What issue are you having with in Fractals at the moment?
When they first added in Chaos fractal and the new instabilities (flux bomb, poison trail, etc.), my group did have issues adapting to these mechanics but it’s been a while since that happened. Even with the Lich form nerf for Necros, my group is finding T4 dailies alright at the moment.
it’s like everything is hitting like a truck, dude. it’s like we have absolutely no survivabality now, whereas we did before the patch.
I don’t know what happening, if anything, but ever since that balance patch came out it has been nigh-impossible for me and my guild to complete our tier 4 dailies.
I mean, we’re experienced raiders and fractal folk. we know are classes, our builds, we know the mechanics and all that good jazz. but it has been a freakin’ chore if not a disgusting venture to try to complete our fractals.
did something happen, did that balance patch really screw things up that bad? what am I missing?
I started on my quest to make the Nevermore Legendary weapon and half way though the Ravenswood Staff I am reflecting on how much I have spent in saved materials and had to grind for supplies. By now I could almost have and a precursor for an other legendary.
Did Anet make this so expensive. I am torn now looking at how much I have lost in material and the major grind ahead.
What ever happened to the GW2 that I bought that promised no grind?

Are you trying to say the new precurser mastery’s will be botted?
If you can do it, a bot can do it.
Those precursers are account bond. The effort it would take to program a bot to do the activities required to complete the mastery would far exceed the effort to do it manually. This is literally a none issue.

You can’t buy the Ultimate in game, then you’d be buying gems with gems. That’s been there from the beginning, so it’s unrelated to the frauds.

So, about a week back I upgraded to Windows 10 and two-ish minutes afterwords, anything that had a text field began to space. forever. never stopped, couldn’t delete it because it was spacing so fast, etc. I use a USB keyboard and thought it was an issue with it, but it didn’t seem to be. took out the USB connector thing and nothing changed. then I thought it was a drivers issue, but it seems as though my drivers are up to date. so I reverted back to Windows 8.1 and the issue went away… until I tried playing GW2. it will come and go but when it comes, I can’t type anything because SPACES FOR DAYS. I asked a guildie about it and he said it was a weird keyboard shortcut but I haven’t found anything after a couple days, so I was hoping some tech-savvy someone on this forum would know of what I’m talking about and any ways to fix it.

I was hoping this would be a post about the gold-to-gem/gem-to-gold differences. not that I’m mad, I kinda understand the idea behind it, but buying one hundred gems for an average of 13g and then selling your gems for an average of 9g seems a tad lame to me.
am I missing something? can someone please explain how gems work again so I can understand this better?

Sometimes I don’t understand people. Many of them just rushed through whole story, did everything else following guides, farmed a little bit of materials and say they’re done.
I mean, why not ignore all guides and figure out things by yourselves? Why not talk to NPCs, enjoy the view?

I would say something witty, but I decided against it.
Look, the update is better. I agree that the amount of content was less than I expected, but the content that was released is interesting and new: the bosses actually require you to move around. The crystal event is a race against time – you move. And then the sandstorm. Only certain events pop up when the sandstorm isn’t active, and visa-versa.
I honestly think ArenaNet is actively attempting to ween the gamers off of zergs and stacking, which is great. The map is difficult to memorize, it has multiple paths to different areas.
The fact that your completing it fast isn’t a problem for anyone else, it’s a problem for you. Hell, I did the story by myself in 2-3 hours (while going afk multiple times) and got the Adventurer’s Mantle by 5AM. But I still legitimately enjoy the bosses – Moa, Devourer Queen, that half-Chimera thing. The jumping puzzle is challenging – I have never gotten so mad at this game, and then Nochtli. I have never seen a group beat it, much less attempt it.
I commend ArenaNet for releasing this – it’s a multi-level map, with stuff to find and interesting boss fights. Loot to find, places to discover. And this is only one little part in this season. By the time Season 2 is half-way done, we’ll still be running these bosses because they’re fun.
No dungeon is fun anymore. Three-Toed Tootsie? Fun. Engaging. A moa boss. Are you kidding me?
A sure bet is the crystal event, the chimera boss event, and the devourer boss event. The first is right by the WP, the chimera boss is at the Lair of the Beast and both are during clear skies.
The devourer boss spawns around the Sparring Rock during a sandstorm.
But yes. I admit that the events don’t exactly give us a decent number of geodes.
I think Gnashblade did it in revenge. They didn’t chose him, so he blows their ship up. He also sold LA out by telling scarlet how best to attack LA. He’s responsible for us not getting the fall of Abbadon. if he hadn’t chosen it, we’d’ve gotten it by now. In fact, that makes him responsible for the explosion at thaumanova reactor. Actually, now that I think about it, he probably funded the aetherblades, making him responsible for everything they did. And he finaced the experiment that created scarlet. So, he’s responsible for every death she caused. He’s, in fact, tyria’s greatest monster.
I must agree. Why else would gem exchange rates keep rising?

Uh, I think got some of your information wrong. Maybe.
So I’ll use Kryta as our reference point. The Maguuma Jungle/Wastes is to the west of Kryta, while the Crystal “Desert” is to the south-east. So you got that part correct. But it’s being remembered that the Maguuma Jungle/Wastes were also very desert-y in appearance. That being said, Kralkatorrik is on the other side of Tyria. I’d love to fight him, totally would kill to go to the Crystal Desert, but unless Kralkodile decides to come out of a hiding go bonkers in the lush desert he made his home in, I don’t exactly see us fighting him anytime soon.
Everyone in game right now (at least in my DR shard) is saying the Zephrytes being blown up is more anti-Cantha from NCSOFT and forcing Anet’s hand and squashing any sort of chance we will ever see our beloved continent. I don’t think that is true and people are just making up conspiracy theories just cause they can.
They also are saying all the Asian faces we have at creation and makeover kits, Majory and other Canthan descent popular-figures in the game and all our Canthan artifact items (ascended stuff and our jade weapons) will all be removed this update too.
They do that you know for sure I’ll never play this again. And never but a product form either company ever again.

The game is now synced up with china. They are developing for both games. It is illegal for them to include asian things that aren’t specifically Chinese in the Chinese version of the game. Thus it will never be developed for our version.

90% of the world doesn’t care about America getting attacked (and I apologize for bringing that up if it offended anyone[but its true]), just as 90% of Tyria probably doesn’t care that a city of ‘ex-pirates’ just got wiped from the face of the planet.

To be fair, that’s because it’s been 13 years since 9/11. Immediately after it happened, it was all we could talk about.
True. But the idea is the same. Furthermore, restoration efforts didn’t begin a few months to half a year after the attack, as it is with the case of LA.
I know it came back a few months ago, but I wasn’t here and I’ve been waiting for it for awhile. The small time I take time off and wasn’t playing GW2, the item I’ve been groveling over comes and goes faster than a shooting star.
I know there’s no way to make an exception, so instead could I get a rough estimate when it’ll come back? I really want it for my character.

@webtoehobbit: I can’t answer that lol, I’m not Anet. My guess would be that Rata Sum has multiple forces to offer resistance. And anyway, how do we know if anyone actually attacked them, as opposed to an accident? Not that I agree.
But nonetheless. Most evil organizations (terrorists for the smart ones) would attack the peaceful village that had no ties, that had absolutely nothing to do with anything, as a way to provoke their enemies.

Whatever. This argument is pointless and off topic. Believe what you want to believe. The evidence is blatantly obvious. Anet could probably spell it out in legalese and you would still be unsure.
Fair enough, but the title to this thread was about speculation. I am not making wild, unfounded guesses here. And if we are using legalese, then the separation of font color in that trailer is obviously misleading. The name of the update is “Gates of Maguuma” and it’s launching “July 1st”. However hopeful I am of getting a new zone on day 1, it doesn’t look to be the case that we are heading into a brand spanking new map on day 1.
I’m guessing it hasn’t occured to you that perhaps the “arc” is called the Gates of Maguuma; as opposed to a single update, it could be couple of updates.
Think of Flame and Frost. It was 4 updates long. It would not surprise me at all that this is what Anet is planning
I want to see this become a focal point some time soon. Too long have I wondered where ol’ Krolkodile has been.
Plus, think openly for a second. Maguuma Wastes, not Jungle so much. GW1 maps had a desert-y feel in a lot of areas, or a sahara feel.

Maybe she did disobey the warnings of the guards in Zephyr Sanctum and got inside one way or another. But then Scruffy’s energy cells produced a slight, but significant, magical interference that reacted with the crystals inside, and KABOOM!
Addendum: Where do golems get their power source? Is it the same with the Zephyrite crystals? This makes me suspicious about the power source of Rata Sum itself.
Love the idea. But with the fighting of a most-likely Inquest golem, I don’t exactly think that. What with Asuran lands being near, a new dragon (and energy) to study, and all around being jerks.

From there just follow the steps they give you. The first step will be to select the category of issue you have, in this case “purchase issue” probably is the one.
However, they almost never replace an item lost due to player deleting them. but I had a bunch of extra gems so I just gifted you a broom – let me know if you don’t get it.

Fill out a support ticket under purchases and state your issue about accidentally deleting the item through the character. As long as you were the one who purchased said item and they will check your account, they can supply you a new one. I’ve personally had similar issues and they have always come through. They quickly respond and are extremely lenient.
There doesn’t appear to be an option for this, mate. Unless I’m not looking in the right area.

Personally I love the Aetherblades. Pirates? Yeah, super interesting. But flying pirates? I’m sold.
So, I went full idiot and deleted an Elementalist I had about a week back. However I totally forgot I had my Riding Broom on her until about 5 minutes ago. I was wondering if there was any way to retrieve it somehow? It’s still in my purchase history so I can provide a picture if anyone needs it, but I cannot say the same for the item.
Would love if an ArenaNet employee/developer responded with some positive news, or anyone who’s done similar things.
I just hope we actually get to fight an Elder Dragon, not kill him pathetically with cannons and an airship and stuff. That made me mad. Shoot, Destiny’s Edge fought Kralkatorrik by themselves with little-to-no external help. Yet when you fight Zhaitan, the big baddie of your personal story and the boss of Arah, you kill him while he is “helpless”, holding on for dear life to a giant tower?

Because its not Ascended and only Ascended quality items should be able to have infusions in them. That is why they changed it. it was probably an oversight in the first place.
