Guild Wars 2

Cicc (LX) – Loves fighting bigger numbers and is great in supporting other commanders on the field. Run lots of small parties with him. Moves fast and is not afraid to take suggestions. Very flexible as a commander running havoc groups or leading da zerglings.
Bannok (DC) – Great offensive and defensive commander. Really understands when to push and when to pull back and reorganize the lemmings. At the same time loves to jump into the opposing zerg and just destroys EB when he is on. Really great in using his scouts and responding quickly to tower defense. Highly respected on SBI.
Grundlenub (KT) – Really great offensive commander. People see him on and they know lots of Karma/wxp is coming. Loves his portal bombs.

TC is not getting 500 new members from CD, lmao. These guild don’t run in 60-70 man mega zergs. These guilds are/were part of CD’s OCEANIC. Andy, what you have been told does not translate into actual WvW numbers, as others have stated.

If any DB wants some good fights, during SEA time come to SBI. Both CD and SOS have good numbers during those hours and we need that coverage. Unless of course you love the challenge of outmaneuvering doors. Sounds terribly boring. Missing Mag soo much now that they are gone……….lulz.

T4 is zergy in EB. Zerg balls roll anywhere from 30-50 deep. The borderland fights are typically in the 15-20’s from what I have seen. Great match up with SBI, CD, SOS. BSW and LX like to run in smaller groups on SBI. Always lots of kittening fun. Can’t see how running in a 70-80 man zerg is enjoyable in any way.

Had lots of fun on CD borderlands last night in some smaller battles with both CD and SoS. Needed a break from the EB zerg ball action. SBI holding the point lead for a good 6-7 hours last night into early morning. But, lack of coverage just continues to kill us during the morning and early afternoon. We need a few good strong SEA/OCEANIC guilds. I think SoS can spare a few :P

Reset night was really fun in EB. SM was flipped so many times and the score remained fairly close. Our EB Zerg was just rolling both SoS and CD all night Friday. Can’t remember a single time we got wiped. There was a good 2 hours straight where the SoS zerg in EB was running from the Bannok train.

I logged back in Saturday afternoon and SoS, who was in last place has a 10k+ lead. The rest of Saturday and Sunday was us with out manned buff flickering off and on, with CD and SoS with big zergs in EB. It was rough at times fighting off two big zergs but this is the crazy nature of EB.

CD always does well on reset weekend numbers. They can compete with Magzerma. Had no idea about SoS numbers but they seem to have plenty of SEA/Oceanic guilds? We know that during the week CD numbers drop plenty and they struggle. SBI numbers tend to go up during NA 6pm-midnight but we will lose even more points during the day do to lack of coverage. SOS will win their for the first time since they left tier 1.

This is sad to hear about SoS. We went through the same on SBI, as you all know. All our experienced WvW guilds/players bolted and we became a beta server going up against servers that had 5 months of WvW experience. Not gonna lie, it was bad and being a player that was around for our tier 1 time, it was kitten hard to see.

BUT, we have stabilized and those that stuck around, shut down many of the negative influenced that would come in and troll about how bad we were in WvW. Crap like that just kills morale. If you stick through this it can be very rewarding but you must be realistic about what your server is now capable of accomplishing and as Calvin said, you will bounce back.

Being against SBI/CD after this reset should help as we are not nearly as zergy as DB/YB and are still relearning how to WvW as a server. Looking forward to this change in matchups.

Mag’s EB faction by far has the most numbers. They can easily run 60 deep and look like tier 1/2 zergs yet they are not nearly as good at their BL teams. Mag will get hit pretty hard in EB, seeing as Yaks and DB both will match their mega zerg in numbers.

SBI has seen a big population increase this week in EB. Our zerg has hit 50 lemmings strong and during NA prime we don’t have any problems in EB and have taken SM almost every night. Most of our EB success can be attributed to DC and Bannok.
Our borderland commanders/teams REALLY struggle at times. Sometimes due to pop. difference or just outplayed. Very interested to see the new SoS and how they fare in this tier.

Some fun fights last night in EB running with Bannkitten and the midget. SBI had a 40-50 man zerg, soo ugly. Looking forward to battling SoS next week. How are your numbers and what guilds are left on SoS?

Ah someone brought up my name. That’s sooo cute that it makes me chuckle. Please continue with the chest thumping on all sides. I am entertained. Poor Mag is all big and bad when they outnumber peeps, then completely fall apart when they move up a tier and have to face equal or more numbers on a nightly basis. If any of you wanna check the threads while they are in tier 3, I am sure it will tickle your fancy.

Thinking about what commander on SBI annoys me the most, and will try to get him/her over to your tower.

See for us the points battle isn’t over. We don’t care about the points you all have but rather working towards being in 2nd place and moving CD down to third. I don’t think anyone on SBI wants to go down a tier as it will be boring for us, much like you all say this tier is boring for you.

You all run a nasty hammer train but were easy baited out of towers. When you came to hit our SBI BL’s this week with your culling mess of mag zerg, it was refreshing to see you only use one golem, that was actually never really used. We knew that with the numbers and party make up, that you we could not take you on head on. So broke up our numbers and baited you out of Longview and out of Cliffside and took both towers back. Our two commanders did a great job of coordinating with each other.

Our strat was to keep you occupied and moving you where we wanted to and it worked fairly well. Its just not about brute force and numbers but understanding what your opponent has and how you can combat em. Nice pushes on the Garrison but you never got into our inner and we repeatedly pushed you out till you left the map. Was a fun night of running to combat your big pushes and will always give that zerg you run props for it toughness but with what we had to work with, considered it a victory for us.

I know and I do it to get a rise outta you. Forum warrior 101 → Troll your opponent to get a reaction. Many of the Mag warriors have that down pat. Some mag dude posted earlier about turning EB green and so I brought a little truth to the conversation. Sorry if I made you has feelings.

There is no way that a truce to double team one server will effectively happen and I have no desire for SBI to get involved in this sort of game play. Sorry CD, fight your own battles. We are fine on our own and no need to feed the Mag forum warriors <3.

As far as turning the map green in EB, it happened with outmanned blinking on and off for us. And earlier while you all had a Que in EB, we didn’t have a Que and took SM and smacked the crap outta your paper zerg repeatedly for a good 3 hours. At one point for a good hour, you all couldn’t even reach SM outer gates. Not sure what the Mag strat was, other then mass more people and bring golems. MAGOLEMA!! Our EB commander logged off, as he had work, and we basically gave the map to you as our numbers dropped dramatically.

I wish the crews in our other maps would actually put up the fight that our EB crew does. Its frustrating running with anyone other then Bannok, Bermier, Cicc and will throw Werty and maybe Grundle in there, if he is not running that stoopid karma train. He has gotten better in defending and upgrading lately.

Mag has lots of numbers this week, seems more so then the previous week. Large zergs in at least 3 different maps that I saw. Not sure how you all don’t do well in tier 3 with the numbers you bring, and your far superior tactics :P. Gotta love the fairweather players….

Yeah the culling in SBI BL was horrendous and along with the lag. I don’t know if it had to do with the map crashing earlier but was the worst I had seen in a long while. EB with many more numbers had little culling or lag for me. And double teaming happens nightly in W3, so it should almost be expected.

Pretty sure SBI was getting 2x the attention last night on EB and in our own BL. Not sure what happened later in the early morning but in EB we were getting trebbed by Mag and hit by CD continually around Ogre’s. Was a big three way battle on the slope just outside Ogres, for a good hour. Twas great funs. Us SBI thieves had fun ganking both Mag and CD.

In SBI we were dealing with a big Mag hammer zerg and CD attacking us on the south east repeatedly. Held our own, as usual, and kept both the Keep in EB and our garrison in SBI. Thanx for the good battles Mag and CD.

Anyone getting booted from SBI BL? Pretty much entire force got booted and cant get back in :/

What can I say, I get around. I will say that you had a tough group running around your own BL’s last night. 30 strong that were smashing the SBI we had running around. I actually saw some tactics from this zerg, like mass invis and good movement. Wish I remembered the commanders name. It was the best I have seen from Mag in bigger numbers.

Re-read and comprehend a bit better. I didn’t say all of my time. If you read an earlier post, you will see how I was in our own BL and still fighting a double team from you and CD. Was also with kiwi havoc last night that was flipping your camps on MG BL. I do fine with finding the fights I want, but thank you for the input

Avoiding fights? I am on EB most nights and there are plenty of fights between us and Mags. But, if you repeatedly run with your culling mess of 40+ zerg, its not lots of fun. You all afraid if you run with smaller numbers? Split your zerg up and lets see what happans in EB. Each night I am on EB during our primetime, we easily handle any Mag zerg close in numbers. We call you all the paper zerg. If you all want more fights, then act like it instead of running with so many numbers.

If you all can’t take us or our towers, you either come with golems or bring more numbers. Its the same each and every night in EB. Late last night in EB, I was running with BSW havoc team of about 5 and squashing your 10-15 man group that was roaming around our backyard. They tried to take Mendons and got owned. And no we didn’t use any siege.

This has to do with the failure in the points system used by ANET. We move down one tier and have a big numbers advantage over other servers and wvwvw gets boring. We stay in this tier and both Mags and Yaks have numbers over us. BTW your boredom is giving us repeated entertainment and badges. Plz continue :P

Whew, SBI waited until everyone left Maguuma borderlands to rush east keep with 5 golems and we still managed to save it…a happy coincidence for SBI turned sour…much like many happy coincidences for SBI

The amount of golem rushes this weekend alone on the SBI keep in EB is comical. 5, 7, 10 golems at a time and your huge zerg doing the same tactic over and over and repeatedly getting owned by lesser number. Can you all do anything in EB without twice our numbers and golems? The answer be no.

Also, props to Werty and the crew yesterday in SBI BL that held off, yes another Mag golem rush at our keep, while CD was in hills with a treb and about 30+ zerg. We had about 25 people and had to leave hills to beat back mag at our watergate then ported back to hills to push CD out. Ty for the double team, much fun was had.

SBI here and Mag have been lots of fun for us. No issues with them in our thread or on the battlefield. They are a bit zergy for us in EB, where they have been running with two 30+ zergs during NA prime time. Up until last night, we have not been able to match those numbers. With pretty equal numbers we took and defended SM for 10+ last night against constant MAG and CD zergs. Mag was just relentless.

I honestly think, now that our server has settled a bit since our free fall that Yaks would be a better match for us numbers wise. We tend to be all over the place with numbers and like many servers we have our fair weather players, who come onto a map and if we are struggling or outmanned won’t bother to stay. But, since our last matchup with Yaks our wvw numbers have increased and I am interested in seeing how we would hold up.

Nah, just chest thumping a bit bout our defense in SM. All in fun :P

Tonight was rare for us in having that many show up in EB. Kinda sucks fighting equal numbers for once doesn’t it?

40 SBI on one map during the weekday? Not gonna happen. We don’t have 40 people on any map this week. We generally run at the most, 20-25 on one map. We always have the outmanned buff blinking on and off in EB, while Mag has two 30-40 man zergs running during most nights. Seems all they know how to do in EB is zerg. But zergs will never go away in WvW.

Mag most definitely struggles without their zergs in EB. They had 10-15 running around last night behind our garrison trying to take Veloka and they got repeatedly stomped by 5-7 of us. Violet was commanding and we didn’t even bother to repair the walls as all we wanted were some open field battles without having to deal with a messy culling 30+ zerg. DR said the same about us in the previous match ups and Mag probably all feels the same when they move up to the next tier. Sadly, this is WvW in GW2.

Mag shouldn’t act like they don’t have a pretty big numbers advantage over us, but that doesn’t mean they don’t have skilled guilds or player, or that its always the numbers that win the battles for them. Though if we could put up the same numbers as them, the score would look very different.

Maguuma will be monumentally worse then anything this thread has seen regarding trolling or chest thumping. They don’t even like TC over in their thread. Boggles my mind.

Its gonna be ugly even more so cause they will have a pretty big coverage/numbers advantage over us. Gonna get hit hard from the Goomba’s during NA prime time and then CD is mostly a SEA/OCEANIC server. See how long it takes for the fair weathers to fade away into care bear land.

Not all of SBI are like this and if true Kiwi should come on and apologize for this behavior. What you must understand is that the posts from AD last night, during this fight were inflammatory and not needed, so you got a reaction. Not the best reaction but you all are playing a part. Being gracious in victory goes both ways and you all have been far less then gracious in this thread.

I got involved in the BS last night and I am sorry but enough is enough. Its a game and I would rather enjoy it then waste any more time this thread.

AD, BSTY, NoQQ are honestly the only guilds on DR that are kitten hard to face and they always run together. No disrespect to any other DR guilds but that bunch is just so noticeably better then the rest of you. They run lots of tanky/hammer/stun builds that are backed up by some nasty burst thieves and they do it well. Giving them props for their level of play is justified.

Though we did wipe you a few times last night with pretty equal numbers and you most definitely were running with more then ten people in SBI BL last night. The mass invis bomb you laid on our group last night in the corn field had far more then 10 people and was nasty, lol. I lagged out so bad from the culling that I was dead before before any skills went off :/

I am glad to hear UDL will be around, as will KIWI, KT, CD, LX and of course SBI. All are solid guilds that I always see on wvw no matter the tier/score. Also, I would like all of us on SBI to stay away from spawn camping IOJ or DR. We have had it done to us repeatedly by former SBI who transferred to SOR and by YB in tier 4 and we all know how it crappy it feels.

In all honestly, would be great for us to break up our zerg into smaller parties and learn more about smaller scale combat. It really helps to learn how your class can complement others you are running with and gain a better understanding of group combat. There should be no concern about points this week and there is always something to learn if you get stomped by other smaller roaming groups or through victory.

One thing that DR and IOJ will have to understand is that for us to move up a tier we will have to keep the pressure on and our day crew will continue to pvdoor and please try not to take offense to this.

Oh and RED guild in SBI BL’s last night, again you are just LOL. Any more info on this guild? They are just so blatant with the speed and jumping hacks.

The fight for IOJ keep in EB last night was kitten fun. Waves of IOJ hitting us from the water gate and north gate was intense. Came a bit late to the first rush at the water gate and saw 25-30 IOJ burst through and it was only me and maybe two others facing the mighty zerg, lol. Was able to make it to the inner gate and wait for our siege and other to arrive to stop you midway up the ramp. From there we were able to push you all back out the water gate only to see another zerg of 20 at the north gate o.0. You all were relentless. Lub you IOJ guys for your tenacity against overwhelming numbers. Hope to see more of this during the week.

Would love to move up a tier, as the weekend has been pvd at times, even during prime time for NA. No offense to IOJ/DR but our numbers have increased so dramatically during this match up that its become a bit boring at times.

Seeing a majority of the map one color is never fun and I get tired of seeing people come into EB or our BL and saying ,“Where’s the Zerg?” Been running in smaller numbers with Cicc and others as this zerg mentality we have developed has gotten annoying. Half of those have no idea how to work in a zerg, as one big rolling mass of Aoe + heals or love to drop random siege in the most peculiar places. This is how you know the difference between fair weather and more experienced players in WvWvW. Repeatedly, we have have talks in map/team chat about siege placement and using supplies and if running in the zerg staying with your commander and yet the same guilds/players repeatedly don’t listen. They wont be around for when we move up, as they are here for karma/map completion/badge leaching.

PSA if running with a zerg → Blast finishers and mass invis, use them plz and try to stay near you’re commander. I also hear that flanking and portal bombs are super duper effective :p. So many times I, or commanders, have taken a group of five around the back of the DR zerg at Dane and wiped em. We have a lot to learn as a server and being in this tier is creating a lot of bad habits that would get us destroyed against same population servers. More then likely, if we move up we will be replacing CD and that would be more beneficial for both tiers.

I think people are just tired of complaining about numbers or coverage tilted one way or the other. DR has done a bit of complaining bout that and we have complained bout their complaining while LOJ just seems to enjoy a good fight and putting up some great Keep defense in EB.

People who love to game, get passionate at times. Happens to many of us and has happened to me. SBI has been stomped repeatedly before this match by large zergs and we never really bothered to complain about literally having days of not reaching 100 points. Many of us that were around for our tier one days and then continued to fight our way down to tier five, took our lumps but continued to show up and took more lumps, so when we see DR complaining about numbers it sets us a bit off.

The fault lies more so in WvW design. If you want to complain ANET would be a more appropriate target, but alas you forum warriors wont get the same reaction outta them then you will outta us.

In EB we always have good numbers during NA prime time, mostly I think due to people figuring out they can get map completion in now. We have had plenty of nights in our own BL where we at most had 10-12 and there has been a DR zerg of 20+ running our camps and some towers. There has also been times when Kiwi comes on that we have good amounts in EB, our own BL’s and then Kiwi will go hit DR BL’s for a few hours. This is usually around 11pm est. It can be very hit and miss for us, but in EB we have consistently good numbers this week.

My issue with those on SBI who only show up when we are winning is they tend to ride the coattails of us more hardened wvwvw players. For a good month we struggled to get more then 10-15 people on one map or even get a breakout event started. People would come into a map and see the score, QQ in map/team chat and then leave. It got to the point where many of us that continued to fight no matter numbers or score, began to post in map chat for people to GTFO or transfer if couldn’t handle our descent into lower tiers.

Now we can have 20+ zergs on all maps during NA prime time. Its annoying as all kitten hell. I don’t want to slam you that bail out so easily when the fights don’t go our way, and I understand that this a game and should be a source of enjoyment, but we are one hell of a fare weather server. Its understandable though, when most of our wvwer’s jumped ship to stay in tier 1 or 2 and not a rare occurrence in GW2. Look as recently as SoS, who we might be facing within the next few months.

One thing that would help tremendously, as Krash stated above is a reworking of rewards and the scoring system in wvw. Look at the scores across the board at all tiers and you see huge discrepancies. WvW needs A LOT of attention from Anet.

Enjoyed the fight club and fighting Initiative, the p/d thief. Last fight was soo fun. Arya The Poor, Initiative and Kyuzo were all very gracious, thank you. IoJ did show up in the form of that mesmer who portal bombed one of us from SBI outta no where, then got their kitten stomped. As I said last night, will try to get a few more SBI to show up next time.

Some DR that post such as Alcuin at least show a bit of class and aren’t full of excuses. I honestly believe others would complain to no end. Meh again enjoy and that EB map is so pretty. Good Job SBI. Also, IOJ has been coming out in more numbers. I like it. Good showings on their part.

Remember we lost nearly all of our hardened experienced commanders/guilds in wvw. Many are fairly new but tonight was a nice improvement across the board. Lastly, DR is putting up a good defense in their BL keep. Some nice battles. Fun fun night.
