Still think to be honest, that the new one is in a worse worse spot than even the 90% treshold, reasoning: Any condi class will apply more than 1condi/1sec… which then easilly pushes it under 75% and its useless. And a power build just brings us instantly under, and doesnt even need the cleanses. Its just awful.
Considering you’re hugging air most of the times, you’ll take the air reduced cd and increased prec in air, cause there’s no other trade there except cc = increased damage… but since most mobs got breakbars n whatever not, lets ignore that for a second. Saying im full zerker ascended with 0 bonus prec on rune, sigils or any like that, I end up at 58.80% crit chacnce in air. “n other words, Critical Chance is 0% when Precision is 916, and increases by 1% for every 21 Precision above that” taking that for using discipline banner. 170/21 = rounded 8.10%. (66.90%). then you probably will have a spotter druid (as far, using normally I would have so counting that) 150/21 = rounded 7.10% (74.00%) so you need to get 6% crit chance somewhere without a single point transferred from berserker to say assassin. Counting fury ofc (94.00%) 3 options: some nourishment, utility food or fire signet. Another thing to keep in mind is that you’ll probably use the minor: 7% of prec = ferocity. So probably taking a bit more of prec isnt that bad either. But without some allies or considering stuff, yes, you would transfer some/more power to get the 100% crit. But in the end I still think its worth it over a few more power
Most people here are talking about PvP, that’s the game mode eles where are going to be in trouble come next balance patch. What you said here is irrelevant.

So yes, in pvp its pretty useless, on the pve side, its a great buff.

Considering that diamond skin is Preeettty much useless at this point with that change. reasoning: Power builds dont need or rule around condis and Condi builds will apply more than 1condi/sec even as “steady”. Also whilst having 2-3condis on you and some raw dmg, it will drop you very quickly under 75% and make it fully useless as well. It just wont ever work, its not a “buff” as some say, its just made near 100% useless. The old diamond skin should’ve never been a thing, but sadly its the sole trait that kept ele viable in tpvp tho, imagine or try some teamfights without diamondskin or try some 1v1’s on point with anything condi related.
Well, I might be wrong, but considering you can get 100% crit chance easilly and as to quote “At level 80, every 15 points of ferocity adds 1% to the character’s critical damage”, its more than 10% dmg at 100% crit chance, which with air being mostly active in pve, it is. As for pvp, it doesnt make much of a change, considering overal it will only be a 8% dmg-ish on full offensive specs…-ish. Only my 2 cents, might be wrong tho :p
it doesnt crash me, but disconnects me from the instance, I dont seem to disconnect anywhere else in the open world really.
Imo, I would also go with a lightning rod build if running earth shield, tho outside some playfullness on staff or d/f lrod… it kinda gets worse for non-lrod and offensive uses. Whilst earth shield is pretty good for dueling atm (block n invul + dodges can cover A long time of “no dmg” (and can lure stealthed enemies into attacking so you know where they are)) it will get worse and worse the more enemies you’re facing as everything on the earth shield also has either higher cast time (#4 is 1s+ or forces you to go full melee range to get effective (auto/#3). Tho if I were to suggest a build for earth shield its either: Fire 113/Air 223/arcana 221 Arcana shield, lightning flash and earth shield. Or air 223, water 111, arcana 221 and run armor of earth, lightning flash and earth shield for a slightly more defensive version. (Also as a reminder, do not use fear runes with lrod as it bugs out lightning rod!!!!) My thoughts and knowledge on running around with earth shield in duels/tpvp.

Cyclone is blockable, when tooltip shows its unblockable. it does however spam the skill on a person who’s blocking, filling up your screen with “Blocked” or stripping all blocks if stacks.

http://gw2skills.net/editor/?vFAQJBIhdSfJUgJWhJ4fJwHBW2AM37af9wSsCuAVghHQA4CC-TJRHwAEeAA82fAwJA4YZAA I played this in tpvp aaaand it actually worked, playing the support purely for teammates and still able to 1v1 pretty decently (even tho dmg is way lower) buuuut, d/d just does it better really than tempest does currently (they dont have an 8k aoe heal in a singular skill tho :P) So ye, its about this for me to run, until they “help” tempest at least be up to par to somewhat underrated specs, just now its mainly death with waiting 5sec and casting 5sec everywhere.
Lightning rod is bugged for me, it stops doing its part after some time in a match, meaning no dmg, no weakness application anymore. I have no idea what causes this bug, as it worked fine before the fix patch last week and didnt find any solution either. Hope anyone else has a fix for this, or maybe like something related to this?

You crash when watching some1’s build in an arena (template button thingy). sooo ye… basically as far as I got without crashing constantly, crash constantly when trying to view some1’s build.
I’m soooo saaad, no1 mentioned foostivoo! Its defo my favourite, really rare to see one besides mine, it sings! (well hums) and is just a cute lil quaggan! Ill just leave his 1st of april 2014 form :P
I didn’t mention foostivoo because I’m bitter that I didn’t buy the Wintersday minis the first year.
But, that shouldnt make you bitter about his cuteness! Besides ye, only reason I got him is cause I spent most of my money during wintersday in-game on those boxes and got it within a reasonable amount xD (well, 3 green minis that could be forged into him)

Hello fellow 1v1ers, pvpers and just random people scrolling by! Recently my custom arena, the 1v1 king of the hill [Angz] has been getting quite a lot of donations by all of the people who play there often, joined recently or just were randomly joining in it. Most of the people who join the arena tend to be nice people and have quite nice chats and duels with other people, making random new builds and fun experiences in general. My arena has been alive for ever since they released custom arenas and I would like to thank all of the people who keep returning, playing and having fun in there. A big thank you as well to all people who donated and helped to keep server running and even personal donations to me! I enjoy being the admin over one of the best running arenas in the game (EU) and love to keep doing that job, listening to everyone who has their ideas over rules and ideas and just enjoying the 1v1 arena just like all people who join. I wanted to post for a while a thank you, but decided to wait as we were getting closer n closer to 1 year of arena time. And guess what? we finally hit 1 year! So thanks again all of you and hope to see you in-game, in the arena or somewhere else!

Still bugged as of new patch, without anything changed.
Custom Arenas have been buggy for a while now, commands not working properly and wrong spawns and etc. As of recently, whilst messing around with some of it, I figured its way more broken than it looks like. First of all, even when rank progressions is disabled, it still activates rank up points and reward track stuff. This is quite important in the next case.
As of last patch, I’m unable to properly “move to spectate” and “kick” people when needed, in fact, it doesn’t work at all. Whilst messing around I found out that it does still have functionallity tho. If you try to kick/move to spectate someone whilst being a spectator, it does nothing. If you join the game and try it, it does nothing… except if the person you’re trying it on is on your follower’s list or friends list. When this is the case, kicking works as normally, however… move to spectate causes the person you use it on to forcefully switch team. In case of my 1v1 arena, if I try to move to spectate the person on the other team, it forces him on my team. So first breaking thing is that it surpasses the limit of 1 person per team and 2ndly it puts him not in spectate but forces him to switch teams. After the move to spectate has been hit, more weird stuff happens. It allows everyone from the spectator group to join the specific team the person who was “moved to spectate”, breaking limits from 10 on 1 team (as shown in screen). This makes it able to have 10+vs1. Not only does it break the limit of 10 (as 10v10 is the maximum) it also keeps giving rank up points and reward track points. It fixes itself when a new game starts, but is beyond broken when current game is active.
Also, what makes me wonder more is, why are the kick/move to spectate disabled in spectator and why is it disabled on any person that is not in the follower/friends list? As this makes it unable to behave my arena properly when it is needed. Hope this clears up a bit.
Still having the same issues and it’s really annoying to try and contain your arena if something does happen. No1 else with this issue? (owners of arenas)
As of today I noticed something with being the admin in my Custom Arena. Someone was breaking the rules, so tried to move him to spectate, but couldn’t. After that tried to kick him, but couldn’t do either. I can however still use tournament commands like “/gameend”. I wonder if more people have this issue or if this is already a known bug. As it really is making me unable to keep my arena under control. Thanks!

Well… out of combat a jump is less far than a dodge jump, tho a jump with swiftness is further than a dodgejump. In combat the dodgejump keeps the same distance as out of combat dodge jump.
Hmmm, reworked my ele’s outfit some while ago, but never got to the point to post it again.
And ironically enough, no ele utility will make it to the top 10 xD
but since it’s a blast, aren’t people gonna be near the blast if they need the aura. Tho yes, you wont get buff benefits. Besides i like the idea, but having the revival glyph is also amazing at certain points, so would rather have glyph of elemental power to be reworked in this way xD.
I even wonder where this build is made for, assuming its for pve, 30/0/0/30/10 is pretty much good usable, run it always on my ele and love the 2.450 raw POWER. + with s/d and the XI in fire, 1minute of fury for whole party if rotating well. Tho for pvp, fire is a bit lackluster since it gives us no survivabillity and getting into fire traitline wastes other more usable traitline spots. (besides, im a fan of conjures (even tho they’re quite weak at certain points) so running 30 fire in pve allows me to take conjurer trait for if it’s needed.)

Hmmm completed all of them with 30/0/0/30/10 + mightstacking obviously. Had to switch from s/d to s/f sometimes, but yea it was a fun time in there

You need to lure the clones into the light-vortexes to get orbs, use the orbs 3times on her to remove her shields then she’ll go melee-attacking you and spawns her one-shot aoe more often. Keep your dodges and use invulnerabillity skills if you have them and cant dodge. did it in like 2hours

Actually tested out with a friend of mine, there are traits of those that work on disabled enemies. (ice bow + hammer mastery for example)
So…. we have the trait tempest defence which gives us 20% more dmg on stunned foes and knocked foes… but why doesn’t it apply to all disables like the warrior trait for example? Just find it a bit weird… could make so many fun builds with it on my ice bow in pvp for dueling n so

Why would they wanna fix what they broke theirselves? Nah on serious point tho… A-net made our mobility from RTL worse because we would flee in and out all the time, but now we cant chase or run away from anything. So dont nerf the only mobility we have on an elite which we can share… Tho ye, eles have crap mobility but still love the profession since betas <3
Main thing with t4 is that you cant survive with the veterans on you. Completed it with a 5-man guild party and i loved the difficulty on this <3. But yea, better fight out of the veterans by the rock and pull the lil stealers.
If still got time, you can try with a warrior… it wasn’t working 100% but would break stun randomly sometimes.
Cleansing Fire: Removed the hidden stun-break functionality from this skill.

Cleansing fire didnt get his stunbreak removed fully, it would still break certain cc’s (stuns in particular). And the updates are at the site in front-page.
