As soon the “leveled” fotm came out half my guild quit within a week

Would not recommend this game to anyone and matter of fact have told the truth about this game on many forums.

1. WvW has no point, no rewards, no RP’s, it gets boring real fast.

2. New gear treadmill that splits up the playerbase and whats the deal with the fract levels? silliness

3. These forums are draconian, thats a bad sign, Warhammer was like that before the crash, good games have nothing to hide.

4. The no farming policy, why? I just dont get it, alot of people like to do that stuff.

5. The Ranger (my main) was nerfed into oblivion months ago and apparently anet doesnt care, well if you dont care i dont care, not the only game on the block.

Stupid fract fiasco and no one WvW’s anymore .

I didnt buy GW2 to PvE

Doubt ill be coming back

Honestly the ONLY reason i bought GW2 was for the 3 sided WvW that was billed as the next DAOC.

Im not interested in killing ai mobs, im not interested in grinding dungeons or “farming” loot/pixels forhours/days/months..

I just want to WvW.

Is there any fixes/work coming to WvW at all?

ANET had their chance, they lied and dragged their feet so i moved to Planetside 2.

Anet obviously didnt want my money,.

Nah, most players i talk to would rather be WvWing.

They feel they are forced into grinding out fract over and over and over and over so they can get their shinies to comepete in WvW.

Do you honestly believe people are doing fotm dungeon 20-30 times a day cause its fun?………………..or just to get the garbage over with ?

What sucks is not that folks aren’t playing as much; but the fact that you and I and others… aren’t in the treadmill.

Gear grind of this type… its a major turn off not just for pvp but for the whole game. Hell, I work for a living. I can’t commit to 30-40 hours a week to grind gear. When you know you can’t compete…why bother playing at all?

Not having a legendary… I could live with… or 100% exotics… rough… but now ‘Ascended’ appears to be a second step above where I am now. Being one foot down I could live with and still have fun. But at two steps down… unlikely

Ya i actually play 4-5 hrs a day but im not going to spend my time pveing some stupid dungeon for gear, been there done that.

I just want to play WvW, only reason i bought this game.

For the record, precursors don’t go for 2-300 gold anymore. I think the most expensive one on the TP is around 180g.

I have been playing 3 months and dont have ANYWHERE near 180 gold…

I think its insane people have that much gold, obviously people are buying gems with real money.

This new dungeon grind is killing WvW and im on a huge T1 server, SBI

I can log into EB without a que since dungeon grind was introduced.

Is this a PvE game or a WvW/PvP game?

I didnt buy GW2 to PvE. if i wanted to PvE I would play “that other game” who does it 1000% times better.

Played DAOC for 7 yrs and a string of failed MMO’s we have all played, lol.

Is the Ranger a DPS class or something else?

I think its only fair to the new people coming into GW2 that you be honest with them and let them know Ranger is a support class (healing spring, spirits etc)

Ranger is NOT a DPS class, if it is, its pathetic!

Playing my Level 80 warrior and thief is hilarious in comparison to my Ranger DPS wise.

Those of us here already know we were lied to and no changes are coming, but atleast be honest with the newbies so they don’t waste their time leveling up a DPS class that is horribad.

The warrior is a better ranged class than the “Ranger”, how sad is that…

I find it hilarious a Ranger is a DPS class…

So i was gone for the weekend visiting family and come back to see this..

Some people that were lucky enough to have nothing to do last weekend and open a chest got 1-3 precusors worth 200-300 gold plus all kinds of loot.

Around 50% of people in my guild got atleast one precursor legendary item worth 200 gold.

So because i miss one weekend others have up to 500 gold more than me?

What is this garbage?

DAOC RvR was and is 1000% better than GW2’s. Its not even close. GW2 has no RP system and you cant even see peoples names (hello carebear!)

GW2 was billed and is a PvP/WvW game.

I have always played Ranger type classes in every MMO. The bow mechanic is just something i like.

Im not going to type a wall of text here, just keep ti short and to the point….

The Ranger class was weak before the nerf "(the so-called animation glitch) we all know that was a lie, no one noticed any “glitches” it was a nerf.

Most of us held on to some hope from Jon Peters post that good thngs were headed the Rangers way…we got

..50% more damage underwater and some lame fluff we dont want/need.

Ranger class is broken, pets are beyond useless in PvP/WvW…We were lied to twice now, there wont be a third, damage is done.

GW2 isnt the only game on the planet, not even close.

Sure you can delete all these threads on this forum, but there are many many forums were the truth is spoken about games, you cant hide the truth.

GL fellow Rangers that are staying in GW2, you will need it.

Tutleling is simply horrible design and terrible gameplay.

It turns off new players and makes WvW extremley cheesy and boring.

Try Eternal Battleground Jumping Puzzle PvP, plenty of 1v1 and small group skirmishes go on in there. In my opinion, the most fun PvP in GW2 so far.

WvW is a HUGE zergfest that normally involves pounding on empty keep doors.

Who cares what gear your wearing? I roll WvW on my level 20ish alts..

Lets not pretend GW2 has some fantastic Group RvR action going on where gear actually matters.

Its zerg vs zerg 99.99999999999999999% of the time.

You cant have a SUPER CASUAL game and e-sport at same time.

You cant see enemy names, there is NO reward like rp’s to keep you playing, so why do it?

PvP servers are the most fun i ever have in these games.

Mordred on DAOC was a blast, the PvE was fun too because you could go to all 3 worlds. The excitement and watching your back while pving made it alot of fun.

Killing AI fake mobs is UTTERLY boring to me.

But…most people are carebears in MMO.s nowdays, god forbid someone die.

What good is a pet in WvW/PvP when they cant even hit on the run, how lame is that

I have been 80 for quite awile, have about 5000 kills in WvW so i know what im talking about…

The pets are pretty much useless in WvW or PvP…

so….

Please make a “petless” route viable, please dont say “well they have a pet so we cant buff this”

Because the pet is ONLY worthwhile in PvE, once we are 80, who cares about the pet.

PvE is non existant in this game anyway.

You cant even farm in this game because of DR.

Wheres the PvE at? leveling to 80 through hearts and some dungeons no one does?

People play this game for the WvW not the pve, they will never beat wow’s pve, ever.

Pretty good writeup, agree with alot of what you said.

WvW needs alot of work for this game to survive, they need to do it pretty quick because players never wait around for things to improve they just move on to the NEW game.

I watched conan, warhammer, aion, swtor all pretty much go to the curb because the game had “potential” but devs didnt act fast enough.

Unfortunatley this thread will probably just be locked and nothing will be changed, just another game that had “potential”

Rangers are without a doubt the worst class in the game.

I got more kills on my level 8 thief in WvW last night than i ever did on my level 80 Ranger in full exotic, how sad is that?

Orbs are really stupid anyway, they should seriously take take them out of the game.

Dyno leveling is incredibly boring to me in any MMO.

I play GW2 for WvW mainly and some PvP on the side.

I never understood the PvE solo types, i can play Skyrim for that kind of stuff.

I really just want to grind some mobs and be done with it

leveling my first 80 (shelved Ranger) was fun, now not so much, there just isnt enough people around at oddball hours to do events and the same areas/hearts is extremley boring to me, been there, done that sort of thing.

I think we def need a alternate way of leveling alts up, places to grind mobs out instead of running around the world doing stuff we already did.

PvE rangers are pretty good cause the pet can tank.

In PvP/WvW Rangers are almost useless.

Why would i go around for 100% map completion, that sounds incredibly stupid and boring to me.

I bought Gw2 to PvP/WvW.

I wander around and do silly solo stuff in Skyrim.

People that are all happy about Gw2’s lack of content are the anti-social soloers who wander around clicking <F> on vistas.

The rest of us simply want something are time to do after 80, GW2 isnt the only game around ya know..
