Never. ^^ j’attend un miracle. ( I expected a miracle.) it’s been two years that I keep making suggestions.

Greetings fellow heroes of Tyria,

First, I’ll thank you in advance for reading this post.

Since two months now, I’ve quit Guild Wars 2, shortly after the relase of HoT & the Raid few weeks later. My post is only to make a simple criticism, but also suggestions and maybe some improvements.

First point !

My number one issue is with the Story of HoT.

Very short for me, missing few points and I also felt sad when I don’t saw any hostile jungle, traps and more importantly the Bloodstone from GW1. <SPOILER> Eir’s Death leave me with a strange feeling. This death was not brave, not epic. It was quick, sad and felt like it was a missing point before the release of the expansion “Oh my, we forgot to do something with Eir”. I would have loved seeing her fighting like a injured wolf, shacking of rage and the will to survive, with her bare fists for weapons. To die like a Norn of her status should die : Like a Hero.

Also, I wished more informations about Rata Novus, about the innovations of this strange but wonderful city. More details for the story, more story instances, more dialogues with the team to fully understand what’s going on and what was the plan.

For the humans, I’ve wished that the Queen made a speech for Logan after the end of the story, and also some rumors for Zojja status in Rata Sum.

More important for me, maybe a quick dialogue with the Pale Tree, about the death of Mordremoth and what’s going to happen to her and her childrens.

But not, everything stop at the moment you kill the Dragon, and a few speech with the team.

For me it’s a mistake that need to be corrected in the future, because it may leave a feeling of abandon to the player.
In my opinion, a few side quests could be very usefull to make us live the change that we have bring to the world. For example, the Pirates taking new HQ at various locations in Tyria. The Consortium making improvements to Southsun Cove. Maybe bring some map changes for Orr, after all the curse has been lifted by Trahearne, maybe some fresh plants and other can be great for the immersion.

Second point !

The Raid.

I got few problems with the Raid, but none with the system itself. Has an explorer before everything, I love to explore new areas, discover every secrets and learn new things about each races. But with the Raid, I can’t comply to this envy. Why you will ask ? Few words are enough to describe my feelings. META. I can’t play all the time to GW2, and furthermore, I can’t spend enough time to make my Ascended gear to comply to the actual Meta. So because of this, I can’t join any group, or be usefull during the bosses. So I can’t visit those new places and discover all of their secrets. My main point is on the White Mantle, who’ve been bringed back even more with the patch next week.

I believe in a system like the story instance, where you can visit AFTER the rescue of the team who’s doing the Raid. You can fight few monsters, but nothing the level of Vale Guardian or any other boss of the Raid. I think this can be great for people who can’t spend “enough” time on GW but can still appreciate the new things added.

Third point !

The Nether.

You’re surely gonna say “What is the nether ?”. In fact, that is the way I call the emptyness I feel for the game after the living story. (Rumors step aside). In all those months, we have nothing more about the events of the death of the dragon. But furthermore about the OLDER events. Like the Consortium as I said before.

The Tengus are still passive, protected by the Walls, but do not care about the fate of the world with two dragons down already.

Fourth point !

Unlocking success and collections are great, seriously. But why this system can’t adapt for other purposes ? Like the Lore, Researchs, Bestiary…

Maybe and why not, some Housing system ? The unlock of the mini-games like Polymock, the Tavern’s Fight and others ?

Maybe some trading system between cities, with an escort and few golds at the end for the players who did all the way up.

Fifth point !

We have a beautiful world, why can’t you do something with it ? Maybe some dynamic weather, snow storms in the Shiverpeak Mountains, flood in the Maguuma Forest or even in Tyria near the Lion’s Arch ?

That’s only some few of the ideas I’ve found with the time. But to make a complete list here, it would take more than just one post. It will only give us the immersion and the fact that the game is alive with us.

Sixth point !

This last one will be for the shop :

- New guild halls, smaller maybe or something like a huge camp ?
- More weapons who CAN’T be acquired trough Black Lion Chests, like Braham mace & shield, etc.
- Tickets to explore the raid freely, like I said, with the instance.
- Polymock pieces when the Polymock is goin’ to be released
- More outfits and armors from GW1 Characters ( Like Gwen, who’s already ingame )
- Re-introduce deleted story quests with the “China” Update. ( Yes, the restructuration after the release of GW2 in China)

Personally, I love the fight underwater! you just improve damage.

Anyway, and that’s science, the devs said that is not possible, there are too many different genomes between races to give birth for an half-blood like norn-sura, or Hooman-charr, or whatever.

This is science…. This is not possible.

and I find it a bit confusing … hum… berk…

In an other case , pets’ skins Outfits (GW2 familiar / monster ) … it can be funny.

In HoT, I expected a lot of screenwriting. For example, the Nightmare’s Court. Or explanations of the Dream. Or more given on the Asura. (good point : it makes the fan-lore asura very very happy) But especially my biggest regret is:

What are they now ? Can we meet them? How have they reacted to the death of Mordremoth ?

The Grove
The mother tree, how is it you? is what the fan grove with his sad state? How it will happen? How will she react to the reaction Caithe? Is sylvari will change their minds?

Rata Sum
Rata Sum is strangely static. The Genius don’t do anything. If there is a city who need to be in a constant lane, it’s Rata Sum.
I don’t understand why they don’t do research and discovers with what is Inside Arah, like an upgraded Jotun Observatory.
Why they don’t have an hospital ? Why they don’t make the city evolving ? Why there is not an upgraded Asura boat, with cristal motors ?
And the airships too, they can be upgraded, the Pact has know trouble with their actual airships, the Glorious Tyria twice.
Why they don’t follow the world, with all the Council efforts to mask it ?

Rata Novus wasn’t that far, and the Dragon’s head neither. It’s shocking, the NPCs don’t realised ?

Lion’s Arch
The NPCs not reacting to the events:
The NPCs do not show asser your evolution in history. They do not talk people lost beyond Maguuma or discoveries. There is no settling of new merchants to offer the exotic. Why not open shops and houses, stuff to bring to the central tyrie some discoveries for improved daily?

This city is supposed to be the Intercultural Center. The Place of freight … From communications.

Where are the pirates? :
- People proud and free, it still amazes me not see their face in the open rebellion invasion rich THEIR proletarians in town.
You they can not begin to respond by rebuilding a city within a city by making close to Est Ward Waypoint?
Could we not have events of nights type stop thieves, killers or sylvari. See gnawing anxiety slowly town?
With all past events, the Pirates certainly not going to let it go.

Nobles:
- The feeling of being in a city designed for noble human promontory, people declining to war against centaurs, the fields ravaged, famine or nearly bursting. I do not see any sign, and there are almost too Noble for what remains human. It’s almost indecent. The Queen will not find money for their pension asser do anything.
Why not reduce the Nobles to start instead create a truly multi-racial population, composed of merchants charr, asura, norn, more open house, and chatter about the nobles who have renounced to come by the lack of human means ?
War eaten .. some are lost in the Maguuma. Their number should be reduced to show that humans are struggling to recover. And put more common people.

Rata Novus is gorgeous .. I had my little emotion Asura fan. I hope so much that you put us asuras other cities in the tyrie pronfondeurs. even Jumping Puzzle! Always more labs \ o / This breed deserves so much his moment of glory.

Besides, do you have plans for the halls of asuras guilds? (and other breeds)

Frankly, the frames are interesting, dark and intriguing. I like the change between Zaithan, and new stories.

These are the places I like more in gw2.

I really Regrete that the asuras are not more detailed in their lifestyle.

Sorry, I personally am heterosexual, and I have great difficulty in finding a mate. For me the NPC Gay will just reinforce my sense of solitude. I would have liked to see more lovely couples Logan / Jennah. (and preferably endings them.)

I wish I had a different approach based on my race. I hope for other extensions, we will look at other breeds. As Asuras.

I find many frogs. I hope to find other jungles elements, new familliers, an incredible bio-diversity.

My main problems with the Norns and Human faces … most is the lack of swamp of the jaw. Too many “boils” childish. Doll faces that seem to multiply.

I would really like more pronounced faces, in the most extreme contours. A strong jaw, prominent cheekbones or more visible, more choice in the nose. Less makeup, affirm the character. Chin older or less. actually feel a marking.
Give me square jaws! Or triangular. I see too many round or oval faces.
it would also be nice to have faces pulling the fifties. In humans or norn to age said.

Give me imperfect faces!

For asuras also, I really would like to feel the work on variety of features. and we can indeed have new ears.

But I think we should separate the face makeup, tattoos and scars, and make a tab apart. Accessorized makeup.

I do not really see a good eye strangers from stealing the knowledge Asuras. (can be with what I actually have a crush on Asura race.)
