So when do topics like these become dead horses? Because this has felt like beating a carcass for months already. I’ve soloed every HP and completed each map to 100% in HoT on an engi. A condi engi. I have nothing but my base toughness and vitality going for me. Some of them are definitely hard, but they’re doable. I’ve got my elite spec unlocked on every class. Most of them entirely on my own. All it takes is time to learn mechanics, like everyone keeps saying.

Still would really like to see this happen. Any variation of it, really. An aura slot would be just as nice.

The event ends with one day left for the achievement to retrigger for anyone who’s done dailies every day since the event started? Wow Anet, kitten move. xD

I’m sure this has been mentioned and suggested before. But I haven’t seen a topic on it so far and can’t seem to find one searching. So this is being made. The recent focus on aura items has seen a shift almost exclusively to infusions. This took place with Raid infusions, with Super Adventure Box infusions, the Phospholuminescent infusion, and now the Winter’s Heart Infusion. Given the increased ability to gain ascended drops, as well as the conversion away from offensive and defensive infusion slots, I’d really like to see older exotic jewel auras converted to infusions.

I know the title says Preserved Queen Bee, but I’d also like to see this with Poly-Luminescent Jewels too. The stats within these jewels are not useful on almost any class, and they serve almost no purpose overall to any build. Very few builds utilized celestial stats actively. I’d really just like to have a reason to use these old aura jewels. I’d drop 2,000 gold this very second on a Preserved Queen Bee if it was an infusion.

As I said, I’m sure it’s been suggested before, but I wanna suggest it again if it has. These aura items are just not as widely used because the both require exotic gear and have garbage stats. It’d be nice to see them revamped so they have a use in the current game.

Nevermind. I was charged three times. Now my bank is going to be overdrawn.

I am getting this error as well, though I am not getting my gems at all. I know I have funds in my bank, so I have no idea why it’s not processing.

This is still a problem, at least for me.
I keep crashing back to character select every few minutes.

Since the recent update, the Heart of Thorns story has broken in multiple ways. NPCs ceasing their movement despite being essential, making instances unfinishable, events within instances finishing before all enemies have died, thus bugging out certain parts and making them incompletable. I’ve done the HoT story multiple times recently and this was not an issue I’ve encountered this until post patch and it is happening constantly now.

Nothing you have to apologize for. DDoS attacks are a mess to deal with for any company. So it’s not like it’s your guys’ fault. Just hopefully whatever person or group is doing this is either stopped or gets bored soon.

Friend and I just got DCed after a massive lag spike. So yeah, still happening.

Is this still going on? The game is still lagging out for me randomly. And I know it’s not my computer.

Dunno if you have your computer set up for the highest graphics, but it was fixed when you had it as such. I ran around with it for about a week with no issue. Granted the fix came with the dampening of the glow as a whole on full graphics, but it was fixed. Now the glow has been re-intensified, but it’s once more glowing through the back of the head on full graphics.

It’s been almost 24 hours and nothing within ember bay has respawned. None of the floating Unbound Magic has, nor have the Petrified Wood nodes. Not sure if more people are experiencing this or not.

While relatively minor and probably not high on any sort of priority list, the Bloodstone Visage glow shows through the back of the character’s head. I doubt this is working as intended, as all other eye glows do not do this. I personally don’t find it very visually appealing. Hopefully this can get fixed somewhere down the road.

During my time doing these tracks, I was also working on the machined weapons collection. I kept a very close eye on all currencies, and none of them changed when I opened PvP reward track boxes. WvW may be different, but the PvP ones are definitely not rewarding currency. At least not for me. I literally just opened the Wyvern Cache. The tier 2 final reward for the HoT track. My Airship parts before opening were 302. After opening, they are still 302. I know for a fact it was 302 before as well, because right before doing a PvP match, I converted 25 Aurillium into 10 Airship parts, taking me from 292 to 302 for the purpose of buying my very last elite spec weapon collection trophy item.

The tooltips for each of these reward tracks in PvP list their given currencies as rewards from the boxes. But I have completed each of these reward tracks, including the HoT one, and not seen a single lump of aurillium, ley line crystal or airship part from any box opened. I did open them all in the Heart of the Mists. I’m not sure if this is related on any level. But the loot boxes do not award currency as described.

So this has been in the preview section of the glider skins for about two weeks now. Normally when a glider preview gets released, it comes out a few days later. Any news on when this is going to happen? This is the first glider I’ve seen that’s been a must have, and I’m more than ready to just throw money at it.

We had a Halloween throwback week a month or so ago. I’d like a Wintersday throwback week where the outfits return soon as well. There are two I’d very much like to get.

Chak armor. Similar to the weapons in that it seems to be alive and moving. Please and thank you.

Broken for me as well. Can’t seem to get it to trigger no matter how many times I do the quest.

I’ve just moved all toons to another town until this gets fixed. It’s still going on and seriously annoying. Please disable this NPC’s messaging until it is fixed.

There have already been a few threads about this, but most of them have rather simple titles. I’m wondering if they might be being skipped over because of this. To emphasize the problem, I am done with the story quest on multiple characters. However every time I zone into Lion’s Arch, I get mail. Whether this be through logging in, leaving fractals, or zoning in from other maps. She spams my inbox with a message that does not pertain to me every single time. While a minor problem in the grand scheme of what probably needs to be addressed, it is getting tiresome very, very fast. Talking to her does not rectify the situation, as her dialogue options are not actually able to be clicked. I know I am not the only one dealing with this issue either. I’d really like to see it fixed. Thank you.

Still a prevalent problem with constant spam. Wish the devs would at least acknowledge this.

I know there are probably bigger fish to fry, but this is a very annoying bug if you swap between characters or do fractals. Every time I leave fractals of the mists to go back into LIon’s Arch, every time I move to another character in Lion’s Arch. And it doesn’t stop. I have six messages in the mail, and none of the characters receiving them have broken quests. Please fix this. Please.

Can we please get a quick fix for this. It is getting rather tiresome.

They were only trivial if you actually accomplished the thankless task of obtaining them. So yes, people do deserve them and wanting some sort of unique recognition for taking part in the structured pvp system back in the day is reasonable. Eh but why would you care right? You just want the things for your wardrobe, mr locust.

Now this is a prime example of video game culture mentality. The “I deserve to be special” thought process. Because you accomplished something in a video game early on, you deserve a gold star. No, no you do not. That’d be like me demanding something special for getting my full elite spec in HoT within the first 10 hours of release, without the proper masteries, and before all the HP nerfs. I don’t. I chose to do that. I chose to run around with a friend of mine and struggle through content we knew was gonna get nerfed just so we could play HoT with our elite spec already done. Chose to gather 21 HoT hero points before they reduced the requirements from 400 to 250. Nobody twisted my arm. And if people have an easier time now, good for them. I don’t deserve special status or a fancy title because I did something many people did not or could not. You’re not special for being on a game before someone else, or doing something in said game before someone else. You are not owed thanks or praise or recognition for it.

I’m requesting these be brought back, through a method that requires I earn them, no less, because they were not ever meant to be a prestige item. They fell through a crack and were never meant to go away. A request, it seems, that is already planned to be fulfilled. Remember now, operative word being request. You are insisting they never be put back because, as you put it, people who already have them deserve recongition for doing something “thankless,” as if they should have had their hand shaken for completing something in a video game. Please, think before you accuse others of being self-entitled and wanting a gold star. This was painfully hypocritical.

They were only common drops if you were good enough to get to that level. Whether or not they were supposed to be left out of the game is irrelevant to the situation now presented, where old school pvpers who played for little to no reward deserve recognition. Contrary to popular ‘gamer culture’ belief, well no, contrary to just popular cultural belief, we are not all entitled to everything we want. The mentality that ‘everyone is a winner’ is completely bogus and narcissistic. Accept that at the very least, the opinion that old players who stuck with a broken system for the love of the game deserving unique recognition is valid. It has nothing to do with wanting what we can’t have. These were not rare armors. They were common drops that the devs themselves have stated were not meant to be removed. They are a skin shown in collections that is unobtainable because of a mistake. Comparing that to legendaries is completely asinine.

The mastery system did give me incentive to get more mastery points because of the XP block, and thus the XP being potentially wasted between mastery unlocks drove me to play more of the content. I have mixed feelings about this being changed, as it actually pushed me to work at something.

In regards to making them nearly impossible, this is a terrible mentality in general. I’m not asking to have them for free. I even stated I want to work toward the outfit. But making them nearly impossible to get would endorse an elitist mentality that GW2 does actively seem to try to avoid.

Winter Solstice outfit again please. I know it’s past winter, but I missed the chance to get this for a dear friend and I’d really like to surprise her with it.

I’m really hoping the Winter Solstice outfit gets returned. I know this was in the gem store recently, but I was absent for it. I’d really like to get it for a good friend of mine. She really enjoys it’s appearance.

Anet is aware of that, but because they don’t support email trades, it keeps them from having to devote resources to dealing with scams. Instead, they offer the trading post as a scamproof means of trade and, although it has limitations, it’s a much safer option that also keeps inflation in check by removing gold from circulation.

I literally just saw you in a thread about tribulation mode sales, which relies on people actually paying gold or giving what is owed for said gold. This is a form of a transaction. A trade, only for services instead of items. They stated that “as long as people get what is owed, we have no issue with it.” Thus, they do support mail trades, and as such do have to devote resources to dealing with scams, were people to try and scam others through the mailing system. The ONLY foreseeable issue that comes from this is the lack of a tax cut through this sort of system. But again, the mail system eliminates the tax cut as well. It just leaves more room for scams.

There are very good reasons to not have a trade system between players (aside from the perfectly functional trading post, that is). Mainly, the trading post helps mitigate frauds and scams and it also cuts down on the massive amount of map chat spam that occurs in games where trading is allowed. It’s not a situation where Anet just doesn’t know how to do a thing, or they’re not doing it because they’re lazy. It’s a purposeful choice based on how they want the economy to function.

As for the topic, I agree about the accessory dye issue. It’s ridiculous that it’s not been expanded with our other customization options.

You can still sell things via the mail system. It doesn’t eliminate trading at all. Just opens up the potential for even more scams (i.e. saying send me the gold and I’ll send you the item, then walking away with the gold), and makes trading clunky and roundabout. It’s literally a trade system with an extra step, and said step is objectively even more exploitable than any traditional trading system could hope to be.

Not to mention, outside selling, the trading post in no way allows item for item trades. What if you get a specific precursor drop you don’t need but someone else does, and they have one of equal value that you need. Now you have to risk mailing them back and forth, hoping the other doesn’t try to take off with said item. A trade system would be no different, save being considerably safer because you can SEE that you’ll get what you’re promised in return.

I see this suggestion so often, and completely agree, but have kind of given up hope on it. If they can’t even give us an active trade system between players (why the hell any MMO would lack one is beyond me), I don’t see this ever coming to light.

HoT is challenging, not overly difficult. We’re use to the cakewalk that is the rest of Tyria. We’ve spent years on content that we can, at this point, probably do in our sleep. I can solo champions throughout the rest of the game like they’re trash mobs. And now we’re provided with something moderately challenging, which is such a drastic contrast to what we’ve grown use to. It creates this illusion of impossible odds and overwhelming difficulty, when in reality it’s just making us actually pay attention and try. Makes us work on dodge timing, skill rotation and mastering our build, which a game should do anyway. If you can breeze through the game without trying, it grows dull fast.

In short, it’s not a problem of game difficulty. It’s an issue of player laziness cultivated through years of easy content.

Agreed. Glad i didnt have to type out my own response cause this covers it. People need to stop crying about things and just learn how to play it. I had 0 trouble roaming solo on the HOT maps on exotic zerk ranger before the first nerf. Please stop trying to make the entire game beginner level people.

I’m running around on a full zerk Daredevil. I am the definition of squishy, and can survive just fine solo.

The chief problem is people grow so use to how mind numbing Tyria is, there is a considerable disconnect with HoT. It makes the moderate difficulty seem outlandish, when it’s anything but. It gives the illusion of impossible difficulty because the rest of the game is stupid easy.

Honestly, if people took the time to adjust, and acknowledge the disconnect between the two parts of the game, they’d find HoT to be pretty fun. A lot more fun than the rest of Tyria, which I could probably do in a coma.

I always kind of laugh at these threads, because I was on the minute HoT went live, and the nerfs have been real. Current HoT is a cakewalk compared to what it was when it first went live. HP difficulty has been nerfed into the floor, enemy damage and numbers have been reduced, terrain hazards have been all but removed in some areas. I recently revisited a few a few HPs on alts I had been actively avoiding because of how maddeningly frustrating they were at release, like the champion frog in the canopy over VB, or the Mordrem in the abandoned temple at the low area of the start of VB, only to find that the frog had been turned into a commune, and the champion Mordrem had been turned into a vet. Let’s not forget the Vampire Broodmother who could insta-heal herself to full in the canopy too. There have already been plenty of nerfs, and the difficulty scale has reached a point where it’s fun, but not unbearable. Anymore, and it’s going to become as mind-numbingly easy as the rest of Tyria. I’m not normally one to say this seriously, but guys, git gud.

So often I try to make an outfit within my wardrobe, with the intention of working toward each piece I may not have. And so often I am faced with an issue where one skin or another is unobtainable for one reason on another. Recently, however, I have been faced with an issue where a skin is not locked behind potential wait times for an item to be re-released in the gem store, or having to grind through a PvP reward track, or possibly even buy GW1. There are a few sets of armor skins that are literally completely unobtainable to anyone who doesn’t already have them. I’d really like to see these brought back. The skin sets in question are listed below.

Light Armor: Tribal Armor, Apostle Armor.
Medium Armor: Stalwart Armor, Marauder Armor.
Heavy Armor: Heavy Scale Armor.

Some of these armors are very unique, and rather appealing. It’s sad to see that we have literally no way of obtaining them purely because they’re part of a system that got replaced.

Also, while I would also like to see each Guild Armor make a comeback, I understand that this is not as important, as the only pieces that are unique are the chest pieces, which are still available.

Our guild has encountered situations so bad we had one that was discovered at the beginning of a trek, and we lost the trek because it never triggered. It was not a bunch of people standing on it, or one person clicking over and over and over. There’s just delay, and the time varies greatly. Sometimes to the point that it just won’t trigger. This is a broken mechanic that needs fixing. And all the sarcasm in the world won’t change that fact.

Not the case, because I have done so solo and still had it not trigger. It has little to do with the number of people. And even if it was set up that way, it’s still broken and needs to be fixed.

For the past few weeks now, guild treks have been having issues. Often times, they are untriggerable, or have a serious delay. Multiple people can stand on it, and press the f key, and nothing happens, sometimes for the entirety of the trek, causing us to fail purely because it doesn’t trigger. This is rather detrimental to completing weekly guild missions, with how often treks can happen. It needs to be fixed.

Would still like to see this happen.

Does anyone have either of the other two tonics?
Just curious if I can get a confirmation on whether it’s affecting them too.

So I’ve discovered something with the Endless Chak Dron Tonic while gliding. I am not sure if this also applies to the Chak Zapper or Chak Slinger Tonics. But when you glide, a rather odd visual glitch takes place.
I’ve attached an image to show the glitch. The wings on your glider deploy, which in and of itself is not suppose to happen based on other tonics. But the wings deploy vertically, for whatever reason.
Not that big of a deal, obviously. But I figured I’d report it anyway, given this is a rather expensive tonic, and it’s only purpose, aesthetics, have a glitch.

Also, the Chak Zapper tonic lacks a dodge roll animation like the other two.
Not sure if that’s intentional or not.
