Ok, first off, I will say I know we all (all 3 sides) love good fights, love to trash talk a bit here and there, love to win, etc., and I think for the most part, we all frown on those (even on our own side) that have to lower themselves to questionable tactics to “win” at a silly video game.

Now while we can all agree that to “spy” is bad….be it someone in TS from the other side or someone playing on another side and telling chat commands and troop movements. But last night I saw firsthand spying taken to a whole new low I had not seen before.

Around 2am cst, I was in Durios tower in EB….myself on an arrow cart, another player on treb hitting SM and one empty AC. Suddenly a char character comes into the keep….comes up to the second floor and stands right next to my AC….never moves again….then a treb from SM (owned by BG at the time) starts hitting the courtyard and within 3 shots, hones in on our treb taking it out. Without missing a beat, the treb attacking adjusts fire and swings perfectly to take out our AC on the far side (which can NOT be seen outside the tower)….2 hits and gone. Finally, it swings all the way across the tower to the wall I was on adjusting fire only once and hits my AC perfectly. Again….2 hits gone. …..all siege gone….the char standing next to me disappears/logs….then not 15 seconds later, BG storms the tower and takes it down.

Fair play? I think not. Come on guys!….keep it classy! =)

BG’s treb crews are so stupid they don’t know how to treb a tower, and if they do successfully destroy your sieges, it must be the work of a spy!!!!

you probably don’t have any experience of trebbing Durios from SMC. A good experienced trebber sometimes doesn’t need a spotter at all, if he/she knows the possible location of the siege (it can be predicted if the trebber knows the environment well enough), firing angle, and the power required.

It is possible that the BG treb crew intended to destroy the wall, but hit your sieges accidently when he was adjusting the angle and power. It’s the first rule of trebbing, if you see the number, you keep hitting it until you stop seeing it.

Besides, if you know the best location to place your sieges, BG probably knows it too, they have been blue for a long time.

Seriously? First off, yes, a good trebber will fire around and hit many spots on a tower….I will give you that. BUT…..1. knowing EXACTLY where to fire 2. knowing EXACTLY when siege was destroyed to then adjust fire to next target 3. hitting ONLY the siege that was there at the time (ie. not just hitting where siege “should” be) 4. having a “spy spotter” suddenly there and once all siege is gone, they log off….not to mention, not long after the BG zerg comes and takes the tower……. if you can explain away ALL of those, I will give you the benefit of the doubt.

….and go back to where I said WE ALL like a good, fair fight. Hey, I think BG and SOR have very good players…..JQ has no monopoly on that….I LIKE it that way….makes the game more fun….if JQ (or BG or SOR) had all the good players and just trounced everyone every week, the game would get real old real fast. My only point was that I saw something that ALL of us can/should agree was pretty low. Is that THAT hard for you to see and say “yeh, that sucked.” ?!?!?!

1) All the trebber need to know is a rough location, treb can hit large area and multiple targets at once. And you are not the only one who knows the best spot for placing sieges, your enemies can.

2) Don’t see the problem, if the trebber stop seeing the numbers, it means the siege is gone. and yes you can infer the type of target you are hitting with by comparing the damage being dealt.

3) point 1 explains it.

All i see is someone is mad that his precious siege got destroyed by an experienced trebber.

too early to tell, and too hard to tell actually now BG and SoR are improving their coverage. From now on the match will probably be determined by many other factors than coverage alone.

For JQ, despite what i usually said about JQ, i do believe that they still have the potential to make a come back. Its large PvE population is a weakness, but it can also be a strength. Now that the new dungeon is removed, we shall see if those gold medals
actually mean anything significant other than “I have better SEA coverage”.

Unstable pve force
Lacking hardcore wvw guilds.
guild drama, what i have heard from a very reliable source.

For BG, it’s weakness is lack of consistency, we all know that it can suffer from short period of burn-out. But BG guild’s passion for wvw is its biggest asset. You should never underestimate a server that’s willing to play overtime to win a match. I still do think there’s a pretty chance BG will come out on top. I think it has the most balanced coverage in T1.

Strong SEA, decent NA
playing overtime

Weakness:
burnout, lack of consistency.

For SoR, IRON will definitely give SoR the edge over other 2 servers to compete for the No.1. SoR’s new EU will probably recover the points lost during SEA prime time and building a groundwork for NA. SEA coverage is still an issue but i actually think the current SoR SEA guilds are doing a solid job so far, given the size of SoR SEA population.

BG has the population now more than any of the other 3 but the only way you guys can win it seems is from most of your guys playing 25+ hours at a time. Guilds transfer to BG to die it seems, no guild has gone to BG and gotten stronger, they all lose their playerbase and then quit the game.

gonna be fair, before IRON transfer to SoR all, NA t1 server had weak EU.

Significantly high ppt at the end of SEA, high ppt during EU, this used to apply to JQ and now BG, but it does not necessary mean both servers have a strong presence there.

plus you gonna take additional factors into account, like:

A) is BG doing another 18 hours shift to secure the lead?
B) will there be another pve dungeon so JQ’s wvw population disappear?
C) is Waha sick?
D) JQ’s guilds, are they fighting with each other to see who has the biggest ego?
E) is Cuddlestrike gonna overload T1 with asuran cuteness and the message of love and peace?

Let’s be honest, here’s what happened. WM/MEOW/etc transferred to BG and started fighting NA/OC/AZ timezone and got wrecked. Jang and co seeing they couldn’t compete changed their schedules and started logging in en masse for EU TZ which was dead for the other 2 servers.

i hope JQ is planning some come-back this week later, you guys’ performance since reset has been absolutely terrible.

Here’s a recap of what happen in EB few minutes go ( the skill lag was atrocious)

ACs on the second EB floor. you kind of expect JQ to form a organized group and try clear out the BG zerg that was holding the stair and the ACs. Nope they didn’t. They just charged into the Lord circle over and over again, and keep dying. The funny thing is, they kept doing it. And then WM came in pretty much wiped them all.

I really don’t see any sign of coordination and organisation from your EB group.

Other map? well, JQ BL has been staying like that since last night, as for BG BL and SoR BL, JQ has no presence at all or too weak to do anything significant.

Are you guys still doing the new dungeon, or this is a sign confirming some of the trouble ‘rumors’ about JQ i have heard? ( from a rather reliable source).

It’s just a game, you guys have been 1st for so long. You don’t always have to be #1.

Because of the constant 2v1. I was completely fine with it when we were on top and its completely fine to do it to make things even. Now SOR has taken about being a bunch of kittens. Might as well rename Sanctum of Rall to Blackgate 2.

Its ok to 2v1 in specific map circumstances were its beneficial. Its also ok to 2v1 the top server to keep things even. Its not ok to 2v1 the non top server for two weeks straight on all maps.

you always pick the weakest one out of three to maximize your advantage, you avoid the one in equal power or stronger one to minimize damage.

I’m pretty excited, because the only reason that I can think of why Rawbrah left JQ and brought a lot of EMP BEST commanders/ and players with him is because he got tired of living in FOO’s shadow.

All I have to say is SoR needs to goto T2 because they cant win anything anymore, they cant even place 2nd either, Dragonband needs to come to T1 because they are clearly DOMINATING T2, none of those servers even COMPARE to Dragonbrand because its a T1 fighting type server now.

We need to start this all out war FOO vs RISE vs RE, see whose guild carries the server to victory. WE need to settle this whose the best once and for all, just screw the wvw rankings, Dragonband should be moved to T1 and SoR moved to T2.

SoR has been consecutively been placing 3rd 60-70k away, while Dragonbrand is consecutively beating up servers by 60-110k. You tell me who moves up and who moves down.

I’m only entering this silly discussion to add two things:

1. My JQ friend and I queued for the exact same map last night, it took him well over half an hour for him to get into the map, my queue had popped six times before his did. This is only an example of one map at one time zone, but please stop crying numbers.

2. We’re t1 servers crying over numbers….. Seriously? Calm down and just enjoy the fights we have. Winning every week isn’t everything… and if it is to you, then I’m sorry.

There is no hypocrisy frudoo. I completely agree with what your saying. In the past JQ has been stacked. I didn’t like that it was stacked, but its the way WvW works. I wish it were different and I believe most would agree. But the difference is here before when JQ was stacked it was admitted. Now that BG is stacked they are denying the fact. You only have to read the previous comments to see that.

About 5 days back I was farming molten alliance and pugged with somebody at the entrance. The guy mentioned he was from BG and brought up the WvW and made some strategy comments. I thought he must have been guesting when he said he was BG but it said he was from JQ. I asked him what he meant when he said he was from JQ and he told me that he left BG because he didn’t like how stacked the server was getting. Full respect for him for that. Most would just ride the easy wins.

According to some JQQers, JQ won those match not because JQ was stacked or has the best coverage, it was because they are the most skillful out of T3…which we all know is simply not true.
