I love the fractals so far, except the Swamp. Swamp one is pain in the behind.

the first part with the wisps, we had to try 40-60 times over the course of 1.5hrs to get it right, I’m kinda glad my party didn’t break up.

Anet, fix this fractal, the rest are brilliant, but this one relies too much on broken hitboxes and preying on luck for the stars to aline. (cause you need it when carrying those wisp orbs in under 35seconds, the trees working against you, 30second cripple traps, and the random bosses that one shot most weaker armor wearers, don’t get me started on the RANDOM kitten BINDS)

AC Story is now hilariously easy compared to CM Story.

I actually exited AC on my level 80 (babysitting some low level friends) with a profit.

If they tailored the game for the more hardcore base, you get TERA, I suppose you don’t know about what happened with that game. But i’ll explain it anyway.

Game came out, confirmed sales were 750k. 2nd month (when subs kicked in) . 300k, 3rd, 100k. Now? under 50. And a good 95% of them (read, almost all of them) don’t even pay for subs anymore, and abuse the hell of ‘chronoscroll’ like eve’s plex.

Now, mass server merge, 9 servers down to just 2. The severe drop in players was due to casual players getting bored because the HARDCORE PLAYERS were shunting them out of every instance, dungeon and event they tried to do

To me, that game was a cataclysmic failure. I forsee it will be free 2 play in just a few months time.

The MMO market is a Brutal market. If you don’t tailor your game to the greater numbers, your MMO will fail. And while some might see it as a success (read : the hardcore players might call it the next best thing since sliced bread) to a company, it is completely unfeasible.

The most important test for GW2 currently right now, is will they be able to release content that tailors for both sides? I’m holding my breath but only because I love the game and everything about it. I’m not going on any crusades just because its not the same as its predecessor.

Also, anet is deleting your posts because despite you trying to sound extremely calm and meaningful, your posts due incite alot of flaming. Its like adding fuel to a fire.

the entire Arah storyline instance was pretty darn cool up to that point

was kinda disappointed when it was just spamming 2 for 3minutes. He didn’t even do anything.

I’m guessing when you have the entire party spamming conditions, it becomes an issue.

One or two players playing durrrrr will not affect the other 3 blasting away.

Puzzle Griefing in WvWvW ruins the Game experience.

the dredge friendly constantly placed immortality on one golem at a time, forcing us to switch targets constantly, the immortality lasted 15seconds as well, which was ANNOYING.

Maybe it was just the path we picked. It was the one where we had to kill the taskmaster, a ton of foremans along with some wardredge starting with S.

Funny thing is we focused down mkII first to get rid of the lightning but you need to kill both golems at the same time otherwise the other golem just regenerates to full Health

But it wasn’t that hard put 2 players on mkI and 3 on mkII and keep them seperated from each other.

But one of them is always invulnerable. That doesn’t work.

holy christ is this boss poorly designed.

Having to switch targets every 15seconds due to the Friendly enemy casting invulnerability on one golem every 15seconds (effect lasts 15seconds) Along with dodging the mkII golem who shoots a 3000 damage lightning bolt at you every 1 and a half seconds? Excuse me we don’t have infinite dodges here, that bolt is incredibly accurate as well. It also places an AOE after it hits you which does laughable damage, the problem is thekitteninitial bolts basically hitting everybody for 3k and they have ridiculous amounts of auto aim. Once you run out of dodges you can’t do anything.

Feel free to comment on how we can do this boss properly, me and my guild mates on vent are going to go scream into a pillow.

because AOE cripple is totally not overpowered as hell in WvW

I spam clones purely for this reason, they die, they explode, they cripple everybody who happens to hug the clone. Berserker Phantasm can easily do a few thousand damage to everybody who is bunched up, and thats good enough for me. Mesmer is a squishy class and you arn’t suppose to be up front and personal being full of I AM DPS CLASS (really good players can make the melee build work with excellent effect though – I use the melee build, its deadly in sPVP)

I suppose you wouldn’t also know that currently, Mesmers and Necromancers are two of the absolute hardest classes to kill? Seriously our survivability is through the roof. I outran 45 people in WvW who zerged on my 5 man guild group because we were going around taking supply camps. The rest of my group died. I ran away, I was also stunned about 6 times running away. Mesmer has a ridiculous amount of get out of jail free cards.

Also, with the right build. Phantasmal Berserker can hit 5k crits. And inflict bleeding, and cripple. Now if we turned them into pets where they stuck around forever constantly changing targets, Wouldn’t that be just a little bit op?

Our ‘Pets’ also spawn right next to the enemy we target, for phantasms, this allows maximum damage and gurrenteed conditions to target. Ranger pets and necro pets, have to run up towards the target. In 90% of engagements, most of them die before they even get anywhere near a target.

I personally don’t want to be spending 50s-1g just in repair costs to clear ‘hard content’ Especially when I still don’t know how to make enough money that even waypointing around (1s for a waypoint right under me?, nearly 7 s across the entire world?) causes concerns for me.

So far every dungeon I’ve cleared while fun has been an utter, complete waste of time.
I want to enjoy the hard content, I love figuring out the mechanics behind some boss fights, what i don’t have is infinite money for the inevitable wipes that happen WHILE I’m figuring it out.

Give us at least a good reward that is worth it for each boss kill, then I might actually do them. I really dislike killing a boss where we’ve figured out the mechanics eventually (after say, 6 wipes) only for the treasure chest to go ‘hehehe have a blue that will sell for 30copper’

probably won’t try TA for awhile now :/

(spent 1.5hrs, and 40silver in there, funnily enough all our wipes were from the nightmare boss who spawns suicidal spiders, dat poison is hax)

is Faolain suppose to teleport down to try and res the illusion? or does she do it from long range? cause I failed my last run a few hours ago purely because she never came down from her little verandah and did some long range res rubbish no matter where we killed the illusions. We tried over 10 times to get her to come down but she never budged. Seems kinda silly if she wasn’t suppose to come down and was suppose to resurrect illusions from long range..

my only problem with thieves is why are they always 4-10 of them per Spvp match… Makes them all boring if you know what they are all going to be doing.

They should make the class harder to learn. Right now its so so SOOOO easy to learn hence why its currently the no.1 most spammed class in spvp with warrior right behind it
