Double click does not work

Since previous patch I have experienced annoying bug. I do not know if it is because of double click does not work or server does not respond, but I have these problems:

When I am in logging window, it always worked that I double click on the character I want to play and it choses the character and starts the game. Now I can click 10 minutes in a row and nothing happens. I can hear the click sound but nothing happens. I just have to click on “play”.

Next problem are items in inventory. I could click on item a whole day and it just won’t use. I have to right click on the item and chose “use”. So whenever I want to use potion or salvage item, I have to right click and use because double click simple does not work.

The third problem is opening windows like inventory, auction, wvw or pvp window… well, all windows. I have to push “I” 10 times to open inventory and all other windows.

The last problem I have experienced since the patch is skill using. When I want to use skill, I have to push the button 3 or more times or it just won’t use. The same issue is with weapon swaping… So when I want to use Whirlwind Attack, I have to push “3” 6 times just to use this skill.

Is anyone else experiencing the same problems or is it just me? Does anyone have any clue what to do? Is it even bug? It is really annoying to play this game like this. For example when I am in fight and I want to just whisp to my friend “hey, how are you?” I have to: push “enter” 4-8 times, write “hey…” (writing is ok) but I have to dodge meanwhile so I have to push “Esc” 4-8 times, push 3 to whirlwind 6 times, push again “enter” 4 times and finish the message…

The point was, that this new reward system didn’t bring any new skins at all. We could get all the skins that are in this reward system even before the patch. Well, there is one backpack, ok, but what else? Can you tell me about one skin that we were not able to get in the pre patch reward system? Just one? I don’t really know about any new skins. So we still got the same, but it takes soooo much longer to get the skins. My point was that the wardrobe would be enough. There was no reason for this reward system, which brings nothing new.

Yes… I only wait 10 minutes for team and 25 min for solo tournaments in average…

I really don’t know how you manage to do that. No matter what time I queue, the average waiting time is 45 seconds.

Lucky you…. My team arena queue is 5-10 min. (Europe server, prime time). I wasn’t able to start solo arena yet (after patch), because I stop queue after 15 mins. I dont speak for majority, but for me it isn’t funn at all to spend 60% of time waiting for a game…

Matchmaking – now even more broken
Rewards – Its worth nothing! Only skill points and green items…
Population – higher, but full of PvE players
Megaserver – ok, nice… I see a lot of people in hotm, but when I log into the game and I see there are 4 thieves in my team, I can’t relog, because with no ssd harddrive it takes 5 minutes just to relog!
New gamemode – team deathmatch only playable with custom arenas
Reranking – super annoying – funny when you realize how many hours have you wasted to get your rank…

For me personaly there is only one thing that is good and it is the wardrobe. But the rest… It should stay the way it used to be… free/paid tournaments ftw…

I am on EU server and I do really wait for matches this long. And it is really annoying, when you wait 10 minutes for tournament and than you get some ranks 20 who don’t have a clue what to do and you are against 70+…

And to reward system… seriously… tell me one reason why is it better than the previous one. Just one good reason please.

Maybe you did not play tournaments, but there were silvers for win and even for loosing the game. The point is that there was supposed to be a new reward system with amezing rewards… and what do we have now? Before we had pvp skins at least, what do we have now? Chests with 2 green items? Amazing! t1 crafting materials? AMAZING! And after 40 wins you even get 2 t6 materials! AMAZING! Personaly, I don’t really think that such rewards are worth something…

Seriously… It was much better before the patch. What did you achive by this super changes? You lured tons of pve players to spvp, so the games are absolutely lame. Half of the people don’t have a clue what to do. The rewards? Seriously, it was much better when we got gold… Do you really think that it is motivating to play for rewards that have absolutely no value? And the ranks? Every pve noob will farm ranks, because it is so easy now! People who spent tousends hours in spvp must really hate you for what you did. No special titul, nothing! So player who has spent 4 000 hours in spvp has now the same rank as someone who spend 200 hours there now. So what did you achive? I would really like to know what was this patch good for… And you even hided ranks at the end of the game so we dont see how bad the matchmaking is now? I was playing with 3 ranks <30 versus 5 legendary champions => amazing… Really Anet, instead of make me play spvp, you just make me hate spvp. That is my opinion

I would just like to ask if anyone has read something about Eternity being reworked. I would like to know if there is a possibility that you will be able to choose colours in the future and it won’t be affected by day and night. I usually do things that are in day and I see the sunrise skin all the time. But it simply doesn’t go very well with the dark footprints etc… So if anyone read something about reworking Eternity, please respond

Please add button: “I allow to merge my party” or something.

And please remove the kicking from dungeon when the “leader” is kicked or reloged. What purpose does this have anyway?

Well, the TA P3 was quite hard to finish even for good guilds. The end boss was hard to kill with all the spiders around. I think that this was one of the reasons why they removed this path and changed it for aetherblades.

I think that the change in Kessex was quite good. The problem is that people didn’t have any reason to spend their time in Kessex before the patch and they don’t have any reason to stay in Kessex even after this change. We all saw the Kessex change, but why should we stay there?

There are orichalcum and ancient wood nodes in the orr so players have reason to stay there even if it is so annoying to run through all the undeads. If the orr started to recultivate and the nodes would stay, players would still run the nodes and they could help recultivate the orr on their way. Of course it has to be rewarding.

It has been more than a year since we killed Zhaitan. The cause of undead is dead and the orr has not changed since than yet. I think that it would be nice if the undeads started to vanish and the orr started to raise its glory. More green, restoring the temples etc. would be really amazing and I think that people would enjoy it.

I know that most people don’t really care about this leaderboard, but since it is already in the game… do you think that it would be nice if there were two categories?

I think that leaderboard based on “no life” attitude like “I have to do every daily!” does not motivate people who can’t actually play 2 hours per every day…

I don’t think that it would be hard to add this category, because it is already splitted in the game anyway.

Imagine a situation where you are at the final boss and you are in 2 people. If you make a LFG advertisement that you are looking for more people to finish the boss and a party with more than 2 members “joins” you, YOU are MERGED with this party and you are MOVED to the party, so all your progres is lost. And even more interesting thing is, that if a 4-member party joins you, it even kicks your member from your party. I dont really think that merging parties should be possible. At least not without “I agree with merging” button…

I have played all games. I did not leave a single one game and I get dishonorable? I relogged 2 times during the game, but I finished all the games I played. Can you tell me, what did I get the dishonorable for? If it is not allowed to relog during the game, why do you make it possible? Now I have to wait 16 hours just because I relogged during 2 games. Especially since nobody reported me at all, because all my party members knew that I will relog…

It is really annoying especially when we are facing stronger team over and over again… Last 14 days, we play everyday like 6-8 game with the same teams… I know that its because there is noone else to play with, but seriously… why do we have to face team which is obviously stronger over and over again? It is really DEMOTIVATING! Can we get some teams that are equaly stong? This is really getting annoying… We get everyday 6-8 loses just because we face the same team again and again…

4. Player is raging because the teams are absolutely unbalanced and it would be just a waste of time, so is akitteng or turning off the game.
Replacing member is easy, I already told the way in all 1. 2. and 3. the problem is that it’s usually either too late or it won’t help anyway because the teams are too unbalanced. So the cause of this problem is unbalancing. I don’t really know how the matchmaking works, but in my opinion it takes 5 people, make average rating, take another 5 people, make average rating and take 2 teams which has close rating to each other. In my opinion there is a problem in personal pvp rank. Since the matchmaking (in my opinion) doesn’t work and is only about luck for team there are ranks 10, 5, 1 but 50, 55, 60 with the same matchmaking rating. In my opinion there is a simple way to fix this. You won’t make 2 separate team, but you take 10 people and split them under 2 conditions. First condition is to make both teams with same matchmaking and the second condition is to make both teams with same personal pvp rank. I personally think that rank 60 really doesn’t play like rank 10. It’s not always, but usually the players have to play a lot to achieve rank 40+ and ranks >40 simply don’t play so much. This really makes team unbalanced and players are demotivated to play.

I know that it should be at the beginning, but nobody would read it if I’d started with this.

I personally love guild wars. I played gw1 for more than 7 years and I play gw2 since beta. I was 20 in EU achievement leaderboard and top 200 when we still played team tournaments. I really love the design for both the PvE and the PvP, but I really feel like PvP is being not important for ANet. I don’t rage just because I want to make developer team look bad, I rage because I love this game and I want to make this game more enjoyable. But I wasn’t raging in the whole topic so I will try to write this calmly too. In my opinion PvP team works very, very slowly. This way there won’t be any players to enjoy your game, because they all leave before you make something. In my opinion you should really do something about rewards and balancing matchmaking. I don’t care about one game type, it is still quite enjoyable and we can play good games, but rewards. Seriously… I takes soooo long!

Nevermind. Please keep in mind that we appreciate things you do but try to look at it with our eyes. Everything takes sooo long! You only make excuses like you need to test it first but honestly, do you make the game for players or for developers? Should it be tested by developers or should it be tested by players?

A way how to fix 4v5

Since you delete all my topics where I rage, I will try the constructive way.

I personally think that there are 4 main reasons why there are 4v5 games:

1. Player is disconnected or turned off the game in “waiting window”,
2. Player is disconnected during the game,
3. Player is akitteng,
4. Player is raging because the teams are absolutely unbalanced and it would be just a waste of time, so is akitteng or turning off the game.

Maybe there are some more reasons why we still play 4v5 games, but let’s try to find a way to fix these.

1. Player is disconnected or turned off the game in “waiting window”
Nobody knows if the player is just reloging or if he really dced/turned off the game. But there is one thing we can be sure about. When the 10 seconds window before match starts, there are only 4 players in the game, which means that the player won’t most probably play this game or will join during the match. I personally think that nobody wants to join their teammate when the score is like 400:50 so why don’t give them another player since the beginning? I personally think that there are players joining the soloQ approximately every 20 seconds (maybe more, maybe less, but it really doesn’t matter) so instead of creating new 5 member team, just put the player in the 4v5 team which is already playing. I know that it’s a little bit unfair to players who might join during the match, but he can just wait 5 more minutes for another match and since there are only random players, the player really doesn’t care who is in his team. This way the team would be in 4 for maximal 20 seconds.

There is a assumption for this to be useable. A player who joins the game wants to play and don’t care if he’s waiting 2 minutes or goes play immediately. This would be easily fixed by adding a “I don’t care about joining 4v5 team” button.

Example:
I start the game and we are obviously 4v5 in the map. We already have the starting window so we go fight in 4 for sure. In hotm there is one absolutely random guy who wants to play soloQ too. He sign in and he is immediately joining the game and we are 5v5.

2. Player is disconnected during the game
It can easily happen and it happens often. There are few main reasons why this happens:
1. Bad internet provider so the internet doesn’t work,
2. Electricity provider turned off the electricity,
3. Computer is restarted.
If we look at the reasons, for the first 2 we can assume that the player won’t be joining the game. For the third it depends on computer and it can be from 20 seconds to 10 minutes, but the player won’t be probably joining the match soon so there is 4v5 team again. I would do the same like in the 1. problem. Just give them another player. There would be a problem with reward, because both players would play the game and if they would have win, they both should get the reward. I don’t think that both of them should get the full reward because that would cause players to “fake” dc. So let’s split the reward by time they played.

Example:
We play game 6 minutes and I get d/c. I won’t be probably joining the team soon, so there is absolutely random guy in hotm who will join my team. The game would continue 5 more minutes and our team would win. The whole match was 11 minutes = 660 seconds. Reward is 150 glory and rank points. I would get 150/660*360 and the other would get 150/660*300. We both would get the chest because it’s useless anyway. Only problem would be if the match should be counted like win/lose for both of them.

3. Player is akitteng
We all see this in games. Player is akitteng all the time or half of the game. It is not hard to recognize that the player is akitteng. He is either not moving for some time or he is moving and spamming auto heal. There are two ways how to fix this.

First “player is akitteng” button in report system so if all 4 players would report the player as akitteng, the player would be immediately kicked and substituted for random guy in hotm. This assumes that people are not kittened and won’t report players for no reason but honestly, why would they do it?

Second way is to automatically kick the player after 30 seconds of non-moving. After 20 seconds there would be “you are not moving” warning window and after 10 seconds the player would be kicked and substituted. Of course there are bunkers or side point holder who don’t have to move the whole game, but what do you prefer? Games 4v5 or players moving once in 30 sec. I think that if someone wants to play a game he should watch game and play, not sitting around. The reward system would be the same like in 2.

Example
There is player obviously akitteng. We all see him so we all report him – he is immediately kicked, we get new player and we are playing 5v5 again.

I thought that this topic is about things that need to be fixed, not because you are lame and can’t play against it, but because they are op… Seriously… do you think that you are better than anyone if you write “l2p” to everything? Do you think that we can’t play against certain classes? Why should be warrior immuned to conditions while any other class is not?

Btw I agree with everything except for 8, 9, 10, 14 and 18.

Leaderboards. I would really like to write something about PvE leaderboard too, but this is sPvP section, so… Seriously? You play some games 4v5, you fall down in leaderboards, which is connected to matchmaking so you are low rating player just because you played 4v5 and now you have to believe, that you will have so much luck that you will win 20 times in a row to go up in leaderboards. Seriously… when you fall down, you play with totaly noobs, who doesn’t know anything and its only about luck who gets worse players… So it is terribly hard to be even 90% and than you have a friend, who just bought the game, doesn’t even know what his skills do, doesn’t know anything about the game and he is 200? Just because he was on the other side of 4v5? What exactly is the leaderboards for then? Shouldn’t it show skills instead of luck? And the patch with volatility… seriously… Someone who lost 5 times the day before patch went from 500 to 80%. After your patch, you have to win 50 times to be 500. GG! Why would you restart the rating? It doesn’t matter if there are some poor guys like this, you just don’t care. And why should you tell it before the patch? It really wasn’t anything important obviously…

Spectrator mode. Ok. To watch a match, you have to be in the match. So what the hell is it good for? To comment some tournaments? Is it really so hard to make observer like in gw1?

I think that tis is everything you managed to make in one year. Can you tell me, please, how did you make sPvP more exiting? Don’t you have any statistics about players in sPvP? Can’t you see that you are loosing them? Do you think that they will, one day, come back to this game? Seriously… what reason do players have to play sPvP now? If you keep doing nothing, do you think that the sPvP base will be bigger?

I would really like to know, very concrete, WHAT are you gonna do in sPvP and the main thing… WHEN! I am really tired of your excuses like you have to test everything and so… Custome arenas were in beta too. LFG tool is in beta too… We don’t need perfect system, we need something!

If you don’t have enough resources, why don’t you take some from pve? There is a living story update every 14 days. New pve items, new dungeons, everything. Why the hell isn’t anything in sPvP?

I would really like to know, how many players are playing PvP these days. HotM is dead, tournaments are dead, everything is dead. I just wonder why? What exactly have you made to make players play sPvP?

Since beta you promised that Guild Wars 2 will have amazing sPvP. Ok, we can’t have everything immediately, I can understand that… but what exactly did you make to improve sPvP and make it more exciting?

You disabled free/paid tournaments so every beginner who doesn’t even know how to play can now join solo/team tournaments and ruin the game. It doesn’t bother only the better players, but the beginners too, because they are only dieing.

You are making skill balances. There are tons of topics about tier list. You can obviously see what is overpowered and what is absolutely useless to play. What do you do about it? You just take the useless class and make it overpowered and the overpowered class useless. Can’t you really do something in between? How exactly do you test it? You have “test server” where is 20 players and you duel? Can’t you really recognize what is overpowered?

New maps. It is really nice that you made new maps, but serisously… who asked for them? Who asked for unbalanced skyhammer? Why don’t you make at least one game mode instead? You don’t have time to make new modes, but you have time to make new maps? Yes, the maps look great and in hot joins are fun, but do you really think that you should concentrate on this?

Rewards. At the beginning, there were gem rewards for tournament. You took it away and made glory/rank reward. It seemed logic, but seriously…. why glory? Do you really think that anyone rank 30+ needs glory? What for? And do you know, that it is more rewarding to play hot joins than tournaments? Do you really think that its motivating players to play tournaments? Why do you think that people should play sPvP since there is absolutely NO REWARD? Ou yeah, you are already working on new reward system, but when? Seriously when? Its been more than a year and I have very strong feeling that when we finally get the new reward system, it will be just disappointment. And I don’t really know what is taking so long.

Ranking (PvP level). Honestly… everyone who I spoke with told me to same: “I will make rank 40 and then I stop playing.” Ok, there are some who says the same for rank 50 and there are few who make even more. Why do you think they say something like that? Because it takes enormous time to change your emote? Do you really think that rank 69 should play one year longer than rank 60 and have the same emote? And the worst thing is, that it’s ONLY ABOUT TIME! It doesn’t matter how good you are, it only matters how much time did you spend in sPvP. Do you really think that this is the way it should be?

You creted custome arenas. Ok, that is good thing. I haven’t used one yet and I don’t have a reason to do it, but it sure was (for a lot of people) very good thing to do.

Matchmaking. Seriously… Do you still believe, that a player who plays 2 hours and just didn’t have time to fall down in rating, should be in the same team as a player, who played 3 000 games and played 1/2 game 4v5 so he has the same rating as the new player? And since you can’t probably do much about it, is it really so hard to make the teams even? Like 3x 40+ and 2x 10< in every team NOT 4x 10< and 1 40+ vs 5x 40+? I don’t really see any other option than write, that THIS IS UNFAIR.

Question to those on the AP leaderboards

Hello Ewon,

currently I am in top 150 EU, but I stopped doing dailies 4-5 months ago… I was top 20 EU back than.

I stopped doing every single daily achievement because it took 3 hour every day. I didn’t have time to do anything else at all. I think that it’s too high price… I am pvp player and I don’t really want to spend all my free time on doing dailies. These days I am only doing fast 5 pve dailies and pvp dailies – but it still takes too much time…

There is, in my opinion, one good solution, that would help. If the daily cap points was like 5 points per day, you wouldn’t have to farm it and spend too much time on doing it. But this doesn’t change anything about new players, who can’t obviously catch up the top players. The solution would be making a daily cap, which would start at 5 000 points for example. I would grow for 5 points every day so first day it would be 5 000, second day 5 005, third day 5 010 and so… You would have a choice to for example “Kill 40 ascalonians.” but repeatable. So player who would kill 400 ascalonians would have 10 daily points. This would continue until they reach up the daily cap 5 000 + x*5 points (x being days).
What do you think about this?

Living story Achievements take too much time

I do get the point. The point is you feel you’re entitled to get the achievement without a) spending some time in the game or b) doing anything that requires any skill whatsoever.

Both metas can be achieved with absolutely zero skill (it will take some time) or very minimal time (takes some skill).

I’m sorry that you cannot get an achievement (look that up in the dictionary?) without any effort or time invested.

Not, you don’t get the point. It’s not like we don’t want to invest the time or we are noobs who can’t achieve something hard. The only problem is that these minigames are temporary. I would do it one day… If I were bored or something… but you just have to do it now! That is the problem and the only one problem. Noone cares about how much time it takes or how much skilled you must be.

My bottom line stands. If you can’t play the game, you don’t deserve the achievements. End of story.

I took a break from GW2 and I’m missing the molten alliance endless mining pick and all the achievements related to those events. Do you see me whining on the forums about those?

No. Man up. Those achievements are not or at least should not be something you lose sleep over, or come to the forums to whine about.

Well, you obviously don’t get the point. Nobody said that we can’t play the game. The point is that we are forced to play these minigames and we can’t play anything else at all.

I am glad that you guys get the point. I personaly have over 11k achievement points so it is not like I dont like challange. But its holiday, 40°C in shadow, and you are forced to do minigame achievements. I am using the word “forced” on purpose, because I really feel like I am being forced to do it. The problem is the time limit. The example with onion is very good example of how I feel. Now tell me, is it so hard to make this achievements permanent? Or do you really force working players to do these achievements in their free time while there is sunny day with 40°C outside?

Like I said, I really apreciate what is Anet doing, but time consuming achievements are not supposed to be temporary.

And I really feel like achievements should be about skill, not about time you spent in the game.

While we are already speaking about achievements… It all loses point since there are dailies and monthly and someone who started today already lost like 6k achievement points only from daily and monthly…

Of course achievements are supposed to be difficult and time consuming,, but there is a problem that they are only temporary. You just have to do it now, because you wont have any chance to complete them later. So its absolutely all right that they take time and affort to achieve, but why do you have to do it every 14 days? I am not saying that I can not finish them all, but I dont have any time at all to enjoy the rest of the game. The living story should be about story, not about minigames. Minigames shouldnt be temporary, that is my opinion…

I would really like to know, if you are doing it on purpose or is it always just a side effect? Try to imagine, that not everyone is a pro player and not everyone wants to spend whole free time on doing achievements, which come so often now.

I will speak for me personaly, but I think that there are more people, who think the same way. There was pirates jumping puzzle. The puzzle chest wasnt really hard to achive, because there were always mesmers that used portal and ported you up, but the googles? The puzzle didnt have any checkpoint and if you fell down, you had to use waypoint and jump it all over again. It took me 12 hours to complete it.

Belchers Bluff – the norn took me 8 hour to beat. Yes, its because I am failer, but I am not alone. And you really had to do it, because it was connected to other achievements.

Sanctum sprint – I am not really a good jumper and I am not really a good player. I was trying really, really hard to win this sprint and it really happened… but it took 7 hours…

Southsun Survival: High Scorer – I played 15 games and I have 436 points in this achievements. Every game takes like 8 minutes to finish, so it took me 2 hours to do 436 points => it will take me at least 10 hours to finisht this achievements.

Ok, I know that it is because I am a very low player and I cant play much, but I dont really wanna spend all my time on doing achievements which I finaly complete and look, after 2 days there are more which take even more time!

Sanctum sprint is very good mini game. I quite enjoyed it even if I am not a good jumper. But do you have to make achievements like “win it”?

Southsun Survival is amazing minigame. Only annyoing thing is the waiting after you die. But do you really have to make 2500 points?

Do you understand my situation? I have to work and take care about family and in my whole free time I am just doing achievements and after I finaly finish them (its not like I cant finish them, but it really takes a lot of time) there are more… Yes, I know that I dont have to do it, but its one time event and I wont have a chance to do it once again.

So my point is that I am forced to do this achievements, which take all my free time, and dont have any time to really enjoy the game.

I really apreciate what you are doing and living story is amazing, but try to think about us people, who cannot play 5 hour per day please…

Its not about “I can’t do it”, its about “It takes too much time to beat one npc”, but nvm, you probably won’t get the point anyway…

And my attitude as a gamer is to enjoy the game, not to spend 8 hours on one drinking npc and wait for luck

And with your attitude “Practice or quit” there will be only less players and it will be more solo game as MMO, but who cares anyway, right?

Are you serious? You make a minigame, that people play (mostly) only for achievement and you make in unbelievebly hard so people have to spend all their free time on this awesome mini game? And they even have to do it before next patch, because there is Bazaar of the Four Winds achievement which you can’t complete until you finish this mini game – gg.

Are you really planning on doing these things in every patch? Things that take regular players hours to achive? Thing like jummping puzzle without checkpoint or this awesome minigame?

Are you going to do something about this Adnul or is it really just about tons of luck to beat him? Did you even test it before you implanted it in to the patch?

Are you just going to make people mad or maybe could you do something enjoyable (like the sprint – which I personaly don’t like, but people like it)?

How much longer do you think that players patience can take this? Don’t tell me that people think that this is amazing pvp system.

Why aren’t you implanting pvp level in to the matchmaking? Do you really think that rank 50 has the same experience as rank 10 even if they are both 90%?

And the serious question. What are you going to do about this leaderboards (which is only saying who is playing soloQ and who is playing premade) and matchmaking? This really isn’t working and I really doubt that more than 5% of players like it. This is just stupid system that will make people leave the pvp (sooner or later).

It would be really awesome if you’d take 30 minutes of your precious time and wrote something about what are you gonna do about tpvp… Because this way you will really lose pvp base…

Well, it seems like Anet doesnt even care about pvp and they are only doing pvp updates to shut players mouth up. What did we get in 10 months of playing? Matchmaking that 90% of players are angry about. (I think that if would be enought to have back “free” tournaments. “Free” would be for randoms, rated would be for premades…) Second thing… we got is leaderboard that really doesnt say anything about your skills (for example me and my friends do a lot of solo, we are about 80%. Then we decide to go with friends and make premade. We take someone rank 20 who cant even play and he plays bunker because nobody els wants to play it. But we only get randoms from 80-85% so we win almost every game. We are now 95% but our friend, who doesnt know ANYTHING about spvp is 700. Ok, lets play solo for one week again. We are again 80% and our friend is still 700 because he doesnt play. We make premade team and and we win all again. We are 90% but our friend who still cant play at all is 500! How amazing system). Than we got 2 new maps. That is the way to do it and I really apreciate it! Oh, we have spectrator mode and custome arenas. We still cant see the best tournament games, so good for us, we have spectrator mode! And we got rid of paids and free tournaments system, what a joke… you can only play hotjoins or rated matches. And the rewards? Instead of gems we get 200 glory? for what? For competing who has more glory? I dont really see any way to be glory usefull for ranks 40+… Do you really think that this should be the way to do it? Well, it doesnt even metter if we whine or not, nobody reads this anyway, so what…

Well, this game HAD very good player base. But why would people keep playing if you have to wait half a year for leaderboards, that are not splitted for solo Q and premade? Why did they delete old free tournaments (or 3 round tournaments) anyway? Because of low player base? What about making something that people like instead of doing something that makes people stop playing this game? PvP rewards are really a joke. They even took away gem rewards from tournaments… So perfect… you have custome arenas, but you have to buy it for real money or go to pve (some pvp players dont really like pve)… To play this game you really have to like it is right now you really have to love the game (and the loosing) or you must have a sponzor that pays you for playing. The biggest joke is the matchmaking. This way it will only make people stop playing spvp forever… I cant really imagine that loosing 5 matches will make a beginner continue play spvp…

Ok… I understand that pvp rank doesnt mean anything, because matchmaking is based on leaderboards, but do you really think that is should work like this? Do you really think that average rank 20 can play like average rank 45?

And second amazing thing about matchmaking! VOLATILITY! You lose 10 games because of this perfect matchmaking system and next day… Patch and volatility change! YEAH, you were 300, now you are 80% and what a nice change! You need to win 100 games to be 300 again! That is really amazing… And the most amazing thing is that you will never be able to win 100 games without any lose, because you always get first timer in your team…

I am really dissappointed in this game… Every patch makes the spvp more and more annoying… Like this OP necro… are you serious? Yes, necro needed boost, but this?

And please save comments like: “get team” or “dont whine”

First off, you belong to people who doesn’t care about leaderboards, so you probably can’t understand, that someone does care.

And I am not really writing this because I want to be top… I am in top 25 europe so that is enough for me… I wrote this because I think that if there is a leaderboards, it shouldn’t be based on how much dailies you have done. I agree that it should be based on time you spent in game, but not really dailies. But this is just my opinion and I just wanted to share my opinion with others

I know that there have been a lot of topics like this one, but nothing has been solved yet. It’s about daily and monthly achievement points in leaderboards. In my opinion, these achievement points ruin the game. I think that there are four reasons to think this way. I would like you to open your constructive thinking now.

The first reason is that this is a game. People are supposed to ENJOY the game and these who are good in something should be awarded by a good position in leaderboards. Daily and monthly achievements make people play every day two-three hours only to get 9 pve achievements (now 10) and 4 spvp (now 6). Especially people who hate spvp has to play it just to get achievement points and be at good position. Do you really think that it should be like this? People should play this game only to make their dailies? Ok, I understand that it should take special afford to be in the top, but who do you think enjoys doing it every day? Of course no one is forcing us to do this, but what is the logic? Why doesn’t we only have laurels for dailies? Or why isn’t there any maximum of accumulated achievement points per day? For example I like to play spvp but I don’t like pve and wvw much. I would only do pvp daily and I would know that no one won’t get more points than me. Another question is… why is there 10 choices to do pve daily if you have to do all anyway?

The second reason are beginners. Imagine that you buy guild wars 2 today. There are two kind (main categories) of peope. The first are people who only wants to enjoy the game. The second are people that wants to be the best. So if you belong to the second group, you naturally want to have a chance to be the best one day. How can you do it with current achievement system? I personally have 8275 achievement points at the moment. 4801 are from regular staffs and 3474 are from daily and monthly achievements (a lot of people have even more from daily and monthly). How is the beginner, who wants to be the best one day, supposed to get the 3474 achievement points? Would you like to play a game where you can NEVER be the top? Yeah, I know… People who play since beta should be ahead, but they already are because of Halloween, Winters day and more. They have more points in spvp and wvw… And of course there is spvp leaderboards, but not everyone wants to play spvp and instead wants to be the top of pve. I am not saying that achievement points are the best way how to show who is the best at pve, but it’s hard to make an perfect indicator and achievements at least show that you know something about the game. So what about making a max amount of daily and monthly achievements like agent of entropy and hobby dungeon explorer have? Not 250 but 3000 for example? Or delete daily and monthly achievement points totally?

The third reason is that there has to be an indicator which tells you if the player you just took to the party is newbie or not. Achievements are the only thing which can show it. I know that it’s a bad indicator, but it’s better than anything at all. Let’s imagine a guy, who only does dailies and few other things. He can have like 3000 achievement points and you think all right, he is not bad, let’s take him. This guy knows anything about the game and will probably die a lot => only bother to you.

Fourth is the imbalance between these points and other achievements. For example you get 5 achievement points for legendary weapon which takes a lot of afford, but you can do one daily where you get 10 points every day. This really doesn’t seem all right to me.

I would really like to have a respond from developers. Are you going to do something about it or is it going to be like this forever? And others… if you are going to write about whining than just calm down and don’t write anything at all please.

Last thing I would like to write is that I absolutely love this game. It has a great potential, but it’s still quite imbalanced. Anyway it’s still great game and developers do a great job.

Shadow Behemoth has spawned, he is attacking, but he is not spawning any mobs. We can not target him or the portals. Only rangers pet can attack him. We would like to do the achievement, becouse on this server he has not spawned for like 3 weeks, I think…
