Hey, I’m fine with donger slider(but it doesn’t slide too much so I don’t see the whole point). Why would this be closed. Physics is a natural phenomenon. Why would you not want the game to be as realistic as possible. :S

Considering that some of the female outfits would likely get you arrested (or at least dead of exposure) in much of the US, I think it’s about time the guys got the same treatment. I mean, look at the starting female light armor, and then find me ANYTHING like that in light armor for males. And it’s almost impossible for a male in medium armor to show any skin/fur/bark at all.

Honestly, I’m beginning to think that someone at ANet is actually afraid of the idea.

Yeah, it’d be a desktop program that uses a shared memory-mapped file which uses the Mumble link data format.

There’s really only two fields in that format that we can put data into; each of them are only 256 bytes long. One of them, “context”, is used to determine which players should hear which other players (so we can’t change it). The other, “identity”, is documented as “shouldn’t change more than a few times per second if at all during a game”. So there isn’t really any place we can put real-time data without breaking existing usages of that API :(

It might be a ‘fluff event’ but the main point of the post was that dev time was wasted on Gem/RNG feature which will make a reappearance in all future patches.

I am extremely disappointed in ANet team this patch and here’s why:
Me and a lot of other player have been waiting patiently for a new patch for quiet a while. I thought that ANet was working on something really special behind the scenes on new content and even maybe an expansion since it was taking so long. Instead I log in and find two new features in this patch:
a) Gem Exchange had been changed to fluctuate at a per min interval and we were only given the option to exchange gold/gems in a specified amount of values.
I am personally ok with this change as opposed to many other people since this doesn’t change much for me. I buy gem store items by buying gems and ingame items by earning gold ingame. However, What disappoints me is that the developers were working on unexpected content which doesn’t really add something solid into the game. This patch isn’t supposed to be a feature patch yet we got this feature which does absolutely nothing other than limit the players capabilities for no apparent reason. This change may be reverted but what can’t be reverted is the time the developers spent on this which might have been used on something special.
b) A new gambling system has been introduced. There is a new skritt vendor which takes wrappers from the cash shop(or RNG drops) and after two weeks the item bidded upon is randomly distributed in limited amount to a few people. I’m not going to lie here. I really want the ghastly grinning shield. But seeing that theres only a hundred available puts the equation of me getting them out because I always lose RNG…. always. In addition, this promotes low population in the game because, the lower the population the more the percentage of people who get these rewards. This RNG feature was another feature introduced in a content patch and more of the developers time was wasted in something so useless which didn’t add anything solid to guild wars 2. This feature will be used in future patches and everyone will still hate it and the bad feelings about this game whenever people see something like this will only increase.

In addition to the new features mentioned we saw some new content in this patch:
Its good to see additional new content in the patch. I like the new lich and count costumes. However, the cat and the chinese witch costumes are just retextures of previous content and that’s almost fine but I have noticed that some of the new content in the recent past has not been up to the mark with the old past content. Take hairstyles for instance. All the initial hairstyles have hair physics where the hair is long but many of the new ones don’t. These are small things but its the small things that add up to make a large impact.

In conclusion, I’d like to say that it is preferable if development is done more on the expected content and less on unexpected content. There are a lot of expectations by the players on the content and quality of what we get and these expectations are there only because GW2 does come up to a certain standard. I feel that the current patch does not meet the standard of the previous releases considering the time that it was given.
This is, of course, only my opinion.

I agree. It would become rather lame and predictable if ArenaNet have us routinely and successfully knocking off an elder dragon one after another each season until they’re all gone.

I believe is is best to kill the dragon and move towards new areas in the story. Its been a year already and dragging the dragons to an additional year will make the plot feel stale. We had Zaitan and then another dragon for 2 years?
Its best for LS 3 to focus on the human Gods. Preferably Balthazar or Dwayna. If Anet keeps running away scared from the Gods then GW2 will never show its full potential.

There have been some changes which have made obtaining legendaries today harder to get compared to before:
-Karma nerfed
-Drops nerfed
-Gift of Battle requires extra effort
-Prices of many items including precursor have more than tripled

Many people are walking around in easymode legendaries,So in my opinion adding new legendaries is a good idea.

I am really surprised they haven’t made any adjustments to the “followers” list yet. The other forums I’ve seen discussing it have been closed.

I enjoy playing GW1 & GW2 alone or with 3-5 friends of mine that may be online. Every once in a while I’ll meet another player I enjoy chatting with and add them to friends.

What I can’t stand is being in a dungeon party then every day for the next 3 weeks getting a message “want to do ac? how about coe?”. Then there is the 5x /day minimum “how can i get ap!?”. And finally the “why don’t you respond to me?” messages from people I don’t even know.

I am sorry but why is there a “stalker list” in this game since launch and no one thought it was a bad idea? How can it be a good idea? If someone wants to “friend me” send me a message and ask my permission please to allow them to see/talk/whisper me. Personally I would like it if no one could whisper me unless they were in my party or same zone instance and no one should ever be able to see where I am, what I am doing, or any other statistics about me unless I allow it.

Earlier this year I quit playing for 3 months primarily because I’ve been burnt out not knowing what direction this game is heading but also because I was tired of having to login to a game where people were constantly bugging/trying to compete with me if I was not “offline” at which point my friends could not message me. Now I’ve recently started playing again and it is starting all over.

I don’t mind helping people. If you post in map chat you need something I’ll come find you if I’m free and no one else has addressed your issue. If someone has something legitimate you want to ask like “that armor is cool where did you get it?” I’ll answer, but I don’t want people messaging me, competing with me, or thinking that I have time to spend with them on a daily basis for whatever. Sorry but I enjoy playing alone, GW2 is nothing more than an extension of GW1 to me – not an MMO for socialization. If you are dying to a troll and a ranger runs by and saves your life just /wave – do not add to friends and ask for dungeons later please.

Please consider making adjustments to this system to allow for more privacy for your players. I’d begun adding all “followers” to the block list but that not only feels rude but there is/was a cap on the number of players I could block?! Something as simple as a “request to become a follower” or the ability to remove people from the followers list would be amazing….

I’ve never had that problem. Several people have added me but none really chats with me :/

I always find these conversions funny. A female barbarian who looked like conan would have practically no boobs and look a lot like him. Features would be more gaunt. The training would eat the vast majority of fat in the breast. See actual female body builders. A lot of them only wear the slightest mention of a top to cover up nipples.

What people tend to think of is a woman who skirts the line between full blown muscle hulk and woman. That is not Conan or a barbarian.

That being said I would love it if my female chars could look like actual female bodybuilder/ strength trainers. screw clothes.

That body type is rather extreme, though. The “average warrior” would look muscly, but not Arnold-Schwarzenegger-as-Mr-Universe muscly, simply because they wouldn’t have the time to train for this body type. Yes, we have the norn, who look similar, but they are the exception in Tyria. And only the dudes, come to think of it…
Point is, real-life bodybuilders are not representative of the body type of fantasy warriors, let alone real historical warriors. There would be boobs, in some shape and form. It would just so happen that the male barbarian could appear to have them, too. Precisely because of the msucle tissue located there, and depending on the kind of training and the specific person, manboobs would form. So technically, all classic fantasy barbarians are running around with their boobs exposed. Conan included. So give him a bikini top, he’s not decent^^

No, -1. The whole “skin on a lady is demeaning, skin on a male is heroic” argument is nonsense. Skin is skin. If anything skin on a male is more demeaning, since real life male clothing typically covers more skin than female clothing, so it is even more of an exaggeration. You can argue that you want more female outfits that are less sexy, personally I’d like to see more skirts that are above the knee but below the starter light skirt, but don’t try to make it out to be some sort of double standard thing.

I think you are mistaken. We have released content and features in the last two years on a fairly regular basis. Just because the content and/or features were things that you personally did not particularly care for doesn’t mean we didn’t release anything.

Please don’t trivialize the efforts of our design and development staff down to “nothing” because you didn’t like it. It’s fine to comment that you didn’t care for what was released, but don’t pretend like we’ve done nothing here for the past two years.

I had a similar problem once. Here is how I resolved it.

press the windows key and search:
cmd
right click command prompt and select ‘run as administrator’
type:

Start GW2

I always thought my kasmeer staff was better than legend. 75% of the ingame population isn’t using it. It has a feather trail which sets it apart from other trails like footprints and that glowy thing.

I used to play a game previously with the exact situation. A month in with mounts and everyone loved them. Even the most hard qq’ers were sporting them.
We’ve had speed boosts for years now. If mounts are so bad how come speed boosts aren’t.
