Years ago when I stopped playing GW2, the topic was the main reason.
I see this didn’t change at all. Even on low level areas, when you try to kill a rare mob, and you got 5-6 normal mob around it, well… you can’t do that alone (or with one other guy). By the time I killed the ads around, the first ones already spawning back.
Just done exactly this above, and I wasn’t even alone, but with another player.
This is VERY frustrating, I mean no point even trying to do such quests where they want you to kill xy named elite/rare mob.
The mob respawn time need to be toned down drastically.
I probably stop playing again, most of the quests that ends up killing a strong guy is too hard with 5-6 mobs respawning while I already in the middle of the fight with the named mob.
Sure, if 5-6-7 other players around this is doable. But the respawn time should be different if there are no players around (like deserted low level areas since most of the players already on high-end and playing the higher level maps).
P.S.: I mean I really don’t understand why this isn’t changed at all and no one else noticed this yet or the dev. team didn’t care about this at all? Compared to any other MMO out there this issue is standing out drastically. Yes I’m playing wow if I play mmo at all, but of course I don’t want GW2 to be exactly like wow but this respawn time is illogical to say the least.

Practice makes perfect.
Also, that’s not a bug, so why are you making this thread in the Bugtracking-forum?
Because its not really a technical problem at first place in my opinion. Its a bad design, and non-caring from the part of developers.
That should considered a bug when the screen is shaking like crazy because the camera acts as a living entity in the world and got “invisible body”. And it “stuck” between player model and objects. Kind of silly and very lame seriously.
This needs to be addressed.
They need to give a first person view where objects not blocking the view front of the player character not to mention objects behind the character (leaves from tree and braqnches). Camera can’t see through them but also not jumping behind them (well that would be even worse though, since you would see your character’s back from up-close).
So you see I’m giving you many reasons why this is just unacceptable.
And the game is getting old and this is still an issue?
Don’t expect me to be non-frustrated and patient about it please because this is really lazy work now to fix camera it would be absolutely easy work for a programmer, just devs need to give the order!
I cannot comprehend how an earth you want us to do puzzles with such a terrible camera control? Especially with Char, doing puzzles, its crazy frustrating. Sure I won’t give up and do it over and over but I’m cursing you all the way while I’m doing it! The player model just falls so many times due to stuck obstacles, slipping. The camera either show me my back (even closed in to the closest) or the screen shacking because the camera stuck between the player model and world objects. And you want me to do puzzles like this?!!
You had no feedback about this before ever in the lifetime of mmos? I can’t believe how can you ignore something like this.
Look at my fresh new videos recorded. I spent hours since yesterday on puzzles and recorded them.

Need 1st person view please! This cannot go any further like this!
I’ve repaired game files. The issue still exists game freezing and exits to desktop numerous times a day, hindering me for playing longer events really. Any official help?q
Thanks for trying to help but this is the place where I ask you to stop.
I’m dealing with IT and PC for more than 20years. My system is stress-tested multiple times I know what I’m doing. Memtest, Prime95 burst and full test, graph burn and stress tests, etc. All is fine, no bluescreen, glitches. I know all of this.
Altough you were right about drivers for sure (again, using beta drivers for long time I barely had any issues though). Currently I got only a little fps issue remaining on occasions, so the beta driver replacement helped a lot for sure.
The engine is terribly optimised. I’ve participated in an open event yesterday, there were 15-20people at one place fps went down below 20. I would probably have to go down to medium or even lower graph settings to be able to play big events. On a pc where other games just shine in highquality if not even ultra?!! Just look at borderlands 2, warframe, battlefield 3, diablo 3, etc. I play those on high and ultra settings with no issues.
Never mind though I’m not spending too much time on this game anyways and it clearly shows that no official support for issues like mine. So thanks for the help and replies I appreciate it.
No other games are freezing I can run anything that is not beta game for 24/7. I’m underclocking my rams as well they are not running on 1866Mhz but just 1500ish due to the cpu clock ratings.
Ok wait, so your doing a Front side bus Over clock?
You need to undo that OC and retest GW2. Pushing your CPU (and your chipset!!) like that for a game such as GW2 could be the root cause of all of this for you.
Remember GW2 is extremely CPU dependent. So even if your OC is stable in other applications, that does not mean its stable for GW2. [/quote]

I was thinking about verifying game files because the missing animation stuff. Either they are missing physically or sometimes the game makes an error and not loading them in the ram.
Also have to check on what class I have the issue. I play more than one char and not all of them having the problem.
So it looks like you created yet another new topic if your crash log?
Anyway let me highlight troubling areas.

All right,
I’ve uninstalled beta driver, cleaned registry and files for all amd related drivers. Reinstalled the latest nonbeta drivers. I do see a significant fps boost over the beta drivers, so thats sure, main issue I had was because of the beta drivers. Thanks for the idea (got used to use betas for half a year since I constantly had nonbeta driver issues earlier to be honest).
However…
I still having issues, crashes. Already sent numerous crash reports and was fed up the daily 5+ freezes so I made a separate forum topic as well.
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/support/tech/Game-crash-daily-5-times-constant-nuisance/first#post4304086
This proves my concerns. There are issues with the interface/engine. There are some memory, or engine related issues (prob. numerous to be honest).
I’m seriously surprised how can such an “old” game have such a beta feel to it technically. You guys really have to step it up if you wanna see money from me ever again. I won’t buy groceries that is a bit off or I got a label on it that will expire tomorrow and I have to eat it in less than 24 hours. So is with games I won’t pay a dime for a product that is in a bad shape and got multiple technical issues and logical as well (considering to post another try thread to get attention to my other issues again, like in every half a year I do).
There is some issue with post processing and effect rendering I assume.
On areas where are no fog or big light effects the fps goes up to 60ish. But if there is an area with even one foggy part or a bigger light source the fps drops drastically. Also there seems to be some caching issue, when I do a big u turn with my character I get fps spike for a second or two.
There is definitely something wrong with the engine or some incompatibility with the current AMD Beta drivers.
Well theres your issue. your running Beta drivers. What do ya expect? You can’t expect anything labeled as Beta to work 100% of the time.
Reroll to 14.4v2-release and have a working PC like 99% of the rest of us that use AMD cards
I was really lucky to finish a secret passage and after I just jumped out from that area my game crashed again. I need help with this issue. Attaching the crash error as a file.

Let’s see what other DX9 games I’m playing. Ohh, Warframe. I use 64bit version but DX9 (because WF crashing in DX11 way too much, bad bad beta).
But in dx9 I got no fps glitches, no low framerates, nothing. I also play Borderlands 2, Defiance, Dota 2, neverwinter (that is also in DX9, way too crappy and slow in DX11). But no such huge 30+ fps drops like in here.
If GW2 is an old game and the driver is new and it once worked and now doesn’t, that seems to indicate the new driver is the problem. ANet is simply generating brand neutral calls to Microsoft’s Dx9 standard. If in the process of interpreting those calls AMD’s attempt of optimization to speed execution messes up, that’s on AMD and not ANet.
It’s been indicated in the past that ANet neither works with nVidia or AMD to “optimize” the calls being made. It would be like Microsoft telling developers how to right their code so Microsoft’s compiler will compile correctly instead of insisting Microsoft to write a compiler that is compliant with the programming language standard.
Dx9 has been around forever. It’s behavior is very well defined. If AMD’s current BETA driver is handling it while the previous WHQL driver did, well again, it’s AMD’s problem, not ANet’s.
If that would be the case, then ALL GAMES would suffer from this issue on DX9.
I already said that there is no such issue with other games -except with one or two-, similarily like GW2.
There are cases, when the driver’s fault it is and not the games. These issues usually arise when a beta game gets released and then both AMD/Nvidia and the game’s creator reallize that they found a new bug in the drivers. Since GW2 is quiet old game now that probably not the case. This issue is probably with the calls/coding of GW2.
Obviously not saying that if only me got the problem then everyone else got the problem. But other way around is true as well: If only one game acts like this on my pc and the rest isn’t there is some issue with the game not the rig.
It’s not ANet’s problem if graphic drivers are messed up. A game is written to, in this case, the Dx9 API. Now it’s up to the video card driver company to write their software to take the output of Dx9 calls and implement them correctly on their hardware.
So this is an issue for AMD and not ANet. That said the game does have performance issues. It essentially has a main tread, a rendering thread and a slew of utility threads. Dx9 is less efficient than the current Dx11. But a lot of that goes back to when the engine was first written and what was the common hardware at that time.
As for graphic settings, both reflections and shadows can load down the CPU more than one think it should. Also the renderer has problems when more players are present. You can use the Character Model Limit and Quality settings to adjust that. Limit limits the number of other players that are rendered and Quality determines how many player characters are drawn with their actual model vs a generic placeholder.

-I’ve tried to set everything to low.
-I stand to the wall turn the camera as much as I can so the least things should be rendered.
-I get 45fps tops.
-Moving around is even worse, the game got serious fps spikes just to move around in city, so far I didn’t even step out from city, trying to figure out what is going on.
My machine is an I7-920@4Ghz, 12GB DDR1800 ram, HD6990 Dual GPU AMD VGA, games installed on RAID 3×250GB SATA II Disks, System Runs from a 120GB Corsair Force GT SSD. I can run every game on -almost- every game in ultra quality, I can easily hit the 60fps constant.
There is some settings maybe that is bugged or I have to set, anyone could help me out please? (checked the sticky topic already with the fps issues posted a year ago but it didn’t help).
Just came back to check on this game but if this goes like this then… Wow… ;-(
Just closed the game again (and again), in frustration. Not able to complete simple map objectives (to reach/go through certain areas), because of the constant and instant respawns of monsters.
I’m constantly attacked can’t get a second breath, and more importantly overwhelmed by 4-5enemies constantly. I kill them once, fine then they suddenly, in less than like ten seconds they respawn.
Why I dare to ask? What is the deal with this? Is this a bug? I doubt because every monster and every area does this. You want to force me to find a party? Well I just logged in for a bit of a play, I don’t want to party up for that, thank you for deciding for me. And if I want to party up: MY low level area on the server is quiet a bit empty, I do see one or two player around but they are not playing low lvl anymore (which I do because thats what I want to do).
All in all, after more than half a year this is still a dire issue, makes the game totally frustrating and uplayable.
If you say this is fine and I should learn to play then I just delete the game, thank you very much, because after 8years of WOW and 15+yrs of playing a LOT of games I’m not a noob.
Dear Dev. Team!
To be honest I didn’t play GW2 too often in the last couple of weeks. I was barely able to do the daily achievement without bumping into a bug. The game has a LOT of problems currently. -not sure when this started but I reached the point where I rather don’t want to struggle with the game anymore. Some example from top of my head:
-Monster’s reset irrationally quickly: I dodge, evade, jump backwards and when a monster moved out of its original position like 20-25 feet (still receiving damage during this time constantly), they go back to their original location and regenerate and evade attacks. This is a constant nuisance, 2 out of 5 monsters doing this regularly for me.
-Monsters in water are really bugged: Many times monsters evading attacks (in open water, front of me). and resetting (even though barely moved out from the original location).
-Evading attacks in water shoot you out to like 100 meters: With my rogue the water combat literally impossible. Skills that pushes me backwards are shooting me out like crazy backwards and monsters can’t even reach me (thus they reset, before I swim back towards them).
I wrote these down since I do see these for at least a week or more and maybe no one reported them, not sure. Hope you can fix these, totally ruining the game for me unfortunately.
Thanks for reading, see you later!
Just want to congratulate for the buggy, unplayable event that was so frustrating for me that I don’t even care about your events anymore.
I’ve tried to get involved in the first phase twice. Had to walk around the world to talk with a guy, follow him (was really unclear to be honest and not just me but others were confused too what to do). Then when I researched ON THE WEBSITE what to do (failed again, I shouldn’t have to look around on forum and wiki to figure out what to do IN GAME), I saw like 50 people waiting at the location(s), killing monsters. And the quest giver(s) were bugged.
At phase two I was smarter I didn’t even go to the other side of the world with half an hour travel or spending big bucks, first I asked my guild mates and they said that’s bugged too, not working yet (more than one player told me, and they tried multiple times not just once).
So yeah, grats.
I don’t expect GW2 being a perfect product, don’t think I want you to give me a perfect game (since no monthly fee and all) without bugs. But such special occasions NEED to be bug free. Or you lost the customer’s interest.
You lost mine, totally.

Refere a freind please?!!!
I read the main announcement, its almsot end of 12th and I have no clue how to get my GF into the trial yet.
Please advise!
Since today I’m unable to populate the sell window.
-Tried more than one char, same, empty.
-Tried to search for inventory item name on search on the window, window stays empty
-Tried right click on item in bag, and click sell… nothing comes up the sell your stuff window stayed empty
-tried to change game resolution -thinking maybe its interface issue-, no help.
The other tp windows are working fine! But my Sell tab is always empty, nothing is coming up on it!
What should I do? :S
So? you think a warrior would last 2 hits when he stand too close in high tier?
Use your mechanics correctly.
My point exactly. Thats not a good mechanic, if the pet supposed to die in a battle vs. 2-3 monsters. This is not a good mechanic for a pet system. Let the pet have a chance to live through a 10sec battle seriously!
necromancers are fine but use a different build.
Then you just saying don’t use the pets if they are crap (like everyone else I spoken to?). Another reason why this is really broken, if you cant use it or its annoying then it need to be addressed.
Hunter pets wouln’t last either, they’re just clean cannon fodder.
I disagree, my pet nicely lives through a huge battle, sure I have to heal it but at least I have a chance to heal it up properly. With necro the only option to heal is with the spells like staff spells and those are not able to outheal the incoming dmg on them either. They die either way.
Besides its really not a hunter pet to start with, so I shouldn’t heal demonic minions, because they are fragile. Ok I get it, bone minions are for easy sacrification and I use it too that way. But Blood Fiend and Bone Fiend just dies from two bigger hits [since they agro every stupid enemy I attack]. I want the enemy to attack me not my pets, they supposed to be dps pets not tank pets isn’t it?
@VakarisJ: Maybe they do good damage but they don’t last two hits mate. I’m serious. In a combat with 2 enemies, it dies. To resummon it after every combat, I don’t see the point of this, its really boring, repetitive.
@BCDragon: I’ve put it in bugs, because that just can’t be intentional that they agro and die that fast. They need a fix, not a “feature change”.
They die from a couple of hits, they hit like a bug sting, I constantly have to either try to heal them or just resummon them, they are really really feeling useless. I’m lvl 15 btw.
The pets also get aggro and monsters attack them thus the never ending circle of pet dieing re-summoning is just happening again and again. Very very frustrating and useless gameplay concept, sorry to say.
I just use some attack spells rather than the pets they are really useless in the current form.
Please make them tougher, more hp, more armor, and dont let them agro the monsters! Thanks
I noticed here and there some conversation parts missing. Currently I see a lot of conversation missing from Countess Anise’s Talk during personal story conversations.
How about an option for making a screenshot when you watch vistas and the camera travel is ended and you see the place fully? would love to see through my screenshots hell I would love to make a desktop wallpaper group from it.
Would be awesome.
I’m really missing this feature, so I could better interact more with my enemy and targets and choose between them, support my comrades, etc, etc.
Thanks in advance.
Hey guys,
Any chance to get a button that when you push you get the emotes listed, like /cheer and /cry and all there is to know about emotes and play them?
Also any chance to get emotes related to targets like:
<My name> Cheers at <XY>
And I personaly wouldn’t mind a small movable emote button either with more serious emotes, like fall back, help, heal me, charge, attack my target, etc… but thats just for the future, for now button would do just perfect!
Thanks in advance!
Yes, I haveexperienced the NPC voice badly positioning the direction with drastic fade out.
Today I also noticed drastic amkount of spell sound not playing at all. To be honest I was playing for hours, somewhere after a couple of hours I realized that swiftness and shielding sounds are not playing.
UPDATE2:
-The “blowup” effect sound is terrible loud compared to other effect’s volume. Please lower it it just blows our ears out!
I was really happy and surprised to see a 3rd person view camera location slider in GW2. But the camera handling in GW2 follows the old and many times frustrating basic aspects. Hopefuly a gm will see this post and agree with me. In many times the visuals are not be able to enjoyed fully because of the blocky view of our character.
I propose the following (as I did in years for WoW developers too but they didn’t really listen):
1.) Put the center of the camera above the character’s head. In that way, if you zoom in, you still see your character, but not disctracting your view at all, when you fully zoomed in. Every mmo put the camera centered either on model’s upper or middle body, wich is really a big disctraction.
2.) When you look up and pull the view upwars (mouse down) and the camera hit the ground thus blocking the camera movement, the camera frustratingly ends up behind your character, thus -again- you dont see anything else just your character. In such cases the camera should move above your character again, OR if the center of the camera would be above your character you would see -a bit- more.
3.) The camera position is an amazing options! Please make it useful and move the furthest left/right a bit even further. That way we could really get a much better view on close quarter combat.
4.) Be able to move the camera further away from the character (like 10-20% more at least) please. On some cases you would really like to see a bit more of the surroundings.
5.) I wouldn’t mind a first person look either, when you zoom in with the camera, but that’s just me and thats only useful -again- if the view is not on such a low center like now, since you really don’t see anything, just a “waist height” like that.
I really really hope someone consider this and do that really small change in some of the upcoming patch.
Big thank you in advance!

Please give us option to turn off mouse smoothing!

@RocketPuppy: As you see from Zefream’s reply as well we don’t have graph issue, we play MMOs for years (and fps) we know what we talking about. This is not a bug or graph related issue, its merely mouse handling.
Vsync off just introduce a lot of screen lines as page buffering and loading the screen goes “out of synch” (not a perfect explanation of vsynch, sorry for that). Since I got a good vga I don’t really need this option, I play the game with 40+ fps. Useful option if you got lot of fps lag or low fps, used it in the past, but not for years.
Please, give us mouse smoothing option so we can turn this off, and as Zefram perfectly put it, get rid of the wobbly screen move.
Got SB X-Fi surround pro 5.1 external sound card. I don’t think I got sound driver related issues, everything works fine. No glitching sounds, my music creation software and piano gear works fine too (no additional driver, or tweak is installed for me, just basic SB driver really).
So, its really hard to tell what’s the sound issue. But I think still sound is missing (like monsters attacking me, they don’t growl, or sound “hurt”), yesterday the first time ever I realized other player’s step sound in the water and it was awfully loud too!
Also the voices from near events also seems very loud (you know when quest npcs calling out for your help). And sometimes I hear a much more detailed spell sound when I cast certain spells than it usually sounds like.
I know its really not too much feedback and the problem is that basically I got no clue what should I hear normaly so not sure what kind of sound is missing. But In general I feel that the game is missing enviromental sounds, more “event” sounds, effects not playing, etc.
Thanks for reading and I’ll try to be more specific later on, and update this topic with more details (I’ll try to listen out for the sounds now).
Update1 (5.1 settings):
-Effect volumes are not properly in synch: character steps are very quiet (on 50% effect volume, the water effects feels like on 10% volume strength), compared to combat sounds wich is kind of loud on the same, 50% effect volume.
-I believe water sounds, moving through bush (if there is any particular sound for that? I didn’t hear it so far) should be related to enviromental sounds, rather than “effect”, but thats just an opinion.
-Event NPC voices are crazy loud (dialogue volume on 50%) compared to other npc sounds
-general npc conversations are very quiet (dialogue volume 50%), and the npc conversation fade out distance is way too high, after 10-15steps you can barely hear what they say.
UPDATE2:
-The “blowup” effect sound is terrible loud compared to other effect’s volume. Please lower it it just blows our ears out!

Please give us option to turn off mouse smoothing!

Dear GW2 team,
I reallized what is weird for me with fps/mouse movement. The game smoothing out the mouse (look) movement, which is to me very annoying, it feels like the system is slow to react. I like immediate mouse movement and no need to smoothen it out for me.
Could you please give us an option to turn off mouse smoothing, mouse acceleration, etc?
Would be amazingly grateful!

Yes I confirm that the game sounds are cut off while speakers are set to 5.1.
Try setting in windows and your sound card driver to stereo, 2.1 or headphone.
You will hear a HUGE difference.
Ok I look into this later on today, thanks!
If you’re not hearing sounds try updating your audio drivers. Also, I find that when I set my speaker settings to stereo while using 5.1 speakers or have it set to 5.1 while I’m using headphones a lot of the sounds cut out. So make sure to configure your speakers correctly before running the client. Hope this helps.
Here we go again, I love people with such comments. Do you believe if every other game and windows just fine… there must be something wrong with the “system” if ONE game has some issues? Really guys? Really? X.x
I had similar fluctuations on my tri-fire setup and the latest CAP stabilized performance for me.
I remember BF3 and D3 having graphics performance issues post release and my fix was also CAP and Driver updates. I’m sure there were client updates as well but the CAP and Drivers offered the most noticeable improvements.
Detto… something just happened yesterday and I was surprised that the turning gut WAY MORE SMOOTHER now! Well done guys, keep it coming, I might have to try and turn on some ultra lods and shadows too
Okay thanks yes I didn’t reallize that simple tools are soulbond at the time. Sorry.
This is funny. I actually find the game has too much sound, and by default is balanced in a way where everything sounds like it’s at the same volume (like sound effects are WAY too upfront compared to music and the rest). I actually play the game on mute most of the time.
I recall GW had similar way of working with “enviromental sounds” and I’m sure people got used to it.
To me, sound is just as important as look and I got good ears for sounds, and sound in games need to give you feedback as well. For instance if you run in jungle and behind the bush there is an animal that you just agroed, should growl. In fact if there is a pack of anymals you could hear them by growling and you have the “ohh boy” feeling… when 2 leopards attacking you and you and you just hear them from behind the bush? Priceless IMHO.)
Or when you hear the combat from the distance between the animals in the forest, a forest leopard and a bee or something… it gives a LOT to the enviroment, you sink into it much more deeply.
Thig game -on the sound topic- feels like you play the game with “no sound” because you are on the phone, or your GF is talking and you need to be quiet…
Missing the epicness in my eardrums.
I reallized after a week of play why I don’t feel that “epicness” most of the time during combat, adventuring, gathering.
There are literaly no sound around you when you play!
-Monsters got no sound (when they attack, when they get hurt, no aggro sound, etc.)
-Enviroment got no sound (when you move through bush, rocky road, dirt, grass, etc, except maybe when you enter water)
-I usualy play enviromental sound option turned up to max (in wow for instance) and here in GW2 almost no background sounds at all!
So we all agree that the graph and the enviroment looks amazing. I just think that from sound perspective you really missing a lot!
Like that big giant forest monsters in Caledon Forest? They just got no grunting sound, no “stomping sound” when they move, the ground doesn’t shake… its just painfully silent.
You really really need to add WAY MORE sound to this game, the “epic” feel comes when all of the senses have the “wow” feel to a game!
P.S.: Got SB X-Fi surround pro 5.1 external Soundcard, quiet top-notch, stuff (still), and Im using all high quality, maxed out “everything” so its not my sound system faulty. :P Every other game got really cinema quality effects.
I was kind of surprised when I was out of mining tool and asked a fellow adventurers to lend me some.
Then we couldn’t find “trade” window anywhere. I checked right click player frame, then I invited him to group, still no trade option.
I also asked him to just send me via mail, but guess what you can’t send the tools via mail, which is also kind of weird.
How do you hand over stuff to people during play? O.o
Turn on VSync and see if it helps also while I don’t know if they had an issue with ATI cards factory Overclocked Nvidia cards had issues in the beta events that non factory overclocked cards did not have. Reducing the clock rate to the Nvidia specified default rate made the factory OC cards not have the problems so might try that.
Tried that too. Not really a solution for fps spikes, the control then would get really lagish.
There’s a million people playing who aren’t having problems. It’s quite likely it’s not a problem with the quality of the engine.
blocked ports, antivirus, firewall, router issues, overheating, bad drivers
You haven’t listed any of the troubleshooting steps you’ve taken.
If that would be the case I would have SOME kind of issues with other games. Which I don’t have. So its the game.
If you would have played Battlefield 2 at the start or Diablo 3 at the first month you would understand this. These are the closest example I can give you with some kind of graphical/driver LIKE issue, but it was the game all along. Many people experienced it, of course not the majority.
I’m telling you the engine got issues, and I’m telling you with more than 15 years of gaming experience behind my back. If that doesn’t prove anything for you than nothing.
I sent countless of bug reports to Blizzard too with issues, I know how to find issues.
However I’m not going to do what you suggest: Reinstall game, reinstall driver, etc. Because its mindless and from your point of you and logic its the first step. But the most stupid thing to start with,
IF YOU DONT HAVE ANY OTHER ISSUES WITH OTHER GAMES THAT CANT BE DRIVER NOR SYSTEM ISSUE.
I don’t use firewall software other than Microsoft security essential. So that cant be the issue either.
I run almost the same setup except i7-920 @ 4.0 and a 7970.
Monitor is at 1920×1200 and wow.. awesome looking game with 60FPS (Vsync) constantly. I’m not complaining.
Yes people who got no issues aren’t complaining usually.
But I saw some similar videos on youtube, so there must be some optimisation issue. Mouse movement is really laggish/slow, fps spikes all around, on big turns, screen jittering.
Other games on my system goes fine, BF3, Diablo 3 (now after some fixes, had similar issues too though at the beginning), WoW (smooth like crazy, constant 60fps and looks great too, even though outdated engine a bit, but still can be very demanding in pvp and raid and still runs smooth).
Oh, it just wasn’t clear. I suppose you mean Sylvari. It might be an issue with the race’s individual quest difficulty scaling, I suppose.
Oops, sorry you’re right, Sylvari.
I’m an elementalist too and I never had problem with personal story quests even if few lvl above mine. Try using different set of weapon, it might help kill it faster.
I’m using Scepter/Dagger combo, got 48% crit rating I think that should hit like a mule. These weapon sets got similar helaing spells too on water attun. Two spells that should help (made another topic about this, these healing spells are TERRIBLE weak, healing less than 10% of HP, which is useless in a combat, considering they got high CD).
I got very good hardware, BF3 on ultra constantly gives 50-80fps. And thats an insane demanding engine I hope you agree!
This game however, constantly drops down to 15-20 and goes up to 100+. I was fiddling with settings, turned down AA, and LOD view distance too, that didn’t help either, so I have to say that the engine BADLY need a fix.
My Spec: Intel i920 @ 3.7Ghz, Ati HD6990 (O’clocked), 6GB 1866Mhz DDR3 Ram, SB Xfi surround Pro 5.1, 24" Dell HD tft 1920*1200… So no my pc is (still) high-end.
What is your race? I have no issues myself as a Human. It may be a good idea to form a party to help if you’re having issues with a particular quest.
Sorry I don’t feel like forming a party for a personal story. This supposed to work alone, this is not a dungeon. I wrote down the race too. Sylvian
No matter what fps I got, no matter what graph settings I use I got very slooooow screen movement when I try to look around, follow my character. No matter if I set low quality graph, vsynch on/off.
This is the most frustrating thing in the game. The responsiveness for the mouse look and mouse “movement” is just terrible! Please fix ASAP!
So basicaly these spells Water Trident and Cleansing Wave heals less than 10% of your HP. Totally useless.
By the time you try to heal up just a bit (since you use healing spells when you need to heal righ?), the time you swapped to water attunement, and pushed that two lousy spell you died.
So yeah, need BADLY need much more healing from these spells, or give some different spells and bigger dmg, because in that form water attun. is useless compared to fire/air/earth
LOL!
I managed to kill a big pack of destroyers… alone, witouth the npc helper group… THEN to my suprise another such group appeared! Awesome! I just quit this kitten probably, I’m not dealing with this crap.
Sylvian, lvl20, downgraded to lvl16 at personal story, yet I’m constantly dieing and dieing. If this supposed to be a single player, story mode then you guys terribly failed. I can only kill the enemy destroyers one by one IF I’M LUCKY, and death is guaranteed during a fight.
This is not the first time, it happened many times during my lvl14-20 experience, even in open world events.
Feels like diablo 3 inferno level tune-up. Terrible, and Congrats!
/big breath not to harm my own computer thats how its frustrating this is/
P.S.: Elementalist, using arcane shield, mist form and self heal to just keep myself alive for one lousy kill. I stun, CC, blind enemies and use AOE spells.
All my equipment is broken too. So no, I’m not that bad but this is just pathetic, to send 8-10destroyers against one player.
Really amazingly frustrating!
