Let’s try and keep the thread worth reading this week and cut out all the blobbing accusations. Who cares any more? Every server has blobs, deal with it.

Good post, I’m sick of this new word “blob” its Anet mechanics which make you safer in numbers, every server does it with random players following each other. Anet needs an icon where only guild members can view so it doesn’t attract pugs to their group.

I really enjoyed Daoc sure it had its own problems but it was by far the best mmo I’ve played. Since then I’ve tried many “the next big thing” game but nothing ever touched Daoc for server pride and pvp(rvr).

I think GW2 is on the right tracks towards what daoc was and I haven’t played a game which ever managed that feat.

Nothing will ever beat daoc for me but for a free to play game GW2 sure is good.

Was great to see AG pip it at the end. It’s a massive step for us to win T5. We have develop an improved a great deal to beat the likes of AM & Jade so well done to all who took part.

Another week with these guys and I can already see AM want some payback for finishing 3rd.

How come AG (what seems to me) suddenly became such a good WvW server? A month ago we were between two tiers, going up and down after every matchup?

We lost a few guilds early on an dropped hard. The players who stuck around have been trying their best to drag us up the rankings. We now got our own forums, a server wide mumble channel (with guild rooms if needed) we run weekly server events and we also have a few key players who spend their time training new comers to WvW.

We are under no illusion that T5 will be a hard week but it will be good for us to see what other servers do.

What did you unclick?

Yes having problems with bootfiles but its caused by comms running in the background.

Hi guys,

I seem to be getting lock ups whiled running Teamspeak/Mumble and Guildwars.

I notice the game starts to struggle for a few seconds and no one can no longer hear me on comms. The icon is locked on Teamspeck/Mumble that I’m talking but I’m not. I can still hear others and can still play the game.
If I alt+tab back to desktop I have to restart windows explorer to safely to reboot.
If I don’t restart after fixing windows explorer I have to hard shut down then I get this screen(1st screenshot) and I have to boot off Window 7 CD an repair as the boot system will not find my SSD Kingston?
Then I get this screen (2nd screenshot) and repeat repair off CD which finally brings me back to my desktop

I have already replaced the hard drive but that hasn’t solved the problem. I’ve disabled the Realtek High Definition Audio & Intel® Display Audio drivers but still no joy.

Sound wise plugged into the laptop is Plantronics USB headphones and Sound blaster X-Fi Go USB sound card.

All drivers are up to date.

Yes very much so. After losing so many guilds we had to build from the bottom an find the real core players. We now have an active forums active mumble and WvW server events for everyone to take part in. We might not be the finished article yet but you see a lot of people trying to improve things.

It’s in our favor that Aurora concentrates on their BL and Eternals.. so Jade won’t get much points there, they won’t get much on our BL and we press them on their own.

It’s working out quite well and we hope Aurora appreciates it that AM nearly never capps their BL. We want you guys to get second place and Jade third. That would be neet ^^

Tonight there will be the event with [MdA] [IBM] and [FIRE] deployeds.
I think we have to get inspiration from AG who does Server Wide event, but they have a solid wvW community with the site.

We are trying to build up our server after losing so many players when server transfers came about, as its been said you will find the core players when you hit rock bottom to build your foundations with. AG is out manned this week but we are trying out tactics an trying to stay in touch with the overall score.
Anyhow, we feel your pain & best of luck to you, if things don’t work out come check us guys out on AG.

Honestly, AG, you have some very good players (same goes for WR ofc), but it’s hard to appreciate individual skill when you outnumber your opposition in every fight 5:1. It’s fine, it is effective with the downed mechanic etc. favoring zerging, but if you just organized and split in groups of 10-15 well coordinated people hitting multiple locations, I think it would be more educational for you and your enemies as well.

I don’t know what’s going on, but I’m not seeing much activity from the commanders I’m used to (Elviik, Shadow Ray and Juves). There’s usually only 1 commander per map, and frequently, there’s no commander at all. Also, FURY and UNITY seem less active than they used to be.
Yes, we compensate our lack of organisation with numbers, but that’s not going to get us far when we go up another tier next week, and it’s not the most enjoyable way to win.

We do have a few taking a break this week. Our numbers are taking care of business so I guess tactics isn’t in a great need this week. A lot of us are preparing for next week match up hence the reason why you been seeing some odd portal bombing.

Last night was fun with KISS until one of their members with a legendary GS took out my arrow-cart

I do think WR could make a better push for 2nd if they got more organised, we seem to be having long winded battles with you guys in open fields when you could be taking camps etc.

Such a shame, I’ve seen this happen to so many games in the passed and after reading all the build up towards the game it seemed guildwars had strong guidelines which now their doing a U turn on.

At some point they will have to reply to the forums but can’t they understand with every passing day their brand is getting damaged an poeple are losing faith in them?

Underworld pulling big numbers last night! Think its been one of the better wvw week myself.

Last night fight with Drakkar on their bg at hills was great. I liked their pull and push trick at the south/East gate.

AG had this hardship a few weeks go thanks to transfers but we have now become a stronger server with server comms, better commanders, server forums etc. we dropped a few places but now we are standing on better foundations. GH will be fine within time and you may find your server better off.

Will be dinging level 80 over the weekend and still unsure what I should be doing regaurding armor? I have about 120k of karma, but should I be getting rampager crafted rather than spending the karma on t3 armor ?

Sadly AG doesn’t have a server wide channel, of course guilds use ts/mumble and cooperate but we could really use one main channel.

Maybe it’s time we sort something out?
