You realize that if your Shake It Off! changes were implemented, Shake It Off! could potentially remove 4 conditions (soldier’s runes), provide 10 seconds of protection and regeneration, heal (vigorous shouts) and have a 20 second cooldown (lung capacity). There’s a difference between bringing us up to par with other classes and making us extremely overpowered.

lol, look at ele, he has 5+ diferent boons up 100% time, i remove it with necro corrupt boon, 1-2 sec later all conditions gone and his boons are up again

Greatsword:
Burst skill – is now 100 blades and it can be used while moving.
2 – is now AOE knockback with massive damage
5- is now bull’s charge
3- now applies cripple

AXE:
5- damage increased by 30% and gain stability for the duration

Shake it off utility: now remove 3 conditions and grants regeneration and protection for 10 sec

Defence trait’s:
- Dodged march is now first minor trait

Discipline trait’s:
gain 1 % burst damage for 1 point instead of 1% per 10 points.

Tactic’s trait’s:
first minor trait – increase armor from toughness by 50%

Even with these changes warrior would not be even close to mesmer or ele, but it could be a good start.

The AoE limit is due to technical limitations.

Only skills have an AoE limit of 5. While there should be a cap, 5 is definitely too small of one. 10 is more sufficient.

I know. It sux to build siege and beg for supply, i like to be mobile and fast, often people don’t help to build siege or don’t have supply. Especially when small group are defending against massive zerg.

So i was wondering why do we have this aoe limit ? for example if 3 brave people trying to hold on against 30 ppl zerg whats wrong if they nuke many dumb people that just standing at the gate and auto attacking and not being aware or thinking at all (some may be even afk) ? those 3 people are already outnumbered + down state + 5 target limit ( that can be mesmer with 3 clones + ranger pet) what kind of philosophy is this, already we have a crappy down state mechanic that favor team with higher number of players.

Only thing that makes fun for me is killing a skilled player or killing many noobs. Arena net is promoting zerging and not small tactical battles, where small, well, prepared, organized group can wipe entire zerg. Maybe you will say it is possible to wipe zerg with small group, but aoe limit and down state is making this extremely hard and game mechanics should favor small organized group and not zerg.

But i guess Anet will not remove down state, but please consider removing aoe limit at least.
Please share your thoughts and suggestions.

I am deeply surprised how can game developer’s be doing things so bad, i mean seriously i can’t believe this, what is worse QP system or invisible rank’s ? Btw was this the major pvp/wvw patch ? Where is our arena’s and duel’s ? who is best player now ? (i wanna see how they play and what rate they have).

I think Arena net has a saboteur inside that wanna kill this game….

Or maybe you need help ? i know some good programers that can help you add dueling option or duel area in heart of mists. it is much easier than 9 dungeon’s (fractals).

Whirlwind attack vs phantasmal berserker

Today i tried out a shatter mesmer, and i can say for sure it is a god mode compared to warrior. How come a class that has stealth, clones and allot of escape tricks can do more damage than warrior ? phantasmal berserker does more damage than whirlwind attack + it cripple foes and at the end you can shatter him for extra damage and while you doing this you are dpsing your enemy with auto attack, all this is massive ranged aoe damage.

like seriously warrior is just a joke whirlwind attack is only not clumsy smooth warrior skill but it still doesn’t match mesmer which has uber version of this + many many more.

I would prefer to have a warrior roamed assisting me bunkering mid in tpvp than I would a thief. A thief can burst one target and get out, warriors 100b can hit multiple targets, and considering a teammate can set up the cc easy as kitten it can be used quite frequently. Oh their team is trying to Res a player? Warrior 100b the lot of them make those kittenes pay for trying to Rez. A backstab thief can’t assist in other things other than dps, nowhere near as easily as a warrior. A warrior can provide cc’s like shield bash and bull rush, fear me, or stomp, a backstab thief doesn’t brig any cc to the group.

Thief can shadow refuge ress teamate, fast cluster bomb spam on close target, steal fear/whirling axe for mass aoe to take down people that try to ress, dancing dagger hits both twice (jumps 4 times), trick shot, spam daze with pistol for interupt and many many more……. i guess your team suck if you prefer a war.

and 100b warrior burst build could not survive mass fight and would be first one to fall

i have total 5 characters: necromancer, engineer, ranger, thief and warrior. all of them are pretty good balanced and have their own strength’s and weaknesses, except warrior. So lets take for example 100b, which is only way to deal high dmg, the skill itself require utility assist 100b+ bolas or 100b + frenzy and bulls charge, because bulls charge itself is not long enough for 100b to complete. So here is the worst part that newbie/noobs cry about how they get one shot and in serious tournaments 100b war is getting stomped like rat. In general all warrior attacks are slow,clumsy and easy to dodge, it is so hard to take down anyone without quickness.

So some one please answer this:

*Why have warrior point defender while guardian and ele is better in every way ?
*Why have warrior roamer while thief is better ?
*Why have warrior support dps / cc while there are many better choices with more dps and survivability, like rifle engineer ?

another strange thing is that for burst dps class power/precision and crit dmg is required. In warrior traits all those are in different talent tree
how about discipline talent tree where you spent 30 point and get EXTRA 3% BURST DMG !?!?? lol.

Only way to survive for some time is to have shout build with condition remove runes, while guardian removes conditions just from 1 trait every 10 sec

So my suggestions are:
*Make warrior attacks bit faster
*Greatsword need a complete rework, 5th skill of gs should be bulls charge and burst skill should be something different.
*warrior needs more stability buff and condition removal
*Whirling axe should do more damage and automatically give stability for the duration
*Discipline talent tree is a joke
*Warrior defensive traits is a joke
*Critical chance and critical damage should go together in talent tree.
*Warrior is mostly a mele class and deserve perma 25% speed buff

With these changes warrior could be a least playable. I am almost rank 40, i played allot of games and tourneys and i never saw a good warrior, i tried everything with my warrior, every possible build, i can have some fun with noobs in 8×8, but serious tournament is impossible.

Asura - unfair pvp advantage

This game requires to monitor your enemy movement, see what he is doing, what kind of weapon is he using. how ever asura is so small that sometimes it is hard to see difference between, for example mace/ axe warrior, with spell animations and constant moving it is hard to say at all what weapon do they have.

Asura mesmers is totally ridiculous, to distinguish mesmer from clones you require huge awareness and constant monitoring of surroundings, while mesmer is asura this makes thing so much difficult.
once a norn was ressed by asura i simply didn’t notice that he is being ressed. As a back-stab thief, where you have couple seconds to react it is almost impossible to see difference between enemy front or back, especially when they wear a pirate hat, only thing i see is this round and ugly head.
There is also alot of skill that are visual and requires interruption (stolen thief fear, killshot, moa, eviscerate and many more…).
So a simple question to developers what you gonna do about this ? can you make them bigger and their arm longer ? because the way this game is played such thing as asura should not be allowed.

Devastating 2 min cooldown on a stunbreaker

signet of stone is one and only decent protection against massive damage while stunned and immobilized, it has frustrating 2 min cds, while thief can instagib people every 45sec. Also ranger has to sacrifice grandmaster trait. so wtf ? why ranger have to pay such a price for a stunbreaker ? and i dont care about 20% signet cds trait, still too big cds.

I am really sick of people (noobs) whining in forums, so i wanna give some positive feedback. This is by far the best mmo i ever saw, pvp balance is great, ( mesmer moa and portals is annoying as hell, but i can deal with it). I dont do much pve, but leveling in this game is amazing, i already have 4x level 80, but most of the time i spend in tpvp and wvw. Graphics of this game are nice and I really love how you decide to support this game by gem shop and making it free to play. Only thing this game is missing are duels and more pvp modes, maps, but i am sure they will come with time.

I am really sick of people whining about thief being op. i come with my thief and kill some noob glass canon with no stunbreaker in 2 sec and often they complain even in map chat. I think the reason of this is that killing in such a shot time is humiliating (this is how Anet punish bad gameplay and i like it), they would say nothing if i kill them in 2 min over and over with them having no chance to win. How ever i realy struggle in paid tourneys and i am looking forward to improving my skill. Noobhunting in 8v8 is one thing, paid tourney is very different. Btw i also love engineer profession and flamethrower, but i feel that this class lack mobility. I dont want to make this topic too long because no one will read it, so thank you ArenaNet and keep up the good work .

I cannot believe that there are people that think gw2 is pay to win, i have full exotic armor, buying dyes, boosters and food for wvw, and i never payed any real money, you can get around 1g from 2h intensive combat in wvw and marks for siege weapons. gem shop is absolutely best way to support developers. And btw whats the point to pay money for wvw victory ? who cares what server won, no one even know what guild or people brought victory, main reason for wvw is fun. And even if some guild decide to buy some boosters and siege weapons, how op is 5% damage boost ??

For example death blossom bleed duration is 11 sec, then i change some runes to increase bleed duration +30% and still icon shows only 11sec. the bleed duration actualy increases (i think) to around 14 sec, but it’s still annoying. Condition duration changes when i add it from traits, but not runes, and i am not sure about weapons.

This signet randomly don’t give +50% damage bonus. I tested allot of times on bots and dummies today, using: cloak and dagger > assassin signet > backstab (standing right at the back). active effect sometimes disapear right after cnd with no attack used. I don’t know what is triggering this bug, but there is clearly something wrong.

So the problems is when i shoot at enemy who is standing in front of me with no obstacles, i cant hit him because it say obstructed. this happens totaly randomly sometimes more than half attacks becomes obstructed, sometimes less. Maybe some one has more info what kind of bug is this and when it will be fixed ?

So the problem is when thief steal this ability he does double or triple damage of the warrior and most of the time evade all attacks, well big damage from thief is acceptable. but where from comes the attack evading while doing whirling axe ? i am not sure if this is a bug or developers think it’s ok. So please someone answer me.

As for the dueling, I’ve been seeing this pop up a lot all over the suggestions.
A way this could be implemented is just to create a certain area. Like, they could make it a new location in any of the major cities. Kind of like an arena. Though conceptually, it’d work sort of like keg brawling. You go into it as parties, and anyone in your party can duel with anyone else in that area. Somewhere near Black Citadel or Divinity’s Reach would work really well.

maybe some large area in heart of mist would work better for pvp balance.

Hello i wanna suggest to add some hardcore lvl 80 maps, i really enjoyed that only one lvl 80 map we have, but i think we need more and with big world bosses (which would be much harder than those we have now) and a lot of dynamic events, those maps would be great for farming materials and items while having magic find. i know Arena net hates words like “farming” and “grinding” but you cant escape them, doing one event after other is a form of grinding, but most important thats it’s more fun than any other mmo, so there is no problem with that, people want better items and they will grind, but im glad arena net making it fun.

All current world bosses are just too easy, people just way point rush to them, and im tired of getting blue items all the time. would be fair if all around way point’s would become contested. now i have newer failed any world boss and defeating them doesn’t fell like some sort of achievement.

and talking about pvp, it is in bad state right now i wanna suggest to add more game modes like: death match.
ranking system would be great, now i have no idea who are the best player’s in server and there is no point to achieve something when no one know about it, it would be great idea to make players lose pvp level experience for lost games, there could be ranked and not ranked games and so on…

this game desperately need ranked games like 2v2 3v3 4v4 and most important of all: duels, that are essential for improving pvp skill.

now only way to have some little fun is to play ranked 5v5, problem is that not always i can find 4 friends online at same time.

way pvp is now it’s just too casual, people are not getting punished for bad game play, if you want best armor and lvl 80 you can just play what ever you like, you get it sooner or later. that is wrong bad players should never have it, and they have to work hard to earn it.

And again, duels, while i had my end game gear in wow, i just chat with people in duel area, dueled people, helped each other in arena, tested new game style with different character’s, and so on. i don’t think making duel area and allow dueling requires much work, but it is very important aspect of the game. I really have no idea why you would not allow dueling ?

So that’s it for now, i know gw2 had released not long time ago and i know developer’s will expand end game content some day, i just wanted to make my suggestion’s and share what this game is missing.

In pvp most of the stats comes from amulet, weapons are disabled when bundle is equipped, in pve it’s the same just stats comes from weapon also, so that’s mean while engineer is equipped with bundle he may loose allot of stats in pve, like 150 condition dmg and so on, i mean stats that are on weapon. Please correct me if im wrong.

Game is dying, so what are you doing to fix the only content you have?

Hello, I just wana ask arena net to buff flamethrower, first of all increase flamethrower range. this is one of the coolest looking weapons for me, and it is wery sad that it’s so nerfed here. Flamethrower has smaller range even than it’s animation, sad to see people drowned in fire and taking 0 damage, not to mention overall flamethrower damage is too low. it would be really fair to have at least 700 range (on 1st skill). Today owning some one with flamethrower in pvp sounds like a joke, i can barely kill a level higher mob, a small buff would be really fair. And on 1st skill why target recieve pathetic 1 sec burn just on the last phase lol ? I understand that not all weapons are suppose to be used in pvp but this is too much, even buffed flamethrower will not have a chance to make more dps than heartseeker spam or 100 blades. So please arena net think about this and sorry for my grammar mistakes.

if you trait point into stealth lasts 1 second longer on all abilities, get on top of them before you pop stealth, it lasts until just as the animation finishes, and usually you don’t even rerender on peoples screens until the anim is done so they think you are still stealthed. If multiple enemies are around when you down someone, be lucky your not the one in the downed players position fighting to live, a glass cannon in a pack of enemies is not the place to be.

what ever, it is not about thief’s ability to finish downed player, this topic is about whole down mechanic

not forever, just longer than alive one, but if i have little hp i must run away, cuz every class has interupts and finishing move animation is longer than stealth. Thief,mesmer can teleport, war come back to life, ranger pet hits me hard and so on…

Hello, i noticed there are some posts about down state in spvp, and how people are unhappy about that mechanic . Well the more people complain, the more chances there is that down state will be removed. I wana share my thought’s about it, in a different perspective. Down state works fine in pve and wvw, but in sPvP it is just a disaster.

I used to enjoy playing a glass canon thief, like sneaking up and dealing massive damage in short amount of time but the problem is, that it take’s longer to finish a downed player than alive one because I’m on cooldowns and some times on low hp, so I just have to run away and wait for my healing spell back, then I come back (lets say downed player is another thief) I press f , he teleports, I come down pres f, he goes stealth, then I press f and he is finaly down yay!! This is just a routine I know what he will do and I cant do anything to stop it. Sometimes it is faster just to dps him. Arena net often say that “spvp is highly skill based” well how much skill you need to press stealth and teleport from your 4 button skillbar ?? This makes pvp very casual and lame.

Another problem is that there is no 1v1, victory is determined by the amount of people and down state does no help for the minority. If you are lucky to kill 2 players alone you going to have a bad time finishing them. What is more cool quickly killing 2 ppl or making that extremely lame finishing move ? i hated it half year ago when i saw gameplay movie, i hate it now even more.

Down state balances classes ? lol some people say that, well I can really notice skilled player, every class has plenty of defense abilities and if you die fast it is your problem, pvp is pretty balanced here, compared to other mmo. (Well I am not entirely sure because there is no dueling in this game) I can easily kill some players with heartseeker spam, but agains skilled players, they just use their defensive abilities , I waste my iniciative and become in very bad position.

Down state promotes team work ? That’s probably the only benefit form this terrible idea. I always admire how there is no holy trinity, every one is on his own, then why I need to wait for someone to ress me ? when respawn is in few seconds away. I could be capping different base. I wish there be 5th skill on downs state like “Die and respawn”.
Another extremely annoying thing about down state is that after hard fight my teammate comes from nowhere and steals my kill.

There is no point of improving your skill or going up rank because it’s determined by not how well you play but how much you play, but we all here just to have some fun right ?

All I wana say that down state is such a fail every time a player is down I know what they will do and I can’t do anything about it, to make my game smooth and fast. They get entirely new hp bar and they are immune for couple sec while falling, that is just absolutely ridiculous. They even get 4 skill skillbar how casual is that ?? in skill based pvp new player would not even understand whut’s happening and keep dying over and over, but no gw2 is like friendly Disneyland, I would not be suprised if I could put flower on downed player instead making that lame finishing move. Every noob can use 4 skill bar and make hard time for others. In fast paced combat pvp down state is totally unacceptable.

So that’s it please share your thoughts. Because I am really curious what’s can be good said about down state. And if “Arena net” reads this, please if you think down state is necessary at least make some separate pvp games without down state or ad 5th “die” button on downed player. (sorry if I made grammar mistakes).
