So, i was under the impression that all ascended gear is accountbound, and according to the wiki page, it is. But for some reason my ascended Dwayna Backpiece is not accountbound, but in fact soulbound! Now, i do not know what caused it, as i have infused it, but as i am aware that should still not make it soulbound! Anyone know how this came to be or should i ask support to fix it for me?
Just going to point out to Berserkeremir that this post is 8 months old and this problem has been solved long ago.
I keep struggling both with finding builds that are fun to play but also with GW2s idea of pvp. It seems the only viable way in pvp (and in game in general) is to simply go all out dmg and give a long one about any form of defense. Toughness doesnt do anything at all it feels like, especially when i can manage to get close to around 2100 on my warrior and it doesnt lower the damaged received by full on zerker warriors or thiefs one bit! What is the point of toughness if it doesnt make you any more tougher?!!
At the moment im rotating between my warrior, guardian and elementalist in pvp and for some reasons i just cannot pull it off with trying to hold a point. Its just not working at all! Maybe it is me being too used to actually being able to take damage from other games, but it feels more like this games emphasis on damage is totally outweighing that of defense!
So, im curious about a certain aspect about the trade post filters… why on earth cant we filter between light, medium and heavy armor?!?!?!?! O.o Its such a… how should i put it? NORMAL thing to have in MMOs! Why dont we have it yet after almost 2 years oO?
I was wondering if there were any norwegian players/guilds out there and on what servers?
Anyone knows the info or how to contact anyone within the TTS guild groups?
Actually forcing myself to play this game in the hopes that anet will begin to actually care about the players and not only the purchase of gold….
oh okay, thank kormir! (she’s a kitten but sometimes actually helps!) started to get worried that i’d have to go through the strenous process with my bank to get my money back! T.T
Today i logged onto my online bank and noticed that on the 01.05.14 my visa had been charged for what is equivalent of €35 from something called digital river luxembourg lu. Usually all gem pruchases i’ve done from anet has apperaed as DRI*ARENA.
I am curious if anyone else have receivd this type of thing after a gem purchase or if this is actually something that is not connected to arenanet at all :S
thanks for any help!
At the moment i play my mesmer in a build i made myself (as mentioned i got no clue whatsoever on how to make them useful :S )
Domination: I
Chaos: V
Inspiration: V VII
Illusions: V X XIII
Using Scepter/Sword and Greatsword.
Runes of Undead and RAbid Amulet
would appreciate any help anyone would have
Since the patch hit i’ve been doing mostly PvP but one thing i’ve noticed is that engineers just cannot be killed! at all! Every engineer ive encountered does the same thing: pop turrets and run around in a circle while thowing grenades.
I am by no means good at PvP, hell i dont know really how to make a proper PvP build! But as i see it, if a engineer stands ontop of a point there is no point in me ever trying to take it away from them by myself, maybe if we are two or three we might have a chance, but otherwise nope! How do you deal with engineers? What are their achillesheel? Which button would i need to push for it to just go “pop” and the asura engi gets his head burst open by a quaggen?! Every match i play that has a engineer in it i feel myself become more and more infuriated at the way many of them play – throw down turrets and sit there for the entire match and occasionally running around in a circle throwing grenades!
Ever since the patch hit i’ve been experiencing constant disconnect! I cannot be in the game for more than 5 minutes without it sending me back to character selection or to desktop! I know it is not my internet as everything else is working perfectly fine with any form for disconnections or lags! Dont know what was done to cause this in the patch but its annoying and it shouldnt be there! There are several people in my guild that have not been able to log onto the game since the patch hit on wednesday and as a result has just decided to stop playing for a few weeks in hopes that it is fixed.
I have 637 unid dyes as a result of the new dye system, however im at a loss as to what to do with them all seeing as i only need a few more of those gem store dyes :S Oh well, sell them for when Unid prices rise again i guess
Greetings Ladies and Lords! I have been fluffing about creating my ascended armor for some time now and in the spurr of a intoxicated moment created myself three pieces of Wei Qi ascended armor (bad form, i do agree!) However, i want to rectify this error by getting an armor which would be of use to me as a guardian!
My play style is rather crude, almost barbaric as some would describe it (simply put, run in first, smashing things to bits with my hammer, and then look around!) and would love for some of those more versed in the ways of the guardian to give me a few points in the right direction when it comes to which stats would work best!
Thank you!
Personally i think there would be 2 interesting playable races. Tengu and Krait I would love to play a Krait! Even though it most likely will never happen i can still visualize how my Krait warrior would look like in a plate armor wielding a two handed sword (or axe if that becomes implemented in the future)
So, Alphard have been bugged for a few months now, is there any plans in the near future to fix her so that path 2 doesnt take forever?
For those looking http://www.guildwars2sweepstakes.com/Entry.aspx
I live in Europe, which im pretty sure many people that play this game do, as well as in other parts of the world not known as the US. So when i saw a notice on facebook from one of my guildies that GW2 was doing a sweepstake where we have a chance of winning some amazing things i got all excited until i noticed i actually have to LIVE in the US just in order to participate. Why? Why only do this for those that live in the US when there are as i assume million of players OUTSIDE the US which is also playing? Where is our sweepstakes? Where is our chance to win those amazing things?
Happy New Year from Norway
Uhm… I can, without any mats on my hands be able to get one crafting proffesion to 500 and create for myself at least 1 weapon in less than one day. If you think that the effort to craft an ascended weapon/armor should be equal to the drop rate, then we would be seeing TONS more ascended drops! Drop rate for ascended weapons can be put at the same line was precursors almost! Ascended armor is even more rare!
Also the fact that you will be able to craft precursor in the near future, it is evident that there is a huge focus on crafting
Many places on earth that has no technology. He can be going into a monastery or a temple. Aiding help in Africa or Asia. Around the world trip… endless of possibilities… maybe even space :O
Wanted to check out the new faces… but for some reason it does no longer exist in the gem store? could anyone please explain this logic of dropping new stuff and then removing the only mean to get to the good bits?
so you can then get a refund of 18,400 gems which at todays exchange rate can get you more than 70k gold… wow
What upsets me the most about it all is that it seems to be the same persons that get the precursors! I know for a fact that she has had at least 7 precursor drops in the last MONTH. Which i was present in JP’s. I do to to twenty jps a day and all i ever get are greens and blues and after 172 days of doing this i have gotten 1 rare…. 1 RARE! She doesnt really do many jps and prefer to spend her time in wvw or in dungeons. It is the fact that some people seems by the fact that they are the ones getting the precursors that only a handful of people are actually ‘lucky’ enough to get them. RNG (which is a system i loathe more than math and my ex girlfriend) or not, it just seems wierd to me that the same people keep getting the best loot over and over and over again while some people have clocked several thousand hours trying daily to get it and yet havent seen a singel one.
So today two people in my guild threw around 10-20 rares into the mystic forge and got each 1 precursors. This isnt the first time this have happened to them as that seems to be their main source of income rather than grinding or doing dungeons. I just cannot understand how this happens. I have talked to them and they actually have less MF than me, and yet after having put god know how many rares into that kitten ed toilet nothing of real value comes out! Is there a certain trick to this magical toilet? or is it all simply based on the random rng who for some reason seem to favor the same players over and over while completely ignoring someone else?
When a person in the time of a week manage to get 5 precursors out of the forge and at that not even using 100 gold to do it, while others use close to 400-500 gold in there and not get anything… there has to be something WRONG with it… at least that is my opinion!
Out of all the possible ways you could go with this armor you went full kitten! Christ Anet! You have like a million different armor types you could have based it on, but a hedgehog (heavy armor) isnt exactly fashionable in my eyes!
so i have poured more than 1000 hours into GW2 over the past 400 days and i find myself at a point where i would love to get a legendary, but what is stopping me is that it requires such an amount of money in order to complete. Throughout the game i’ve had troubles getting past 20-25gold, reason for this i cant really say as after i have decked out my character with exotic armor, runes, weapon sets and accessories i cannot get the obscene amount of gold some players seems to simply be stumbling over on a regular basis.
I have had people in my guild which have had more than 10 precursor drops over the past month, while others havent seen a single one in their entire time of playing (rng for the win… SIKE!) Some people also play the trade post which for me doesnt seem like fun or something that i can wrap my head around and they seem to be swimming in gold!
Is there really no way to make money other than being dirt cheap lucky or spending hours looking up numbers and trying to play the trade post?
On my guardian i have decided to go all out on toughness, healing power and power and to be honest… it doesnt work, AT ALL! I have more than 2000 toughness without using foods or any sort of buffs and i dont feel any tougher than the ele in my group that has less than 1000. I dont really notice that i have increased my healingpower in any way so that stat is most likely useless in any given form it comes. What i wanted to do with my guardian was to actually be a guardian but the direction this game is taking i highly doubt that is ever going to happen.
I love to play tanky/healing classes in game because it allows me to help others instead of being the attention kitten with the massive crits flying around the place, but when it comes to GW2 i feel that as a guardian wanting to guardian anything is like a very bad and embaresing 60’s english failed comedy.
I have had a few chats with the people in my guild and we all agree it would be very awesome if one could have spears as normal weapons and not just underwater weapons. In a sense there could be three different types of spears; one handed, two handed and throwing. For the two handed axe, well that is sort of selfexplanatory. Personally i would love to be able to wield a onehanded spear on my guardian along with a towering shield and i an sure that alot of other people would as well. As for the skills and traits and everything that follows a weapon i cant say as i do not know what goes into creating a weapon But what i can see is that spears as more than just a underwater weapon could open up some nice diverse gameplay styles! (spartans anyone
)
Im clearing out phase 1 everytime i do it, except those few times where i run out of endurance and everything else is on CD. What i am struggeling with is killing her in phase2 as a full zerker mesmer. I use a sword/pistol & sword/focus. what happens is that i start of nicely and actually do some damage to her, but then she jumps at me and then i am usually dead as i dodge roll away and find myself out of endurance when the aoe comes around again. I am at more than 200 tries now and this is starting to just become frustrating!
And for those who are coming here to use the arguement “but you dont have to do it” im not interested in that answer at all! as i want to do this, if i didnt want to do it i wouldnt have bothered asking for help or have tried on my own for 200 times.
So, i dont have anything against the difficulty with the gauntlet and such. But what i have a problem with is; it seems this entire zone is primarily targeted at people with super gaming rigs! Sure i am not using the best. A 4 year old laptop (because i am a student that has just finished a 3 year BA with a loan of $45.000 breathing down my neck) and just being in the Crown Pavillion i am lucky if i can get more than 13 FPS.
While fighting Liadri i consider myself lucky if i manage to have 7 FPS and if there is an event below the dome i am in i see myself lucky if i can actually see the boss before i die. I’ve managed to claw my way up the ladder to Liadri and have spent around 35g to get there. Now i find myself at the 97th attempt at Liadri and i feel that the more i try to beat this the less i actually want to play guild wars! I know i can kill her if the lagg was gone and i had a better computer! but sadly neither of those will happen anytime soon :/
So i find these event trials to be more annoying and actual fun. Why? Because it seems that only certain classes with a very specific build are able to complete them without having to spend several tries to complete them. I have tried countless times on my elementalist to complete them and in the end i keep getting swarmed by what i would simple call random aggro. The mobs that spawn near the gold piles suddenly find it in their good little hearts to run half way across the map for no reason other then running, which of course brings them on a collision course with me trying to kill a plunderer.
What kind of specific all hail the annoying meta approach does people to use because when people see me try it on either mersmer or elementalist they all go “No, you cant do it on mesmer or ele” which makes me wonder why the hell anet even made an event which if one is to assume the community knows best excludes certain proffesions from actually making it!
So i have gotten a taste for spvp and wvw but i feel i dont really know how to build ele at all In spvp now i use a build that i’ve been using in PvE, namely Dagger Dagger with a focus on lightning, water and arcane. However, i think this build is quite nice in PvE i am fairly sure this build dont do to well in spvp. I have played a few days in pvp now and i have matches where i rack up points like crazy and i have even carried a game or two with this build but then i sometimes get completely stomped and cant really do much at all for the entire round (mainly when i fight against necros and engis for some reason)
I want to become better but i dont know what goes and not goes these days and would greatly appreciate if there are any in this forum that knows how to handle a ele in pvp
So in every single match i’ve played since for the past 2 weeks have had at least 3 necros in them and all of them seem to just burn through everyone like butter! With a ton of fear and a ton of torment dmg there is seemingly nothing you can do against them. How are you supposed to take down a class that has fear upon fear upon fear ready to be spammer at you and ontop of that has torment dmg just as another thorn in the side and if you do happen to get them low they pop deathshroud and whoopdi kittening doo! they are back at almost full health again!
So over the past 2 days i’ve tried to get myself the staff precursor out of the allmighty mystic toilet and after having spent close to 50 gold (should rather have spent it on dyes or some other stuff when looking at the outcome) i dont really want to try and get the precursor. For the most part i get weapons that are FAR worse than what i actually put in it… which is odd dont you think? but then again, it is a toilet so what would you expect…
Anyway, i was wondering if there is any system to this wonderful toilet of uselessness? I have seen people put in 4 rares and poof gotten a precursor on their first attempt and i have seen people put 1000’s of gold into it and never get anything better than toiletpaper back. Does or just randomly throw a dice or is there a sort of a system to it?
So over the past 9 months of playing Guild Wars 2 i have now come to a point where i barely bother doing PvE content. This escalated dramatically over the Dragon Bash event as 5000 coffers did not drop a single ticket for me while a friend who only bought 250 got 9 tickets. I have complete stopped doing dungeon runs as i feel the amount of time that is put into one isnt worth the crap of a reward you get at the end, this goes especially for Fractals!
If i run a dungeon 30 times over the span of two days i’d like to see some kind of reward that isnt just put into the mystic toilet, which surprisingly gives me more crap which i have no use for or want. Alot of people say that i should go magic find and to be honest, if i have to begin to sacrifice survivability and stats to have a extremely smaller chance at receiving a drop, then the game has failed at some point.
I am in a guild which has 500 active members and out of those 500 a rough number of about 7 get good drops on a daily basis. We have one person that over the course of a week received 6 pre cursors from Claw and another 2 from the mystic toilet. He doesnt use MF gear. Another person did three runs in a row in CoF with us and received lodestones on every single run as well as exotics while the rest of the group (4 people) combined received 2 rares. This keep on happening over and over and over again. The same 5-10 people are the only ones that receive any kind of ‘acceptable’ loot while the rest gets the white-greens and an occasional yellow. I am curious as to why this is happening?! In the past 5 months i have gotten a single exotic weapon from dungeons, chests and fractals and i have about nearly done them everday since March!
I am used to, from real life and in other games that if you do something enough times you will eventually get what you are working for. Well in GW2 it seems that the drop chances for some people are high in the skies while the rest can keep on doing the same events and dungeons for a few more months without receiving anything of noteworthy value!
Is there a seceret trick to getting those yummy drops or do i have to spend a certain amount of money on the game in order to get some sort of invisible buff as a sort of thank you for spending money on it? Because as far as i see this entire ordeal with RNG and a system that seem to favor a very small percentage of the community is becoming old and is indeed pushing not only myself but others within my guild away from GW2.
