It would make more sense if you haven’t played wvw ever or in a lonnnnnnng time you should be bumped to a lower tier server to allow active players to join servers. some people just dont play wvw.

Interesting, I usually command a zerg in the wee hours in WVW as a ranger (not druid) and no one has said anything, i openly accept any who will die for the cause. Sorry you’ve encountered some kittengery out there. You just keep doing your thing and let them keep the sense of entilement all to themselves GL & HF

I’m giving this a solid NO. As stated above, gold doesn’t equal experience. On my server there are times in wvw EBG where there is no tag, so by that logic it is already unaffordable or the players who own one don’t think they have the experience to command a squad there. Or maybe if they did and tried and got yelled at for not knowing or didn’t “git good” they decided to stay untagged. The price for the tag I’d fair and you’ll quickly learn how/when to use it. If you seem to have “troll” tags then I suggest ignore/block.

As a player who experienced it all as it came out, LS1 was far to fast. Every two weeks wasn’t enough time to get cheevos, and everything else done before it was gone. The landscape of tyria also changed rapidly and forever. This steady release gives people adequate time to get the cheevos and do the story and still work on other things without feeling pressured or rushed. The quality of maps is better imo. The POF expac should open up several maps like HOT did and give you plenty of materies to get you where you need to be with new specializations and mounts. Plus people who have stuff outside of the game can. Login to unlock the new maps instead of missing them entirely.

Remember when they said Lake Doric would not be released and they did not have plans to introduce an area with that much water? Then we got lake Doric without the water like a month later.

Yeah that whole part wasn’t very clear on the wiki or in game. I learned the hard way and placed a hero’s banner on the assembly machine. Oops. ????

So I’m looking to level my scribe up and I found the website that makes it easier and cheaper. But i see that you can make hero’s banners. The wiki says they get put into guild storage. My question is this : Can you craft the hero’s banner and remove it from the guild storage and use it in say, WVW? or is it more like an upgrade to a tower you capture? Thank you in advance for your answers.

If they introduce a “home” it’ll likely be yours alone that no one can come farm at. Leave the home instance the way it is so others may enjoy the bounty.

Use proofs of heroics from wvw. Done.

I do what Just a flesh would does, use on my key toon. You get so many so I decided not only to key farm, but to map complete in dry top and silverwastes for the extra map currency. Much needed towards gen 1 legendaries. So thats one use. Hope it helps.

Possibly left the same to keep HOT relevant. Newer trinkets may use some new thing tied to POF. But more than likely vendors will all sell gifts of whatever needed to make shards in both HOT and POF. but nothing has been confirmed.

You don’t need all the cheevos for the back. One bar getting broken each time he spawns is as good as it gets till you get there sometimes. I did it for 2 months and on my last fight which all I needed was one bar to get broken we somehow did the no fly cheevo. Smh

When you play the demo, it takes a snapshot of your current gold, gems, etc and it freezes at that for that character only. If you aquire more gold etc on other toons it will be normal. Hope this helps.

A company would not stay in business operating with stolen keys for long. Chargebacks most always land in favor of the card holder. There are major penalties from the credit card companies and processors. It’s in a merchants best interest to not get charge backs so they aren’t put into a “negative file” from the banks. Plus if they were getting alot of chargebacks, PayPal wouldn’t support them as a payment processor. But again, your money, your call.

Being that they only use PayPal as a payment method and you can use your credit card in PayPal you have double the protection against any fraud. But some people are just scared of using the internet. It’s your money, at least be responsible with it and don’t ecto gamble it away. ????

There have been a number of people who’ve bought keys obtained through fraudulent purchases from that site. If it was a completely reputable website, why isn’t it an authorized reseller?

Personally, I wouldn’t risk something like my entire Guild Wars 2 account by purchasing from a site that is not on the authorized reseller list. It’s too risky. It just takes one time for the key to have been obtained fraudulently for your entire account to be in jeopardy. You can succeed several times, but that one failure could permanently ban your account if Digital River doesn’t grant an exception.

I don’t see how, when they issue the code it checks out through the gem store when you redeem it and you get your gems. if there were some issue with the code it should be flagged preventing you from using it. If they were to come back to me months later and say “that code you used back in april of 2015 says its stolen” that’s not gonna fly. They have a responsibility to the players to insure that all the codes they redeem get checked, by accepting those codes as valid means they are valid. You cant turn around later and say oh we finally checked the codes and you are sol. After all, they are the ones who issue the codes to the retailers in the first place.
Also, I’ve used them for xbox live renewal codes several times and a company like Microsoft isn’t going to wait and see if a code checks out.

Why not remove the runes/sigils and have a vendor sell them with the other lower level equipment? Then it stops being a nuisance.

The Mount was amazing! Just what we need! The map was gorgeous! The enemies were well designed.
The only negative is the unidentified gear, as other have said, this appears to be a counter intuitive solution to the “clutter” from loot. Let’s give that a hard look before release. Great job overall!

This was I’m assuming in response to so many asking for a “helper” to gather stuff for you and to also maybe cut back on the afk farming around tyria. I like it, just like the enchanted treasure chest, unless you did the stuff or paid the price you can’t use it like a normal node. But if your friends own one then they could interact with it inside your home instance too I would expect. It’s nice for some of those mats you don’t always get around to farming to be supplied to you daily. Great job Anet!

This is so annoying. Please fix. I has lots of loots to salvage and this box scares me. Thought I had broken it.

So I was having this same issue a few weeks ago and someone posted a tip and it worked. Go-to your task scheduler in windows, go-to the one with Outlook in it and disable the one that says something about runs when there is a change ( can’t remember exactly) but this cleared it up for me. Hope this helps.

So, I got the patch and logged in and ran over to watch the fireworks, and OMG was it lovely. No turret is safe in the camp, up the hill, at the top… but those pesky AFKer’s are working their lazy little heads to come up with a solution. Great job ANET!

Another suggestion: only let skill #1 be auto cast. Yes the guardians with a loot stick will try to abuse it, but the damage is so low it would take longer than it would be worth it.
Auto casting any other skill is not viable in the game, you have ground targeting, shouts, and other skills that need to only be cast when you need them, not when they are off cooldown. You’d certainly not run around with your heal skill popping off whenever its available would you?

There are people who like adventure, action, complexity, teamwork… and sometimes there are people who simply like to farm and grind (alone or in a team).

An MMO game should address all types of players, for different moods a player could have, and player can feel happy in different paths of entertainment.

In my opinion grinding and farming is an important part of an MMO. This still reminds me of the good old days in WoW.

You decided you needed leather and that you would join the farm… Then got annoyed that another 40 engineers were doing it.

No I decided to run the farm as it was intended and actually play the game. Plus I don’t run a turret build its doesn’t suit my play style.

It’s not just the leather farm. It’s the winterberries, the spots in orr, drytop, wherever it’s being done. Maybe you didn’t understand what I meant. Turn of the players auto cast feature altogether. No one uses it. To set up another skill to fire off every time its off cool down is not useful in the slightest. Because in all reality you still spam #1, so its not being used anyway. Pets and other things that auto cast are fine the way they are. It’s the player abusing the auto cast that is keeping the system from logging them out. no matter how you spin it.

How about this: If you HAVE to do the event in an area, wait till its not a daily area???? Problem solved.

So after much thought, I’ve come up with the simplest way to end all afk farming; REMOVE THE AUTO CAST FEATURE. It doesn’t get used but for people to abuse the system. This one simple thing that no one uses can easily be turned off and no one but the AFK farmers will be affected. No one says “oh let me stand here and hit 1 and walk away from the boss.” It doesn’t always stay on even when used. Also, no one uses auto cast to set off their other skills either.

It’s only slightly cheaper to craft than to buy.

For some of us who started back before Scarlet’s destruction on Lion’s
Arch, we had one option: buy soulbound unlimited harvesting tools for 800 gems each. Later they allowed you to upgrade them to account bound at no charge. The price was increased to 1000 gems to compensate. So at the time, some players had purchased multiple sets for multiple toons. Some chose to bank the one set of tools they owned and swap them between toons. Then came the Shared Inventory Slots, which allowed the newest players to purchase a set and have them always available without having to goto the bank. Very nice on Anet’s part. So over the past 4 years my 13 toons each have a set of unlimited gathering tools. I’m more than happy to pay with gems for all the hard work that Anet does for the game, but I would like to see some sort of swap/exchange program preferably in-game to switch out the tools you already have for something a bit more updated. Of course a fee would need to apply to the transaction. For example; I own the skritt glitter bomb harvesting tool and don’t really care for the animation or the time it takes to use it (whether or not it is actually longer, its my perception that it does take longer) and would love to swap it out for another tool. Maybe a fee of some gold or gems, or a mystic forging of some kind. Because some of us bought the tools that were available at the time and much better ones have since been released that look better and/or give added mats (Watchwork/Unbound). It would be useless to buy more sets just to destroy or bank the old ones and I’m not really one to use 3 of my shared slots for the tools since all my toons already have a set of their own.

Anet you wonderful people, please grant us some way in game to pay a fee and exchange/swap existing unlimited gathering tools for other that are available.

The one AFK farmer in Malchor’s Leap has been there over a month. When you report him his account name is his serial # !!!! I mean c’mon. I’ve reported, sent screenshots, they’ve responded thanking me and saying something will be done… an month ago. He’s still there. Little asuran kitten. ugh. On the Bitterforst side, I had a stroke when the tree was unmanned by necros :O but then I found some at another tree. I know they get over whelmed with tickets and reports, but they can easily pull game logs and see this person was in this spot for X amount of time. Was it on a necro/reaper? Then its an AFK farmer.
The loot they get is minimal, but still loot. Unbound magic will net you warped packets and mats to sell, potentially ascended mats. Plus the spiders drop tier 6 venom on occasion. Theres the profit from it all.
We cant just nerf the loot/enemies/or minion mancers. My suggestion would be to add another veteran or allow one that is already there to move over to the spots in question and be able to kill off the minions and mancer. Would it take 2 vets? 3? or a champ? Well a champ would potentially give them more loot, and if it was an unlootable champ then its just a waste/hindrance to us. Personally, I’d like to be able to kill of the minions myself and watch the mancer die. but that’s just me.

Could we get the Jade Node in Rata Sum home instance moved near the others? Perhaps next to the Bloodstone Node?

I’d really love the cosmic harvesting tool for the plants. This thread is what makes the community so great.

Saw it previewed on Dulfy and had to have it. its the perfect size. you don’t have to have your settings turned up so that you see all allies around you. All Hail the glorious Raven!

We need to add all the new harvestable currencies to this too, Bloodstone rubies, petrified wood and winterberries.

We had the molten mining tool for what… almost 2 years before the “set was complete”. But they are not a set if you read the description. But it works. The flute ones are slow and annoying as is the skritt, and don’t get me started on the jack in the box. All were purchases I regret. But at least they are 1000 gems now instead of 900 like they used to be. They should implement a preview function or exchange function, its not like they don’t already have all my gems ????
