Silk and thick leather are kitten near worthless, it’s often better to just vendor them than sell on the TP. Are there any plans to make use of these items again?

As of now, the various guild missions are neither fun nor community building. They’re little more than activities that are done once a week (not in the intended way either) for a time gated gear grind.
Guild bounties need to be revamped from the way they are now. Instead of having a list of various targets and having guild members stalk them beforehand, have a bounty start with one target. As the guild kills each target, more time is added to the clock. Have the targets pathing be random in a zone to prevent stalking if you must. Each tier will have different amounts of targets that need to be captured before completing the hunt. However, even after the amount of targets is met, a guild should be allowed to keep on hunting. The more targets that are captured extra rewards (coin/gear/karma/xp) should be given for each. Increase the difficulty on all the targets; more attacks, more phases with different abilities.
Let non guildies receive rewards for participating in a guild bounty. Let them get commendations and event rewards, but not the coin or the guaranteed rares. This would help to build server community and would push solo players into maybe finding a guild they like. For example Rico’s Roughnecks are advertising in LA that they’re going to be firing off a bounty within 10 mins. Come join them in Diessa Plateau and get your commendations (and extra coin/gear/karma/xp for the bonus targets!).
Let bounties be triggerable for 6 hours after the initial start, so people in guild that aren’t online at the time can also participate when they’re awake/home from work/etc.
Guild treks should be set up in the same way and incorporate some elements from guild rushes. Start off with one location and give the guild 3 minutes to have 5 players reach that point. As each target is met, another one pops up and more time is added to the clock. For an individual to get their rewards, they must reach all the targets on the list. For the guild to get the merits, any guild member must reach the targets. If the guild is skilled enough, there would be bonus targets after the minimum and bonus rewards for each one made.
Guild rushes are awesome and done pretty well. I wouldn’t change anything about them except keeping them open for 6 hours so people who aren’t online at the same can participate.

Robert why not consider giving a considerable amount of coin as the reward? 75s-1g at the end for those who have already cleared it? Award it once per day to discourage repeated farming, but have the reward high enough to entice players to actually run story modes.
This helps people find a way to actually make decent gold and at the same time help out people who just want the story modes done.
The only time it would matter would be during boss fights and with defiant in place, no CC would work anyway, rending a taunt utterly useless in it’s most needed area.
I think what happens is he aggros onto someone that he can’t path to or something and gets stuck. Generally I tell people to up on the platform or where he can reach you easier and he gets unstuck.
No the stats should be the same, what you guys want is basically the argument against ascended gear. No one should be forced to run Arah for the best stats, only the look if they want it.
There’s a sense of prestige in having Arah gear, if you see someone with a full set you know they did it for the challenge and not so much for the stats. Besides having the skin is good enough, I’ve had people take one look at my character in pugs and have said they were glad to have a good player in the run.
Yeah I have one too and it’s great. The because of the way the spatial surge graphic works, the entire sword lights up whenever it fires.
I just ran P2 today and Operative Belka bugged and wouldn’t turn hostile to us. Left the instance and reformed the group and it worked fine, but wasn’t this bug supposed to be fix this patch?
They should have just made the daily “participate in a combo”. Would encourage people grouping up and not having to deal with this garbage.
Were there any changes to the dungeon trash in this update? Do bosses still have the same HP levels? There was basically a vague “dungeons were polished” in the patch notes.
I sincerely hope that you don’t do anything with Lupicus; he is the single best encounter in the entire game. I do hope that you fix his bugs however, especially the aoe in p2 hitting in areas where it shouldn’t.
You do not want deceptive evasion to spawn clones when not in combat.
A bump for Ehmry from Mags, I can’t think of any other servers that have a rivalry like this (look at the posts above), let’s get Ebay back in T4 so we can fight each other and ignore the 3rd server again.
I miss fighting against The Great Enemy (Ehmry Bay), if there ever was a server we have a rivalry with, it’s them.
Will you be adding more cosmetic items to the gem store? Town clothing, armor skins?
Will you provide a wardrobe like function for PvE armor skins, so that people can collect armors without having to take up bank space?
Will you add more craftable items to the mystic forge? Will you use obsidian shards for things other than legendaries?
Will you have more things purchaseable with karma?

Robert, you’re right about the path of least resistance.
I think the thing that would get people to clear instead of skip would be if you made skipping trash more trouble than it’s worth. If you made it easier to actually kill the trash rather than try to run past it. Greatly reduce the HP levels of the mobs, replace the champions with elites, and elites with veterans. Increase the damage done of the mobs if you want to keep the challenge. This makes it so killing trash can be done quickly, gives people a reason to use their CC skills (and to see those CC skills actually be a big factor in victory). I would also reduce the amount of trash in certain dungeons.
Fractal trash is a great example, the Ascalon fractal in particular. Easy enough for good groups to breeze through, but hard enough to destroy bad groups that don’t pay attention or play badly.
The particle effects only show up when you have it unsheathed, when it’s holstered it doesn’t glow.
We all know they’re going to come at some point, but will you change some of the current exotics to ascended level quality? I’m talking mainly about Volcanus and Foefire’s Essence, those two weapons are head and shoulders above other crafted exotics, but below legendaries. I just do not want to waste hundreds of gold worth in mats only to find out that I need to grind it all over again.
-Not so much an improvement, but a suggestion for an “easy” to implement dungeon. A horde mode dungeon, where more enemies and harder enemies spawn the longer your team stays alive. Have leaderboards and unique arenas (LOS, elevation, traps).
Set it to a Char themed gladiator tournament. I’m on fire with the suggestions tonight, give me a job Anet.
-Have the legendary pre-cursor scavenger hunt require you go do things in story mode dungeons. A good example is in WoW’s Uldar raid, in order to get the legendary hammer, you had to throw it into the last boss’ mouth when he was at less than 5% hp. Or you had to stand in front and take a dragon’s breath attack and live.
-First and foremost bring the trash mobs inline with fractal trash mobs in terms of HP/damage, get rid of the champions. Fractal trash is perfect in the amount of time it takes to kill them. Remove some extra packs (looking at you TA), these don’t add anything other than making the dungeon more time consuming.
-I would reduce burst damage from everything (traps/trash/bosses), but increase the attack speed (making not CCing or moving out of the way just as punishing and also making confusion viable). 3 knight + Leurent in TA is a good example of what I mean.
-Add more waypoints in dungeons, TA and Arah are gross violators.
-Letting conditions effect furniture (AC path 1 + 2)
-Add a timer for how fast you clear a dungeon multiplied by how many things are dead. If you kill everything (trash/bosses), tokens/coins get a multiplier. Let’s say a 3x for beating cof path 2 in 30 minutes. Maybe 5x for beating Arah in less than 2 hours. Think of the timed dungeons/raids in WoW. Maybe add bonus bosses that you can only access if you reach it before a certain amount of time. Let it drop lodestones or mini’s.
-Bring lodestone/core drop rates inline with fractals. Rare exotics should not cost more than legendaries.
-Add ascended dungeon armor sets, make them cost an arm and a leg. 1500 for boots/gloves, 2000 for helm/chest.
-Add more titles for dungeon clearing and dungeon speed clearing. “The Gardener” for clearing all story and 3 paths of TA or “Ghostbuster” for all of AC. ETC.
-Add achievements for doing certain things during boss fights, not letting Magg take damage while opening the door, kill the ghosteater without using the mortars, things along that line.
-Remove the effect magic find from dungeons.
-Have dungeon runs last 1 hour at the most.
-Give bonus to gold/tokens for members that are 80 that have sub 80’s in the dungeon, have the amount dependent on the level gap. Total level sum of 400 would reward less than total level sum of 360.

After running TA enough times for 2 armor sets, FU is probably the hardest of all the paths (bees and bosses). With the wyrm, there’s a “safe spot” on the left side behind the root. Depending on where the boss is facing you can sometimes hit it from there, if not you can back up and heal up. Most of the time the other vines won’t hit you.
Vevina is much easier as melee (I’m a mesmer) just because the auto attack won’t actually hit her when she has chaos armor up. Hitting her when she has that shield up is brutal, you can easily dodge chaos storm without much damage, but hitting her with chaos armor up is a sure way to get killed if she targets you with that ranged damage of hers. Bring lots of condition removal for the confusion, and when she reappears out of steath roll away, she aoes right on the spot.
The tree is just untuned garbage. The “way” to do this is to have every stand at ranged and do absolutely no aoe attacks, so you don’t aggro the spiders. Basically auto attack and roll out of the way, boring as hell fight. The respawn on the spiders is just too fast, there are too many, and there is too much health for you to deal with on top of trying to dps the tree.
If your guild is deadset on getting the TA armor without having to deal with crap, I recommend doing Up and then FF (only hard part about FF is the last pull+ boss). 130ish tokens a day isn’t bad and they should have the entire set within 1 and a half weeks.
I have 6 and I’m only fractal level 6. :P
Really though, let people buy that and the rings with tokens.
32 seconds is way too short on the low levels. I think 45 seconds for the timer would be the sweet spot. Reduce the timer as the higher levels.
If all else, the agony mechanic needs to go. I think people can live with a new tier of gear, but gating content is implementing poor mechanics from 2006 World of Warcraft.

Exactly. Let’s streamline this further and add number weight to the stats. Higher points for Toughness and Vit, then the rest and add negative points for MF. This number should be right next to titles, where the 100% map completion is.
What they should do is attach a certain value on the gear you have equipped. Say, an exotic is worth than an uncommon. To make things easier, they should just sum up the totals of the gear and have it be displayable to other players, so people know who they can invite safely.
He’s probably not coded into the game yet, I’m hoping the reason for that is Anet is still making unique skins for all the weapons. Anyone else thinking about the “pact” weapons on the database sites that no one can get currently? I’m betting it’s those.
Are these things only account bound when the entire stack is not used? I.E. it’s sitting at 250 and can move them to any of my characters. I was trying move the kit to a new character from my level 80 and it wouldn’t let me put it into my bags from the bank.
