I’m just going to list out a few bugs I’ve experienced in the past three days, not even counting bugs that were in the first week of launch that might have been addressed already.

I just completed Auric Basin map on my revenant and received the Revenant’s Cache as the reward, it’s sitting in my bag, but I checked my Glint’s Bastion collection and it is NOT counting towards it. The box that should be lit up for having the Revenant’s Cache is still grayed out.

My revenant is also unable to complete the Verdant Brink map because the hero point in the southwest corner of the map is bugged out. You can kill the mob as many times as you want but it still will not count as being completed.

My elementalist had 100% old world completion when I completed the Verdant Brink map before their “fix” broke that HP, but because of the bug with old world completion, she did not receive any reward. So again, no Elementalist’s Cache to count towards her The North Wind warhorn collection.

My elementalist also completely unlocked Tempest but did not recieve the Machined Warhorn towards The North Wind collection.

I also gave up on finishing the last story quest today on my revenant because when I got to Blighted Canach, he bugged out in invulnerable mode and Canach just stood around doing nothing for five minutes while Blighted Canach was invulnerable.

I do understand it’s an expansion launch and that there are a lot of bugs to deal with, but some of these are taking longer to fix than I would have expected. I also REALLY hope you retroactively reward those who are missing rewards they should have gotten.

When I put a ticket in about these issues the other day I was told to provide screenshots, I did so, and then was told that these are known bugs and to post on the forums.

Have the same issue on my tempest, unable to get the rewards needed to upgrade the warhorn weapon because of no map completion reward.

I have the same issue with the same hero point. It will not show as completed when I attempt it on my revenant, no matter how many times I do it. I put in a ticket and was told by the GM that my issues were known issues and to post on the forums.

It’s ascended, not legendary. You’ve never been able to change the stats on crafted ascended gear.

I was in Silverwastes for around three hours from 0% to full, through four Vinewraths. I didn’t get any, but I did see someone link the portal once. They got it as a drop from a chest during Vinewrath.

Please don’t make this too expensive. I could deal with $30, and I’d even go so high as $40 but more than that is just too much for what we’re getting. It’s not a full game, it’s just an expansion and the content is not as much as the original game.

Making us pay $60 for it would just be greedy. I want to keep playing but I’m not sure I could justify that price if it ends up costing that much.

I sure as hell hope so, because it’s doing it to me too and if it’s something else that isn’t as easily fixed, I’ll be mad and sad.

I’m on HoD, we placed first in silver league. I got no achievement, no chest…nothing whatsoever.

I’m not the only one in my guild with this issue.

Seeing that I was also one who was affected by the daily laurels/crafting cd bug back over Easter and they didn’t give so much as a “sorry” or compensate in any way at all, I WILL go batkitten crazy on them if they don’t fix this tournament reward issue. >.>

Same, I’m also in Virginia with Fios.

Was starting to think it was because my husband was downloading some TV shows, but came here just to check anyways.

I logged off 40 minutes ago and it was fine. o.O

Edit: The fix quoted at the top of this page, adding the line to the hosts file, worked instantly.

Honestly, I tried guardian PvP after playing a lot of it on my necro and I was absolutely awful at guardian. I don’t know if perhaps it just takes a lot of work, or just easier for some people to pick up than others.

If you’ve researched builds and everything on forums and you’re sure you’re using the correct one, it’s just going to take some practice.

BTW, a class having less armor than you do doesn’t mean they should automatically lose to you. This IS balanced in it’s own way. The trade off to being “glassy” is more damage. The trade off for more survivability is that you can’t do as much damage. It’s the way the game works.

As far as mesmers go, there are a couple things you can look for that will make them easier to identify for you.
- Mesmer illusions will always face you, so if you spot one that isn’t facing you for whatever reason, it’s the actual player.
- If you see one of them strafe, run, or dodge roll instead of standing still and auto attacking, it’s the actual player.

I run MM but when I see a warrior with a hammer (I hate them so much), I have to pretty much give up using my second weapon set and try to just kite them with staff and death shroud abilities.

The chill from staff slows them down quite a bit so if you can get some distance you can keep damaging them while staying from enough away from them that they can’t hit you with their melee abilities and can’t leap at you.

I have to take back what I said previously. Today in Temple of the Silent Storm, I ran down to the middle point and started attacking someone…even told my flesh golem to charge him.

First time I witnessed him just chilling on the hill and looking off into the sunset while I got beat on. >.>

I have a couple of questions regarding armor.

Basically, I am ready to start crafting some ascended armor for myself…I even have enough mats for the first piece, but I’m still completely undecided on what gear prefix to use.

I have been playing my necromancer for roughly 1-2 months and it’s by far my favorite character, but I’m still pretty fresh when it comes to trying out different specs and armor.

I love tPvP, and I play MM there and so I’m pretty much using a power based spec there. I tried some condition specs and absolutely hated them.

I also love WvW, and I’ve been using a well-based backline zerg spec. I have points in the Curse tree, and have been a bit confused as to armor so I have rabid armor and weapons and after trinkets went account bound I moved what I had for ascended trinkets over to my necro, and they’re all berserker. Does this count as a power/condi hybrid? TBH I’m not even sure my conditions are making that much of a difference in the WvW zergs I run in.

Should I try out a pure power wellomancer spec and see if perhaps I like it better? I don’t currently have berserker or knight armor, and I feel as if I can’t really try that out in tPvP just to try the spec since the armor has basically been removed there.

I don’t currently do dungeons/fractals but there is the possibility that I may get into doing them at some point.

I’m basically stuck on what armor prefix I should aim for when I craft my ascended armor now and I could use some advice. :P

I’ve never had a problem with another necro. Another MM can take awhile to kill but I do eventually.

I could see how a condi COULD be painful, if they don’t blow all their condis on you at once before you CC them off, and reapply them after…but IDK.

Always use a dagger as mm… Dagger/WH + Staff 20/0/30/20/0 is the way to be.

I love MM for sPvP and it seems the build you’re using is more my style, but I’d always love a few tips. I can’t live without my staff.

anet doesnt owe anyone anything. this is a game, not a necessity and anet is a company, so should act like one. yes i do think we deserve compensation but just like any other product you and i purchase, if the quality or customer service is terrible you attempt to get what you think you deserve by asking, NOT attacking. if not then u move on and dont do business w/ them anymore. stop demanding and just ask, no need for this useless blaming.

While that may be true, a good company that wants to keep their customers happy and expects those customers to continue to do business with them in the future (ie. gem purchases in our case) should really at least attempt to do something to make it up to those customers when something has gone terribly wrong like this.

I don’t think many of us are asking for much…just what we lost due to their mistakes. Scheduling such a large patch the week before a long holiday weekend was possibly the dumbest thing they could have done.

Only problem I’ve run into with people killing my minions, honestly, has been mesmers abusing the moa bug.

I’m using the same spec (4/0/6/4/0) and I pretty much never have a problem with a 1v1. They either blow up and die easily if they’re not using a bunker spec, or they use a bunker spec and it comes to if I can wear them down before one of their teammates shows up. If there are 2, then you call for help and try to survive until your own team comes to help (you usually can if you’re not made of glass).

Personally, I’m using a soldier’s amulet, runes of speed (this is personal preference as I have all my skills set as minions and I despise being slow so this is how I gain the speed to move around), and sigils of force and bloodlust. Staff and dagger/dagger.

I don’t hotjoin. I pretty much only solo queue arenas, and the spec is amazing for it. I’m not saying that if you’re fresh to PvP that you’ll do great against a dragon rank, but everything is all mixed up right now and there are lots of other new players in PvP as well.

Staff is excellent for keeping melee off of you, you drop the mark at their feet and they generally can’t avoid it, trigger it and get crippled/chilled/etc. and you can kite them as you kill them. Especially good for keeping hammer warriors away, given our biggest weaknesses as a class are the lack of stability and mobility.

We all do, but it’s not likely to happen.

We just have to put our money where our mouth is and not buy anything from the gem store so they get the point that this type of behavior is not okay if you want to keep a customer base.

Well that certainly didn’t do ANYTHING. Still broken. Still won’t reset. Five days now.

Every single time I kill another necro in tPvP, I get “stuck” and have to /sit to get unstuck. Very inconvenient when you’re still fighting other people and can’t move or dodge.

No idea why it’s just other necros that make me get stuck when I kill them.

I think it is top priority. But keep in mind, that it is easter and the devs are at home with their familys and for most people the problem started at friday, only a few (including me) reported this bug already on thursday/wednesday. I guess, when easter is over, it will get fixed asap.

One would hope…and yet still, we won’t get compensated for missing out on five days of this occurring.

I’d like to have my lost laurels and ascended crafting materials back, please.

I’ve been playing with minions a bit now that I got some time to play, and honestly I don’t see where the issue is. They act just like they have for months and months, you don’t even need to hit the target to get them to aggro, you can just wave your dagger around from 500 feet away and they still run there. I’ve never had them do absolutely nothing, at worst they’re just a little bit slow to change/reacquire aggro.

I just wanted to say you’re not the only one…I’ve read the multiple threads of people complaining about their responsiveness, but I run MM in tPvP and the flesh golem in my “roam around the world” PvE spec and while they’re occasionally a little slow to respond, I’ve never had them just sit there and do nothing.

Maybe it’s just playing pet classes in other games that I’ve become used to pet handling and going “Where the heck did my pet go?” sometimes (never had this issue in GW2 though), but it’s not bothered me in this game yet.

You should be able to kill other things, or revive nearby npc’s, to get credit for the heart, but it takes a lot longer. I do not remember that one in particular, though, so that may not help, but many hearts are having issues.

No, you can’t. The only other mobs in the area are regular spiders that don’t count for credit and there are no dead npcs, unfortunately.

The heart quest in Iron Marches in Hellion Forest, “Fight life-stealing minions in Hellion Forest.” is completely bugged out.

You are supposed to talk to displaced spirits and help them recover their bodies and fight ghosts/shades that are attacking them. Not only do the few spirits that you can talk to do nothing but stand there after talking to them (instead of walking to their bodies), but most of the spirits are standing in mid-air in the trees where you cannot reach them.

Please fix! Trying to work on map completion.

Night 1 when it bugged: I was logged in in the Grove (megaserver map)
Night 2: I was logged in in Gendarren Fields (non-megaserver) hoping that it would unbug, but it did not
Night 3 (tonight): I was NOT logged in at reset and when I logged in I was in Gendarren Fields, it did NOT unbug

I’m still upset about missing laurels but less so than missing out on my ascended crafting cooldown for three days…especially for a tailor this is a real problem.

I agree with a few of the more well thought out responses here.

I’m less irritated about the thought of the loss of a week’s worth of laurels and ascended crafting materials than I am about the fact that they carelessly scheduled this patch right before a holiday weekend without thought to how many bugs might occur.

More irritated that they then basically say “Sorry we CBA to work the holiday weekend to fix this” and that we likely will NOT be compensated for what we lose.

If they compensated us for this, I would just say, go ahead and enjoy your holiday. o.O I just very much doubt that is going to happen.

Until you put out some AOE and realize that those millions of illusions all die in pretty much an instant, even without the mesmer shattering them?

Get rid of the illusions before they shatter them.

How, exactly, is a MM build the worst build on the worst class?

I’ve been playing sPvP with one and pretty much destroying every other class 1v1, while able to bunker points 1v3 until help shows up, if not managing to kill 2 or all 3 of them in the meantime.

Granted, queueing solo arena is going to give a lot of low ranking/new players right now…but depending on what OP and his friend are going to be doing, shouldn’t his friend be able to try out all the options and choose what he likes best?

Or do you just think a new player would not have the skill for it?

I’ve managed to not bug out on this reset. As speculated, megaserver seems to be at the root of the issue, so I’ve made sure to not be on a megaserver map at the moment the daily reset happened. Might be just a coincidence, and a small comfort to those already bugged for the day, but it’s worth trying at the next reset.

- Daily: reset normally at 0/5 and I got full reward once completed.
- World bosses: finally getting full reward from them.
- Ascended ecto refinement: working as it should again.

Only thing I haven’t tested is dungeons, because it’s past 3AM in Europe and I’d rather not try my luck pugging at this hour, but I suspect that’ll give rewards as it should, too.

After night 1 when I was in the Grove and it bugged out, I made sure I was in Gendarran Fields on reset tonight and it was STILL bugged. Tomorrow I will try just not being logged on at all. >.>

Just realized my dailies not resetting is also applying to my ascended crafting mats cd.

Now I’m even more infuriated since I’ve been working on making the mats for ascended armor.

How about you compensate us the laurels we’ll miss out on and some bolts of damask as well. >.>

Tonight is the second night my dailies have not reset, so the second laurel I’ll be missing out on, and now I’m reading that I’m going to basically miss out on a full week of laurels because the dev team cannot be bothered to fix their mistakes in due time?

Are you going to compensate people for the laurels they are unable to get because of your mistakes, Anet?

All of those can obviously be changed up but they are working just fine for me.

Are you talking about sPvP or WvW, and what is your “style”?

I looked through the new build thread posted here and found one to fit me. Minion master is pretty much completely slaughtering everyone in sPvP for me right now, and I’ve heard other people mention it’s strength a few times.

1v1, no problem…killing up to 1v3s with it depending on their profession. PU mesmers and some variations of engineer can be difficult/irritating but still doable.

Have the devs even acknowledged this issue yet? I woke up expecting it to be fixed by now and they haven’t even issued a statement saying they know it’s going on and will fix it?

I’m having the same issue…

Last night my dailies did not reset at the reset time, they instead displayed 00:00 until reset, but logging onto another toon fixed the issue.

Today, my dailies did not reset at all. I was logged in, in the Grove at reset time, and this time logging on a different toon or relogging does not fix the issue. The time remaining displays correctly as if I have finished them for the day but I have not, they are still the same completed 5/5 dailies from yesterday.

Please fix this…I really need my laurels.

Say you have a nice exotic on, but you don’t like the look of it and prefer the look of that piece of blue armor in your bag. Are you going to wear the blue piece around instead of the exotic which has much better stats?

Not likely. Instead, you will unlock the skin of the blue armor so that you can use it on the exotic armor with a transmutation charge and thus use the look you like on the armor with the better stats.

Still a total beast. (Essentially same build as pre-patch, but Frailty and Energy additions)

Frailty I suspect to be pretty under-rated. It often gives vuln, so it covers my Chills/Immobs very frequently, and gives damage to all of my pets. Leeching keeps me up as well as helps take enemies down quicker. CC lock and win, no biggy.

I’m pretty darn new to sPvP and necro in general, and I’m awful at switching weapons so I modified this build a little as far as sigils and rune and I’ve got to say this is just amazing.

Maybe not huge for others but I did a match where I took out three people before dying which is awesome for someone new to sPvP. :P

Hmm well that’s conflicting responses, I was hoping for more.

Do you know if they put a video of the livestream online afterwards?

I am having trouble interpreting the text on the reward track boxes.

This week’s sPvP reward track is Arah…if I finish the entire track, do I get a full set of Arah armor or is it only one piece of your choosing?

Mine actually seems Grove-related as well. I had at least one if not more characters parked there, as it’s my favorite hub for TP/Bank/Crafting.

I can also see chat but cannot type in it…anything I type and hit enter on just disappears.

It lasts a long time, too. 24 hours? Enough to significantly affect your leveling for a good while. And that’s play time, it goes on hold when you log out.

Yes, xp and karma and wxp. Using it while farming EOTM is super efficient for gaining massive amounts of all of those with the booster. :P

Do you like how it looks on your character? Yes? Good. Who cares if someone else has it too? How, exactly, does someone else enjoying the look of an item ruin your enjoyment of the same item?

Don’t worry…you’re still “special” even if someone else is wearing the same dress at the party.

I actually don’t do dungeons, either. I haven’t felt my enjoying the game was lacking at all, either.

I do map completion, crafting, farming…I will do sPvP after the patch and I really enjoy WvW. If you don’t love running around your own WvW but you really like champion trains, Edge of the Mists is a great alternative to Queensdale. You occasionally get to PvP, you get mass amounts of karma and badges, and you get loot bags and mats just like you would from a PvE champion train.

I have all three, and I love them all.

I don’t PvE (as far as dungeons/fractals go) but I do WvW and love it and there are great builds you can make for all of those professions for WvW.

I personally love my necromancer the most. I feel invincible with the amount of AOE they have between staff and wells, it feels like everything dies so quickly…and I don’t die because I can heal conditions off and jump into death shroud if I think I might die and it’s like having an extra health bar.

Rangers are fun because every pet has a different ability that you can choose from.

Mesmers are just fun all around as well, between stealth and portals and making copies of yourself that blow things up with purple lasers and butterflies. :P

The meta achievement is really pretty easy to get done in EotM. Between some WvW on my server and a lot of EotM I was able to get mine done in the first week. Nine weeks is definitely plenty of time to get it done in.

I do feel bad for the servers that don’t end up with enough tickets to get a mistforged weapon in one tournament, it doesn’t really seem fair to punish people for being on a low pop server. That being said, I guess that is why Anet gave the option to move with the free server transfers before the tournament started. People who didn’t take advantage of that (while I’m sure they had their reasons) only have themselves to blame.

I doubt they’ll ever add the option considering how much your early personal story is tied into your character’s race.
