Please OP post a link of your build, the one you have when clicked says, BAD LINK…
The current system for LFG is this:
- Go to Lion Arch and spam /map channel for LFM AC EXP (etc).
- Stand in front of the Dungeon and spam / map channel, /Say channel for LFM AC EXP
- Guild spam for LFM AC EXP
We seriously need a better system than this and I know about flagging yourself as LFG but that system needs to be worked on, it’s seriously lacking in what you are looking for.
PS SWTOR developers didn’t want to introduce a LFG system because they believed that people gathered on a specific zone spamming the chat channels for a party was conduction to the community….the community rebelled by being disappointed and leaving the game….Now SWTOR has a LFG system but it’s too little too late we are all here now in GW2…. but if ANET doesn’t address this I am afraid the same thing will repeat itself.

This is a bit worry some? What if one of my guild mates is very active and got incredibly deep with some party, in regions where without infused gear you die nearly instantly… I wouldn’t be able to party with this person if I don’t have the proper gear.
Although I defended in another thread that it isn’t gated content, it somehow ventures dangerously close to it.And after that, if in some miraculous way we beat the dungeon, then my dungeon level will also be that incredibly deep dungeon level?
I have the feeling this requires some re-thinking :S
Don’t over analyze it, that’s when you start getting in trouble. Just play it, test it and provide feedback…this way everything you say is factual instead of worrisome guesses.

I would love a MONK themed class or a magical class that does damage and healing by stealing the enemies life.

For casters GW2 offers the Necromancer,. the Elementalist and the Mesmer. ALL of them are super fun.
My advice to you is level each one of them to level 10 so you can get a feel for the class…then from there narrow it down to your two favorite one and level them to 20 then at level 20 you should have a pretty good idea what which one suits you best.
Just make a mental note that ALL classes or as they are called in this game profession can TANK, DPS and HEAL but at a water-down version.
Meaning there are NO dedicated tanks, dps, healers….the holy trinity is all merged with your profession.

NOTHING here explicitly states these items are better in way than exotics, if any thing they could be the same stats with different methods of customization<be it cosmetic or Effect(not statisical). To be honest this thread has killed my faith in the GW2 community, i feel as if every last raging person in this thread needs to quit gaming and get therapy and stopi acting like a kittening idiot.

Also it’s pretty clear there is a stat increase, as evident by those sites as well as the lack of a denial in this thread – the only thing ANet posted in this thread was a “we’re posting a blog update soon” and that’s it.
ANET has not broken their promise, since the early days of BETA we have had armor/weapon progression in the game.
Don’t you remember leveling up and getting a “white” colored item and then doing a Heart quest and getting a “Green” item? from there you went to Yellow and then orange for exotic. GW2 already had armor/weapon progression guys! Ascended will be the next tier of progression.
What GW2 means when they talk about no traditional armor/weapon progression is that you can obtain the same item stats whether you craft, quest, purchase in the trading post or run dungeons… they will all be equal in power. Even the LEGENDARY are equal in stats as the exotic, just a cooler skin to sport.
Ascended will be the next logical tier in stats but I am sure there will be many ways to acquire this. Personally I hope they stick with Dungeon Hunting.

The game since BETA had armor and weapon tiers starting with the white colored armor, then blue, green, yellow and orange for exotic… they are just adding a higher tier than this. THIS IS NOT A NEW MECHANIC!
We have had this since beta…when I was leveling up I wore green colored items, once I reached level 80 i bought all yellow gear from the trading post and dungeon hunted to get my complete armor set which is one more tier higher than yellow, ASCENDED will be the tier after exotic.
I feel sorry for Anet. Their initial fanbase turn on them so easily.
The sad part is that these people are turning on them for something that has been in the game since launch.
Did none of you notice the different tiers of gear before this?
Did none of you notice the PvE stat boosters in the Gem Shop?
It’s like none of you have actually played the game you are now complaining about. Tiers of gear power have been here since the first week of beta, nothing is changing, they are just adding the next tier, it is literally no different then to what is already in the game.
Guys remember that this game is made for all of us and for different type of gamers.
Personally I support gear progression, is what makes me keep logging into GW2 and keep getting character progression. Right now GW2 has character progression in the sense that you can dungeon hunt armor “skins” and weapon but alot of players are put off by that…most of my friends that purchased GW2 with me went back to World of Warcraft because once they reached level 80 they didn’t have any character progression at all….everything you could have can be purchased in the Trading Post with gold and they didn’t really like hunting for “skins”.
I enjoy hunting for skins, and have a complete DPS set from TA and a complete tanking set from AC and I can’t wait for this ascended to go live…
It will give me ONE more reason to keep playing the game.
ANET please continue to give us new ways to progress our character, we start finding the game boring when we can’t get character progress.
No feedback? Anyone have any suggestion to having a UI to save favorite waypoints? I really dislike searching the map of my dungeon waypoints and even more for special dynamic dragon event waypoints… There should be an easier way.
I support this idea, there should be a UI change that would include a new window where we can store all appropriate profession specific weapons for us to change once we are out of combat instead of searching all over our bags for it. I believe GW1 had something similar, by pressing F1 and F2 you could swap to another weapon set, GW1 even had the option to save different types of “Build” and it even went further to actually link your build to a friend from any text window and he will see how exactly your profession was made up, even to the point of saving that build so he can load it up later and experience the same game style. GW1 had a ton of great ideas that I wish GW2 would adopt in the near future.
I really hope that down the line GW2 would have an add-on or a feature that would let us save a custom sets of favorite Waypoint Links.
This way I have one set for Dungeons and another set for Dynamic Events like Dragon spawns etc that I very much enjoy partaking.
What do you guys think and how can it be made even better?

The game has been worth my money, I have a level 80 ranger, a 70 engineer and now a level 40ish mesmer and I have to say that every time I start a new character I get to see new lands i never seen before, new dynamic events and quest that I just either missed or never saw trigger on my previous characters.
At heart I am an alt-holic but what I wish the most for this game is that in the future they will include more things to do at level 80.
When I was playing my ranger the only thing I had to do with farm ORR or run dungeons. I did like dungeon crawling but farming in ORR got really boring and see the same undead for so many days drew me to create alts.
Please ANET create other things we can do at level 80 so we can continue to have fun with our MAINS. Enhance the dungeon crawling experience, maybe adding specific items drops that are legendary or exotic on bosses. This will give us many reasons to go kill a boss in a dungeon. I don’t know but I trust you are all very talented and can think of more stuff to give us to do at 80.
I am not running any dungeons now because of this kitten bug, is so frustrating to put a party together to then have a party member leave because of whatever reasons and then we can’t get our replacement to enter our version of the instance dungeon.
We have all tried, logging out, logging, in, disbanding, remaking, changing leader, etc to no avail. So I decided since this bug is to frequent at level 80 dungeon crawling to level up an alt until these bugs and others are fixed.
It’s really a shame, I love this game but these things are so disheartening makes me want to return to something more stable cough wow.
I wish Dungeons in GW2 where like this:
1) Have a LFG system ala WoW
2) Be rewarded for every boss kill with specific items and tokens
3) Be able to run the same dungeon as many times as you want, place a daily lockout if the gear being rewards is that great otherwise let us run the same dungeon as many times as we want…after all some of us actually love Dungeon crawling ALOT! – ever since the days of Everquest.
4) Make boss fights interesting like have us bring condition remover to the fight, or get our of red circle, or interact with an object every so often to cause damage or range or melee but not this zerg fest we have now with no logical way of defeating a boss. Right now it feels like all u need to do is zerg the boss after u die and keep doing that till he dies, it feels cheap.
5) Do away with terrible dungeon mechanics like in CoF Magg run where you try to stay alive against massive waves of npc and all you do in that fight is run, die, run game from the grave (waypoint) back into the fight to just run around without ever figthing, healing, dodging or anything…so badly designed am embarrassed.
Maybe at least one of these will be implemented…
I agree, Also I had the experience of having a party member leave and we couldn’t get a replacement in because the replacement kept getting his “own instance dungeon” he couldn’t join us at all! We all zoned in and out and just couldn’t get our 5th member in the SAME dungeon instance as us… it was so frustrated that we all disbanded and left.
