To be fair, that’s just one guy spouting off and apparently he doesn’t know much match history. I’d be surprised if he was actually even on TC, given the comments.

You seriously have a lack of evidence to prove that point. Nany you HAVE to be new to the game right? Or you xfered from a low tier server aka. stacking.

TC was mid rank… had some good guilds. But then they started paying other big name guilds to transfer in. They wanted to make a push to get to tier one so they stacked the server numbers.

Other servers have done it too so its not a slam against TC directly… just against those that are ON a stacked server… then come to the forums saying “this is a great buff!”… you have no understanding of anything BUT the stacking mentality.

I’ve actually had a few 1 vs 2 and 1 vs 3 where they all took great pride in their antics for beating an uplevel in greens/blues. A couple of times I’ve caught the culprits alone and they didn’t fare so well.

It’s probably been said, but I just really need to post this because I’m rather irate about this issue.

Not only has this punished players who like to roam in smaller groups, but it’s also punished servers that are the underdog in the fights. With the most recent pairings, this hasn’t helped.

Honestly, I think this patch is ridiculous, and it has made wvw unplayable for me unless I’m with a zerg, which I really don’t enjoy doing to begin with. I like being able to wander with a few friends either in my home borderland or in another borderland. This patch has now made that nigh impossible, and rather irritating as a result.

For me this patch has removed the most rewarding and fun mode of gameplay in GW2 and warped into something that’s not only irritating to play but also a chore.

I know it’s a bad for other servers but it’s pretty good so far in my tier lol.

SoR always play full map blob but this patch force them to split out their blob which help BG a lot because we are consisted a lot of small / roaming guilds…..

I personally would love to keep it like this ….. I’m tired of full map blob …

Of course its fine in T1, you have a nearly even match up. The problem with the bloodlust buff is that it makes blow-outs even worse, and makes even small scale skirmishes imbalanced. It’s great that T1 is having fun with it, but that’s 3/24 of the servers.

I understand but i’m curious You think without bloodlust you would have won the match ? I just feel like if you already lose it’s just not gonna make any different anyway due to the numbers

Yeah, so lets just give the winning team arrow carts that do 4x damage and golems with 4x health because hey, they’re just going to win anyway, right? Who cares? Let’s continue to make matches even more uneven because its a totally lost cause.

T1 is a totally different world – PPT actually means something, people are actually invested in the weekly scores. In lower tiers, most cases the match is decided at reset. If winning was what mattered, why would anyone on the loosing team bother to play when they’re getting pacmaned? At least before the buff, I could gear up and eat my food/wrench buffs and find some pretty even fights. In 2v2s or 3v3s, giving your opponents a few ascended trinkets worth of stats can make a difference. We can overcome it, but it’s just one more thing, more salt in wound. It’s the opposite of what we need.

Newsflash: ALT+F4 when you’re downed in WvW doesn’t save you from a stomp. LOL The enemy gets the kill and a loot bag and you get damage on your gear. I suppose what hasn’t been confirmed is if ALT+F4 doesn’t give the enemy server the points when you aren’t stomped but IMO taking PPT too seriously. It’s not worth it.

false, at least as of yesterday. had downed people alt+F4ing on me, and not getting any exp, WXP, loot, or points.

If that’s case then it’s a bug. It’s not ‘false’ because that is how it’s supposed to be.

You guys should open your eyes. Did you ever have a queue pop while in a fight? Did you click the button to go to other BL? Did it damage your gear as it normally would? Lemme help you: No. There’s your answer. If they leave the bl via this way, they avoid giving you reward or taking armor damage.

ok so since my previous post was merged i see we have many more. this one has staff responces too! well i’d like to say that often at this time (midnight) i’d log my main, throw up my commander tag and lead the fight vs the enemy in a brave effort to hold onto a few towers in wvw.

tonight i’m not going wvw. why would i deliberately seek an unfair fight vs a more populated server with extra stats?

i would like to ask who thought this bloodlust idea was good and who allowed it to be implemented? then i’d like to ask that these people NEVER be allowed to contribute to balance or development of game mechanics ever again.

you should have learned from the orbs. guild wars is supposed to be the mmo based on the idea of a fair fight. this is anything but fair. fix it; remove the stats bonus ASAP.

They made 5x mini Spvp maps on all borderlines. Guild raids are going to die.
What did anet think, that +150 stats is going to help a 10-15 man team when a map zerg comes and hits the gates.

Anet has about 1 month to give us GvG arenas, before they lose 60% of WvW population.
For Anet:
After even giving us 1% info about the bloodlust, none like it, back then you should have said to yourself “ok maybe we kittened up” but no, you didnt even bother asking what to actual palyers want, you just keep adding stuff you think will be good.
Ofcourse zerging kittens will like this, and idiots who dont know how to actualy fight. But there are players who actualy love fair and good fights.

You really think this is because of the orb buff? You’re just aiming the blame elsewhere if you ask me. Instead okittennowledging that your server is weaker than the leading server, you come up with the silly idea that the game is doing something wrong.

Without the orb buffs, chances are pretty high that you’d still be getting slaughtered. Only difference now is that you’ve got a new feature to blame, instead of lack of server coverage, lower server population, possibly even lower player skill. Maybe your server is focussing too much on zerging – Neglecting small group play, etc. etc.

Evaluate the orb buff for a few weeks. Evaluate your server’s behaviour. Don’t judge badly because you’re losing. Be constructive.

If you read the title of the post, it says “the strong get stronger”. I think you may have missed the point…

I find myself believing Sacrx, they just want more people in their stale sPvP scene.

This forum had hundreds of posts from veteran WvWvW players telling that the bloodlust on BL was a bad idea. It just adds more power to the winning server, making already imbalanced matches even more imbalanced. We already had the Power of the Mists, which was also doing the same (even up to +10% bonus to vitality, healing power based on your WvWvW server score). Both should be removed / changed immediately. I want even match ups, not that one side face rolls the others.

I don’t wanna repeat what I already posted on the buffs topic, but here is very short summary. Defensive buffs for the weakest (outnumbered side), especially their structures and NPCs, make sense, but adding any offensive buffs to any side, especially to the winning side, doesn’t make any sense whatsoever.

I used to be called the King of the Lake or the Lord of the Lake by the members of Desolation WvWvW community. I spent a lot of time in the lake and really enjoyed the underwater fights. Now I am king of nothing. The lake is almost 100% gone. I am incredibly sad, beyond words to express what I feel. The new map replacing the lake looks ugly. Instead of something more creative, why to add yet another ruins? Why to entirely remove water combat from WvWvW? Nobody was forcing anybody to enter the lake, thus it was optional. Versatility is good, especially when it is not forced.

This is the day when WvWvW died.

Right now Desolation is ticking 35 and SFR is ticking 590 and has all the 3 blood lust stacks. Trying to hold them is very difficult as SFR has far greater number of players. A good game should be fun for all sides involved. I do not understand how this could be fun for all.

To be honest I can’t tell if I like it or not yet, because the lag is so bad I can’t fight properly :-(

As far as the Agg/Ark combo if you wouldn’t run in 50 man groups then it wouldn’t happen, both of us prefer to run on our own. I know there was a DB commander last night who said the fact that DB ended up with a Q’d zerg in a giant ball was a big foolish and that he wished it didn’t always end like that.

If you have premade guilds that are names of your combined guilds you really can’t say anything when we team up.

Tensions must be running high in DB. For simply proposing an alternative tactic, the entire DB TS server got really bent out of shape and proceeded to call me very bad names QQ. Then I got banned from the TS server. Really classy when I’ve never had a mic attached and just listened in to commanders, helping out where needed. If this is the type of communication and treatment DB players are going to get, we need HELP. Maybe I’ll just take the week off and let the guys that think they’re hard get facerolled. I’ll still run my little solo camp/sentry caps, as usual. Gotta get that WXP! LOL!

At least you didnt get banned for laying down light fields in static fields.
