The glyph takes a second to cast(heal skill), the seed takes a second to appear and then it needs some time to bloom. Isn’t that a little bit long?

EDIT: Glyphs are either instant or 0.5 seconds, I was not in game last night so i took info from gw2skills which isn’t up to date yet.
still, 2 seconds to get a cleanse going is too long.

I didn’t take survival skills and glyphs with verdant etching to fire projectiles over light fields. my problem here is that it’s slow, i can’t use the glyphs to cleanse when i most need them. it’s fine when you’re in a 1v1 but you don’t have the time for standing around when there are more people around.
the skill/trait fails as a group cleanse when you are on the move.

Right now it doesn’t work very well, if you try to cleanse with a glyph you have to stay on the spot for about a second to get it to work. by then you’re either steamrolled or have left the AOE.
If you try to use it in celestial form you have to put it in front of you or predict where you allies are going.

4. same goes for slick shoes, you’re supposed to be evading but you just drop down, waste your skill and don’t even proc wilderness knowledge

After the Swoop ‘fix’ the double finisher turned into 1 finisher but it’s on the leap and not the dash (from the middle until the end of the animation) so, You can’t combo while standing in a combo field (I’m not aware of any skills that work this way). You have to come from the outside of the field and judge the distance right to get that combo on your leap.
both sword and greatsword leaps need some setting up before you can use them now, what a fix.
I have 2 suggestions:
1. make the entire animation a leap finisher
2. make the dash a leap finisher and not the leap so you can combo inside of fields.

Totally agree! Dagger is now terrible. No longer will you enter battle and do a quick ninja strike. Now you enter and do flop on the floor like a confused fish, but hayy, maybe the idea now is to confuse your opponent, as they stair at u flopping around confused. Hopefully they will fix this! The only fish like thing I want on my ranger is the underwater pets!

Cufufalating i understand your point, the regen seems rather useless with eles and guardians around but that’s not always the case if you’re in a guild with people that play whatever they want. my role in the group isn’t mainly to deal damage i res downed allies, poison and stomp downed enemies i’m there to poison out target too.
I peel and bait too(when fighting pugs, guilds have brains) how do you think i got this title:D?
EDIT:
bwt i dont really use my bonfire the way i should i guess, i do 2→5→2 so it gets placed outside of the fight but you dont get shut down trying to leap your field. I should probably drop it for damage and leap it later for higher burn uptimes.
also, try 1vx with this build it’s great ^^

i was going to edit my post and ask for build to a dire build to compare mine with but your post seems to do as well I see why people would pick dire over apothecary.

i use that trick for running or catching up to people mostly. sometimes to close gaps but it’s a risky move i could afford on ST/AD but it’s a diffrent story on a longbow build because you dont have to close the gap most of the time.

on the dire vs apothecary thing:
why do people say dire is better? yes you gain condi damage(300ish?) and vitality(about 5k hp) but you lose healing power and the ability to keep your hp and your pet’s hp high. apothecary stays in fights longer and recovers from being focused faster so it spends less time without allies and more time dealing damage. i guess it comes down to playstyle and personal opinion.

Regen/condi ranger is still viable, it actualy got alot better imo, there are still flaws ofcourse such as the cleanse that is easiliy outplayed and it tends to be a bit slow sometimes mainly because of the way the sword leap works.

my build is a might stacker and my might sits between 6 and 15 stacks while fighting, add guard stacks and corruption to it and you’re over 2k condi dmg with 3k armor and 1120 healing power + a pet loaded with might and it actualy hits becasue of the swiftness from your shouts.
it dominates 1v1’s ( i feel bad using it for that), it’s quite nice in smallscale fights up to 5v5 and i think it goes down hill from there.

i do alot of the stomps for my group and take some risks while doing it, but what has been annoying me lately is that i cant cancel my stomps with lightning reflexes to get out of the danger zone quickly. Pretty much every skill can cancel a stomp but not lightning reflexes, i have to use diffrent skills first to cancel my stomp(which takes precious take in a hot zone) and then LR out. the idea of not being able to use this escape skill while stomping is not a good one in my opinion.

I’d like to see this as a QoL change in an upcoming patch

Well I was OK with altruism just because I had a set left over when trying other support builds, but hey I can stand more CM runs.

Is there a difference using HaO over Ungent or just pretty much interchangeable.

The heal is personal prefference mostly, i like HoA because its basicly a burst heal, less vulnerable to poison (if you have a feel for evasive purity) and the build already has 400ish per second healing from the signet and regen, which is enough passive heals if you ask me.
when it comes to numbers, troll will be healing a little more, but not that much,
HoA(20sec) 7643×5= 38215 hp over 100 seconds
TU(25sec) 985×10×4 =39400 hp over 100 seconds

You can keep perma swiftness if you use your warhorn out of combat, you only miss like 1 or 2 seconds on every shout.
the aristocracy build is really really strong, you can stack to 2k+ condi damage easily with some might if you have food, corruption and guard stacks already.
i think i’ve seen a 990 burn with this build.

Get your linen from karma, here is how it goes:
find a karma vendor that sells light armor between lvl 45 and 60,
buy fine/blue light armor and fill your inventory with them, bring it to the forge and salvage what comes out. 300k karma got me about half of what i needed for an entire set.

I get it nonstop basically, it’s just infuriating me by now, it doesn’t seem to matter where I even get it on completely flat surface aswell.

Perhaps I should go for my first legendary after all…

maybe not a legendary, there have to be some torches that behave the same (replacing the standard model on projectiles) and have the same effect. black lion, zenith, fractal, ascended? idk, time to try it out

i got Rogdort yesterday and i noticed the projectile doesn’t travel in an arch anymore but a straight line instead, i barely get obstructed torch hits anymore now.

I was wondering if anyone here has had the same experience.

Every time I see a ranger ask for pets scaling off our stats, I cry a little inside..Its like they don’t know they’re asking for basically a huge nerf to themselves.

lol a nerf? theres no reason to nerf the ranger if the pet damage is improved. to assume theil nerf ranger to buff the pet is outright absurd. Pet needs scaling and ranger needs a buff its a win win if you get both!

Please think, Why do you think the condi bunkers work so well? stacking might, boonsharing with out cats who deal direct damage while we deal condition damage ourselves, even if this redicilously horrible request makes it trough, it will destroy what the ranger is about and make all the diffrent pets worthless becasue they’ll scale to your stats anyways. you’ll never kill a diamond skin ele or one of those condi ummunity below 25% engi’s again if that happens.

I tried using text macro’s in guild wars 2 and it did not work (using the steelseries APEX with the steelseries engine)
It worked in a notepad but not in game, the start and send keys worked fine but the text didn’t appear.

1. I think it will work for solo roaming but i haven’t really tried. This build will not be effective enough at healing. Another issue is that your condition cleanse will be detrimental to the build itself as when EB activates your pet will instantly die. Leaving you with a huge DPS gap. Not to mention that the pet’s you chose was bad for the task. You should focus on tankier pets with more CC. Like Hyenas and Spiders.

Another issue is that everyone and their mother is speccing for anti condition these days, knowing that most “worthy” opponents run condition builds, people stock up on CC, Stun Breaks, healing and vitality. Conditions most natural enemy is a large health pool.

This build will be effective, but it’s just a deviation from the long since tried and tested BM Bunker. It will be useless in PvE since conditions in there is really really weak compared to the NPC’s.

I’d suggest you go for Clerics instead of apoth, also, spec more into beastmastery and less into wilderness survival. i’d say 0/0/20/30/20 would be a good balance between tankyness and pet power.

I hope you’re talking about not healing enough when compared to other classes. If not, i have to disagree.
I’ve only seen my pets die when they are focused, and how are you going to keep any pet alive if that happens?
High vit pets is what you need when using Empathic Bond, not high toughness. im sure it’ll help keeping it alive but mine sit passive next to me anyways most of the time becasue i don’t want to drop might in some random location or wait for it to come back, i want it right here right now.( CC is not what i want, i want support)
Those -40% condi duration foods are cool but they use it to counter everyone’s +40 food. so, you’re left with a fair fight.

I have a cleric’s build on paper but im pretty sure the dps output of this build will be higher than the cleric’s build. the dps output of the cleric’s build will probably be higher in zergs though.

Quick changes:
1. Runes of altruism to might stack allies 4 altruism/2 water. You don’t need the extra 15% BOON. That is +6 might stacks (3 upfront and 3 more when you use first heal).
2. Remember WS activates “on heal” procs at activation, use of active and death (if you trait that too). It also helps allies.
3. Sigils of battle for +3 might stacks (might stacking is your offense).
4. Vigorous renewal is your 10 pt skill for WS because it will last 8-9 seconds and you can use it on spirit summon and active ability
5. Take stalker for +5 might stacks for you and allies.
6. Leverage fact that any might YOU get which your pet also gets (e.g. most might stacking) gives the pet an extra stack with nature 15 fortifying bond. 25 stack pets hit hard!!!!!
7. Move 10 from Marksmanship to 10 in NM. For mighty swap. +3 might stacks.
8. Use warhorn always if running RAO. Your 16 strike hunter’s call should keep pet at 25 might stacks (with all the other stacks you provide) even in a long fight.
9. Consider fern hound with jungle stalker. Fern hound has a great AE regen which works with Nature’s call and the WS passive. You can get over 400 hps on allies.
10. Swap nature’s voice with nature’s vengeance frequently depending on type of fight.
11. Take Spirit of Sun to allow party to burn enemy. Signet of the wild is overkill and really only applies to you and pet. You should be backline and your hps regen is amazing already.
12. If solo, I would take Spirit of the Sun myself, but you could also consider signet of renewal for the condition removal.
13. Consider bear for condition removal.

You will want to mix and match pets and ultilities tied to the fight. I only really would swap out one trait (nature’s voice vs nature’s vengeance depending on the situation and go back and forth several times a night).

Good luck!

2. I don’t really get this one but if you’re talking about vigorous renewal, i tried it and it doesn’t give vigor to allies so i use healer’s clarity instead.
3. I’m using sigils of energy at the moment and they’re on swap sigils aswell so i can’t use them at the same time. also, it does not give AOE might which is a bumer imo but i understand why :P it seems a great sigil for 1v1 and 1vx though.
4.I think i get enough evades from my sigils, weapon skills and base endurance regen but i think i can take think trait so i can drop a sigil of energy and replace it with a sigil of battle.
5. I switch my stalker and my lynx around, i mostly run with my lynx though becasue i don’t like the stalker’s long cast time.
6. It was bugged for me today in PvE and PvP, not in WvW though. my pets didn’t get the full durtion of my boons, they got 5 seconds out of 26 seconds fury and swiftness from my warhorn and 15 out of 16 seconds of might :S
7. I tried this trait but again, it does not give aoe might :P so think this will be better in 1v1 and 1vx sitations. I noticed i was missing 1 second of swiftness and regen after destroying my traveler runes for runes that cost less than 10s :P so, i took shout mastery instead to fix that problem.

9.I haven’t used my fern hound in a long time, i’ll bring it out tonight and see what it does.
10.I’ll try switching those traits but i feel like i huge chunk of my regen is gone if i drop nature’s voice.
11.I’ll try signet of renewal aswell, it might be what i need and it works great as a panic button for your party aswell.
12. Replacing stone or sun spirit with SoR sounds nice, i won’t have to drop SotW but i’ll lose protection for my allies
13. a bear could be an option for condi removal aswell but i would prefer something like stalker/wolf over stalker/bear

Interesting idea. I have a couple questions about your choices and why you pick them over others.

1. Why heal as one? I would think that the water field from Healing Spring would be preferred so you can blast finish for even more healing.

2. You don’t have 33% more regen time picked, or reduced shouts. What’s the regen uptime on the guard me without either of those chosen?

3. Warhorn instead of dagger. I think you should do this all the time in conjunction with Healing Spring for a blast finisher. If you interupt your first warhorn with a dodge it still blasts for healing, this way you can blast it twice.

1.Heal as one is selected because i edited my old build into this one and the water spirit hasn’t been added to the build editor yet.

2. The regen and swiftness i get from guard is 17.5 seconds so i don’t need the shout mastery and that allowed me to go 10 into marksmanship for the condi duration and switch the toxic tuning crystal i used to use for a regular one and get some extra condi dmg.

3. Thanks for telling me that blast trick im going to try it out now! The reason i don’t use healing spring is because i already get perma regen from the shouts so the healing spring would be overkill. i miss the condi cleanse i bit though :P

Hello, Today i will be sharing my medic build, as you can tell my the title, it’s a support build :P the idea behind it is to get as many heals and/or boons as comfortably possible for your party while keeping enough damage to win 1v1 or 1vx fights.

(it uses the new Water Spirit but it hasn’t been added into this build editor yet.)

Gear: Apothecary. It’s simple, condition damage is just stronger than power becasue you get to stack 2 defensive stats and 1 offensive stats that ignores toughness.

Weapons: I usualy run with Axe/Dagger and SB so i can stay in the middle/back nad get some bleeds going. If my team lacks fury i’ll use warhorn instead of dagger.
(Weapons have Shaman stats for the vitality.)
Axe/dagger and SB is a weaponset that stacks alot of bleeds, buffs your pet (Axe #3 and SB #4) and is able to deliver perma poison with ease. sadly, it isn’t able to run away

Runes: I use 2×Water 2×Traveler and 2×Monk runes for their boon duration.

Sigils: I use Sigils of Energy on all my weapons so I can keep dodging and keep that protection stacked. If i carry a mainhand and offhand i’ll use a Sigil of Corruption aswell for extra condition damage.

Traits: 10/0/30/30/0
In marksmanship:
10 points for the condition duration and Keen Edge for the bleeds.

In Wilderniss survival:
Healer’s Clarity for the extra revive speed, Exactly what a medic needs.
Offhand Training for the decreased recharge on dagger or warhorn skills.
Empathic bond: Condi cleanse, Who doesn’t want that?

In Natue magic:
Spiritual knowledge: spirit buffs now have a 70% chance to trigger on hit. This means that the passive buff activates almost as soon as it’s applied, Making it more reliable.
Spirits unbound: Needed to make the spirits follow you not much more to say about that
Nature’s Voice: This gives your party and/or you spirits perma regen and swiftness if you keep spamming ’’Guard’’ and im pretty sure they love it.

Skills:
Heal: Water spirit, I think this is a great heal if you’re running support I know there are people that will pick healing spring over the spirit but i have perma regen already and using HS on top of that would be overkill
Utility 1: Signet of the wild, Passive 130 hps heal, quite nice
Utility 2:Stone spirit in smallscale situations so your allies will get some protection and I use the Sun Spirit in 1v1 or 1vx situations because this build already ha perma protection for itself and the burn damage is quite high.
Utility 3: ’’Guard’’ this skill needs to be spammed for perma swiftness and regen.
Elite: I run with the elite spirit for it’s passive hp regen(480 every 3sec) and the warbanner ish skill. I use rampsge as one aswell becasue this build is quite vulnerable to CC. If i do get caught by the hammer stun i spam SB #3 to get out of there(it has a 1/4 sec cast time)

Pets:
I usualy run with a Lynx so i can combine it’s F2 skill with SB#4 and stack 8 bleeds with 2 actions.
I use a wolf aswell, mostly so i can fear the people away who are trying to stomp me or my allies and make some time to revive.

Pro’s:
- Healing from a possible 5 sources and 4 for your party.
- Perma Swiftness, Regen and 26 out of 28seconds of fury
- Perma protecion on self + lots of evades
- instant res from downed on allies with the elite spirit (terrible downtime though)
- Viable for dueling

Cons:
- Vulnerable to CC
- Possibly vulnerable to condi’s, I seem to do pretty well against condi specs with this build but once your pet dies twice it’s over.
- Spirits can die and have downtimes(25% downtime on normal spirits and 75% on the Elite spirit.)
- You won’t get as many tags in WvW as you would with a more offensive build.

Please change this back, this didn’t make my character look much better. I feel bad about getting a makeover kit to match my hair with my armor now becasue my hair is still the same as before and i can’t find a matching color.

Red moa F2 shows 18s (0% BD) of fury on the tooltip while it gives 15 seconds, Fern hound shows 12seconds but gives 10. the stalker says 18seconds and we get 15. It’s also unaffected by the ‘’Concentration Training’’ trait which might be totaly broken by itself.
cmon guys.. it’s like you made patch notes but forgot to actualy design it….

Crippling Talon's range incorrect + proof.

I noticed this while chasing people in wvw, Crippling talon would say ‘’out of range’’ while winter’s bite would hit like normal.
Is this a known issue? i sure haven’t heard anyone mention this before.
This is on an untraited dagger in both sPvP and WvW.

Edit+ i just noticed it’s actualy ‘’Crippling Talon’’ don’t kill me pleasee

Still getting burst by thieves in wvw

Are we talking about 1v1 or smaller groupfights here?
Try Gs/LB against thieves 1v1, the counterattack on the gs should take care of that backstab problem. If the block runs out, just dodge if you think the thief is going to hit you, the protection you get on dodge should help too.
If you hit with the counterattack, get some dps in with you GS and/or switch to LB so you can knock the thief back before he heals/goes into stealth. your next move is rapid fire. becasue it’s a channeling skill it will hit the thief in stealth and he will probably emerge from stealth with less than 100% hp. once he gets out of stealh you can either dps him more or use hunter’s shot to buy time for your weapon swap to come off cooldown so you can repeat for win. you can’t instantly swap back to LB after swapping to GS so you will have to dodge, CC or DPS them during this time using counterattack before or after this is your choice. The moment of clarity trait will make fighting like this against thieves ALOT easier becasue you can get the 150% damage buff with hilt bash AND when you interrupt with counterattack.

If we’re talking about smaller fights, you can do the same thing but it will be less effective because you will probably have some skills on cooldown and you will be taking damage from multiple people. it still works though, if the pressure gets too high just use hunter’s shot and look for your teammates.

(that long fight; you vs bunker ele at gvg spot which ended in a tie, remember?:p I was still in FSP server though)
