I just realized that the amount of gold that is available for me at TP doesn’t match the amount for all the items that had been sold in the last 12 hours.

I specifically remember posting 2 exquisite beryl jewels, 2 superior runes of the pack, and a Rodgort’s Flame yesterday at around 9:30 PM PST time. I stopped playing at around 10 PM.

Now, according to the Trading Post history, I’ve sold all of these items as well as 11 other rares in the last 12 hours. It’s 6:00PM PST now, so that means that all of these items where sold while I was sleeping and at work today.

However, I only have 55 gold available in my TP when it should’ve been way more than that. Rodgort alone sold for 58 gold.

I don’t share my account with anyone and even if my account was somehow hacked or if I sleepwalked during the night (lol) and played gw2 during the night, it doesn’t explain the fact that there is only 55 gold available in my TP.

If the items sold history is incorrect and only Rodgort alone sold for 58 gold, there should be at least 58 gold in my TP, right? Either that or a lot less since 11 rares and 4 exotics do not add up to 55 gold.

There should be specific areas or instances in each major city for that. I can understand how it’s not good to implement dueling outside of cities, but inside… of course.
Or at least a small PvP Map with just an arena and maxed out for 2 players so nobody else can join.

I was thinking maybe you could just request a duel to someone and if he accepts, then you can begin fighting for a limited amount of time. I suppose making a specific map in PvE where this is enabled is also a good idea. This would prevent any sort of distraction from people just going around their business in the major cities or open world.

I think it was either the first or second guildwars2guru state of the game where the developer, talking with some players from spvp teams, said that dueling was on their priority list. While he said that it wouldn’t be implemented in the upcoming major spvp patch, he seemed to imply that it was one of the priorities to come soon after that. Whether dueling will be for spvp only or not, I don’t know.

I really hope its for PvE. Is there anyone that could confirm this? Because if its true, that’s enough of a reason for me to start playing again and work on more characters and legendary gear!

I really like everything about the game, but in the end I feel that this game needs to implement a dueling system in order to help fill the gap for endgame content.
Like many, I am a competitive gamer, and I have lost my spark for GW2. I’ve tried dueling in WvW for a while now, and although it works sometimes, 8 out of 10 times I will just get killed by a bunch of people ganging up on me, which is terribly annoying. There are roamers out there looking for 1v1s, but they are beginning to be very scarce. I’ve talked to a lot of these players and they have all shared the same feeling of frustration over the game. Also, in order to duel a friend, you have to switching servers weekly, which can be detrimental for various reasons (gems, wvw, guild).

And I know not everyone likes dueling and like WvW the way it is, but adding a separate system for duels wouldn’t hurt anyone—it would only make the game even more fun. Also, sPvP is not the answer. It’s fine for a balanced team competition, but it isn’t fun to be able to create a character right on the spot and go duel. The story progression, item selection, aesthetic customization, and the grind from all this is a must for an RPG.

I’ve encountered a ranger once that was teleporting in circles around me while spamming his short bow even though I had perma swiftness. He was pretty bad though; he eventually died to guardian staff attacks. I thought he was just a noob abusing lag… maybe not!

it is very difficult to actually land the 3rd hit against people with hammer #1, and if it did hit you probably took 1 or 2 extra hits because of it. the area protection seems good but its not-the area of effect is too small and in an actual fight the enemy will constantly be moving.
hammer #2 does good single hit damage, but gs #2 does more overall damage. hammer #2 has shorter cooldown but it can also be dodged/blocked/blinded for complete damage mitigation. gs#2 also combos well with gs #5.
gs #3 leap has superior mobility and damage, while hammer #3 immobilize can easily be dodged without the need to actually dodge if the enemy is not at melee range.
gs #4 does tons of damage vs melee. hammer #4 is a great knock-back but the enemy will be up by the time you run up to him.
gs #5 and hammer #5 are both great CC, but gs #5 has better range and actually does damage.

having said that, hammer is better in certain situations. one example is retaliation guardian vs any other guardian. a perma retaliation/protection guardian using a hammer will win vs any guardian that is using a greatsword. reasons being: hammer #1, #3, and #5 are easier to hit since its a melee battle. gs#2 is suicide against retaliation-you’ll be doing basically the same damage right back at yourself (more to yourself if enemy has protection up). gs#4 retaliation is not as effective vs hammer since its attacks are single hit bursts.

like someone already mentioned, Hammer’s 1 attack’s 3rd hit is actually a range attack. And I like how you tend to mention dodging/missing with hammer skills, arent most attacks can be dodged if you time it correctly or have endurance to do it (GS attacks included)? I just think it really comes down to preference and how much you have play with certain types of weapons. Once you know the shortcomings (or advantages), you work and adapt to a different way of offense or defense.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but from my experience hammer 1’s 3rd attack isn’t really ranged. It simply has a range of 180 instead of 130. Although once the animation finishes it will put down the symbol regardless, the attack itself will do zero damage (only the symbol’s first pulse will hit if the enemy was within it).

And yes, obviously all attacks can be dodged. But what I was saying is that hammer skills are easier to dodge or get away from, not to mention that hammer 2, 3, and 4 take twice as long to animate.

So I faced a ranger the other day while roaming in WvW, and he lured me into an underwater fight. After I put him in drowning state, he started to rapidly heal his hp back to rally even though I was constantly hitting him. He even had 3 kraits around slashing at him.

Also, during the entire fight, he would constantly go invisible whenever in trouble and so that the bunched-up kraits would gang up on me.

I would like to know how he did any of this. I did ask around people in-game, but I have yet to find an answer. Maybe someone here knows?

Every case is unique so it really depends. Earliest I’ve seen is 12 hours. And if his account was terminated for botting or game tampering, they will review it. If it was for fraud, then he will have to buy a new game if he wants to keep playing. That’s what I’ve seen so far.

Never noticed this. Have you checked your control options just in case?

Keep in mind you can only have a certain amount of mails (I heard its 10). After that, any new mail won’t reach the recipient. If he did still have room when you sent it, then that’s unfortunate..

The soundbites with boons are pretty okay. I mostly hear “Armored up!”, and “Come on, hit me!” which are better than “Feedback-loop initiated.”
It’s just his attitude. He’s trying to hard to be a good boy and protect queen and country, despite the fact that the queen has a million guards.
Questgivers (in the personal story) are like: “Hey, we need someone who can do this outrageously difficult and life-threatening thing.” And then my characters goes: “Oh, no problem. I’ll do it.”
It’s like he wants to die a senseless death. At least ask what the reward will be.

I read from one of Anet that their banning system is not automated. I also read from some of the replies people got that accounts that have been TERMINATED are reviewed and concluded beyond a shadow of a doubt that they did in fact violate the terms of use.

This seems to mean that they actually have a way of checking and monitoring such “offensive” activities in someway. If this is true, I wonder what in the world did I do to make them think I’m a bot!?

Can you link the post where an ANET rep said this? I dont beleive it sorry, People honest people are having their accounts terminated in droves. It’s automated. I can guarantee the flagging is automated. and if a non player is looking at that flag and sees one of us sitting at say splintered coast for 8 hours, god they could be banning us just for that. Their ignorance of how to lvl fast in this game. =(

I got a reply today which asked me for the info. They proceeded to create my support account for me! ^^

No response yet regarding my terminated account though.. I just hope I can get it back before the new events coming up!

I can’t access my “support account” because it may have been disabled. My account was wrongfully terminated yesterday and I did submit a ticket.

I wanted to update it because I didn’t know what date I had purchased my game, but after some digging up statements I finally found it: 7/29 for 79.99 CHARGE.NCSOFT.COM!

Also, I wrote Leftstanding as my account name instead of my email address… It’s new to me that emails are the new account names these days. It wasn’t like this back in the days.

Is there anyway to update my ticket? I really don’t want to delay it by sending a new ticket unless the mistakes I’ve written need to be corrected.

Are you guys really terminating accounts without even a warning for people going afk? How long is TOO long? I really want to have a firm grasp of what an “extended unattended play” is in case I get my account back.

The Asura’s specifically. As you know, when you adjust its iris size to become larger, the right eye will have what it seems a low shading quality (making it look dull while the other eye is shiny).

Does anyone know if this will ever be fixed? I’ve heard there are similar iris glitches for other races as well. Have any of them been fixed yet?

I ask because this will determine how I should make my character. I have been holding off playing an asura since release because of this, and I would really like to start my now third character going already.

I just wanna start by saying that this is one of the best games I’ve ever played! Ty ArenaNet I’m a new fan <3!

Now back on topic.. I’m only dreaming here but it would be really cool to have some sort of replay system, like in StarCraft, where you can save your own perspective view of the match.

I could just run fraps, but if I wasn’t, it would be nice if the option was there so that if I happen to play a really good match I can save it on the spot.

What do you guys think?
