I don’t think Corporal Bane’s twitter ever stated to be fan-made. I don’t think it needs to be either, and I doubt many people who’d think of making such up (there’s a lot of such folks) would bother.

Besides, it does say: Tyria’s new (Un-Official) Master.

Could just mean it hasn’t happened yet because technically this patch isn’t in the past, it’s still live content, and Scarlet is around.

But yeah, nonetheless I still think it is very entertaining, and definitely like RPers and how they get into character so much

I suppose you are being technical and Anet doesn’t run that account, but a 3rd party fansite that is being fed art is posting it?

Or that they just won’t admit that they’re running it for the community’s amusement and lore involvement.

Are we getting the patch preview page for the January 21st patch tomorrow? (If we follow the prior trends..)

Every 10 level shift basically needs an extra 15AR.
At that AR, you probably can go up to 70s in levels lol

The next 4 releases are being extra-worked on, meaning expect something impressive.
And it’s been hinted, especially with end of the story arc, that we’re going to be done with Scarlet and can finally move on after those 4 releases basically.

I just want to see any of the following:

1. New level cap, potentially signifying new explorable area. However, make sure to make ascended and legendary-level gear immediately reach that new cap.
2. Death of Scarlet as well as progression in the storyline and living world, possibly meaning moving out of Tyria, or exploring more of it?
3. New ways (that aren’t RNG-based) to acquire precursor weapons, or eventually precursors period for whatever other legendary they come up with.
4. Polishing and improving TP. The “error has occured” bug when selling is a pain when you wanna sell off all your dungeon goodies.
5. Increase in Fractals of the Mists level cap, as well as even more new fractals! (Fall of Abbadon anyone?)
6. More implication of Evon and Kiel in the LS, or eventually maybe the personal story?
7. New utility skills, or even elite skills, for each profession.
8. In link to 7, maybe access to another weapon per profession?
9. In link to 8, maybe a new profession (if they add explorable zones, or increase the cap, it would make sense with the story).
10. In link to 9, maybe a new playable race? (Tengu maybe?)

Then again, I’ve actually been very happy with the 2-week releases. Albeit not much is permanent, the game has come quite a long way, so good job to the developers!
Account Wallet and LFG were much needed, and they’re great!
Now, time for the innovations to kick in!

For some random reason, my client that has always been running on Windowed mode appeared white (not responding/loading, which always happened before and then responds and I’m at character select) and then after a while will just disappear, but is still running in the task bar.
When I hover over it, it shows that the window is incredibly compacted, but when clicking it I can’t do anything because nothing shows up.

Any ideas what might’ve caused it? :/

PS:
I’ve tried the -repair and deleteing Gw2.tmp, still nothing.
I’m running on a HP Envy laptop, and it was fine up until now. Also running Win7 64bit.
If I give it some time, and click on the taskbar Gw2 icon (meaning it’s running), I can hear the character select screen noise. Hitting Enter would log me into the game, but still nothing appears.

curious to know how “farming” mats (and/or lodestones) is still a thing right now..

My 2cents: for those above fotm 30, and for those who are possibly (though not certain), losing infusions and whatnot, compensation SHOULD be given to not erase the effort..

So from my understanding, the reward level is irrelevant unless you’re playing in a higher level, correct?

I.e. reward level 36 plays at a fotm 2, will get rewards based off of 2, and not as if he was in 36, right?

So some of my friends have told me that there is a chance precursors will be easier to acquire (or more likely to acquire) via the new fractals.

Is this true? Because I know that as difficulty progresses, rewards get better…

It says “Double click to communicate with Zommoros” or something like that.

Also, if the crafting for precursors becomes a thing, they did mention that the new t7 ascended mats would be involved, so expect bricks and globs of dark matter or something new.

They did say some of them may be delayed to a later date or early next year.
However, I believe the patch on December 10th should address skill balancing and stuff like that, so new skills/traits may surface then.
Also, precursor crafting, pvp legendary, ascended armor, etc. are all already within the game (data mining proved it, as per reddit), but not currently accessible, so any time within the 2 patches they may come, or maybe early next year.

I actually got one randomly.
They’re muuuuch easier than precursors to get, theoretically, since their odds are more in favor.

The only issue is that it’s a box of any ascended weapon but its with their fixed stats.

I.e. you get a box to choose a weapon with Settler’s stats.

Basically you don’t choose the stats…

If by that you mean what we can purchase, I’m also curious to see if anything new is being added to the vendors..

Although it may not be in the update coming next week, there’s at least 3 updates before the end of the year (if they keep this up — which they likely will!), so bear in mind that everything can come, but similarly everything may not come, or not fully.

It was splendid and they should do it more often!

I doubt they’d nerf dredge fractal considering it’s one that requires coordination, but is totally feasible.
That being said, it may be 3g since it is quite long (comparable to Arah p4) and may require more coordination with the new additions.
I wouldn’t be surprised if gold gain is higher the higher level you’re in.

I think your list is about right.
Harpy could be short if the group is solid (or maybe medium), but yeah.

Although it may seem to you like you’ve lost your progress, now that everyone higher than 30 would be reset to 30 (myself included), and that the progress is account bound, you can pick your character(s) and grind them to the highest level you want, and then gloat about it account-wide.
Also, with new rewards and bosses at all levels, I’m sure it’ll be fun to relive the ‘lower’ levels.

And I got the chills, being a hardcore fractal player!

I honestly do care about Scarlet.

When coming up with villains, or with any characters, development and prolonged story to grow the curiosity and intellect of the persons involved is essential.

That being said, I’m sure that in due time we’ll all understand everything that’s happened to this day, and eventually unravel the story behind Scarlet, and possibly know more.

Thus, I’m curious to know where she disappeared off to.

I couldn’t get a proper screenshot, but if you play the story instance or re-watch it on YouTube, look carefully at the portal she leaves from.

So after beating the instance at the top of the tower the first time, at the end of it Scarlet goes through a portal.
After examining it a bit, it seems like one of her usual hideouts, but on the left-ish side it’s kind of like a desert….

My imagination’s gonna go crazy, I’m thinking Orr, Elona, Crystal Desert, or anything like that.
