I was doing my daily t4 fractals and lost my infinite offensive potion while the party was teleporting. I had my inventory open and clicked my potion while teleporting, then once in the instanced the potion buff was not added and the potion was gone. I replicated this event a few times and it would happen every three out of ten teleports. once in the instance you loss a item but no buff. This is a issue that should be address as the infinite potions are not cheap. Any help would be greatly appreciated. This seems to affect consumables. I cant replicate it with items like weapons or Armour.
FYI I screen shotted for support and contacted them directly.
Honestly, the only thing that annoys me about the HoM achievements is the fact that 500 AP is gated behind them. You can keep your skins and titles, I want a way to get that AP.
And for the record, this is coming from someone who bought and played GW1 and the first 2 expansions, but I got nothing because apparently I didn’t support the game for the very specific window of time required for these rewards.
Slash, I was in the same spot as you 3 years ago but steam had eotn on sale for like $15 so I got it and was able to link my accounts and got my hom points easy. I think steam has eotn for that price still. you can get easy 300 ap this way if i remember as long as you got the gw1 titles and stuff.
Now for the OP if you ever need some platinum or minis you can ask nicely in Spammadan/ kamadon lols. This trading hub city has so many people there traiding. I remember someone literally, was giving away 60 minis to people.
Lets be honest guys its not a few hours. LoLs its close to 140 hours not counting the learning curve and gearing and elite hunt process and getting good heroes with gear. Tons of guides, but time investment is huge. It looks simple in youtube and guides but when you actually do them you’ll be lost.
I actually go back to gw1 with guild mates to help with story mission both normal and hardcore since they hate hunting for elite skills and learning how to kill shiro XD.
I think after 3 years of helping many npcs, I can safely say I dont feel guilt. At some point you gotta help your self bro. Also I have nodes to farm for all them golds. I dont even want a legendary I just want to max all the gem upgrades for all my toons.
The back piece should of been out on the 23rd. It is just a joke that the PvP players (who don’t need legendary for stat swapping) gets it before PvE players. The biggest joke will be if I can get my PvP back piece made before the fractal one is released.
This has got to be the cruelest joke anet has ever pulled. I am happy for pvpers, they got the legendary backpiece but what about us pvers? This fractal backpiece better be a work of art! For HOT meta events its best to still run full zerkers/sinister/assassins with maybe your rings or accessories having some survivable stats. But just a little bit. Its the same for fractals once your comfy at the encounters in fractals then you can go full damage. Honestly I completed my 1 to 100 fractal achievements before the toughness de scale this was with pugs and guildmates. No one got kicked because of zerkers/damage stats. What mattered the most is skill past the 50s. But the adds/boss dont hit as hard as they used to so it was more of a test of patience (long boring fight). The scale I hated the most was afflicted because its not random condis its just immobilize and fear!!!! But we powered through that scale then boon thieves I had to retire my Guardian and switch to my ele or engi for those last scales because retal would cause so much wipes.
But you can run what ever build/stat combo you like in fractals the only difference is time. But this is only advice from a salty GW2 veteran player, youlls have all the ascended gear youll want and spares to from fractals the only question is how much dedication are you ready to learn a class to do raids.
Raids is something I suggest you try after you are comfy with your class. Also unless your the healer or tank you have to be in damage gear. Its a very unforgiving encounter to new players and require hours of constant wipes to beat. But the feeling of finally completing a wing is satisfying. My guilds current goal now is to get every member the eternal title from raids.

I was so happy thinking it would drop better at fractals 100. After 3 weeks doing high level fractal sets I think it does not exist anymore in the game. Unless the fix it in the upcoming December fractal fix. I don’t even know why I want it anymore after years of trying daily I have given up and enjoy my mystery tonic more.
For what type of guild op? If its pve stuff and being friendly group then just run around low level areas party up with newbies and help with events. teaching them stuff then after a while mention to them to join your guild. It creates a pleasant taught to the person that your not gonna treat them later like cattle unlike the mega guilds who dont even know your name.
Well not only is condi great now it’s heavily needed in raids. Pve open world anything works. Also dungeons are a ghost town now. Good news is Mesmer condi is very good in raids. It’s even more a plus if ur raceis sylvari or human. Welcome back to new tyria op
Please don’t nerf raids and make them raiser, my team found the VG and 3rd boss to be easy enough to complete with only exotics and NO Runes (we were simulating that of the poorest players out there).
The reason why people are finding it difficult is due to laziness and lack of awareness and poor skill rotations. The raid itself and mechanics are already easy enough and the timer could be further reduced by 15 seconds.
(Our 3 revs just auto attacked with sword and it was apparently enough dps with just exotics)
hmmm what is with all these trolls in the forums. No video proof only tall tales. I bet your also in agreement with the other trolls to reduce the timer on all the raid bosses because you guys are so elite. Either provide proof to your claims or go back to hello kitty adventure island.

I hate to burst your bubble but it has actually gotten worst with the dungeon nerf. Considering that sword needs 250 charged lodestones and 100 mystic coins which are time gated now btw. Farming maps for lodestones with the new system is actually not worth it. Your best bet is the Silver waste chest train. Or just running all COE dungeon paths.

Why does xp matter when there are only 3 mastery lines am I missing something, I haven’t even bothered levelling up pact commander because it’s useless, but xp seems useless as well once you have levelled up your masteries.
The pact mastery is complete garbage. The only ones you should focus on is obviously fractals and legendary one.
Back to topic I am getting annoyed at how fractals has become I was happy to seem new scales but was immediately kittened to see the mobs hit like cotton candy. WTH?! why are the boss in a fractal 80s hp sponges that tickle you?! I seem to be getting ok loot usual rings but haven’t gotten a box yet. I already invested a lot of gold re gearing my three alts for raids and 100 fractals but it seems just doing the lower tiers are better time investments.

As someone with Mad Memoires, I’d be perfectly fine with it being made obtainable again. Enjoying the game is enough of a reward for being around since the beginning, I don’t need content to removed from the game and made unavailable to newer players for my time ingame to be validated. I view the birthday gifts as plenty of a reward for being an early adopter.
This right here is how we should all be. Make the content available to the new guys like to us vets many years ago so they can EARN it like we did. I had many stuff from old events that I don’t even use because they are hard to theme on a character. Such as Mad Mermoires You would almost have to use a fiery theme example COF armour.

what is wrong with the event beyond that then? you play how you want, and have fun in a group taking out the enemy. I can’t say i see a real down side to the event, besides people wishing for easier rewards.
Its not the easier rewards buddy. Its the fact that the event is only 4 days long! Barely enough to get the required blossoms to buy the top items. That’s if you do 15 hours days this remaining 3 days. Sure have the events locked at there current time but extend the whole event to at least a few more days.
I am literally waiting on the forums for the event to start. because we have a 1 hour break…… I had many new players on my map confused as hell what was going on. They cant waypoint like the vets so they don’t even reach the 10 stack to get blossoms.

Yeah, when they announce those rewards we’ll each individually decide whether or not those rewards are worth the additional time investment. Honestly, I’m betting they won’t be worth it. I think it’ll be the difference between COF P1 and ARAH P4… Which ain’t much considering the time investment requirement difference.
Agreed the way anet rewards their hard core contents is laughable. I wont hold my breath for these changes due to their track record in the past. Honestly it seems your looking for a warrior or guardian. All the classes you listed have there strong points. Dont listen to the wannabe try hards about the meta. They have no idea how to think on there own. Damage wise youll probably be better with warrior or ranger for solo play. Also mesmers have it rough early on while leveling due to your traits being locked till 80. Necros do decent damage for dungeons reaching 100% crit chance in deathshroud if traited which you should.
Thiefs in pvp are still powerful the only reason your having a hard time is because the new condi meta is a hard counter to us. We dont have much condi cleanse as a class besides stealth. Plus players now a days are well aware of many of the different class weaknesses. It will take time but one thing is for sure the most over powered and easy class will always be warrior. PS warrior is always wanted in dungeons/fractals.
Look I am all for hard encounters but when I beat these hard TRASH MOBS and they respawn so fast or the mob density is to many then it is not a challenge but an error. I enjoyed each fight but after 20 minutes and constantly fighting these things with each encounter being in a 30 second gap it has become apparent that this new trash mobs needs some spacing or longer respawn timer.
Maybe more spacing because I swear this new combat feels like underwater combat. The mobs are too close to each other. I found it difficult to not accidentally pull two more mobs. With no rewards from beating the hard mobs whats the point?
We all love the challenge but i’m a realist and I want my effort to mean I get rewarded.
100 or more prestine fractal relics is my vote. I worked hard playing this stupid rng game for 2 years and still have two skins left. The SWORD and spear gun. I have over 500 prestine fractal relics so I’m sure enough to be able to buy the last two I need.
I always get comments from people asking were I got my daggers or long bow ect. And when they hear fractals they know that the length of time and rng makes it as rare as legendary skins.
Nearly 3 years and I still haven’t gotten the Harpoon Gun. That’s all I’ve got left. I just want it to be over.

Wow were all like Fractal spear gun brothers. I cant believe I now have a problem of to many ascended boxes but cant get the last fractal skin….. Once I get the tonic and spear gun i’m never entering a 50 fractal again.
Everyone realizes this, right? With the high demand for golems and their now incredibly high prices… The golem stocks are going to deplete, the prices will either rise or stay the same and golems will very likely become much less common when the event finishes because people won’t want to spend that kind of money.
Since so many people hate golems and want them nerfed, etc… This event will do almost exactly that by nerfing their usage post-event.

Congrats on name calling very constructive OP. But to actually be constructive here the Golems are not the issue right now its the buff exploit thats really breaking wvw right now. Even without being in a golem you can have the damge buff. Thats a 100% damage to players. Ill let that sink in, 100% damage buff!
Ran into a guild in Ehmry Bay where every player was exploiting this bug. It was quite obvious that they knew what they were doing .They were trampling everyone in their path and couldn’t be defeated . Now according to the rules this sort of behavior (" intentional exploitation of a bug for personal gain") is unacceptable .What is Anet planning on doing about this.
yup my gulid ran into the same problem. We were wondering why are these Ehmry bay players practically one shotting us. My guild only found out about the bug an hour ago. We all gave up an hour after reset. The bug is down right disgusting. I demand the event be either stopped or fixed. Sure have the event but fix this broken bug please. its gross also to players defending the bug don’t think your pro. Your a griefer who can only win by exploit.
Also getting the bug is not hard. Its not easy to get by accident so I demand banning of players using it. What happened to fair play?
I’m having a blast during this event, the amount of golems is awesome and hilarious. I think you guys just need to remember this is a game and try to have some goofy fun every once in awhile.
You wouldnt say that when players are cheating with the golem bug right now. you gain the damage buff to players without being in a golem. I ran into a guardian with the buff who one shotted me with his auto attack. But your right a game is supposed to be fun but getting owned repeatedly by this cheat is not fun. Its down right griefing new players like me. Im sad I even taught wvw could be fun. Yup I am a noob only rank 50 but even with my guild mates the rewards and the current event makes me meh about wvw.
Ill go back to PVE and make a lot more gold with better rewards. With some fun events and such.
We’ve known this was coming for a while, and although Alpha blueprints spiked a bit they came back down. You can buy them with badges anyway. Our BL has just been pretty trashed by one of our opponents – they realised it was golem week before us (nice spot guys!).
BUT!
You CAN kill golems with canons and arrow carts. Yes it’s a bit harder. Yes the golems move faster and do more damage, but it IS possible to stop them.
Sure we’ll see a different play style for a week – and that’s a long time – but I’ve stayed with my server on a drop from T3 to T8 and I’m not going to stop playing WvW just because ANET tried something different for a week out of the years I’ve played (from original beta).
I don’t want this to be the new WvW, but I’m willing to adapt for a short time because next week is a new day (as it were).
If you REALLY don’t like it, take a 1 week holiday (I know you don’t want to but at least you won’t be taking part in something you don’t like). If you’re feeling adventurous, hop in a golem and try it…. you might even enjoy yourself! I was also sceptical at first, but it can be fun and golem duels are something new to learn!

Anet dev must have fought a Necro in PvP and saw the chill was messing with his elite warrior. So he decided to nerf the most OP class in the game the necro with a second life bar.
First of all we didn’t get stronger for 2 weeks we got nerf for 2 weeks and then boom more nerf. Is really a pain to play the necromancer we are the worst class in the game but we have to deal with it.
Maybe they are trying to bring our mental state down, so we can truly be a master of sorrow.

Fractals require more coordination and experience than many dungeons. I have seen many times pugs would join my level 50 fractal and die almost instantly from agony. trying to blend in thinking we wont notice that they only had 60 agony in a 50 fractal.
I rather keep the casuals and new players away from the higher levels. Believe me when I say lower level fractals are actually harder then higher ones. anything below 30s you start to see the uncoordinated and lack of experience. I love the pug killing fractals such as Shaman, cliffside and snowblind, Dredge. Its shows who are the vets in the group because they can adapt and salvage it if things go wrong.
So complain all you want about not being able to reach higher levels, because of the joke agony check. While I enjoy my hoards of ascended boxes/fractal skins
IDK took me a year to make mine. I only play about two hours a day so I guess thats why. But I understand you can buy them with real money. But let me ask you this, are you guys willing to shell out $300 to $400 on a pixel….

If you are into pvp you can unlock glorious armor chest skin. I had the same issue with my thief having a coat jumping around. So I did that reward track and was happy with the look.

I also hope for smaller guilds have a chance here. lets be honest there are hundreds of small guilds. less then five people how will they capture their guild halls? The answer if anet was fair would be a story instance for them. Like the living story.
Anet has a lot riding on this and with this lack of public relations! has been reaching a breaking point. But its there fault Anet has promised its player base and new players that HOT will be a grand experience. But if it becomes another South sun map god help there souls. hell hath no fury as a scoured group of nerds XD
No one likes doing events to open dungeons, you just want to do your dungeon. In the same way, people aren’t going to want to do events to reopen their guild hall.
It’s better to reward your players for doing guild missions rather than punish them if you they don’t do them. I forsee frustration over this.
Frustration, sure, but I really don’t see a problem as far as design if they had a “reopen” event once a month to gain access to your full guild hall.
That said, I’m part of the crowd that feels games are too easy on people now. That repercussions are too low, that your decisions don’t mean enough. If you can’t defend your hall once a month how can you call yourself a guild?
Actually I have seen this in my guild, people dont want to do missions anymore because why should they? They do the mission for commandations to buy ascended gear and thats it. Its actually insulting. But if we have to do pre events Like Coe, Cof, and Arah dungeons to access guild halls this might become a bit of annoyance but a much needed thing for a guild. But yes were is the guild pride!? It should be tough it should require heavy coordination, TEAM WORK! to capture your guild hall.
Only a few people are proud of being in a guild. Guilds have become a mere tool to players in this game. Because we are not locked to one guild which I find weird. You need to feel invested in a guild, you need a sort of wanting to be part of it as a family. But this game has trivialized it.
I know that was my assumption for a none release expansion but I see it as a guild mission 99% sure. If I am wrong then mock me but we need this type of event or something that makes a guild unite.
I hope there are guild leaders and officers that feel what I feel because you can complain about the lack of challenging content is this game but if you want a true challenge become a guild leader or officer and manage people. Nothing is harder then organizing and maintaining a guild of happy people.
lets hope this expansion becomes something great if not I sure will be enjoying Fallout 4 with my Pip boy XD

I get beta acces… no value for beta. The fact I want to see it mean I’ll provide some time for them to see their work perform, gfood or bad, which will be a help to the community later on.

So in effect I bought gems , a char slot and a finisher and a mini, I am no hardcore mini buyer but I do own quite a lot of finishers… I payed the equivalent of 5600 gems IMHO which is about 70 euro, and I needed gems and a char slot anyways. so those 60 euro’s would have been payed anyhow. Leaving me the expansion which is not worth anything at the momenty as it’s just a code. Like the wings. but In my personal perspetive I bought it for less then 30 euro’s (still have the glider skin, the guild hall stuff (and the beta’s))
I own the vanilla, and I could have bought a second somewhere in time. but I didn’t. I cannot buy a new vanilla anymore. So be it. I do not want to give up my 18,5k AP account for a supposedly better deal and I played 3 years already, also participated in the vanilla beta, stress test and so on.
Value is what you see in it, as you just bough a lot of 1’s and 0’s actually.

long run you might want to get HoT since a lot of your guild mates will be on it. Dungeons meh, they will see a sharp decrease in population for a while as veteran players are hungry to do something NEW! But it is your money so dont have regrets in your purchases enjoy them and haters gonna hate.
Sadly I am also done with the hype. The hype train can fall of a ditch. Hard facts will not come from a dev because they are forced to shut up. hmm everyone is so angry about this expansion. I personally see no problem with pricing. You do have a point Op if you don’t want to get burned dont pre purchase. I use MY money the way I want to. I bought the ultimate edition. Why? Because its the best deal and its my money. A day of work spent on something I will guaranteed spend over a thousand hours is fine by my standards. lol Also people need to quite complaining about the base game inclusion. The base game is now only worth $10 due to depreciation. Veterans have enjoyed the game for YEARS!
As some have stated rare quality gear will help your group. Its honestly gonna be rough as the skelks stack bleed so much. Dont run full zerkers thats only for advance speed run groups. Your party are I assume new don’t have the experience to dodge and use skills/utilities at the right time.
Do story first get a feel for your team comp and also remember its not like old MMOs there is really no trinity, Dodge is very important no matter the class.
Welcome to the thief profession. Sadly our class is very unforgiving and having a set of stuff is more on preference. For PvP some people like d/d others like s/d while I personally like D/P. The blinds are so good to combo with.
My advice, practice on the training npcs in the pvp lobby. To learn a few opening combos. Because this is what breaks a lot of new thieves. You will want to face tank many other professions but that is wrong. Hit and run is our specialty.
To answer your question about the guard and ele all three classes play differently. Guards are more traditional setup while ele is using an attunement system while thieves use initiative. Thieves have no cool down in a sense to use thier skill which makes us a supreme predator in PvP.
For dungeons I usually use Sword and pistol for the 3 skill spam to blind enemies, and smoke screen. Thieves are a very hard class to master but once you become efficient everyone will be happy to see you in their party. especially in CM dungeon. Good luck.
I am missing just the Fractal speargun, been trying to get the last one for a couple of week. Hopefully, it will eventually drop.
Either way, its the only fun pve content I currently enjoy, so don’t mind running it.
I had all the fractal skins except for the mace. It took 14 months for me to finally get it, and I do 50/40 pretty much daily. I wish you luck.
lol thank you, I had a friend who was missing the mace as well. It took him nearly 6 months. I hope I get my speargun in much shorter time.
I also do hope they fix the fractal collection and put a nice “fat” reward at the end.
Also while I am dreaming, might as well give us “The Fall of Abbadon” along with progress to lvl 60 =P
ya…. I remember completing the fractal achievements only to realize you dont even get a title. Completing the skin collection should definitely have a title or ascended box.
I already stopped using Ice Bow because of this info. Eles get no love from the Devs. If ANET had their way, they would totally REMOVE Eles as a class.
