If you really want it, farm gold and convert it to gems, for the gold you pay for invisible shoes you will get a lot of keys.

No, because you can farm several thousands of golds, convert them into gems, buy keys, open chests and STILL NOT GET the minipet.
What you and other people aren’t understanding, is that this minipet is RNG, available for a limited time, account-bound and gated behind black lion chests.

Aye, but mini’s were/are also tradeable. I can’t remember if there were any the weren’t mind oyu. I’ve forgotten more than I remember of the game lol

When you “installed” them into your Hall of Monuments then those ones were no longer tradeable. The only way you could trade them is if you did not put it into the hall or if you had 2 – one to put into the hall and one to trade. Support had LOTS of tickets about people getting scammed about that, trading for a mini and then realizing that they could not add it to their own hall since it had already been added.

Eh, if people can’t read, it’s not ArenaNet fault: on every minipet you could read if it was bound to a particoular Hall of Monuments or not.

What I’m seeing here, is a lot of glassclimbing to justify this add to the black lion chests.

That’s not what we’re talking about here.
Here we’re talking about the RNG wall of an item that’s not obtainable for sure, even by investing thousands of gold or hundreds of real money, because it’s account bound and there aren’t CERTAIN ways to acquire it.
If you were in game during a festival on Guild Wars, you’ll get your hat without effort and for sure, so you can’t compare it to this kind of RNG items, I’m sorry.

For those who aren’t aware of this, the patch of yesterday introduced another RNG ACCOUNT BOUND minipet, the Mini Celestial Rooster.

This is not the first time that something like this is happening, and everytime the community didn’t take it too well, as you can see in a pair of clamorous examples:

Now, not only we have another RNG minipet into the Black Lion Chests, but it’s even account bound, so players like me (minipet collectors) can’t finish the collection unless they spend a ridiculous amount of real money or gold and still not being sure to get this minipet.

What do you guys think about this move?

PS: for who will bring out of this gliders of the previous seasons (like grasping) as example, I’ll just tell you why they doesn’t fit with this argument: gliders are ONLY obtainable via gemstore.

I am incredibly disappointed with that. You’ve basically told players that getting into the top 250 is not an achievement worthy of any points. I’m saddened it seems you wont be removing the points from previous Legendary titles to align with this new decision.

The Achievement system should be to display what people achieve in game, I’d say top 250 is a great one.

It’s not the same, as many tried to explain several times.
Everyone could get those points on the previous seasons, EVERYONE.
On this season, ONLY 250 people could, and the 251th and top wouldn’t get anything.

While you guys are at this maybe you should consider removing the Achievement leader-boards entirely? They’re a pointless competition that no new player will ever be able to compete in (LS1 alone has seen to that). Then create more Achievements that can award higher points.

An Achievement should be a fun little thing that pops up in the corner of the UI as you play and an occasional source of little “thanks for playing” rewards. They shouldn’t be something you measure yourself against other players by; that’s PvP’s job.

You’re in part right, but achievements are even something that completionists like me want to complete: you can find them on every platform and on every device you play.

And the problem here, as I stated, It’s that in four year have never been a single achievement locked for just “X players”, nothing else.

Hi, I’m an achievement hunter (or at least I used to be) too, and I’m posting since many of you completely missed the point about this: It’s not about having APs tied to the prestige of being a top tier PvPer, but the fact that only 250 people in the game will get the points.

Wasn’t this a complain of the non-achievement hunters too for the Living Story 1 points? That’s the same, only that even by playing, a part will get the points, the rest won’t.

Achievement Points should be something achieveble by anyone, for prestige you have titles.

I’m completely stuck here by three days, I waited 3 hrs at first, then 4 hours and yesterday I’ve been there for 8 hours + 2 hours with a necro minion master.
I’ve found some people on my same situation and they said they were waiting the event by weeks, so It must be completely bugged.

And even If not, nobody can wait more than 6 hours for an event that last maybe 2 mins, during that time I could play, you know.

We’re expanding as community!
On the other side, we reached level 51 and working on WvW upgrades.

That is what my guildies know too, and if you did your dailies everyday, you should have completed a 4th journal by now.

But still, we don’t know if the backpack is in the game already and if not we have no ETA about it.

Since nobody is talking about it, I felt free to open a topic.
I could understand that the legendary armor is currently in development, considering that to gain that we’ll need at least to complete all the wings of the first raid, but what I can’t understand and I found shameful, is that currently we can’t obtain the legendary backpack, an item that should be bound to fractals only.
Many people I know, did all the dailies to get the pages of the three journals (the time gated thing which I’m ok with) only to find out that they couldn’t complete the backpack.

Is this ok with you? Did you even think about the timing necessary to complete the backpack and that most of the active players would have arrive at the goal in 42 days?

I’d be glad to get an answer about something like this, for once.

Currently stuck on Meterologicus III: Storm, at 27/29.

Professor Portmatt’s Lab is currently bugged on every map I joined, and I know it for sure since I’ve completed it (and got the chest opened) almost 10 times, and I can’t download any research anywhere.

Now, let’s see the most serious problem: “Rescue the quaggan at Moogooloo in Kessex Hills from krait slavery”. It’s not about a working issue, but about an event which IS NOT IN THE GAME ANYMORE.

Not counting that only the 50 Spirit Wood Planks costs more than the precursor itself, that, for me, is a serious game design issue.

Please, fix it asap.

I don’t think so, but my suggestion is to try to use wolf totem on HoT, kill some critters and then come back to kill the critters into the core game.

I got this issue only with mosquitos, but I managed to complete it by killing one on HoT areas

Location: Italy
Time and Date: almost 3 months EVERY SINGLE DAY from 18/19 CET to 23/00 CET
Game World: Far Shiverpeaks
Description: Massive lag spikes, DCings, skill delays and bla bla bla. Unplayable.
PvP Only: No, lags and DCs everywhere, on every game mod and map.
Duration: Several hours on primetime, not a single moment of breaking.
Last 5 GW2 sessions: All with lags and DCs during primetime.
Not lagging times of the day: Before 18 CET and after midnight, rest of the time unplayable.
First Lags: Not sure, around September/October 2014? Maybe before the feature patch.
Problems on other NCSoft games: I don’t play any of them but Guild Wars 2, but I play several online games (CS:GO, UT2k4, TF2, DayZ and so on) and I don’t have a single problem with lag, in fact my pings are always around 25-30ms.

As you can see on the posted picture, the cap on dailies and monthlies is still splitted. Is there a reason beyond that? Because, by quoting your article (https://www.guildwars2.com/en/news/introducing-the-new-daily-achievement-system/): “Finally, in a release coming early next year, we will merge the existing daily and monthly achievement point caps into one pool”.

I supposed (wrong as we can see) that as early next year you ment this patch. When this change will happen?

If you’re a mini collector, you should give up on your whole collection after this, ‘cause I don’t think we’ll hear something about this mini ’till the next halloween.

I liked the uber rare drop rate. Having super rare things adds an interesting dynamic to an otherwise standard event. I hope to see more like it in the future, and like with GW, Mini pets are a pretty good venue.

Account Bound minis are the most awful idea they could bring into this game.
