The Stab changes make it more difficult to deal with CC’s but plenty of guilds have found a way to counter the changes and still be succesful. It sounds like many people complaining about this change in stab have done nothing to try and counter it, except come onto these forums and complain. You just can’t mindless jump into a pile pugs anymore, spamming you’re auto attacks and expect to have success. Your melee and casters have to much more aware of cleansing. Warrior warhorn 4 anyone, for example??? Baiting out dmg/cc first before your big push, has generally been utilized by most decent guilds and works wonders with the new change in stability.

Plenty of guilds in t2 have already adapted to this change and are still blowing up pug zergs. Party composition has changed some but more so, positioning and timing are far more crucial. Timing your leaps, stability rotations, cleanses etc has become a bit more challenging.

What I don’t see in this thread or the other thread is people stating what they have changed to deal with this new challange and if it has worked or not. Most of what I see is just complaining. Pretty sure that this complaining about stability changes won’t help you or your guild properly adapt. Guilds such as FUN, BMO, HYMM and others have adapted pretty well so its possible kiddos. You just have to do more than complain.

So, what have people tried to counter this change?

This is thread is full of people crying about the changes in stab when it could be used as a means to create a discussion about how to counter the change. Which guilds have done btw. BMO, FUN, PS, DUI, IX, BAE and many other guilds have delt or are dealing with the changes and have had success so maybe ask why your guild hasn’t rather than complaining the game is broke. Lol

First, the NS you are seeing now is completely different then the NS that had one of the longest win streaks within the GVG meta. Ask pretty much anyone in NS and they will let you know, though they are disbanded now till the expansion. Secondly the change to stability is farely easy to counter, so easy that all it takes is a third guard in your melee parties and bit of tweaking of a few traits or honestly, the same standard AH 0/0/6/4/4 Guardian setup would work as well. Your stab rotations have to be a bit tighter and you have to be more aware of your positioning. Its l2play without the stab crutch kiddos.

Best ways to solve T2 problems is to have ANET stop manipulating match ups. Find it hard to believe that FA gets a Tier 3 match up this week allowing YB to stay in tier 2. What were the percentages off this happening ANET? Some crappy match manipulations going on that are making lots of people salty. ANET, #1 trolls NA lol.

IMG still running strong with upcoming GvGs this Thursday. Needing a gank driver for gvgs and still in need of guardians and staff eles. Running 13-17 but looking to get above 20 for raids.

Arius gives a fairly accurate analysis of the servers he mentioned. On SBI is we have RAIN, as a community guild that can run 30 deep on their raid nights, IMG who runs 15-20 most nights, KWBH who is a pvx guild that runs regularly, DoG who mostly defend/scout and will hit enemy BL’s. KIWI is our main SEA guild, along with AoD pugs, and there is NITE which is havoc and will ninja keeps/tower during OXC/SEA. The rest are all pugs who mostly flock to EB.

SBI is not really looking for any big guilds, and we are very happy where we are at in tier 4. Only thing we would look for is a few more SEA numbers as DH has a big SEA. SBI is not paying for transfers nor do we really want any. Tier 4/5 is pretty good for fights and coverage balance so DON’T come **** it up with a bunch of transfers.

There is a decent Scrim/GvG scene in tier 4/5 with guilds such as IMG, MEAN, TDS, SOTD, ODM, DUI and some others that are active in OS.

Running nightly in WvW on SBI. Still looking for Guardians, Staff Ele’s and Gank. Great fights in tier 4, very competitive match ups, and plenty of scrims/gvgs.

Tier 3 is a mess, so I would suggest you try tier 4-5. SBI, HoD, GoM and DH are all comparable in population. SBI is mostly NA with a few guilds, RAIN and IMG that raid, with the rest being pugs. We have a pretty casual SEA presence, headed by KIWI and pugs. We have had A LOT of players return recently and are pretty satisfied with stabilizing in tier 4/5.

Tier 4/5 have lots of fights, ton of guilds run 10-20 and there are blobs in EB. There is also a developing gvg scene. Any of these servers would be a good place to transfer. SBI has been pretty stable in the tier 3 to tier 4 range for over a year. We could use more guild groups as I stated above, we are mostly pugs, who are a tough bunch. Good luck on your search.

T4 and T5 are very competitive with plenty of fights during and NA/Sea/Ocx time. T3 is a mess and I recommend you stay away from tier 3 as there are currently 4 T2 servers and the match-ups are just bad.

Servers such as SBI, DH, GoM, CD and HoD are all solid servers with good communities and guilds that are wvw focused.

We are up to just over 30 on roster and running nightly in WvW, sans a break for the holidays. Always looking for outnumbered fights and/or scrims vs other open field guilds. Will have another video up after the holiday break.

Recruiting SKILLED players in the following classes:

High Need – 2-3 Guardians, 2-3 Staff Ele’s and one more extremely good Thief

Medium Need – Warriors, Necro’s, Engi, Mesmer

Don’t Need – Rangers

If you main a d/d ele you must be very kitten good, like Serane good.

Immortal Gladiators [IMG] is recruiting. We are an organized gvg/zerg busting guild located on Stormbluff Isle. We are a NA guild that is looking to expand our numbers in order to run 20-25 for raids. We are an experienced bunch that loves fighting outnumbered and going balls deep into enemy zergs. Do you have any large PvX guilds on your server? I command at times and I’m looking for a new server. Not looking to only command, but also looking for a community to be a part of and follow other commanders in WvW as well.

The majority of our WvW population is composed of pvx guilds. Lots and lots and lots and lots of pugs to command and a hand full of tags to follow.

MxR, AB, KWBH, MYTH, KT are all PVX guilds on SBI.

Hero, Amazon Basin, Orr are also pve with casual wvw on SBI. IMG is more hardcore with raid builds and organization. Though when we are not raiding, you free to do as you please. Look at the website above under guild recruitment.

Guilds come and go from SBI but our dedicated pugs keep us in tier 3/4. Current wvw focused guilds are IMG, PH, HERO and ABYSS is back. Still fun imo and atm we rebuilding but competitive. SBI is a good choice. Strong pug militia that most of our WvW guilds worth and don’t malign.

Colder Than You is best tag NA – SBI

DS power necro has the best spike Aoe dmg in the game, combined with proper use of wells and traited for increased crit. You will get wrecked. Try with the transfusion trait for Aoe heals and GG. Eles are slow casters and more effective for dmg over time.

Great militia on our server, that shows up consistently. SBI guilds are getting more involved in the GvG scene and will have a ton guilds to compete against in our tier, whether we get DB or FA. One of the best pvx communities. Join up!

Great group and happy to have them on SBI. Lots of good fights during oceanic in tier 3 and the upcoming leagues.

SBI has gotten transfers from BP, TC and some DB. Still need some solid NA guilds. Come balance silver league. Great community!!

If they remove the ability for cannons to destroy rams through gates, they mine as well remove cannons. It’s the one useful things Cannons had going for them. Other than that, they are pretty much cannon fodder (no pun intended).

There is truth in this statement that cannons are the first target of any attacking force and are completely defenseless, thus pretty useless beyond being able to do dmg through gates. I have zero isssues with changing placed siege, trebs, ac’s etc, so they cannot hit through gates as they can be moved but leave cannons as is.

So people pay gold to transfer up to go to Eotm? Logic! Eotm is pretty kitten boring these days when I have gotten in. It’s a gimmick that is quickly losing steam.

This is my concern. Looks like a lose lose for DB right now. If we go into silver league we will probably win and have easy boring weeks like we do right now. If we go into gold we will lose so bad guildies and entire guilds will probably quit or transfer like they did when we lost every week on DR back in the first season.

Basically why I am pushing to get more guilds into silver, so it can be somewhat competitive but seems majority want to be carried by the numbers in the top two tiers and sit in queues.

You can’t depend on Anet to solve the issues with wvw. If anything they feed into the stacking with their money grabbing seasons/transfer sceeming. Its kinda ingenious how they have set it up from the free transfers to the start of the seasons. Its up to the community to which I have about as much faith in as Anet. All the stacking further kills wvw and creates such imbalance that very soon the only option will be to merge lower tier servers which won’t happen till anet bleeds them dry with transfers. Bad model is bad.

You’re reason for wanting to transfering up tiers is to get more gold in wvw? Ugh.

Seriously, NA guilds stop tranfering to tier 1/2. Their NA’s are all stacked with many having queues. This is before all the achievement hunters come out for season. A 50+ guild just tranfered to TC, who welcomed them and then asked why they came to TC as their NA already has a huge queue. Stay where you are or look at tier 3 or lower.

SBI has a great militia headed by Bannok, that is a map hopping machine. Working with Deth, KWBH and KTX, we are waypointing, defending keeps and wiping them DB hordes nightly.

Even though outnumbered these past few weeks our core is still showing up. Stay outta the nutgging tier 1/2 server blobs and help to balance out tier 3/4. Great pvx community with a dedicated wvw population.

As posted earlier SBI just need a few more guilds to stabilize us for the upcoming season. 2 decent sized NA guilds and we fine. Don’t expect anyone to beat DB in silver or FA if they fall, as the numbers are so greatly skewed in their favor. Happens when everyone nuthugs in the top two tiers. The ques tier 1/2 will see during the season should be interesting as large amounts of achievement seekers will be clogging up your maps.
