Question then: why would you transmute a Legendary to a lower rarity item in the first place?
If you would have read the notes on Ascended items, they are between Exotic and Legendary. Legendary will always be better than Ascended and Exotic.
This should go in the bugs section, lol.
How do you guys deal with the awful feedback you get by the “fan base”?
I know if I had to look at some of this feedback all day, I’d have to buy a punching bag.
I apologize to the community for setting a bad example. In the first thread I made, I replied to my thread to bump it because it fell behind in the pages. I thought it would be lost.
Anyway, here’s my solution to all of the clutter here in the suggestion section, as well as the other sections.
I’ve looked through suggestions in this section, even in the race and profession sections. I see a lot of great ideas that I’d love to see in-game, but they never have any backing by the community because either A ) they don’t see it, or B ) they don’t feel like typing out a whole reason why they want it. So since this game revolves around community feedback, this would be a great way to see what the players want in your game.
I suggest a polling system for the suggestion section.
Say someone has an idea, like the ever popular “race change” want. One should be able to make a polling thread so the community could vote in it (yes/no/other-with reply) There can be four levels of the polling, which should evolve the suggestion section to have four off-sections.
- 1) Cold – The poll is just starting, or it hasn’t received much attention, or it has received too many ‘no’ votes. It will remain in the ‘cold’ section until it receives more attention. This is where members/players can go to see new ideas. Should a poll receive a certain amount of ‘no’ votes, the thread should be locked/deleted.
- 2) Warm – The poll has caught the attention of some members/players and is receiving good feedback (the ‘yes’ choice outweighing the ‘no’ choice).
- 3) Hot – The poll has been received well by the community and is heavily wanted in the game. This is where developers/designers/leads come to see the ideas that are ‘hot’ by the community to analyze and see what they could do.
- 4) Accepted – A ‘hot’ poll will be placed here to show that an idea has been taken in to ArenaNet as an official feature to the game. The final place for a poll to go.
I feel this is the best way for the community to communicate their ideas for the game to the developers. It’s less clutter, it’s more interactive, and ultimately you hear the community clearer.
You never know, there may be an MMO changing idea in the polls.
I appreciate it guys. Get your friends who like to lurk on the forums to respond to this if they would like this.
I think this would be amazing should they implement something like this.
Thanks for the feedback. I hope this actually catches the attention of someone from ANet.
“I wasn’t directing my response at you—it was directed at everyone who seem like they’re screaming “No!”.
The only “argument” someone could come up with would be because having mounts is fun, it adds more creativity to the game—there could be a questline to get a mount based on your decisions, it makes it quicker to travel across the lands rather than wasting gold on the waypoints, and most of all, it’ll make the nay sayers mad.”Fair, sorry for assuming. But yeah, you have the right idea. Not all will agree but if enough people do than they might be added. I’d be all over having to do a questline to get a mount.
It’s cool, lul.
I just don’t understand why there are so many people actually speaking out against it. It’s not like it’ll ruin the game.
I never said I was against mounts. I said I was against people using really poor excuses to have mounts. Someone comes up with a great argument for them, than I bet ANET would listen. If people keep trying to use the “every mmo has them” excuse they probably wont. You want mounts? Make a good argument.

-NO….just NO! If buy fun you mean kicking people because they are not elitist no life nabs? Close this please <.<
There are elitists in the game anyways bro.
Use www.gw2lfg.com, makes finding groups MUCH easier.
We all use it, but hey isn’t that stupid ? Using free software outside the game just because anet is lazy and paying 50€for the game which doesn’t have even basic trade / search system??
Yes, god bless ANet for giving us a game we don’t have to pay subscription fees for!
Lets just complain about every little thing about the game, and then blame ANet.
I don’t understand why there are so many people against mounts. It’s an RPG. Almost every single RPG I’ve played has had some sort of mount in it. You sound like the dummies who were screaming “No dragon mounts!” for TES : Skyrim. -_-
It’s an RPG based around DRAGONS.
This game is based around.. what? The player? ARE YOU SERIOUS.
If a lot of players want mounts, then they should consider adding them at least. I’d love to see what they’d come up with.
So, you’re so worried about the fountain in Lion’s Arch so much that you make a thread complaining that it’s taking too long to “fix”, and it’s not even a major issue with the game?
You don’t need to explore dungeons to get world completion.
If you look in the Wiki for future updates, it will be put in sometime in the future. Just hole on to your panties.
If the currency is precious and hard to get maybe people should, step back, take a deep breath and make sure that the button they are going to hit is exactly what they want?
As my Dad always told me growing up, “Slow down, you’ll get done faster.”
(for those that don’t get that, it means its better to take 30 seconds and reflect on what you are about to do, then have to do it all over again).
I don’t understand why you’re even speaking out against it. Even WoW has a timer on vendor bought PvE/PvP gear to be able to turn back in for a full refund.

I thought this was going to be a ‘most interesting man in the world’ thing, with a legit complaint.
I am disappoint.
This complaint is nothing more than someone who doesn’t like another profession’s/class’s mechanics. If you don’t like being killed by a stealthed player while you’re downed, don’t get downed.
Nothing about Thieves were OP until players did some math and made a two shot backstab build. I do think it’s unfair that one player is able to two shot another, but when a Warrior is able to burst someone down by just the use of two abilities, or a Guardian can down someone who’s trying to finish them off, then it’s nothing more than a profession’s advantage over the other.
I wish they would have implemented weapon dyes. It would help with the customization a lot. Glowing dyes don’t seem so far-fetched though—I’d love to see those.
So basically, you’re mad that Thieves are using their stealth to their advantage?
It’s not an exploit, it’s an advantage.
It was probably just a glass cannon Warrior—little to no extra toughness at all. With those builds that have little to no toughness, you’ll be able to crit for 10k. It’s their fault, not yours, haha.
and, here’s an interesting question i’d like to pose. if thieves are so OP and require absolutely no skill to play, why aren’t the multitude of bots using them?
This is gold. +9001 internets.
@Kloaked: How much revolves around the thousands of people that are about to or in the process of killing a world boss that won’t respawn until ~3 hours after the restart?
All I know is, they made it where people in dungeons can complete the dungeon before they actually have to download the update. It’s more complicated and next to impossible to make that happen for open world bosses. It’s not like they do this all the time every day.
Title says it all. We’re all casuals in this small guild community and we’re looking for more people to join our ranks in this awesome game! We’re forming dungeon groups and we need active members who will participate in guild groups that form for world events and such. We’re all here to help—no drama, no elitists here.
We have a Guild Stash and Guild Armor—we want to max everything out, but we need you! Add me in-game and send me a whisper [Kloaked.5379] or add Spoonman.6437 and whisper him!
When ANet releases a new build early like that, they’re fixing something that blocks progress for a massive amount of players. This is an MMO and even though ‘this is your story’, not everything revolves around you.
Firstly, I legitimately do this dungeon without attempting to do any ‘exploits’ or anything to do a ‘speed run’. So when my group has to rely on more players outside of the dungeon to complete the pre-event before the dungeon opens up is both unfair and annoying, I guess I could say.
Example: today I had my group ready to go clear paths 1, 2 and 3, taking breaks in between. After we finished path 1 we decided to take a ten minute break. When we came back the dungeon was blocked and the Razen event just started. I thought no big deal, this is a normal thing anyways. It was only us attempting to complete the event. We ended up being overrun on the bridge to the instance and lost the event. I even advertised in /map chat that the event was starting and we needed help.
I’m not saying the event needs to be taken out completely, but it would be nice if the event only happened maybe once or twice a day because the rate it’s at now is super annoying and inconvenient for my group. Not many people are wanting to run the dungeon on my server anymore so there’s no one on the map to help.
I hope this get’s looked at, thanks :]
There’s this really odd beep that comes through instead of any game sounds. I know it’s the Guild Wars 2 client because when I close it, it goes away. It started during The Shatterer, Tequatl and Claw of Jormag, all three times. It’s extremely annoying and the only way I can turn it off is to reset the Guild Wars 2 client.
How long has it been since you bought it? It might take a little time possibly.
First off, I would like to point out that the game has surpassed my standards in any game I play. It’s filled with creativity: the world textures, character models/textures, weapons, combat mechanics. Nearly everything is perfect for me so far. Some things I can mind, like simple bugs in events and event chains, but something that’s happening, to me especially, is becoming a nuisance.
Lag.
At times during my gaming sessions in this beautiful game I will get this horrendous lag that frustrates me. I’m a Thief and I like to use my daggers whenever I can over my shortbow, so I have to constantly be moving and dodging. With the lag, this becomes impossible. Just earlier today I was fighting dredge in the Norn zone after completing a jumping structure for a vista and a veteran mob that guards a loot chest, the lag started. I was performing a couple of leaping death blossoms, or so I thought.
I pressed my ‘3’ key repeatedly because I was taking on more than one mob, but nothing happened. Instead, I was being hit while I was attempting to flee seeing as how my attacks weren’t working. Even though I was running away and was clearly out of reach of the mobs, I was constantly losing health to the point of having to respawn at a waypoint.
I even tried my vanish/heal (‘6’ key) in attempt to stop the combat, but it would still not work along with me attempting to still run away. I don’t know if this has to do with server population, but it does happen quite a lot during the day here in Georgia (EST Zone) to me at least. I always have a constant internet connection with a low ping, almost always below 50ms.
If this problem could be looked into, it would be so awesome. I’m really enjoying the game so far! Just these small problems and it would all be okay!
