I still CANNOT complete Shattering Setup. Tried it first day, thought I missed something. Now I’ve done 3 more Shatterer’s to see if it got fixed over time and it’s STILL broken for me. Stuck at 66% Shattering Setups for 2 months+ now.

It sounds like you don’t know about the snap to arget cast that got added to the game at some point. When you cast an AoE and your target is in range, it will center it on the target. It was a bit dinky and unwanted for a while since you couldn’t turn it off so could never lead targets without deselecting them. A pain for moving combat with AoE spells that have a decent casting time. Until recently where they added a keybonding to toggle the behaviour.

Go check out your option panel. Suggest you bind a key to toggle it?

Correct, you only go into Shroud to fire off the spells that are a dps increase and then you shift back out.

Reapershroud comes with 5 spells, not just an autoattack. The real draw of the Reaper is Deecimate Defenses trait.

But your confusion is somewhat warrented. You wouldn’t expect the Power Reaper to take the EXACT same traits as the Condition Reaper in the Reaper line. And they are clearly Condition indented. Honestly it’s a bit poorly designed. Basicly it means that at least Reaper’s Onslaught isn’t good enough. This is all talking with mostly raid conditions in mind

Just triggered Outpost: Ogre Camp : Success! Ogre knowledge of the Chak is unmatched, and the mordrem have been driven from the Great Tree. 80% Participation. NO Protector of the Great Tree credit. So 3 of the things I did failed. Come on! Do some quality control instead of releasing early please.

I have 9 columns. Every 15 minutes I find myself haveing to correct it again after it ‘s jumped to 8 columns. This is a very old bug from winter 2014 that we were really glad to have gotten rid of. Sadly it’s back since HoT. Happens seemingly anywhere and everywhere in the game that I go to.

Weird, I had it work on my Necromancer after this patch, but it crashed me again when I logged in my warrior. IT’s definitely not fixed correctly yet. Keep looking. When I go back to my necromancer, it still works correctly there.

And now my necro also crashes out on Autoloot. But only once so far.

Got this too. Crash triggers on gathering as well. Turning off in options helped. But this was the option I grinded it for in the first place… (yes, G R I N D)

I see I’m not alone in my disappointment so instead of starting another thread I’ll just add my voice to the highest one up. I absolutely loved the difficulty level in the previous BWE. It felt just right.

This? This killed my entire desire to even play the BWE so I’m thankful for the other people who are hunting the bugs I’ll never meet. This is such a disillusion going forward. With the amount of people coming here to complain about the same thing, I feel confident that you’ll make it harder again but I’m afraid you’’re going to cut the difference in half and launch with difficulty in between the last BWE and this which would still be bad. Balance is not something you get sort of right. It either is or it isn’t; and I know it’s tricky and players have different skilllevels but we can compare between then and now. How many threads are you seeing that the new difficulty is much better?

I would very much encourage you to disregard your latest tuning effort for monster difficulty/density/HP/damage/… and just roll back to whatever it was during the previous BWE.

And it breaks my heart saying this but this game, this game I don’t really want to play after tasting the previous BWE. It’s okay to die in the new world. No one in Maguuma is a new player scared off by death in a Story instance. It should put fear in us. The increased level of danger was exactly what the game needed and makes perfect sense storywise.

I agree with the middle circle being very intrusive and annoying. I would really like to see that go altogether. And if you don’t feel like ‘wasting your art’, then just let the big dragon symbol inside ‘flash’ when you switch to Herald and then fade out in a sec or 2.

I have another issue with it that I may as well list here since it’s covered by this thread title. I find myself constantly rotating my character JUST to check if the facet at 12 o’ clock is still active. This is nuts. You typically always watch your character’s back and that facet will always be obscured by your own character. These are supposed to be helpful visual clues. Since it’s easy to run out of energy and have them disabled.

I do not understand why they aren’t spaced out 3 on the left and 3 on the right. Like at 1,3,5,7,9 & 11 o ’clock. This seems like such an obvious QOL improvement that I feel kind okittenward needing to bring this up.

No Reaper Onslaught / Death's charge synergy

It seems like the Death’s Charge doesn’t go on cooldown until after it’s done it’s final strike. So even if it kills something, it won’t reset its cooldown on its own with the GM trait Reaper’s Onslaught, since it’s not actually on cooldown at that time.

This does not feel like it is intended. It’s especially dire considering that if you use Death’s Charge, you’re probably leaving the vicinity of the target and can’t finish it off with other skills anway. And it all becomes pointless rather quickly if you have to work for it afterwards since the CD is short as it is (5s).

If possible, synergy would seem like it would work if you let the CD start on activation, and just raise the CD to 6 seconds to cover the casting time of 1 second. No?

Not looking at any of the values, I must say the flavour of your entry is amazing. And it would have fit a jungle expansion a lot better than Reaper. There’s really nothing about it that I don’t like. As someone who’s not a stranger to gamedesign, I commend you on a job really well done. Without having seen any other entries, I would imagine you’d end up close to the top with what you’ve put together. Congratulations.

As a necro main, I really felt like throwing my hands up in despair after you said Scepter is a balanced Necro weapon. I really feel you shot yourself a bit in the foot right there. Scepter is actually quite bad, whilst still being the ‘best’ condi weapon :-(. Supported by a silly trait. It’s supposed to be our best Condition weapon and it just fails and causes all kinds of problems to actually come up with a condition build that is any good. It’s why our main ‘condition build’ relies on returning actual damaging conditions we get from other players. Which is terrible. Scepter has low damage, no burst, wasted 3rd skill. The cripple would be sorta okay if it wasn’t so difficult to land and had a damaging condition other than bleed.

The point you make about leaning on Torment on a melee condition build however is spot on and really makes no sense. I liked the idea tho, especially if you could move mobs… but then, why oh why did they make this a melee build. I don’t even…

I tried making something work with Minions and Unholy Martyr and camping shroud. It was the first time since the weeks of the launch levelling my necro that I slotted any minions. I honestly must admit I had no idea it was this bad. They literally stood around doing nothing most of the time. After 15 minutes it was clear that the not attacking was not a fluke, but par for the course. So disappointing, I don’t know how you minionmancers can settle for this.

Worth noting that Deadly Strength is bugged right now. Noticed today that in Shroud it actually doesn’t give you any bonus at all instead of double the normal 7%.

Gain power based on your toughness. Power gain doubles while in shroud.
Gain Power Based on a Percentage of Toughness: 7%
Gain Power Based on a Percentage of Toughness: 14%

Ironically, if you go into Shroud, you get 0% instead of 14%. As if you did not have the trait at all.

Toughness 1112 (1292 in shroud)
2666 power without trait
2744 with trait
2667 with trait AND shroud (instead of expected 2847)

I was wondering about Warrior’s Sprint. When you trait it, Bull’s Charge & Kick get the blue Removes Immobile text. As do the movement Weapon skills. However, if you activate Rampage, its Kick and Dash skills which are functionally clearly movement skills, do not. Oversight?

Coz we have so much Vigor to dodge all day all night. Hope you don’t have Blood spec tho so your dodge creates a mark that can be triggered to suck you into combat even longer. Why did they do that? After not having mobility the nibble on our normal movement now??

Some recent observations make me bring up this very old bug on Necro’s main attack in Shroud. It should be known, but basicly boils down to your lifeblast not hitting for no apparent reason. There’s been a lot of speculating what causes this and the circumstances when you hit miss seemed hard to reproduce, which is probably why this bug still exists while being on a #1 attack. I’ve looked for patterns to better report this for over a year. So here’s the thing.

It appears that the Life Blast can be bodyblocked by friendly bodies. Could it be that there is some code limiting piercing attacks to 5 targets to limit their power (like AoE)? And could it be that somehow Life Blast is counting all bodies travelled through as pierced?

Regardless of where in the actual code the bug is, my theory is confirmed by all the Life Blast behaviour checking I’ve done since coming to this conclusion. If you line up to pierce friendlies, you will see it miss. If you move to the side, it starts hitting. If you move back you miss. If you have big targets which get hit ‘higher’ so your Life Blast angles up, you will hit much more reliably since your chance to ‘pierce’ friendly bodies is less. If you have many players in melee and you’re on the outside on a ‘small’ boss, you will almost be guaranteed not to hit. But it will hit if the boss is ‘big’. Sometimes you stay in the same place and wondered why it hit/missed; this would be other players ‘clearing’ the path so you pierce less of them.

This probably means that in regular fights with multiple enemy targets, you also miss out on some pierces if you travel through friendly bodies. Hope this helps squash this very old bug. I am really looking forward to reliably land Life Blast in the future Soon™.

Hi, I ve played necro since day 1 and I today I reached the stage again where I m fed up that this bug still exists. As an analyst and tester, it sorta bothers me that I can’t find the pattern what causes it. But I really REALLY want Arenanet to start looking into it. It’s terribly frustrating. I find myself playing with the combat log open often just to see if my Lifeblast is doing damage or whether it is fizzling out becuase at big bosses it happens so godkitten often.

Please please please look into this. This bug has bean around for waaaaay too long.

I recently came back to GW2 and came looking if there was a known bug for my Lifeblast often bugging out now. I am very saddened to find a thread that was started 7 MONTHS ago about this. Shots that clearly should have hit suddenly all miss. I can’t distinguish a pattern for when it starts or when it stops.

Has there been any indication if we will be able to transmute the new legendaries to put other skins over it? So you could for example transmute Vision of the Mists skin over Dawn and end up with a Visions skin with ascended stats that you can change the affixes of while getting rid of the Dawn skin and extra graphics (footfalls)?

I’m more of a minimalist and the flashy legendaries and their skins have so far not appealed to me. There are some other skins in the game that I do greatly enjoy so I was wondering if that would be an option, in which case I would be interested to assemble a legendary.

Sorry if this has been answered before, I couldn’t turn up anything relevant with searches.

Karma hoarding - wanted warning about change

I’m very upset again. I came home and did not find jugs as expected but a minor increase to my karma. WHAT… THE… HELL. So let’s read that again:

“We will also be reimbursing the people who used their karma during the period when the initial change was in effect with as close to the correct amount of karma as possible.”

I first wondered how you would even know what the correct amount is. That statement makes no sense. Till it dawned on me… Here’s what I think happened and someone deserves pain over this: you looked at the bonuses that WERE IN EFFECT when we drank away our supply of jugs after the news. We of course did not bother to USE any since you it wasn’t working. But the pitance of karma on my 1.400.000 million swallow is just about my accountbonus from achievements.

Really Arenanet? You thought fixing this is giving us the extra for the bonus we had running at the time when we knew we weren’t going to GET bonuses and hence DID NOT use any? Now I’m a lot more upset and disappointed twice. Rolling back is hard and not a great solution since it doesn’t play well with karma spent so I agree that adding a bonus amount is the way to go. However, you should assume that everyone hoarding it would take maximum advantage and recalculate the amount of karma based on 190+account%INSTEAD of the new 150%; as if they used all the bonuses available. Even if that gives some people more than intended, it’s better to give a few a present than everyone a slap, especially over your mistake.

Mistakes happen, you’ve got a very ambitious project on your hands. Admitting the mistake was a nice touch. Trying to fix it even better! But the way you decided to fix it is so aggravatingly stupid that it would have been better just left alone. Just change teh modifier to a flat 190% for karma consumed during the intermission and move on.

Same issue as Elessar Iso. As of yesterday I can’t get into CoE at all anymore. I m EU playing on NA server as well. Popup does nothing, walking into the portal gives me Story instead.

EDIT: I tried one more party, seem problem but guesting did the trick this time. So I’m clearly not permanently locked out.

I invested all my funds into making this sword because I loved the double hilt. Now you made it into a very bland boring Greatsword that ‘s not worth the mist it is made out of. Sad to say I feel cheated. In a game about skins, you shouldn’t fundamentally fiddle with expensive ones. Turn. it. back. Thanks.

I noticed that the power bonus from Signet of Spite didn’t affect Life Blast damage. Same damage whether if I equip or unequip.
