WvW is still fun.
Haven’t tried dungeons since they were nerfed (unnerfed in the meantime?)
Raids don’t interest me in the least.
HoT content was meh.

You had me at ArenaNet and artistic consistency.
Before you start fixing skill icons, maybe look at the years of clipping issues backlog?
Still best bros, though, looking forward to Elona!

2016 is the year where we’ll be focusing on the parts of Guild Wars 2 that have been most successful and giving our full attention to those areas by adding depth to them.
So you’re bringing back Dungeons and SAB?
But here’s my Wammo, so heal me maybe?
Just trying to think like ArenaNet here.
They don’t want people to swap weapons every 5 seconds, since they probably think it’s a pretty boring class mechanic (I agree to some extent). Instead, they allow us to bring 3 weapon sets, which we sort of camp for a longer time (well, at least 10 seconds), depending on the situation.
Then people could bring:
A. Greatsword or Hammer (main set)
B. Sword + Warhorn or Mace + Shield (support set)
C. Rifle or Longbow (ranged set)
It would be fun, as long as we can switch sets A->B, A->C, B->A, B->C, C->A and C->B at will.

Spoons.
But here’s my Wammo, so heal me maybe?
But make them actual stances.
So only one stance can be active at a time, lower the cd and effect by a lot.
For example :
Endure pain : reduce incoming direct damage by 20%.
Berserker stance : reduce incoming condition duration by 20% and generates 2 adrenaline/3s
Balanced stance : pulse stability and swiftness.Stances lasts forever and you need something like a 10s cd to switch.
Endure Pain needs to remain an anti-gank damage negation skill. Easiest way to do this, would be to simply turn it into a Physical instead, along with Mending.
The stances we’d have available would be Frenzy (attack speed increase), Berserker (generate adrenaline), Balanced (pulse stability).
But here’s my Wammo, so heal me maybe?
Mmmmh… Interesting, reasonable idea that would increase sustain and add build variety.
Yup, chances of this making it in the game are effectively zero.

You’ll have it by Christmas.
Not sure what year, though.

Don’t count on it.
Been asking for years to turn off the Signet of Rage fart bubbles with zero response.
But here’s my Wammo, so heal me maybe?
Sounds good.
Combine this with Mending becoming a Physical skill and conditions removed going back up to 3 (instead of 2), and Warriors might get the kind of sustain they’ve been asking for for years.
But here’s my Wammo, so heal me maybe?
Just give us full gold rewards for 1 randomly picked dungeon path every day, add that to the daily achievement list.
I stopped playing PvE since the reward nerf, where I used to run 1 or 2 paths a day, tops (what a crime).
But here’s my Wammo, so heal me maybe?
Mending seriously needs to be looked at. It needs to be a Physical skill and remove 3 conditions again. And the heal still needs to be slightly better, or at least the cast time lowered.
Right now it’s just a joke skill to laugh at Guild Wars 1 Wammos. Much of the Warrior profession appears to be a joke to Anet…
But here’s my Wammo, so heal me maybe?
Already tried it.
Now all you need is Vigorous Shouts, then spam To the Limit, For Great Justice, Shake it Off, and either On My Mark or Fear Me. Too bad we don’t have an Elite shout, but just go Berserker (for Dead or Alive) with Headbutt.
Soldier/Trooper runes, of course (or whatever they’re called nowadays, the ones that remove a condition on Shout), weapons Mace/Shield + Sword/Warhorn.
You’ll end up with something like this:
http://gw2skills.net/editor/?vJAQRBJdxG2JPHQlHYnHgrHARpYpKwSeBdtUASBoBEAePtt2ZLA-TpQWAAeZAY/BA
You will die of old age before mobs die in PvE.
You will die in PvP (because Healing Power scales horribly against the insane amount of damage that will be flung in your face while you hit the enemy like soggy cardboard).

Bump (needs to stay on the front page till we get a dev to give some feedback on the future of the class).

Bump. This needs to stay up, maybe one day Anet will read it !
Oh, don’t worry, they’ve read it.
They just have no idea how to meaningfully address our complaints, which is why they choose to remain silent.
Even in the very best case, if they were to actually make Fast Hands (and Warrior’s Sprint) baseline, it would require development time, testing time, not to mention replacing these traits in the Discipline spec with new traits, requiring even more time. We won’t see or hear anything for another month or two. Maybe six.
In the meantime, let’s keep bumping (and playing Revenant).
But here’s my Wammo, so heal me maybe?
My “between two worlds” Warrior: Norn with Human styling.
But here’s my Wammo, so heal me maybe?
If they had buffed base Warrior any further (already the most popular class in-game), it would actually hurt their sales of HoT. Now people feel the need to roll a Revenant or Reaper, which both require HoT.
Berserker requires HoT, too, of course, but it doesn’t require rerolling. And through rerolling, there is a high percentage of chance that you will spend money in the cash shop on new armor, weapons, services, whatever.
Q.E.D.
So until Anet digs the grave and explicitly tells us we are getting buried next to dungeons I’m holding out hope.
That is exactly what’s happening here.
A dev is always free to post here and tell me that I’m wrong.
But here’s my Wammo, so heal me maybe?
Took me 7 hours of trying back in 2012 before I made it. I have to admit it does remain one of my proudest accomplishments in this game, and I’m pretty bad with jumping puzzles in general. Succeeding gave me a feeling similar to beating Ornstein and Smough in Dark Souls.
My condolences, OP.

The corrupted apple falls far from the pale tree.
6/10
But here’s my Wammo, so heal me maybe?
The guy in charge of Warrior took one look at this forum and thought: kitten that!
Then the rest of Anet looked at the rest of the forum and the Elite spec gating mess they’ve created and thought: kitten ALL that!
Seriously, they’re probably all taking a holiday right now to recover from pre-release crunch time. Expect a minor balance update in about 2 months to reduce Torch skill recharge by 3/4 second or some other nonsense.
But here’s my Wammo, so heal me maybe?
(edited by Lagg.3960)
Agreed. Tactics is the supporty line—they ought to just switch the banner regen trait from Discipline with Burning Arrows.
+1
I don’t understand why it left Tactics in the first place.
But here’s my Wammo, so heal me maybe?
Honestly, even if they made FH baseline, I’m not sure I would bother with Zerker, especially now that we need to jump through so many hoops to unlock it.
It would still be a good thing for build diversity, though.
But here’s my Wammo, so heal me maybe?
This is what giving up looks like.
Meh, I’m happy enough with my vanilla Warrior to play through the new content.
But here’s my Wammo, so heal me maybe?
They could at the very least grace us with a response on why FH hasn’t been made baseline, something that was almost unanimously requested in order to make the elite spec viable.
Kitten.

You could always file a complaint with your credit card company. Nothing will come of it, though.
Best to just file this under “lack of foresight” and never purchase anymore “lifetime subscriptions” to anything. Case in point: Hellgate London.
But here’s my Wammo, so heal me maybe?
Just make sure the game isn’t a buggy mess at release, you only get once chance to make a first impression. If need be, there can always be an extra Beta Weekend for people who have taken time off from work.
That said, don’t worry (or if you’re a bit more of a cynic, do worry), as I don’t think they will delay their release date.
But here’s my Wammo, so heal me maybe?
+1
That said, Beta weekends might as well have been called Demo weekends. There’s no way they’ll still act upon any feedback beyond “skill x is not properly activating” or “boon y is not correctly applied”. Mechanics of the Elite spec have been carved in stone a long time ago and they’re quite frankly underwhelming for the Warrior.
But hey, at least now I know I need not even bother switching out my build on my actual char when the expansion hits.
But here’s my Wammo, so heal me maybe?
Right now Primal Burst just feels like your regular Burst “on fire”. About as boring as Torch is… If they really wanted to make Primal Burst skills interesting, they should do something that the weapon in question normally doesn’t have access to.
Greatsword would do a CC, Rifle an AoE attack, Mace a ranged attack, Longbow a melee / short range attack that becomes stronger as enemies get closer. You get the idea.
You should also still have access to your regular Burst (F1) during Berserker Mode, as well as the Primal Burst (F2 a second time).
But here’s my Wammo, so heal me maybe?
Pretty much the same build I used during beta with GS + S/WH, except I took Strength instead of Discipline (no FH, I know). Never did see the point of using Torch.
That said, I’m still not convinced I’ll be playing Berserker once HoT is released.
But here’s my Wammo, so heal me maybe?
Now that I’ve played it over the weekend (PvE only), all I can say is that I find it hard dropping Defense for it. No way I’m dropping either Strength or Tactics, those two synergise too well together.
I was using Savage Instinct as a replacement for Cleansing Ire, Dead or Alive as a replacement for Defy Pain and dropped Dolyak Signet for Outrage, using Eternal Champion for stability.
On the whole, I had a good DPS boost but a drop in sustain, mostly through losing Dogged March and Adrenal Health. Not having a true “anti-gank” like Defy Pain when out of Berserk Mode also put me on my kitten a few times. Definitely a L2P issue, though. It’s high(er) risk, high(er) reward, and I’m afraid I may be too casual for it.
When I switched back to my normal Defense build, things were no longer dying as fast (although still much faster than in BWE2) and I felt pretty much untouchable. Also not interested at all in using Torch, so overall not worth making the switch.
But here’s my Wammo, so heal me maybe?
I’ve said this before, purely from a lore perspective, there is nothing that really makes the Warrior the so-called “weapon master” he’s supposed to be.
Yes, we may have more options than other classes. Big deal, you still wield two weapon sets, all the rest is in your inventory at best. It would make sense to allow us to either have three active weapon sets to switch between (impossible to balance at this point) or just allow us to switch faster between two sets (ding ding ding!) to set us apart from other classes in baseline.
For the record, I mostly play PS in PvE and don’t spec Discipline. I still miss not having Fast Hands in certain situations, even though I couldn’t care less about the rest of that line.

What happened to the theme music since the last beta?
It sounds like half the instruments are missing and the arrangement is much less epic. Whatever it is you changed, please change it back, this sounds horrible.

Item: Council Guard Legguards
Race: Human
Profession: Warrior
Gender: Male
Bug details: Part of the legguards’ tabard are hidden underneath the belt, and are incorrectly showing the exposed belt and shadow layer on male Human characters. They are displayed correctly on male Norn characters.
Found out about this bug while creating a human equivalent of my Norn Warrior in beta and using the wardrobe to reskin his armor.
I have not verified if the bug is present with any other races or genders.

I have it too, on my Guardian.
But here’s my Wammo, so heal me maybe?
From a lore perspective, it makes perfect sense to have Fast Hands baseline. Honestly, what else is still setting the Warrior apart from other professions as the “masters of weaponry”? It’s all quantity over quality…
I once suggested to allow Warriors to have a third weapon slot, but I also realised that it wouldn’t really solve anything, and completely unbalance the profession.
So, again: down with Discipline requirement! Yes for baseline FH!
But here’s my Wammo, so heal me maybe?
Wait, am I missing something here?
It seems like you can stun break every 10 seconds by switching stances. That’s actually an insane amount of stun break.

BTW, I lost touch with the person I was partied up with.

The game is very different now from how it was before.
Generally speaking, everyone is more powerful (meaning no one really is). There is, however, much less build diversity.
Overall I’m happy, though I perfectly understand why many people are not.

Please, please, please bring back Warhorn condition conversion (instead of removal) with Quick Breathing.
If you do, the Mending nerf and semi-obligatory traiting of Cleansing Ire will be all but undone.
Come on, you know you want to help out an old Wammo who’s been with you since 2005.
Thanks in advance (loving the rest of the update so far),

They were about to change it from 3 conditions to 12 conditions (same as Signet of Stamina) and their finger slipped right before hitting the 1 key.
That’s it, right?
That might actually turn it into a heal that sees some use and free us from having to trait Cleansing Ire.
Come on, Anet, fix this. Pretty please.

It went down from removing 3 condis to 2?
Why would anyone still pick this over HS now? What was the reasoning behind this nerf?
Everyone was expecting Mending to get some kind of buff.
But here’s my Wammo, so heal me maybe?
The new skills are only “technically” shouts. That is, they are normal skills which got the shout tag assigned to them, but still behave like normal skills in cast time etc.
Yes, this is sloppy development.
