters that had a story in progress that were screwed by the updates and were never fixed on subsequent fixes.
Another cases of ANet not fixing their update messes.

Stuck in Living World Season 2

I tried every means, i could think of, to switch back from “Living World Season 2” to “My Story” without success.
The way it is now, attempting to quit an episode, etc will not allow me to continue my story on this character.
My Mesmer is at “7. Forming the pact”. with "Forging the Pact done. Any other section can’t be started.
Is there a way to do this, or is this character stuck there for good in Living World Season 2?
I see this, as well, right after “Living World Season 2” title:
a white box and a green star with “Continue this Story”
Can’t do the same in “My Story”
It seems strange that I would be locked in the World Season with no possibility to finish the personal story.
PS. I could do Scarlet’s War, My story, however is still blocked.

Gliding

I was disappointed with what we are allowed to experience using the new ability “Gliding”.
I wanted to test how to take advantage of it to go to hard to reach plces , looked for the updraft and could find nothing.
Basically my experience is the one of a stone: Jump, fly a bit and drop like one.
It’s pretty silly to limit one of the most interesting features in Heart of Thorn that way
It’s also very limited on mushroom bouncing, which makes last week-end a blahhh experience, really.
Very hard to justify investing any time into it.

Jump Shot Skill bug

There is a bug with that skill: A well aligned jump at a reasonable distance, in a jumping puzzle, fails because the engineer meets an invisible obstacle in the air.
Why? Does the GW2 design team, understand that not all players are Prince of Persia types? Some of the jumps I talked about should have completed with no problem but yet my engineer fell to his death, on a perfectly legal jump. This is definitely a fault in how some of those puzzles are constructed. In this case, it was The Morgan’s Leap. The level of difficulty is high enough, in this Puzzle without having some random event interfering with well made jumps. It is one of the constant frustrations with GW2. Jumps that should work easily, don’t and some that seems almost impossible works like a breeze.
To finish, I sincerely hope that the GW2 team has a serious look at jumping and some of the puzzle to allow reasonably competent players to finish them with high probability.

On necros being "broken"

The main problem with necros as I see it, is that most have lousy builds. I have one that completed the world and many times, i see Guardians, Eles, and the rest die next to my necro in group events. I have a necro with 2 knives maxed for speed and hi power damage and take veterans in 80 zones often all by myself. The build is key and how you use your traits as well. I use scepter and horn for a secondary set. Since the scepter has been fixed, it works even better. I go anywhere without any minions.
So It is possible to have a powerful Necro, and maybe it is not for everyone, either.

Definitely, Sorrow, you don’t know what you talk about. I also have a ranger, guardian, engineer, ele. My Necro and Ranger have the best survavibility.
From one that has “Been there, Done that.” with that necro, I can assure you that I know what I talk about.
