When the sun raises in the west and sets in the east is the day that precursor crafting will be released. Face it it’s not happening anytime soon. You should grind for your precursor like I had to for all three of mine.

I don’t like bashing Anet because I love this game and have played since launch. But in my opinion they have handled precursor crafting terribly. I have crafted two legendaries and have had to buy the precursor for both of them. I am working on my third which just happens to be twilight. I have almost 800g and thought I was getting close to dusk so I am a bit frustrated. I have accepted long ago I will never get a precursor drop.

The living story has failed to entertain me so far. It seems like just a bunch of busy work that I finish fairly quickly. I am willing to give it another shot and oddly enough have high expectations for the new living world season. The content that I want is new dungeons that are both rewarding and challenging. Think underworld/fissure of woe in gw1 that is what I am talking about. I also want new exciting areas to explorer that is not a dumb balloon. Can the living story deliver these things? So far it has not so in my opinion an expansion would be the best thing for me.

Sorry but this patch will make me want to gear check even more. I can’t carry dead weight builds anymore. I know this makes me a horrible person and an elitist jerk but I really don’t care. When I am farming for my third legendary gold per hour is more important to me than anything else in a dungeon run. I have no problem with people running non zerker builds but I don’t want them in my group especially now. I understand what a kitten that makes me sound like.

Raising the difficulty without changing the rewards makes this an automatic fail. Good Job Anet!

I am getting close to 500 fractals and was wondering why there was not a title to show this off? It takes a long time to reach this and to be honest I want to show it off. It just seems like the perfect thing to have a title for.

My main is a charr warrior and I named it Canadian Charr. I get compliments on it a lot even though it is a bit silly. Charrnadian might be a funny one too

My home server since launch has been Fort Aspenwood so be warned my opinion is slightly bias. Well we just won Silver league and our wvw community has improved greatly over the last few months in my opinion. You should guest over to FA’s lions arch because 9 times out of 10 there is an absurdly funny conversation going on. I really can’t tell you how many times I have caught myself literately laughing out loud. But honestly you can’t really miss with any of those four servers

I don’t understand this chest. I am actually a little bit angry about their laziness. I think they could have added a couple simple things that would’ve made most people happy. I wasn’t one of the people that were expecting a precursor or an ascended weapon from this chest. But Anet put a mystery key as the meta reward this gave a lot of people the impression that they reward was something that they had to get or they would be missing out on something possibly awesome. At least that is how I felt. I think they could have made that dolyak finisher be permanent I am not sure whose stupid idea it was to make that limited this would be the exclusive reward for the winners of their leagues. All meta chests should have contained 500 badges of honor, that mini pet, couple rares, a random exotic(It could be anything including very rarely a precursor), 10k karma, and some seige blue prints. I think that would’ve made a lot of people feel rewarded and happy without the reward being overkill.

Anyone who transferred to a higher tier server for the reward is a moron. But this chest reward was bullkitten and the key was an absolute troll move by Anet. Why didn’t they just have the Meta reward for completing the season 1 achievements just be the mini dolyak and not a dumb mystery key that turns out to opens up a horrible chest? It was a shady way to get people to play wvw. I play wvw for fun and will continue to do so but even I have to admit I have a very bitter taste in my mouth right now. At least they should’ve made the kittening finisher be permanent and given some wvw tokens. I wasn’t expecting much but I think they dropped the ball and kitten ed a lot of people off

I am with the OP. I only play warrior in both PVE and WVW because I wanted to raceroll any jabroni that was dumb enough to make a different class. But maybe this was the attitude that Anet wanted to fix because I really do feel like in a 1v1 fight against a class that is not another warrior I will win about 80% of the time and to be honest I am not even close to the best player. I do think that the nerf is a little bit overkill especially since I am very close to crafting juggernaut

I understand the complaints about the patch but I have honestly enjoyed it so far. I think it needs a bit of polish because I have had to restart a fractal because the Aetherblade fractal is bugged and doesn’t always finish after the end boss. It was very frustrating and if there are trying to get fresh meat into fractals it is not a good first impression. The T3 human armor update is really lazy and not well thought out, actually all of the new armor sets are lazy but that one is shady. Wow I was going to praise this update but my fingers went on a rant of negativity. Now that I have thought more about it i’ll give this update a 6.5 out of 10. Fix the bugs and get on the damage control about the T3 light human armor and I would rank this update at a 9 out of 10

I play warrior as my main and I got to admit I have been beaten by a necro 1v1 only once. And it felt like a fluke when it happened. In my opinion they are the weakest in 1v1 situations by far and maybe that is something that they need to fix.

My conclusion is that the Tower of Nightmares was a boring update and I honestly wouldn’t mind if they just scraped the whole thing

I recently purchased 5 20 slot uncommon bags from the fractals in the mist vender. The problem with these bags is the inventory will not compact with these bags. I am not sure if this is a glitch or working as intended but it is extremely inconvenient and annoying to have to manually organize my inventory.

Okay here is one of my biggest pet peeves in dungeons is people who skip the Risen on the steps in P2 and P3 of COE. Like why skip them? It will take 1 minute tops to kill them and they drop good loot which is why most people run dungeons in the first place,

Another one that bothers me is people who get a precursor as a drop and than ping it in party chat. That is an automatic group kick if you do that in a group with me. Like who the heck do you think you are? I had to buy my precursor so my spitefulness won’t allow me to be happy for you.

What is some of your pet peeves while you’re running dungeons?

I agree I don’t want to have to grind for ascended armor and grind for legendary armor a few months down the road. Maybe have a way to upgrade ascended armor into legendary armor?

I have been hearing a lot of talk about legendary armor lately. Is this a confirmed thing or are people just talking? To be honest I am the exact type of person that will “have” to grind and get this. So I am kinda hoping that it is just a rumor so I don’t feel obligated to grind and get it. Two legendaries is more than enough grind to last me a lifetime. I know my issue is self imposed

I really want some kind of explanation from A-Net on why they had to nerf karma as badly as they did. I think that a nerf was necessary but they went to far with it. I think the karma nerf to dailies, failed events, monthlies, and the karma boosters was the perfect way to nerf karma. But they went too far when they also nerfed Karma from dungeons. They kind of did this nerf with no real warning, the only warning they gave was that karma boosters will no longer effect jugs of karma. Kinda screwed up my timetable on my second legendary so I am a little annoyed

I am currently also taking a break from the living story. Sometimes it is nice for me to just chill out and run a dungeon, a fractal, or work towards a second legendary. The SAB and the Teq update were both great in their own way and a lot of people love the content but it is simply not for me. I tried the Teq fight and I hated how everyone was blaming each other and being bossy little kittenes. It was the same situation as the scarlet invasions. I am excited for the Twilight Harbor patch though and will get back on the LS train for that. But I agree with the op taking a break from the living story when it feels suffocating is a great thing!

Ecto salvage rates have bugged in the past. I don’t know why people think it’s so far fetched for it to happen again. I don’t think anet ninja nerfed ecto rates but it’s possible that it’s bugged. I and many others in my guild think something may be up. I know rng is rng so it’s hard to say if rates are truly down.

I don’t like game bashing because I love this game and have spent an entire year playing it but this update totally sucks in my opinion. The fight itself is really fun but I don’t like having to camp teq just to avoid overflow. The overflow for this type of thing is bullkitten so no I don’t want to see more fights like teq until they fix their overflow system. It feels an awful lot like waiting around to have fun which is something guild wars 2 wanted to avoid.

If the op was specific with what he wanted which it sounds like he was than those people that don’t meet his requirements shouldn’t join his group. If he doesn’t want to teach a group a dungeon and just wants to get through it quickly than that’s perfectly okay.

Okay here is my opinion if you are going for sunrise than I would keep it 100% but otherwise I would sell it. The demand for legendarys seem to be very high right now. You don’t want to wait until a date for precursor crafting is announced because you’d likely be leaving money on the table. Plus you don’t know if there be new legendary greatswords or not. I’d say the market will likely crash for dawn. You might miss the peak if you sell now so it’s a tough call but I say sell.

I have been looking for new ways to spice up wvw for myself. This sounds like a lot of fun thanks op!

Anet wants you to purchase more bank space. /thread. But honestly the only mat I am having trouble with is bloodstone dust. I fill up a stack of that stuff way to fast. I have an alt whose only job is to hold that stuff. I can’t bring myself to delete it

The biggest problem I can see with race changes in game is cultural armor sets. Like would they just automatically changed to that other races armor or would you have humans in t3 charr armor? Maybe this isn’t an issue but it seems like it would be to me

If I had to guess I’d say ascended armor will be obtainable using Karma. This won’t be the only way to get it because there will be crafting but I think Anet is going to give multiple ways to get ascended armor. To be fair to Anet karma did need nerfed it was way to easy to get with the dailys, monthlies, dungeons, and champ boxes.

Okay I could give you the “play what you want” crap but I’d be honest if you want to run dungeons or fractals you are going to want a Warrior,Guardian, or Mesmer. Yes this is the Meta and its not always correct but in a lot of people’s brains this is the best dungeon team.

I have a legendary and let me just warn you that it is a massive grind. Some advice I would not farm for an individual crafting material it is a huge waste of time because of the low drop rates. I would join the frostgorge sound or Orr champ farm trains. If you don’t care about your magic find selling the blues and greens you get on the trading post will be very profitable right now. I wish you luck on your quest for a legendary.

@Weindrasi 8/10. I like your armor its very unique and I don’t see it much but I am not a huge fan of how skinny you’re. I guess thats what you are going for so I like it!

Here is my Charr warrior. My armor is T3 cultural armor. My dyes are Celestial, Ruby, and Redemptive. My goal was to match my Sunrise which wasn’t easy but I think I found something that matches decently.
