I also wanted to let everyone know that today is all about announcing the expansion, but later this week we will be talking about some of the upcoming updates for WvW.

Maps and new Elite Specs. This is what I care about. They’ve given us one more map tham HoT and this expac costs less. As far as I’m concerned, these already make it worth it. Apparently, they’re the largest maps yet, so I’m very happy about this. GW2 for me is about exploring new places and participating in cool open world events. I do fractals, but it’s not at the top of my totem poll for gameplay enjoyment. This expansion is pretty much tailored to my gameplay preferences.

Can’t wait and I’m preordering as soon as I get home.

Since release of the official game I haven’t seen any new dungeons coming up, the state of WvW is just into let it bleed to death. PvP with the condi meta is just beyond horrible. You got couple of more fractals in 1.5 years. WvW rewards took ages to come, and most important things as (skill)lags and such are being forgotten.

In short a big money grab and giving nothing.

Also I heard the word “puzzle” alot, and a thing I truly hate in games is doing puzzles. In the financial business my life contains only of making puzzles and doing puzzles in a game is really something I dont want.

Other than that no content, no dungeons, no raids, no new wvw map, no new pvp things, no new class, no new race. And a release this fast makes me worry, HoT was bad…but it makes me think this expansion will be even worse.

They had 30 mins to announce it, im sure there will be more blogs that go into that, but as for WvW they gave us a great update recently, they destroyed it a couple of weeks later, and now its as dead as ever, I don’t think an expansion will fix that.

With a release for next month I highly doubt it there will be much more news as in more content. Perhaps I’m too pessimistic, but I thought release would be somewhere spring next year, based on expansion last time and that wasn’t even a great expansion.
So September 22 and giving more details of more content, I don’t think so.

I understand now why the release can be this fast.. No new WvW map, No new PvP, No Dungeons, No Raids, No new class, No new Race. Just a new PVE map, mounts, new class specification and that’s basicly it and that small thing for the same price. This expansion is just a big money grab for giving nothing.

Ok so I love playing WvW and have from the beginning.

So this is what has happened twice now where a commander (and this in Not new commanders) comes to a map and started asking people to join the squad and then after a while when they have a decent sized squad they started kicking Rangers and Thiefs from the squad. I PM them to ask what’s going on and the one response I go was you are a Ranger and the other one did not bother to respond.

That is messed up!

Alright, so, and this is just me and my thoughts, WvW is about PvP on a larger scale, capturing objectives, defending your lands and its structures from invaders, and ensuring this by eliminating any threats along the way, such as enemy players. Does WvW need a source to get Legendary Armor to do these things? I wouldn’t say so, being able to swap stats, is what attracts most to getting it, but beyond added pretty pixels, LArmor, is not required to do this. Just like Ascended armor is not required outside of high-tier fractals.

What it boils down to is flexibility, both sides WvW/PvE are deserving of this, and LArmor provides just that, do I feel LArmor being tied to only PvE content(Raids) as fair? No, but it doesn’t make it impossible for people who aren’t used to the content or abhor it like the plague.

If you want it, you will work for it, whatever it takes, getting out of ones comfort zone is the hard part of this, and tying it to one source doesn’t automatically say, “Anet is ignoring us, PANIC!!!”

Why should i be forced to do pve/raid material to get my wannahave things, a pve/raid player is not forced to do wvw stuff to get any good things, because there is not anything.

I’m still amazed by the amount of people making wvw forum posts, while they must notice pretty much nothing is being answered by Anet team.

We all know anet does not care about wvw, so why would you keep investing your time in these topics.

For me, i pretty much left. Sometimes play 1 or 2 times in a week wvw. At reset and midweek, When I’m there its mostly for the ingame friends. But when there is little or nothing to do I alt F4 in 10 minutes. I dont understand why wvw cannot have ascended nor legendary.

Also I dont think anything will happen for wvw with next xpac.

So all i can say, i enjoyed gw2wvw for some time, now looking for something better.

That wvw is “dead” you cannot blame anet. People chose before the BL was up it was kitten and they refused to play on it and so it happened. If wvw is dead it’s because of the players/guilds who didn’t want to play on it.

You can blame anet for the things which aren’t working properly and isn’t fixed. I do think some stuff should be not in the borderlands or has to work with WvW, but people can say we will not use it. If all people hate the PVE event in middle, don’t do it.

Also the PVE event on the new BL, on the old BL we had PVE events and even in EB there are PVE elements in it. But people seem to have forgotten that.

And if there will be a beta you will most likely have to preorder the next expansion for €/$ 50,— to participate in it, where the overhaul will be in next expansion.

You guys want to hear about what going to happen but when your faces with the really of what your asking for and the time to make it work this is how you guys react i can see why they give no info most of the time. Read just read how you guys react to any new things and ask your self why dont they add new things in.

They just got done telling us they’ve been working on it for a year. What kind of reaction do you expect when someone tells you’ve they’ve been doing something for a year and then comes along and tells you it isn’t ready? Think about that for a moment. A year is a LONG TIME to be working on something and have nothing to show for it.

Well the first thing they work on was season then EotM then the new BL so they have been adding things to wvw good or bad. Its like you think there IS something better out there to be playing but GW2 is the only good rvr that we have that has been over all good. Yes there are other games coming up that are “pure” rvr but we do not have them yet and making clams about them is foolish to say the least becuse ppl realy do not know and cant know how its going to work out.

Are you sure that your not just tired of RvR as a game type? For the most part RvR in NA do not work out ya they are fun for a time but the major guilds burn out becuse its a 24hr game type that no one can keep playing forever at that rate. This problem with rvr in NA is worst if the game is just RvR the operating cost to ppl playing alone keeps this game type from becoming a big mmorpg type.

Any way how are you worst off then you where before in wvw having read this? Look they could of waited till the last min to tell us something was going to be added there 3 months or even 1 week before the update. Are you realy going to cause black lash for them giving out info. Do you punishing some one for doing something you want them to do? A year can be long yes but a year with no info is even longer.

Watched the video again, focusing on specific players, as well as the player who recorded it. Not sure if all the blinking around is from hacks or lag, but the blinking of a few toons (not going to put their names here cuz I don’t want to be infracted, but you can read their names) over much longer distances sure does look suspect. And the recorder had BIG skill lag. Any chance it could have been caused by recording? I have no idea- just asking if those in the know might know. I know a player that doesn’t use Teamspeak because it causes him to lag.

As to skill lag during the oasis event- I have never experienced this, even with groups the size shown in the video. Never. Not once. Ever. I WAS using an nVidia GTX 660 which burned out (after only 2 years? C’mon, nVidia!) and was replaced with what I thought was a better GT 720 card, but gives me worse performance at the same settings, so I’ve had to dial down things like post processing and reflections. But I still have no lag during the oasis event. So if some people have lag and others don’t, can you blame it on Anet? If you do blame Anet, why do people like me not experience it ever, at all, at any time during the event? Please don’t argue that I’m lying or that I do experience lag but don’t notice- that will only be counter-productive and not help the issue. If you’re experiencing lag, what speed is your internet connection (I think this is where laggers will find some commonality, but I’m not sure)? Are you wireless or not? What graphics card are you using?

What does a graphic card have to do with lag, are you serious bro?? If a whole group has lag issues it is all the peoples internet provider, ofcourse.
