My feedback on Legendary crafting

Here is what I think would be a good alternative:

Precursor: get one precursor for completing each explorer mode path for each dungeon. Make it so this can be done once per character.

Monthly achievement: get to pick a gift that can be used towards a legendary (twilight would take 8 months or so for example). The farming route can be an alternative but not required.

Instead of you making it in the Mystic Forge, add some grandmaster weaponsmith, a mystical like character perhaps a dwarf or some ethereal being, anyways… sending you on an epic quest line similar to the story series, perhaps can only be started once your personal story is completed.

Story series = epic quest line?

This is epic quest line. In order to get the final weapon you had to do already 2 insane intermediate chains to get a precursor weapon on each. If you are refering to something like his…yes I am all for it.

If you want to replace the cumbersome parts of the process with something….then make it so it actually makes legendaries less frequent than 5% of the total population as ANet claimed they would be. Now tell me what kind of challenge would be able to be completed by only that small fraction of the population…..not to mention the outcry and whining….If they cannot dedicate just time to finish this easy but time consuming process….imagine what would happen if they had to train to increase their playerskill in a timely fashion (about a year) in order to complete (if they could) this whole thing.

GL with that.

Legendary, why is it legendary ?

Because for the people that didn’t open their wallets it requires “legendary” patience. That is a good enough reasoning to me.

Well considering the nose dive the population took I think it’s safe to agree most think it’s a bad game.

The classes are incredibly shallow btw. It’s such a giant step backwards for the genre, it’s like mmo lite. There are no rotations because the classes are too dumbed down to have one.

There is no rotation because the game has a different more action oriented approach to its combat. There is no point in the term rotation or DPS when you are jousting mobs. And to tell you the truth it is a good thing.

There is a more basic reason people don’t like GW2, it’s a bad game.

The content is bland, the classes are shallow and the pvp stinks. The “dynamic world” was pure sales hype.

GW2 isn’t fun plain and simple.

I won’t comment on the rest you said, but classes are far from shallow. It takes me about 30 mins on the tree calculator to estimate my build close to 90% of what I play in release before I even play the said game. Yea….that didn’t work with GW2. I had to consider a lot of factors in order to determine my build.

That also has to do with the fact that it is not just a rotational game….which also makes it far from bad game as you claim.

Nobody plays games to be tortured, and yet that is exactly what the end of game of every MMO that copies WoW does.

You are very wrong. I can say that after 13 years of playing MMOs, the only things that I remember from the previous games I have been in are the good times during hardships.

Hardships bond you with the game than rather being a filler to your free time that you could also spend just staring blankly to TV or just a white painted wall….

That is exactly why I think so fondly of EQ1….not just because it was my first one…but due to the hardships the game had. For example WoW was my second one and yet I have no fond memories of that game when I left back in 2006 rather games that proved to be harder (in every possible way, yes even grindwise) and challenging after it. It has nothing with which game was first, which second etc.

To make it simple, I can still remember the first time I managed to buy a Jagged band or a BIBS in Feymart by shouting in the zone. Even that was difficult and wasn’t a one button purchase but required quite a bit of a bargaining. I can tell you that after trading over 600g of things in GW2 I cannot even remember what the hell I have traded.

Hardships bond people with what they are spending their time on. If you think people don’t want hardships then you are probably an FPS player or a WoW generationer. Sorry for the generalization beforehand….but I try to make a point.

Basically back to where they were before the quick supply increase.

Ecto and materials have continued to go up (though some T6s have leveled).

Legendaries, especially the greatswords, currently cost 100-200g more than before fixes intended to lower their cost were implemented.

Would be nice to not be completely left in the dark on this. The closest we’ve gotten to any real news is “we’re working on it,” and “We’re going to run some data.” The latter was in response to the currently horrid drop rates of rares on Cursed Shore and other locations, where any players that has farmed there for more than two hours will immediately tell you they’re getting 1/4th the normal amount of rares and that champions are still not dropping loot even when properly tagged.

What exactly are you looking for here….seriously. Do you expect for the legendary to have a “fixed” price fullstop? No, the market goes up and down. There is a reason some of us predicted the market and started purchasing our first Charged Lodestones even before we had exotic gear.

Learn to predict/estimate/calculate rather than complaining in the forum. You can use your brain also in your time gaming rather than only when you are working.

The fact that there is a market for having an optimal time for obtaining a Legendary is part of the problem.

Whether or not I want to go for a legendary should not have “be able to manipulate and exploit the market” as a pre-requisite. Yet right now it’s the most important factor – more than how much you’ve played the game, or explored, or done anything related to something other than the economy.

Legendary prices are currently increasing at about 50% of the rate I’m farming gold. For every 10g I get on Cursed Shore, some part of the legendary has gone up so that it costs at least 5g more. Do you think that’s alright? Because I’m sure Anet doesn’t.

I farmed yesterday 2 hours in the new island and I got 18 Powerful bloods, 40 Potent bloods, 2 ectos, 50+ karka and around 60-70s in vendor trash. How exactly you cannot make as much as the legendary goes up?

Also you think that ANet thinks that the chase for the legendary shouldn’t be like this? That is why they were adamant on that they want less than 5% of the population to have one? If they want to keep it like this there has to be a bottleneck…guess what. You just found it.

Edit- It was 18 Powerful bloods not 10.

I hope you loose all your gold on one of the smart prediction of yours.

I don’t play the market at this stage of the game. I predicted what would each thing mean at the early stages. So unfortunatelly your wish doesn’t hold any water.

People like you are why this game is going to fail like every other Korean MMO brought West unless A.Net makes major changes. This “F-you Got Mine!” attitude that is so prevalent is just tiring.

Tell me you are joking please. Whether I played the market at the early stages of the game helping me with the precursor and the lodestones (ONLY) didn’t mean I did not spend a lot of time trying to make the Legendary I possess. The only reason I spent this time was because ANet promised it will be hard/cumbersome enough to stay limited to less than 5% of the populaton. That is why I tried to figure out ways to gain the “hard” parts (bottlenecks) of the process.

So as you can understand it is not a “F-you Got Mine!” attitude. It is something completely different. And if you go to the extent of calling me an elitist prick or something along those lines….I would say that you couldn’t pay me a better compliment even IRL.

P.S. I am a Westerner….has nothing to do with Korean MMOs and attitude of such.

Uh, no, just no.

One cannot predict when Anet decides to bloat supply numbers by throwing lodestones into new dungeons. You might have gotten it right by predicting that lodestones would have a constant demand, but don’t flatter yourself for being smart when only the devs can predict the numbers they’re going to play with..

You are the one who doesn’t understand. You predict things if they stay as they are. No, you cannot predict things if devs introduce Lodestones in dungeon vendors. And that is why I said they shouldn’t be introduced or made easier to get. I think it is pretty simple to follow.

FotM doesn't reward players with exp

in The Lost Shores

Delolith.9645

FotM will be scalling only during the weekend, when the lost shores event ends only lvl80 will be able to get there.
So when only lvl80 will be able to go there exp is not that important.
But exp rewards are always welcome, many people want skill points for legendary.

So yeah some exp after each fractal would be nice.

Actually it doesnt say anywhere that the dungeon will only scale this weekend. If you look here http://www.guildwars2junkies.com/tag/fractals-of-the-mist/ it says that it will scale players up to lvl 80 and it will be open to players of all levels. But it doesnt say that the scaling of the dungeon is only during the weekend.

No ANet said that FotM plus the new zone will be for 80s only. But for this weekend will be a small exception that people will get scaled to 80 so they can participate.

I thought the point of Legendary weapons was to keep them really hard to get, so that those few that worked hard and got one, would really feel special.

I thought the point of Legendary weapons was to give people an option of having really beautiful skins with special effects if they wanted them. As far as I’m concerned, the point of those weapons was not to slap e-kitten on other people’s face.

I’m thinking about getting Sunrise, since it’s easy (as in, it’s just a matter of time until someone plays the game enough to get enough karma and enough gold; it may take a while, but whatever). I want that sword because IMO it’s beautiful. I couldn’t care less if I’m the only player in the game who has it, or if every single character has a pretty Sunrise in its inventory – the fact I like how it looks is enough for me.

No. You are absolutely incorrect about what Legendaries should be according ANet. However, I am not surprised they follow this politicy and back down to their earlier words that they will keep legendaries only to less than 5% of the population.

So much for working for one.

this game does not require grind.. the thing you are referring to is CASUAL PLAY.
grinding is commonly used in korean mmo’s that actually require a person to grind several months to acquire a certain type of equipment that differs from the normal one.
so you won’t have to “grind” to get the equipment, but you will have to PLAY the game to get it.

p.s.: believe me when i say these things… i’ve been a korean mmo game player for 5 years.

Some people consider GW2 as a grindfest while I have a legendary weapon (Bolt) and Anomaly to complement it 2 months in release (no RMT or gems) with a 60 hour/week job. Tststs

Yeah, umm. Did you get the memo where the primary stat diff btwn an exo and a corresponding ascended piece is about 40%? 2ndary stats 8-10%+?

Those state aren’t for that dungeon only, those stats will be used EVERYWHERE, including WvW (pvp). This is a big problem, especialy to wvw-ers that take a break and then come back to see that their max gear is no longer ‘max’.

It’s also a matter of trust. Anet has repeatedly assured us in the past that there would be NO VERTICAL PROGRESSION. Where is that promise now? Maybe that former Nexon manager in charge of most financial things in anet is the backdoor for Nexon (who has 15%+ shares in NCSoft, btw)?

Stop taking drugs seriously. The difference is beteen 4-7% total.

Yakkington’s ring – 10% MF. Magic find ring with MF crystal in it – 7% MF. 42% increase (3/7). This will probably be the same for berserker gear (150% crit dmg in WvW? LOL???) and for carrion/rabid/etc gear, once all the ascended peices are released. And we aren’t even talking about the next tier (legendaries) yet!

40% increase of primary stats is ridiculous, and even 4-7% is already a noticeable edge. Say hello to Gearscore and gated content. And to WvW-ers such as myself being forced to grind PvE for things other than looks. Sorry, this is the WRONG direction for anet to take. And if you don’t believe me about Nexon (the one responsible for Maple Story’s fate, among other things), go ahead and do your own research. They’re insinuated into anet’s decision making processes, probably as much as NCSoft itself is.

If you consider MF as the primary stat then yes. I seriously doubt this will happen to berseker gear though. I expect a 1% increase in Crit damage…not a 4% from a single piece. And you know what….numbers have the flexibility to be able to get rebalanced if they are off.

Current legendaries will be automatically updated in terms of stats. No needing to grind out a new weapon to get enhanced stats.

I’m asking if they’ll also upgrade other weapons as well, especially those that cost as much or more than legendaries.

Those other weapons are exotics and might have the same or a bit more money requirement than legendaries…but certainly do not have the requirements a legendary has (1.2 million karma, world completion etc) even if you do these just for your own sake.

So no they won’t be upgraded.

You use them the same way you used them till now. For the looks…aka for the skin. If you wanted just an exotic weapon you coud get one for 1/100th of the price of the Mystic Forge recipes.

So acquire an Ascended weapon and if you don’t like the look, transmute it to your previous look. I am sorry but I thought this is pretty straightforward.

Two hours a day is a lot of time!

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Posted by: Delolith.9645

Delolith.9645

Let’s just put a few hobbies down here:
- football: 2 times 1 hour training a week and 1 90 minutes match.
- Counter-Strike: a 12 game clanwar takes no longer than half an hour. You can dose them as much as you like… one per week at low+ or 20 a day at hi++
- running a marathon: once you are trained this is less than 3 hours, and you don’t do one weekly. Training for it is 3 times a week about 2 hours.
- reading Da Vinci Code: 5 hours
- reading 15 whodunnit pockets : one afternoon
- practicing musical performance: 2 hours a week
- practicing for an extremely good (amateur level) musical performance: 2 times 2 hours a week

- becoming r14 in vanilla WoW: 14 hours a day for 1 month straight
- gathering a legendary: 2 hours a day consistently for several months or 2 weeks hardcore.

Only three things come to mind that come even near this level of dedication:
- getting kitten laude in my final year at university
- training for Ironman triathlon which I won’t do because of this time commitment
- deadlines at work which sometimes go over this for shorter periods of time

Not that I mind hard, long term goals but people say a legendary “only” takes 2 hours a day for several months. That’s not a casual time commitment, that’s actually pretty hardcore, considering most people actually have a job, family and friends. I don’t know why people have this deluded idea that “merely 2 hours a day” is a casual time investment? Most days I actually struggle with completing the daily achievement. Not that I mind… I’d go for a legendary anyways, I’ve got years…

Until I heard about ascended items. I love ascended items as a one time gear increment. Nice to have another long time goal. If it becomes a tiered system however, it’ll be devastating for people like me (the absolute majority of players) who will fall behind and never be able to join pvp, dungeons, guilds etc. It happened in other games with tiered gear, I really don’t want it to happen to my favourite game.

Two hours a day is not a casual time investment, it’s pretty hardcore by standards set in all other games and past times. An MMO is the perfect thing to lose myself after a hard day of work, but it shouldn’t feel like a second job and that’s exactly what most MMOs are, a world for people without jobs and students neglecting their classes.

Lol really? You put a timetable to your hobby? As far as I know a hobby is something you do because it gives you happiness/fun. So in other words usually you persue to do it as much as possible in your spare time.

So no….you shouldn’t be forced to play a game….you should WANT to play the game for the hours they supposedly force you with the gun on your head according to your words….

I have a job for 60-65 hours per week and I still mange to steal 3 hours per day to play this game (more during weekends of course). Because I am an achiever in my RL I also tend to want to achieve and progress in my hobby as well.

As far as I can tell, the ride up to now in GW2 was marvelous…and I am pretty confident it will remain as such even with gear addition. I don’t mind as long as there is something to do in the game.

WvW solution: Ascended Gear for Honor.

in WvW

Posted by: Delolith.9645

That is right legendaries are a must now since they hold a statistical advantage over exotics. The new armour add +8% so in a fight that advantage is the diff between a win and a port back to way point.
WvW will have no choice to grind out the PVE just to be on par with others.

Posts like these make me believe that most people attracted to GW2 are MOBA gamers instead of MMOers. Yes GW2 is not your typical MMO for sure…and I even have a legendary weapon just for the achievement and the looks…

But in the end of the day…just shut up and play all of the parts of the MMOs….it is not a MOBA. They keep sPvP unaffected as it should be.

Ascended Runes & Sigils?

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Posted by: Delolith.9645

Delolith.9645

Ascended gear has upgrades already built in, so no, you won’t lose anything. There is no trade-off. It is better in any aspect.

@OP: If I were you, I’d sell those runes/sigils as they will eventually become useless.

Statwise upgrades are implemeted in the ring, that much is confirmed.

However, when it comes to weapons and armor, there may be statwise bonuses to Ascended gear, but there is a trade-off.
The specific rune and sigil bonuses

My shouts heal condition due to my runes of the soldier. Getting Ascended armor would mean a possible increase in stats, but the loss of the utility provided by the armor.

Like I said. This is still mostly speculation, so I think this debate is better held in the future when there is more concrete information.

From Linsey:
‘The stats and functionality normally added to gear through upgrade components are actually built into Ascended items. ’ So, according to her, you’ll still be getting the shout healing in Ascended, and it’ll heal for more.

Yes…like gain all boons and loose all conditions when you use an elite skill /facepalm

No…the bads here are arguing about legendaries been kept down to 5% of the population like ANet promised no matter what. If they want to introduce an insanely difficult dungeon to get a precursor and that being the “measure” of player skill…I am all for all legendaries to be taken back, return Gift of Mastery/Fortune/Legendary name….and force everyone to make that hard dungeon for the skill check in order to get the precursor.

Also make the dungeon solo so that several of the actual bads here won’t be able to get it just because they bring their adequate friends with them….althoug adequate should cut it for 5% population dungeon.

And then how do you reduce the amount of players down to 5% in the possession of a legendary? What does reasonable mean anyway….that is totally subjective. For me doing a legendary weapon is was way too easy. You want legendary? Try doing EQ1 epic weapons.

Good News. I have no problem to farm allot of stuff for a legendary weapon, but when i have to pay the base weapon for 500+ gold it just suck.

Make it that you have to clear a hard solo dungeon the get the pre weapon. So you earn it with your playing skills.

Certain people on this thread only have one skill. Making money. And they’re desperately trying to keep that one skill to be the only one that’s relevant.

They can have their money for all I care as long as the rest of us aren’t being cut off from content like legendaries becuase the precursors keep getting expensive.

Are you kidding me. As long as only 5% of the total population could finish this dungeon I all for it.

You’re against changing the system because “by gally it needs to be exclusive to 1% of the games population!”

Yes. Simple answer.

Unfortunately agreed. They sure are a legendary grind.

Totally agree. And you know what….I prefer it if it is legendary grind or legendary lucky than welfare. If they manage to keep it down to 5% population I seriously don’t care what means they will utilize economy, grind, difficulty, call it what you want. As long as there is a niche for everyone I don’t care.

As such, it’s very likely the stigma will take quite a long time to go away, unless players start to have better and more realistic attitudes to the game.

Taken the previous example of perfect human speciment that posted before you….good luck with that.

Thanks a lot ANET staff ! I trust you for keeping this legendary anyway.
To the bad trolls : we don’t want an EASIER way to get them, but a challenged based method, not just spending tons of gold. I want feeling glad after a long and hard journey

It remains to be seen. Or it could be another Vabbi/Obsidian armor thing in the course of the next months.

I guess you’ll have a really good argument on your hands if legendaries become more common than exotics then.

Indeed…and ANet would also have a good argument on their hands that the legendaries are their end game if they are more common than exotics as well. /golfclap

Games change, things get adjusted. The feedback was that legendaries were becoming too unreachable and Anet agreed. Get over it.

Btw, some of you people have an incredibly broad definition of the word casuals. To me a casual is someone who’s still working on his exotics or map completion. Or at least someone who doesn’t have 500+ hours yet. You seem to consider anyone who isn’t a TP power trader or a 10h/day Plinx farmer to be a casual. Well in that case it’s no wonder Anet is catering to casuals. They can’t make a game this big for just 1% of it’s current population.

I guess you guys are just too hardcore for this game. How about you try some other game? Or how about life? I hear it’s a real kitten to be successful but if you can do it then all the fame and glory that comes with it will be yours

Btw, even if they actually handed out precursors I still doubt that even 10% of the population would actually go for legendaries.

According to your definition I am a casual then. And if I have a legendary 2 months in the game at 430 hours played…then fail for a legendary item.

This game has some of the most spoiled crybabies of any game I’ve ever played.

Your average human is nothing but a crybaby. Unfortunatelly ANet seems to care and cater to the average Joe Doe even on their “exceptional” niches of the game. Apparently there is nothing exceptional around anymore.

And I don’t consider 2 moths of effort anything exceptional either. Legendaries are already too easy to acquire. They should have increase honor badges to 10.000 and add a solo part that is so ridiculous to achieve that people payed over 600 dollars per month for destroyed PCs from too much harassment.

TP trading is there for people who like doing this sort of thing but it SHOULD NOT be the only viable way to get enough gold for a legendary. This is not Economy Wars 2. If you can’t get what you want through normal play then the system is broken. With the exception of certain mmos like EvE, these types of games aren’t designed around market trading. They’re designed around going out and playing the actual game.

I think I gained around 50g out of TP manipulation. The rest was from pure gameplay. 430 hours played (very focused gaming) and managed to make Bolt. People just overexaggerate cause they don’t have the patience to go through all the things a legendary requires.

Playing the trading post isnt a honest way of earning a legendary imo. It doesnt suffer from diminishing returns like almost everything else in this game and manipulates prices.

wow, i just give up
you’re actually saying you want the process to be easier because you keep using the wrong and harder way of achieving it… that really tells a lot
this is what i was talking about when i wrote using your brain to find profitable way to achieve your goal instead of being stubborn
but apparently you’d rather be stubborn, then go ahead and work way harder on an already hard process to get no benefits in return, possibly even making you sick of the game

You are funny. Dont you think its sad playing the most challanging and fun content of the game gives a lot less rewards than mindless Orr farming or trading post manipulation (flipping and all the dishonest other crap you can do)?

I agree that karma could be easily tied to dungeon completions instead and been made even more difficult than what they are now. However, I don’t see how you claim that market manupulation is dishonest crap. You know there are people that actually study in universities in order to do that in this thing we call the real world. You seem to have a very strange grasp of reality….

Na 10% are legit drops. It is just unfortunate that Anet didnt ban the exploiters at the start like they should have and dealt with botters better.

I was simply taking the opposite approach that everyone else is that things will get better instead they might just get much worst.
Maybe I will add sarcasm tag next time.

To banning the exploiters and bots from moment 0 I totally agree and they should have cleaned the market completely since it happened. However, those “exploited” precursors are over now. The ones you see sold right now are legit. So I don’t see how your next statement belongs in a thread about “precursors” being addressed.

You don’t understand. Legendaries are already too easy to acquire to be called legendaries. I managed to get one in 2 months gaming with a 60 hour job per week and no RMT involved. Or botting or karma exploiting. If I can do it then most people can. They just don’t have patience is the only problem. And ANet stated that legendaries should exist in less than 5% of the total population.

Such threads make my head explode. Average people want to achieve exceptional things by non exceptional deeds. WTF……

That is right Anet decided it was too easy to get one and have decided to nerf the drops and rng more. Cant wait for things to get worse. They want you to buy gold so they will increase the price of precursors.
These are the changes to the feedback they received.
I do hope I am wrong but hey you never know.

Because all people who have a legendary bought gold either from RMT or from ANet gems right?

Lol GJ ANet….way to keep your word that legendaries will be an elite item encountered in less than 5% of the population. GJ….I wish there was some challenge or insane component that would make legendary so rare as to only 5% of the people manage to do it….but since there isn’t and people don’t have patience, this was a good measure. Now apparently it is time for walfare legendaries.

I just wanted to address the absolute ridiculousness of how legendarys are acquired.
Below is a visual representation i have made (mad paint skillz #yolo)

I have seen the forum post from anet addressing they are aware of the pre cursors etc etc. But it isnt the pre cursors that are the problem… Its the lodestones and ecto’s They are too hard to get and too expensive.

http://i.imgur.com/NC8Aq.png (<< excuse the external link i cant use bbcode for some reason…)

please share your thoughts.

Share my thoughts? I don’t think it matters. Do you want me to pass the thoughts of ANet since they have shared them in the past? ONLY LESS THAN 5% OF THE TOTAL POPULATION will have a legendary. Now put some effort to make your brain function. Think of what this percentage means. Try to apply it to the general populous….voila. Now it doesn’t seem that ridiculous eh?

TL:DR version: According to ANet it is intentional.

I’d love to see a source on the 5% number. Though I don’t doubt it.

You asking me to find a source about a week before release. I know the burden is on me for proof…but it is almost impossible to find this.

I remember it was an answer of a dev to someone claiming it would be stupid to see rainbows flying around in a 500 vs 500 fight (he was referring to the legendary short bow and WvW) and the dev responded to him that they expect and want legendaries to be found in less than 5% of the total population. So that wouldn’t happen in WvW.

given the amount of complains from people that dont have legendaries and crying about the RNG sytem, I think Anet will eventually cave in and start to offer “welfare legendaries,” like guarantee you will receive just by doing x, y and z.

So long as X,y and z are more legendary than spending 400 or more hours grinding gold and involve more than just farming endless plinx than I am ok with that. You know, if they involved the achievement system more, or completing all event chains in Orr, or finishing all exploreables, jumping puzzles etc than yes, that would be a much more legendary method of obtaining legendaries than just grinding a legendary amount of time or having legendary luck in the mystic forge.

Its not welfare if you have to complete skill based objectives and social activities to get and participate in game events. It is welfare if all I need to do is buy X amount of gold to get it.

No. It is welfare if Joe Doe can do it. ANet stated Legendaries should exist in 5% of the population or less. If they make such a challenge with in a skill-based manner (altghough I seriously doubt they could pull something like) to correspond to such low population percentage I am all for it.

If you consider that you might need a double crit with rares (crit to exotic, crit to precursor) I think you are loosing your time with rares.

Depends the situation really. With exotics there’s not much room for improvement (eg you loose 3 exotics every time you don’t get the pre-cursor), with rares you can always get an exotic back which you can sell to buy more rares and have another shot.
In my case, I’m currently almost broke and nearly out of crafting mats as well after having levelled another profession to 400.
With my last bit of money I bought 4 rare level 80 staffs from TP and I got a named exotic in return that I could’ve sold for ~3G if I wouldn’t have wanted to keep it myself.
So instead of having to wait on lucky drops for exotics or enough gold to buy them, I’m still able to continue my luck with much cheaper / easier to get rares and earn some money in the progress and/or gives me more exotics to gamble with than if I wouldn’t throw in rares.

My results so far:
12x lvl 80 rare staff = 2x rare + 1 x named exotic
12x lvl 76+ random rares = 1 x lvl 80 exotic + 2 x lvl 80 rare

What you are missing is that you are using level 75+ cheap exotics which are very cheap to produce level 80 exotics. You sell these for 1.5-3g to mitigate the loss and then you proceed to buy more 75+ exotics to try more. Remember…all precursors are not Dusk.

So Ordinary player is a normal man

and Straordinary is a Korean Farmer? -.-

No, someone with patience. If he happens to be Korean then ok, you can call it what you want.

a “ordinary” player does not deserve one.

Sorry some of us like to have fun instead of do the same thing over and over for two months to maybe end up with enough money to get a precursor, and of course maybe have the other things we need as well.
Sitting in orr for two months doing one event over and over isn’t fun, I can’t begin to imagine how flawed your logic is if you think it is.

Ever tried to do a 10k pieces puzzle to see how repetitive it is? Have you ever tried to do martial arts to make the same exact moves over and over and over thousands to ten thousand of times till you get perfect? That is repetitive as well. If you are here just for the fun you do not deserve to have the legendary. It requires effort.

Like ANet said…the legendary won’t happen by itself due to time spent. You have to aim for it.

In a few weeks Beastgate will be duking it out with henge in tier 37. And i mean no disrespect to Henge, as we still have seen nothing like what they were in the tier 1 bracket since their demise.

And the server that wins solely to the Korean dominance has the balls for such claims. I dunno want to call this….irony, subjectivity, tunnel vision….I would like to see you sir responding to the same situation if luck wanted you to call Blackgate your server.
