I fully agree with a slider option or a way to remove backpieces from the game, as long as I can also have a slider option or a way to remove all toons that do not have any flashy legendaries or backpieces. I think it’s fair, no? You get to remove the shinies. I get to remove the non-shinies. I like it when things are fair.

I don’t mind so much as bad matchups so much as the 4vs5. It’s nearly impossible to win. It needs to be fixed ASAP. i was in a match eariler where we had 450 / 500 in a 4 vs 5. It REALLY sux.

I am setting up a custom arena with default setting but everytime I want to add a password, it changes to “no progression”. Why does it do that?

The main reason why I spent 200g is to simply play with my friends and not be bothered with the greater pvp community in hotjoin (and the toxicity). What’s the point of having a pw setting if we’re not awarded?

Can someone help out? I am just really confused.

So I have an Infused ascended Royal Signet of Doric, but somehow it does not count towards the acheivement. Is that intended or a bug?

If getting two identical legendary deserve 25ap + Twice-Told Legend title, I think crafting 5 unique legendaries deserves the title of Legendary Collector, at least.

Jade Dragon set will always be my fave. No flashy particles, just really solid design that is beautiful and functional.

The KasJory dialog may have been a bit long but it’s in no comparison to these constant, neverending KasJory complaints I am seeing at every single LS update. With recent megaserver change, we have been recruiting more players from various worlds into the guild but they seem to be unable to access the guild bank or get any rewards for participating in guild missions…

I had the Bear and Quaggan hats equipped on my characters prior to patch and now they disappeared. Did they get erased? Do I need to submit a ticket to get a refund? Were we supposed to unequip all the town clothes prior to patch??? This is very confusing…

We tried doing it in order earlier on the main map but failed at Red Assault Knight. I am not sure what went wrong but felt as if the knight’s HP wasn’t dropping as fast as did with the first two.

Possible reasons:
Bad scaling due to zerg size
Dead people not rezzing
People not being in red circles

I mean… nothing is really flagged as difficult with these Assault Knights so I really dont understand why we can’t kill 3 in 12 mins.

Does anyone know which server consistently succeed at the Assault Knights and Scarlet event. I think I am going to pay the transfer fee and get out of NSP server. I have wasted enough hours trying and seeing the event fail.

Seriously, how difficult is it to kill 3 knights?

Do you know of any servers actively going for Group Effort V on main map? NSP seems happy with their Group Effort II/Group Effort III/mindless zerg/guardian staff spam 1/failed miasma so I am looking for better places to be with better people to hang out.

The game is not trying to push anything but rather seek to include relationships that reflect the world we live in. You are implying that REAL homosexual couples need to be invisible from the mainstream and ANY attempt to bring these issues into the mainstream is considered a “political agenda”.

There was nothing forced about Kasmeer and Marjory being a couple. For months now, there has been very obvious hints dropped here and there. Kasmeer and Marjory are not the first homosexual pairing in GW2 and they probably won’t be.

I just tried a transmutation splitter on another transmuted item and I was able to recover the two items without any difficulty.

So, something definitely went wrong with my Guild Sunderer and Crystal Guardian. Even if I accidently chose the wrong skin the splitter should recover BOTH items. That’s what splitters are for…

I am not mad at them for not writing back the next day. I am mad at their answer. Do people read?

This is what I wrote to Anet when I submitted the ticket. It clearly states that when I used the transmutation stone to get the skin of the Crystal Guardian (celestial stats) on my Guild Sunderer (zerker stats), it did not work. Transmutation Splitters are supposed to be able to split all tramsuted weapons back to their original state.

The problem was obviously not addressed.

This is not an entitlement issue. It’s them completely disregarding a bug.
I would have accepted a “we’re looking into this but due to holidays, there may be some delays”.

And I reported the bug on a work day, not a statuory holiday.

Also note that during the holidays, they were also actively BANNING a lot of people for a linen farm happening in Iron Marshes. So they were working. And frankly, that ban was uncalled for.

That’s right. It wont be long before I stop supporting this game altogether.

After waiting for over 3 days for a ticket I submitted regarding a bug with the Fine Transmutation Stone when using them on the Guild Sunderer with the Crystal Guardian, the transmutation does not happen (Swapping the look of Guild Sunderer for Crystal Guardian) and the item of the desired skin disappears for good. I tried using a splitter to recover the item that was transmuted and that also failed.

In total, I lost 1 Fine Transmutation Stone, 1 Transmutation Splitter, 1 Crystal Guardian

ANet lost 1 loyal gem supporter until they fix their stupid bugs. I am hanging by a thread here and there are other games I’d be more than happy to support.

I like the idea of being a more inclusive community.

There are days where I am not looking for a speed run that will have the following title in LFG: " X dungeon, X Path, newbies welcome". I have done a couple of those and most have been very kind and listened to what I have to say. Seriously, I have done Arah p3 runs where everyone just keeps wiping at Lupi, and p3 is not a 3-hour long run (Edit: It’s also 3-hour long because I do not rage quit and let the newbies decide when they have had enough).

When, I am posting something like “X Dungeon, X Path, please be experienced”, I probably do not have a lot of playtime available and would like to get things done quickly. I would not be in the mood to explain every single detail to newbies. I think it’s ok to refuse someone as long as it’s done respectfully and politely (something that the gaming community lacks (but that’s a whole other issue).

It has happened that noobs join (reflected by their very low AP). The only thing I ask is that they speak up so I know they are new and can at least go over the essential. It’s pretty easy to spot a newbie in a dungeon… them trying to pass off as “experienced” is just another frustration that I do not need.

I don’t believe I should simply accept everyone for the sake of being “inclusive” but I find time to help the community whenever I can or feel comfortable enough to do so.

Not sure why people are complaining. You bought gems and got discounted goods during Black Friday week whereas the rest of the people have been buying gems and exchanging them for goods at their original price.

Seriously, people just whine about everything.

If the new items released during Wintersday are any good, I am sure people will be willing to buy some gems as gifts to their friends or for themselves.

They are not obligated to give anything away for your purchase and it’s really annoying/sad/frustrating reading about people complaining when Anet’s actually GIVING out something.

I am so relieved to log in and to see that they have pulled that cheap T3 armor knock-off the gem store. It seriously hurt to look Charrs and Norns running around with our Prestige armor.

They can add particle effects to Cultural Armors we can buy and add to our existing Cultural Armor but to make them available to all races is simply destroying whatever cultural diversity they have tried to build in the first place.

If all races could wear cultural armors, there would be no point in having cultural armors.

It is simply unacceptable that the T3 Cultural armor are now upgraded with particle effects, sold on the gem store, and is available for all races.

I can understand if they are extremely rare drops but now they just completely messed up the T3 Cultural Light Armor for humans.

Ok, I will be honest and say that I have considered buying spots just to complete that stupid Arah dungeon because pugging path 2 and 4 is a complete nightmare. However, I hesitate and still hesitate because deep down, I know I am probably supporting a really bad habit that people have developped – and that’s kicking players to sell spots.

I think it’s equally disgusting to kick someone after helping them get through 90% of the dungeon and they decided give your spot to a guildie / friend. It’s not the game that’s bad, just people unable to see other players as “people”.

Bla bla bla. I had no problem fighting the spider with my crappy staff ele who was traited in pure healing when i first started running AC and I have no problem with stacking now.

Before the spider stacking thing, everyone would just aoe the tiny spiders at the back of the room. The AOE circles from the boss is easy enough to avoid and dodge unless she immobilizes you.

Stop asking Anet to “fix” it when it is not broken. If you want to kill the spider without stacking, find a group who would be interested in that. Seeing that this sort of thread pops up so often, I am sure you will find people to run it with you.

Urgh, here we go again… Same old trash about berserker builds being better than everything else… I ran CoE with a zerker warrior constantly complaining about the lack of DPS and kept dying every 5 seconds. On the other hand, the two eles, guardian and ranger than no problem staying alive. I wonder what contributes to the lack of DPS – having to rez that warrior who is downed every 5 seconds or just really bad builds on all the rest of us? Hm…

On the other hand, I have played as an Ele with full healing specs and was the last one standing but couldn’t finish off a boss because I was doing next to no damage. I agree that dps is needed.

A more moderate argument is that the best chance of succeeding is to have players who know how to use their builds effectively. So as an Ele, no, I may not be able to dish out insane damage, but I guarantee that I will be stacking those area might combos, frost aura for protection, and handing out fury to everyone so that those who are DPS traited are even more effective.

Ok, so which server is doing Teq and when???? Northern Shiverpeaks is still a failure and i never got my achievements. Most of the active players in my guild has guested but (how nice of them) never actually informed the rest of us who are not always on TS.

Hmm… introduction of unique/rare items to dynamic group events in less populated maps? Re-design how mats drop – help npc / do group events for rare mats? More guild missions?

Yes, there is plenty to work on but I think Anet is aware of that and they are slowly working on it. Remember the time before Ascended crafting? No one really cared about those low-level and mid-level crafting material. At least now, I see a few people gathering nodes in less populated maps.

People have told me how profitable it was to run farm champs in Frostgorge Sound when it started and I did it… maybe 3 times? I had music on and all and I still managed to fall asleep because it was incredibly boring and reading comments on map chat was an insult to my intelligence. So I stopped and ran dungeons instead because I found those much more entertaining. Sure, I made less gold, being a casual player but I usually enjoy them. I found my niche, and I do it. I do not feel the need to run champ farms all day to “stay competitive” and “in the market”. So what if X person has more gold, more mats, more everything than I do? It is not a race. One does not win anything by farming until their life whithers away.

That being said, it would be super interesting to see champs and bosses with anti zerg abilities. Would be interesting to see protection domes or defense mechanisms activating when an X number of players have engaged the boss, and blocking entry to others. No more massive HP pools, ridiculous knockbacks and condition damage. That way, you don’t have to nerf champs loot, you can even start putting more champs in less frequented maps and ppl can start farming there :P I find it problematic that so many players congregate in few, selected maps when there is a whole world there that is left empty.

Let the prices be expensive because I sure as hell do not want everyone to start running around with those weapons.

People who do spend real money should have the “prestige” of owning a nice skin. Besides, you do not have to spend real money on it and you can farm your gold and convert them to gems. They are luxury items, just as in real world, you can get free cheap giveaway pens, or you can spend over 100$ on a Parker plume just because you have the money to blow on things like that.

As an Ele, I love fields. 16 stacks of might? SURE, No problem! Just gotta be careful and time them properly when running in dungeons.

I do not like wiping and restarting for hours on end – and believe me, it has happened. I have no incentive to run a dungeon that could take me twice the time or three times the amount of time…

To be honest, I am usually ready to help a newbie out when I have time and when the ad clearly states that it is their first run. I will usually go through the runs, the boss mechanics and prep them as much as possible so they are ready to tackle the path. I am much less friendly to the ninja noobs who silently make their way into “for experienced players only” group.

I think this has been requested like… FOREVER…

Maybe one day ANet will listen to us? Sure, I do not mind paying 10$ to support the game and buy a skin but at least let us keep it and reuse it.

You are trading your toughness and vitality in a glass build. Don’t complain about downing all the time if you cannot dodge. It’s YOUR build. Own it.

I have ran dungeons with glass warriors complaining about the lack of dps the rest of the team does when he goes down every 5 seconds… not impressed.

Have players been feared right into the plant mines after expertly dodging them and dying, then having to wp back at the beginning and paying another 5g to get to the third floor and then having the exact same thing happen?

I think there’s just way too much going on. The poisons, the constantt CC by enemies, the mines, the turrets… It’s fine for those who constantly want to zerg around with a large group, but if you are stuck in one of those remote overflow and you dont have a choice but to solo the paths, at least downscale the difficulty according to the population in the map.

Overall, do enjoy the verticality of the instance and how there are places to explore. I think the Tower had much more potential but overall, it was a fun first day.

The rewards, as usual, is simply terrible. I have no incentive of running this after the first week when I have completed all the achievements. I want dungeon tokens to make a comeback with new dungeon gears, etc.

I must say I was slightly disappointed with the story. So we learn that Scarlet was the one who pulled the strings to get the Dredge and the Fire Legion together… yawn. How did she do it??? Perhaps a codex system should be placed into the game so that we can at least read up on on the lore.

Whatever happened to the token rewards for completing dungeons? Are these lame chests going to replace them?

If this is not possible, then I request a wardrobe for all the armors I purchase from the gem store.

I love mix-and-matching but currently, I have very low incentive to try things out because 1) I am afraid to destroy a piece of armor 2) extra skins take up bank slots

Bank slots wouldn’t be a problem if I didn’t have to store all unless achievement reward skins that I also feel bad trashing…

In video games, it’s no different. For character design, it’s fairly simple. A vast majority of the player base, especially for RPGs is male, so they make the model the human/human-like (Norn) playable characters after what a typical male might want to look like or partner they might want to “be with”. So, why do men play women in RPGs? There are a number of reasons, even though everyone knows this, one of the main reasons is in MMOs female characters are more likely to get help and more likely to find groups…scantily clad female characters even more so. For me, I’m male, it’s much more simple. I don’t care how I’m dressed, as long as it’s not silly looking I generally equip for stats and rarely group up, but if I’m playing 1st person, I will almost always play a male character, if it’s 3rd person usually female…even with full plate armor. Why? Well, it’s simple, first person feels more like “me” while 3rd person feels more like someone I’m controlling, so if I have to spend hours looking at someone’s behind, it might as well be a girl.

Would GW2 be as successful if the female characters were more covered up? Perhaps, perhaps not, who knows. I think it’s certainly a draw to the game for some. If it bothers you that much, my suggestion is to change you race or play a non-human character such as Asura or Char…problem solved.

So you are suggesting that because sex sells and this is the reality, you simply do not question why the concept of “sex sells” exist, who are the people perpetuating such ideals, and why women’s body are subjected to constant objectification from males?
And sorry, no self-loving mother would teach their daughters to be merely be baby making machines, not in America at least, not when women have fought so hard for equal rights and to be treated equally.

I find that there’s something abhorrently wrong when straight men are given all the skimpy clothes they ever wished for so that they may play “dress their fantasy doll”, where as straight women/gay men aren’t really provided with much options. Try making a female ele with something does not show over 50% of her skin. The only thing I found that I love and still use is the Nightmare Token armor set. Really Anet, for a game that seeks to break the hetero-normative culture that dominates the video game industry, I expect much more from you.

The two times we tried fighting Teq, we failed miserably, as in barely scratched it. I have a feeling that those who are not up to the challenge will simply move on in the following days, and those who are interested in fighting this boss the way it was meant to, will stay for the event.

I have to say, I died a lot, but I wp’ed back and kept trying. The event itself is fun. What kills the event are the masses of dead players waiting for a rez and / or hoping for a free leech on the rewards. This is not going to happen with Teq.

Well if you check on Dulfy.net the “Unique” weapon skin is in fact recolours of the Ascended Weapons. I was hoping for something “unique”, not recycled.

I just got back from work, tried loading up and I am getting an error… I simply cant get into the game.

Currently, they are pretty useless as the way they are.

What if Town clothes came with special “perks” such as special emotes, costume specific dance moves, or town-only boons like swiftness, when equipped? The possibilities are actually pretty endless. I think that would raise the appeal of town clothes and make them more desirable overall.

The devs did warn us that there will be massive changes in the game economy… If you are in a rush to get to 500, then you end up paying more.

I have decided not to spend my gold on getting crafting supplies and simply craft my way up by salvaging and farming nodes.
