Something like this happens to Staff #2 skill when you try to use it on a heavily surrounded enemy. It doesn’t do any damage. I think it could be happening when the orb goes through a determined number of players while healing them.
Can anyone confirm this?
I like this suggestion, the handicap that is standing still while casting it could be compensated with this.
It has been a while since you said that the PvP team was working on something like this. Can we have an update on how is this going?
Thank you.
It’s been finally fixed on today’s patch.
Thank you Anet.
I have been trying the 2 sample builds you posted here during the last two weeks on all the aspects of the game, sPvP included, and I have to say they work just great.
For Hotjoin I did swap SY with SyG for sPvP in the first one, and MI with CoP in the second one. You can also put sigils of energy in your weps for extra dodging. For the gameplay, the first one would be an epic support AoE damage for teamfights and the second sample would suit for roaming.
Congratulations for such a nice guide.
1. Templates: will have to come along with build diversity and balance.
2. Underwater finishers.
3. Address the rallying system: something like limiting the number of people rallied when stomping an enemy to one. One enemy stomped, one ally rallied. The others remain downed.
We are going to unsticky this thread due to the frequency of these posts. Many of these issues are so different that it would greatly benefit us if they could be individual specific threads instead of one giant sticky post.
Thank you.
Opening a specific thread then.
Pretty much what this guy said in this thread https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/support/bugs/March-Issues-with-character-art-weapons-or-armor/first :
Race: Sylvari
Gender: Male
Armor: Oaken GlovesThe end of wooden spikes seem to be stuck in place when moving around.

It’s still unresolved for male characters since the release, although it seems ok on female sylvari.
+1 to the group of people suffering from this.
Still waiting on Magi Ascended.
We have been waiting for a while now!
Today wandering around in LA, I found the twin warrior version of myself… O_o
Any sign of Magi ascended yet?
Hopefully it’ll come on April’s patch…
What would be the alternative for Magi with the current stat combos?
Time for some april bumping!
Completely agree, check this thread:

I’ll draw you a picture. Since the whole armor is rigid (one of the consecuences of being made of wood and bark). And since the gloves emulate some log or branches, the end of the gloves should be straight and shouldnt bend over like I show in the picture.
Only can be appreciated when you enter in combat, or when the character scratches his head, when the arm is resting, the glitch is unnoticeable.

Bumping this just in case our loved devs wanna consider it for the next patch. <3
Since another big patch went live and the report some players made about it was unnoticed, I’m starting a new thread to ask this. I was expecting a fix to this since it’s been broken for some time and it’s been put up in other threads several times without response.
When could we expect a fix to this glitch?
I was expecting to find this stat combination added with the patch, and just like you I was disappointed. I wonder if they’ll add it in the future, so I can save my laurels for that moment.
I’d be happy by just fixing the broken gloves on male sylvari t3.
I just bought the gloves and man was I upset to find out they are glitched when you move. Look at how bad that’s glitched.
https://dviw3bl0enbyw.cloudfront.net/uploads/forum_attachment/file/27483/gw018.jpg
WTF Anet? That better get fixed asap cause I dropped 12 gold on that. :/
I agree with you folks, that you may like or not the looks of the armor, but could we get this fixed?
This was already fixed with the January patch.
It’s seems it’s not fixed.
In that case it got fixed only for female characters. They were just like that before the patch on my guardian, but they got fixed after the January patch.
Pretty strange that they’d fix it only for one gender…
Perhaps no one noticed before because every cultural t3 user switched gender to female, lol.

I just checked glory vendors to craft myself a good looking trident on the Mystic Forge for my underwater fights in the Capricorn and found out there’s no such thing as “Trident Token” available on glory vendors. Every other weapon token seems to be there but the Trident isn’t. Could anyone else please verify this?

I think all sylvari cultural armors look WAY more awful on male characters. Not to mention that T2 heavy has different amount of color options on different genders: on females it’s 2 dye slots on coat and leggings, while males have 3 dye options on those. And those 3 look much more horrible, rather than female 2 xD They just add more mess to the armor Actually T2 for female is more like a medium pretty armor :P T2 on a male is a dirty ugly breastplate of a poor warrior, who made it himself from some junk scraps and leaves.
Now to those who critique the color choice of the OP I will say that it’s really hard to come up with a good scheme. There are two main reasons – first is skin tone colors, that spread all over your armor. And second is – there are no “strict” borders, each dye affects it’s neighbor dye in a very profound way. After using “usual armors” made of cloth, metal, leather – it’s very hard to adapt to that leaf-blending mayhem. You can’t just make it red and white in most cases – you will have some mess between reddish-whitish-grayish+your skin tone bloops all over the place.
And once again, to compare it – take female T2 and male T2: on a female you at least can make a nice distinctive line on leggings, different from the main color of your choice, on a male it’s all a messy mess. They just blend all over, making it look horrible. Now it’s not totally impossible to make it look nice, it’s just very limiting in a way.
I agree 100% with you, sir.
I’ve been in a dilema for a while now, to get heavy t3 or not to get it.
You’ll always look cooler on a t3 cultural for most of the people (omg, he haz dat 120g armor!), plus there’s a few people wearing it at the moment, so you’ll look more exclusive. Too few people wearing it. Even if the cost is prohibitive, the users of human heavy t3 is like 10×. And the reason for that is that many people share the opinion I quoted here.
It’s been surprisingly to read that many of the people who replied here actually like this set, yet, many agreed that on female characters it looks much better, with which I agree once again.
It’s been a while since I’m wearing cultural t2, and after many many tries I found some colour combination that suits my pale sylvari, but still sometimes I get bored and try some new colour combination with a fatal success. But leaving the colouring aside, the t3 gear looks much less “heavy” to me, the legs are almost free of armor, the small boots and some bark from the skirt covering half thigh. One lonely shoulder looking decompensated with the extravagant gauntlets, and then the helmet looks nice.
On female characters this looks way more compensated.
This armor is needed to finish some achievement even.
Some redesign for males fixing the issues I listed would make me get it immediatly, because if it’s true I don’t like it overall, it’s an original set.
Happened to us yesterday night aswell, I posted this 10h ago in the wrong subforum.
Hi there.
It’s been an hour now since we sent an ingame ticket detailing the following:
We’ve been playing a paid tournament match in the temple of the silent storm map and after the match ended and we won, we didn’t get ported back to the Mists nor got any reward from it, but a mail saying Turnament refound, containing a ticket.
The button “go to the heart of the mists” in the pvp panel is greyed out, the go to wvw feature doesn’t work (you get a loading screen and the another loading screen directing you back to the temple), same happens when you try to join a friend in spvp, same happens if you relog to any toon in your account, you get ported into this map, same happens when you totally close your game client and restart it, it even happens when you guest on another server, same happens when you falconpunch the screen, same happens when you throw a napalm bomb…
Now, I just logged in game and I’m apparently free. Got the “Roster not found” error. Yet, no chest, no qualifying points, no rank points have been awarded.

Around 21 mins he is asked about saving builds and he replies it’s not something they’re working on but he can see them adding it further down the line. Not confirmed, but as he said they can them building it. there are also others but i’m not going to search for every interview it’s asked on.
Thanks for the link, I missed that one. It’s a good thing that they got it in mind at least but, this is something they have already done in GW1 and hopefully wouldn’t take too many resources to be implemented. This being said, the more people supporting this idea the faster they’ll realize it’s something that needs to be added as soon as possible.
It’s np, good to hear more and more people misses this feature.
Updated the first post including a link showing how the tool worked in GW1.
I started a topic relating this issue a few days ago, you might wanna take a look into it:
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/suggestions/Tool-Build-Saving-system
Also, would be nice if any Mod could merge both threads.
With build saving system I’m referring to the GW1 feature which let you save several different builds and switch from one to another quickly and without taxes.
One of the most important things is that it wouldn’t be a gold sink.
For those who might not know, this tool it’s not intended to respecc yourself for free, it just allows you to swap from a build to another you have previously saved. So you would have to pay for a respecc, then, when your build is done and it’s tweaked you save it. After that you wanna try another build you are experimenting with, you pay for a respecc as usual but, in case you want to go back to your previous build you just open this tool, search on your previously saved builds, and load the one you want. You would be able to save plenty of builds.
If it had to have any restriction, would be enough to make it work only in the big cities such as Rata Sum, The Grove, LA, etc , in the Heart of the Mists and in the WvW bases. That would solve your problem.
Totally agree. I don’t really understand why some nice things from GW1 haven’t been maintained on GW2. Also, this tool would synergize with the “every class can perform any role” making the role change much more easy; each player would have a support build, a tanky build, a dpsing build… versatility, variety, gameplay, after all.

I’ve seen people writting about it in some threads but haven’t seen any response from a dev yet. I’d like such a handy tool to be implemented.
If there’s a reference about a dev talking about it in the forums I’d be grateful if anyone could paste here the link of that thread. If not, would be nice to hear a response from a dev concerning this matter.

Staff:
Orb of light seems to be pretty random when you aim at big targets or a target that is really close. On larger targets it just flies up in a random direction, missing the target, also ,when aiming at mobs on a different elevation it might go underground and gets lost, missing most of the targets aswell. It also happens that if you don’t detonate the orb, and it went underground due to this randomness, it might takes a longer period that it should to recover it’s original form and stays in your skill bar ready to detonate when you can’t even see the orb.I already explained why the orb displays that random behaviour in a previous post, which is because it predicts the mob movement ( if the mob stops moving the orb will seem to just fly to a weird location)
About the orb sometimes never expiring and just perma prompting you to detonate it ive seen it very rarely.
Sorry, must have missed your post then.
So, just because the orb predicts the movement of your target, the attack should miss when it changes direction? sounds silly to me. Sometimes I’ve seen the damage on the target even if the orb visual effect is like miles away though. Also the detonating issue happens to me often, mostly when the orb goes underground or flies up.

I have found myself having some storage problems lately, I don’t have much room in my inventory and my 2 bank containers are full, purchasing additional slots would be an option but it’s pretty expensive and chaotic.
So I’m wondering if we could have a PvE Locker like we do in sPvP to contain some bartering items like instance tokens (increasing its stacking size to 1.000), it could also contain specific armour sets and weapons, etc. I’d also like to be able to use the deposit all collectibles option with rare crafting materials, that way we’d be able to save some more slots.
