Well they have two choices..nerf the speed of all these skills being able to be used OR nerf their effectiveness.. both accomplish the same goal but I think worse if they nerf effectiveness. but they wont..that means lots of skill adjustments =) attunement speed? easyyy

I and most others care about WvW =) because guess what 200 whole ppl play sPvP and its stupid the devs balance crap around that pitifully balanced and designed game feature that someone upstairs is clinging to with a hope and a prayer that it will ever be an E sport. Got it ?

and I saw that video and the only thing I’ll disagree with Teamkiller is that that is an exhibition of skill ove rbeing OP.. look my warr? hes not to bad and he simply doesn thave 1/3 of the OPTIONS to move and survive and still kill like that..nor does any other class except maybe thief spamming CnD ( that does no damage )

How can any of you argue that THAT spec allowing those capabilties exhibited in that video isn’t OP? No burst? Theres hella lot more than my bunker warr has or guard.. like 3 times. It doesn’t really matter becuase the devs had said the nerf is coming.

Sigh and I was here looking to see if I could find another bunker/healing/cleanser type of class and was drawn to ele due to having all melee/hybrid 80’s so far =( big gamble now because we dont know what apsect of this their going to nerf..if I had to guesss knowing ANET like I do…Im going to take a stab and say something with the fast attunement switching. Yep nerf that trait or however they want to nerf the attunement switching and D/D’s cant have all them nifty buttons to push

It actually was created so poorly for us.. my bottom hand is holding..AIR… I kept it in my storage for months but finally just skinned over it to use the stats. Even witht ha tone the lack of size made it look just silly

I primarily WvW actually its all I do and I have had the most positive impact I think by running my shout heal/defensive spec.. 0/0/25/30/15.

I use sword and warhorn ( warhorn is a must, main hand could be mace but I like the sword for the leap and fast cripple ) with my healing build with food and the sigil I have over 1600+ heal… so I’m healing ppl ever 25-30 secs for 2200-2500+ AE… the war horn is traited so speed which is a must is up 100% and those same shouts that are healing, that warhorn does amazing things.. its removes conditions if traited.. it cures cripple and skll use debuff with a 1200 range! It also debuffs with fumble too and both ar eon short cooldowns relatively.

The elite skill banner is awesome for putting on your slots when u know your Keep lord could fall and my other utility is juggernaut as im Asurian and thats full of trolling fun

That is alot of team orientated stuff right there..alot then my main hand is Greathammer simply to have more CC the elite is fun and a stun and then theres the regualar 5 knockdown and the other cripple that it gives.. all this means not alot if your dead tho right?

Man you just cant kill this guy..the warhorn gives you 100% regen so you can dodge more the 15 pts def trait for regen combined with the signet regen and if want to lose a little plus heal add on a mango pie… thats THREE things ticking on you constantly for 4-500+ a tick..combine that with 3k armor rating? This makes us VERY good at manning rams and applying pressure through all the marks and enemy AE

Downside? you cant kill a gnat and you wont get bags or very many, but thats why theirs a whole team of DPS’ers behind you =) I’m the first to charge into an enemy zerg and the last to fall

Now that I’ve learned this much about this style I’m going to try some differant things to see if I can up my crit rate ( all you really need ) while not losing too much armor and or shout heal.. not sure if possible but I wont sacrifice ALL that support for a few kills if it comes down to it.

edit, and its a cheap build to set up using the temple gear and 6 soldier runes ( MORE condition removal ) cleric jewels are the only thing that cost at all.

Are you complaining about being double teamed? We get double teamed too. All night, every night, JQ and BG attacking us at the same time from opposite sides of the map. Imagine that…..

Also, you confuse points with ability like many people. The score doesn’t mean jack when it comes to your ability to fight. You don’t get points for killing people.

IF I had a wish that could come true it would be for the leaders of all 3 realms to agree to an EB 3 way TOURNEY with rules mind you.

Each server puts up 1000 gold.
3 teams 50+ each led by each realms chosen commander
All 3 running the map for position until one engages the other
No interference. Once two teams have engaged the other must pull off and reset at WP
First team to lose to both servers or twice to same realm is out.
After that its best 2 out of 3 engagements for the remaining two realms

Winner takes all! Losing realms commanders must send alts to the victors LA named after their char and server and announce they are there to pay the debt of 1000 g.

just a rough idea but imagine the FUN! no PPT.. no pop BS no alliances.. just hard hitting fun

The only way for SoR or BG to beat JQ is to quit the bickering and constantly push JQ week after week. It wont matter who comes up to T1, JQ has superior numbers to put on 2 fronts, have people watching towers/camps and scout the enemy. JQ will gladly sit back and let the bickering continue knowing that at the weeks end they will win by 40k+

TBH This is not a easy since both BG and SoR consider the other as a weaker enemy.(comparing with JQ)
I do enjoy fighting with JQ. But when you lead 1/3 manpower of the server, you have to think abt ppt instead of looking for pure fun. Its not rational to hit the tough rock when you dont have too many chips on hand.

For the last three hours I mainly attacked BG at EBG. Not because I hate BG or afraid JQ. Just because it makes sense.

I was there in EB. I know its not easy, but if your allowing JQ to have half the map while the other 2 forces fight for 1/4 of the map it only extends JQs lead. The only way to take the lead is to constantly attack the lead, otherwise SoR/BG is playing for 2nd

This in a nutshell . It would take an actual alliance to beat JQ at this point. Problem is 3rd place would really get the shaft

This above is wvw 101… and SoR tried to push on JQ a lil the first day this week and were several thousand pts behind blackgate remember? They had to focus entirely on Blackgate. Left to their own designs with a 3 way game BG’s superior commanders and tactics wins the PPT. JQ punishes SoR severely for misbehaving. SoR plays JQ game and JQ allows them to be in 2nd place by focusing us and relatively leaving SoR alone. This meta actually is applied across all BL’s… I dont blame SoR its the smart play..( silver medal better than bronze ) JQ is fine with that because it ensures they’ll always be in first and getting the gold.

I will say this though and I will floored to hear otherwise but BG has the best commanders, If i had a nickel for every time we would be in BG BL and 30 of us wipe 40 SoR then waypoint run to JQ and then wipe them? over and over..EB is even worse, BG constantly is baiting and luring and ambushing and or flat out just running over both of these servers.

Its gotten so bad SoR wont even fight us and just runs away unless they have twice the numbers. Call me out and I swear I’ll fraps it with a clock to show you just how often it does happen.

As far as Dble teaming well doh yeah they are.. why shouldnt SoR play passive towards JQ enabling BG to get pinched? I would too.. they’re teams/Comms talent just are not as good AND they are in 2nd place so points do the talkin.

Well the first thing they need to do is FIX the stupid ability to dark field and life tap the camp commanders.. we are all killing these " unkillable NPC’s in about 30 seconds maybe a minute of your zerg is small. It really allows a zerg to move very fast stay supplied and just take take take.

That will force some defense/slow down right there or you’ll get supply locked alot.

Why do I think that? Well, no one runs burning builds. There isnt really a demand, besides yourself, as you see from the replies. Especially on warrior.

Some issues I have with it
- the “new” wvw armor/weapons are pretty disappointing, they’re actually old skins you could get from pve and they’re ugly. You can get these skins at karma vendors or trading post very cheaply, 1k karma or a few coppers. No point wasting badges on these
- what happened to map queuing system? Did they remove it?
- You now have to click three times to enter WvW instead of 2? Reminds me of Windows 8, forcing you to click more to get anywhere
- beside the rabid/invader thats, no point in wasting badges on the other sets as you could buy them in trading post for a few gold more

Are you serious about the new gear? That is.. I dont even know.. how LAZY can they be? Same skins?..

I stopped reading this guy at his claim at FPS increase and then continuing on to babble as if the game is playable. All setting theyve given I and everyone else I know have set to lowest and the SERVER side lag they are aware of..

that a Dev has come here and said to bad to sad we can’t fix that lag even tho it makes makes the game unplayable. but HEY lets remove culling but add EVERYones title that you cant turn off.

SKill adjustments come and go who cares but this skill lag will kill WvW once the phenom of the kitten skills we can buy wear off.

The warrior class isn’t weak. The GS spec is weak for wvw. You should try to run with hammer and perhaps axe offhand as second weapon.

I don’t see why people say rangers are so weak in wvw. Sure, it isn’t the strongest class but it is still very useful. A few good rangers in your zerg and it’ll be deadly as never before.
The root ultimate is the most annoying thing ever for example. Muddy terrain is also awesome. Quickness stomp. etc.

Oh I dont have a problem w my warr..but theres on so many classes and all cant be uber some are broken and some arent working as intended you know? I love love my GS and rifle/LB spec. I do great but its just from alot alot of practice and finding what works for me. I was mainly quoting some other guy talking about 100blades.. its a silly skill.

Rangers main problem is they don’t hit hard enough for me to have to factor them in most situations wvw wise…I’ll just pull my rifle out and they’ll die or i’ll WW them and they’ll die….but oh yes that root utlimate is by far their best skill and is crazy annoying. The problem is balancing their damge with the pet. Must be hard for the devs to make them viable while not breaking them and making them gods.

Thieves, those guys keep catching nerfs but its really broken stuff that enables them to seem tough, once their stealth bug is " fixed " then we’ll see how the P/D builds do. prob quite well but wont be unkillable. Their burst builds already are controllable.

I hate nerfing though I just wish theyd make other classes stronger, another 6 months and we’ll all be out here swinging nerf bats at each other

My only beefs w warrs atm are banners.. kitten useless really of a slot and eviscerate.. I mean it absolutely will not land on a moving target. So I dont use it but

control? mm not a problem for me.. every weapon outisde of axe the snare works great. Again hehe they nerfed axe so bad I just dont use it. thankfully I have lots of other options.

The fact you mage to solo anyone in WvW pre 80 is a good sign.. I’ve tried alot of things but to be honest it gets complicated once you start talking diff 1 handed weapon sets and sigils. ALOT of these guys in this thread are really good so kinda hard to do what they do from the get go. I still can’t =)

An easy way to start and its a guaranteed kitten kicker is… GS main and swap between rifle for open field and longbow. Heres why :

I trait kinda glass cannon but its not as I have 21k HP so kinda 25/25/0/10/10, whats that give you? best GS traits, great precision , rifle traits AND for free some HP and 1200 range on that Longbow which is really needed becaise targeting anything or anybody with 900 kinda hard in current wvw meta zerg.. also this give you tons of base power and crit %, dont worry about +crit dmge in traits.

GS – Best skills. Whirling Blade crits for 7-10k disorients your opponents and can hit behind you, hundred blades takes to much set up and sure I use it but only if I get in the middle of a bunch of ppl distracted.. Asura It is the movement weapon. Auto attacks for 1.5 to as high as 3k on squishies..5 key ofc for moving around big field of wvw w whirling blade. The snare is awesome and it too can hit for 2-3k

Rifle : What do warriors have ALOT of ? adrenaline and we can trait for it or what I do becuase its easy..Is I keep precision signet on my hotbar..Its an instant full bar, so on small engagements I really like to run in from side ( 5-10 enemy ) pop that sucker and pop[ them for 12k w the burst skill..they already runnin unless a tank, then the snare… then the multishot..uh their dead. If its a tank same thing but switch to GS and yep.. whirl ftw. I open with rifle mainly and chase finish with the GS

Longbow – I got it traited too 1200 range sooo member that precision signet? All large engagements use the Longbow..pop the signet off goes a VERY large nasty burst AE that dots regularly crit for as high as 1k… 400ish reg but it ticks for a while. So rotation goes burst.. 3 key AE hits like a truck.. both have fast cooldowns so you can pretty much spam them. The 5 key snare on this weapon has a really long duration as well. IF more warrs mained Longbow in WvW I think ud see alot more of their zergs winning. Its that strong. if feel like need more adrenalaine just add the shout we have for more it takes like 3 secs to fill the bar again. Bags drop like a skittle commerical

My slots typically go Prec signet, Endure pain ( its just handy ) justice or adrenaline shout and ofc the last slot is signet ( unless asura and sometimes I slot juggy for fun to mess with zergs )

Its not elite but this will do what your ranger couldnt sorry..I.. ignore rangers pretty much..this build you ignore it for 2 seconds and your dead.

strongest WvW – eles ad mesmers. as if it needed to be asked.. thiefs? cmon no

I double tap np with all 3 of my 80’s..warr,thief, guard.. and for lvling the guard just keep green armor w/in 5-10 lvlsand a green GS 5 lvls or less to your lvl until 60+ then switch to yellow and beat the hell out of every normal mob and most vets…

and dont beleive the thief talk 90% of us just spammed shortbow 1 key at everything all the way to 80 and die like once. Yes its that easy and its a bag collector for wvw zerging too.

I would settle and be VERY happy with the already heard of increased passive buffs with mobility enabling us to use our weapons , ala samurai warriors of old carrying banners into battle.

who cares about supply, who cares about siege! I forgot when we attacked a keep they had no supplies to repair the door. No siege to defend! Oh wait they did, because that is a HUGE part of attacking and defending, supplies and siege. When bg’s superior forced hit the keep I assume they used no golems? no rams nothing, because hey as you said who cares about supplies and siege.

Thats right. I saw 3 trebuchets and a cata in JQ’s safezone ( exploit ) no denial protecting sunny from all attacks but since BG won no one on your side talks to that..so yes who cares about siege. BG adapted…supplies? go get some or stack ball buff and roll your atackers. So much fun.

I’m glad we could come to agreement that the best server won from dedication and stubborness this time. Maybe next time your server will support your main guilds better FOO and CHOO can’t do it alone and thats what they did.. how about THOSE amazing guilds? totally carrying their servers @ T1 virtually solo. If they werent on? their server was getting owned PPT wise. Thats why you lost, they got tired.

I am really surprised that such great guilds and commanders are here mud slinging. Having come back from a several month lay off I was very pleasantly surprised at what I have found in the Blackgate. A concerted effort by several dedicated guilds to get the PUG’s and smaller guilds in their TS. To coordinate. If that fails to just follow the blue dot on your screen while they coordinate amongst each other on each realm.. and they do a REALLY good job of it.

Blackgate at this time simply has more guilds that want it more and much more.. They are mobile and versatile. JQ has amazing guilds like FOO who can steam roll opponents in very short order if you dont counter their game. SOR same thing with CHOO.. very strong and inspiring… but the massive amount of power these guilds alone have couldnt counter the teamwork of Blackgate in the end 24/7…

The last push led by several strong guilds and a couple of crazy madmen like Magickarp who I was following.. he pulled a 18 hour shift and put nonstop pressure on the enemy.. other commanders were doing the same on other realms.. Isnt that why they won? Who cares about supply? who cares about JQ making sunny untakebale with massive amounts of siege panted in their safe zone?

In the last few hours outside of the JQ garrison BG led by Magic wiped JQ and FOO 15 times or made them run back to their garrison.. doesnt that summarize why BG won?

I was in your better halfs shoes 3 days ago along w many others that I see here.. all I can say is that after I submitted my ticket.. and this is important.. UPDATED that ticket by responding to their email with more info..( this is one way to get a response ) because when you do that the sytem creates a Support Account for that account. I was..admittadly as befuddled as you guys were as to why I could have been banned BUT I was back in game within 30 hours of my my ban. Create ticket, Update ticket.

Good to see Gaile back again – I understand that it’s hard to keep everyone updated and happy so I’m pleased to see her post.

Most of the good news posts have been from this fraud issue and I haven’t read a lot of success stories from these incorrectly banned accounts labeled as bots. I am going from optimism to pessimism and back again as I wait patiently for a response.

I still can’t work out why my account was labeled as this though so I’m very concerned that once I get my account back it will get flagged again unless I change … something?? It would be nice if someone from AN comes out and says it was a problem with their antibotting procedures and they have resolved it so accounts won’t get falsely flagged again, just so I don’t freak out every time something happens in game. I am one of the victims of the Bot banning scandal =) I have an update.. I didn’t get my account back yet but I did get a response from support asking to verify my account information. and it was approx 30 hours after my original submission. I’m sure theyre slammed because..I included all that info already in my ticket, but it IS progress.

Bott banned folks keep an eye on your email they seem to have some type of method in place. GL. I’ll let ya know when/if I get back in

A few hours ago, I got my account restored, but now I have a problem with not having authorization to play.

Ok that part was fast.. Ive been in game 15 mins or so account ban lifted and everything seems fine so far

Good to see Gaile back again – I understand that it’s hard to keep everyone updated and happy so I’m pleased to see her post.

Most of the good news posts have been from this fraud issue and I haven’t read a lot of success stories from these incorrectly banned accounts labeled as bots. I am going from optimism to pessimism and back again as I wait patiently for a response.

I bought the game about 1 week ago and started playing. My wife plays MMO’s too and was playing Rift. I convinced her that GW2 was a game she should try out after her watching me play for a few days. We purchased a copy for her and I got it installed on her computer from my office via remote desktop during the day so we could play that evening. She went through the character creation process and I ran my toon over to her starting area. We played for 10-15 minutes just long enough for her to do one event then her screen went black. At first I thought the game crashed so I exited the game and went to log back in. Thats when we saw that her account had been suspended. We were shocked. We have played lots of online games and never have been banned let alone suspended in 15 minutes!

That’s got to be some kind of record.

Arena Net please get this fixed. With the size of this thread I would seriously be thinking about a mass suspension lift.

I think this game is really cool and I really enjoy playing it but now I’m afraid to invest any time into it if there is a possibility I may get suspended/banned for NOTHING!

I’m really sorry Bley but as I have been here for the last day heres whats happened and going to happen in your case.. I have heard of none being unsuspended..they mass terminated thousands of accounts due to gold farmers finding a way to fraudulently obtaining them through that site. Good news is they will refund your CC.

Theres many ppl in your shoes.

OUR issue is that they banned nearly 2000 accounts for botting when many of us werent. kinda same thing but in a differant context.

So it is an automated bot banner. I certainly hope customer support understands that logs only tell half the story. If you push your playerbase around like this, it will hurt just as bad as not banning the bots. You think players want to live in fear of not knowing if their real game play is going to suddenly be determined as a bot, then have to jump up and down in customer support, hoping somebody doesn’t decide to finalize the ban? Remember that we are not criminals until proven guilty. Please!

Well I can’t say for sure it is since ANET hasnt stated so but.. lets be logical. Are you a bot? Am I? nope Are any of these DOZENS of other hard working gamers? Nope

So it falls to either ANET takes easy way and says hey our program was a little over zealous we are sorry..or they go the hard way and say yes we personally review every account and the people doing it just arent any good at their job =)

It simply HAS to be one of the two or a combination because.. I KNOW I dont cheat.

They tell youve obtained an infraction via PM here in the forum, you can appeal but who cares.

Welcome to the party! No ANET was not hacked, theyve initiated some new type of aggressive antibotting program and your account isnt reviewed by real people to se eif it makes sense they just ban your account.

Make sure to submit a ticket.

What “Elite Bot Banning Team”? It’s a broken algorythm that just autobans players that fit ArenaNet’s criteria of being a bot. Why? It’s cost efficient. No need to hire people to form these so-called teams that dedicate their time looking for bots.

ArenaNet hired some Data Analyst to detect botting behavior.

GO read this, that mad man and whatever " team " hes implementing is actually boasting about banning us based upon PLAYERS reporting us as bots and then they have some kind of who knows what to verify it supposedly.

We ARENT using bot programs we just play alot

ANET did all of this to all of us due to needing ( in their eyes ) to crack down on the gold farmers, whether it be them botting in game and or aquiring accounts fraudulently

Being in business myself I know why we are getting all of this automated stuff. Because automated responses have been approved by their legal team. They are lessening their liability. It’s not against the law to frustrate people =)

I just wish and I bet now they do too that they handled both the anitbotting program /autobans and the account banning differently.

I suspect they simply dont have the infrastructure or manpower to handle this ina true customer service fashion

Some things we do know…

Support is overwhelmed because theyre not dealing with just one crazy issue atm but two and thats on top of their normal work

1. Account purchasing issues resulting in termination

2. Terminating ppls accounts for botting who aren’t

Oh my goodness blue I’m sorry to hear that. Keep persisting please. Its just not logical and that is either an automated or automatic email response that that person sent you.

I also have a suggestion.. I know your upset at the loss of the character but it is a really new account and can get right back to where you were.. I have a suggestion for the $54… contact NCSoft billing directly and explain what happened, Maybe they’ll refund you, heres their number..It is a VM only but its something.

I am playing warrior just now and I must say I am so squishy .

One of my 80’s is a thief and I think you would like it… they do ALOT of damage with shortbow and you can change the " skin " to something you like later if thats an issue

I actually main weapon Shortbow in WvW.. It’s devastating, the first skill is a 3 way ricochet that hits for 1.5 to 2k+ ..on autoattack… THEN the real beauty of the Thiefs shortbow is the ClusterBomb. it can be spammed kitten near endlessly ( only costs 3 init ) and I regularly hit players for 5-7k crits and with a blast field over 10k.. ah its an AE? no cast time.. only drawback is its 900 range but I dont even stealth

I just target say a ranger…hit STEAL > teleports me to target.. then spam Clusterbomb at them… 90% ppl panic and dont stun and die in 3-4 secs.. the other 10% stun us and u gotta be ready for that. Stealth get distance andeither Cluster them more or kite and just hit the 1key.

Now thats all with full berserker gear so HP are only 12k.. but stealth is a huge help since you heal as you stealth.

I actually am playing a guardian atm and love it.. where did you get they are support only? What I love about the guardian is you get alot of passive regen and AEGIS..and more AEGIS with traits. Im using a GS with blood sigil and a staff with bloodlust sigil and all power/precision while leveling and destroying everything in my path
