Yeah that is what I’m used to, but as of today both left and right mouse buttons have the same effect which is right mouse button behavior.

I can no longer look in a direction different from the direction I am running. This is with the left mouse button. I don’t think I have changed settings . Anybody have any input about this?

I created am oiled ancient rifle stock. Went to hero point location in V Brink, won’t charge it. Anybody know what the problem is?

Problem is I don’t know what I picked a year ago. And its also not clear what I would need to do if I wanted to open this collection now.

Can’t unlock this even though I completed Prisoners of Dragon. This is needlessly over complicated. I am just providing feedback if Anet cares, I don’t have any intention to redo living story even if I knew what to do.

My friend is thinking about playing for first time. He wants to join my server so we can WvW together. I’m on Blackgate which is always very high population. Is it possible for him to join BG while pop is very high? Can he keep trying and eventually get in?

It’s already been mentioned but I’ll post again that tying Mastery Points to to Adventures is a bad idea. They are not fun and shouldn’t be required. If aspects of the game I don’t enjoy are going to be forced on me, I won’t continue playing long term.

I never crashed before HOT. I have turned down graphics to where there is nothing but titles running around. This worked until the 11/17 update, now I’m crashing often again. The game is UNPLAYABLE. And my machine is not a bare bones system, it is a Mac system as if that matters.

You’re kidding right? I’m not a computer engineer and I don’t work for Anet.
Half the time I crash, it just crashes, no error report. The last time my machine crashed and rebooted itself, nice. The other half of the time, the error says a report was sent to ANet, so there should be something for devs to look at.

My game crashes every 30 – 45 minutes, especially in large events. Most crash screens say a report was sent to Anet. I have looked around on forums and don’t see that this is being addressed. I don’t think it is on my end as nothing has changed since exp launch.

The game is not playable for me. As of the release of HOT I crash at least once an hour. The last 4 attempts at Teq have all resulted in a crash. I get a number of errors, most say a report was sent to Anet, one has c0000005 in msg. I’m very frustrated.

I can’t play without crashing every 30 minutes. This includes non HOT content like Teq. I’m very frustrated, I can’t complete much and get credit because the crashes are so frequent.

Still crashing often, last 4 Teq attempts have crashed, the game is not playable.

What is the fix for ‘You are not in a guild" problem? I tried standing down and repping again, that doesn’t help.

Cmon Anet, respond to this. If you want us to spend gems on finishers fix this bug or provide a workaround. This is still happening.

I have been having this problem for weeks. The problem comes and goes throughout the day. Clearing the cache does not solve the problem.

What gives? Sometimes its partially accessible. Other times none of the tabs are accessible and this changes from one hour to the next. Its been going on for weeks.

One type of crash may have been fixed but my Mac is still crashing. This happened several months ago with these same errors. I am getting c0000006, lockedRect.pBits, and just now, dstBits listed in the error dialog. I am running OS X 10.9.2 (13C64)

Thus is still happening after the latest patch, although with a different error.

The error dialog has the term lockedRect.pBits

How do you access this? Wiki page is useless, google search returns no results on how to use it/find it. Thanks in advance.

When I encounter thiefs and attack, they simply stealth, hit me once or twice when I can’t see them and I am down. My toons are not glass cannons ( ranger, guardian). I know AOE can help if it hits the area the thief is in. Is one solution to be geared as a glass cannon and try to one shot them first. I am quite frustrated with this mechanic and would appreciate any ideas to counter this.

The troll on BG is spending 8 plus hours a day doing this. It really impacts our ability to play especially at reset. I am really kitten ed off that this has been going on for at least 3 weeks. ANet if it is going to take awhile to engineer a solution, then you have an obligation to investigate the hundreds of reports you are getting about one individual who is ruining the playing experience for many others.

I would like for Anet to come up with a way for players to report trolls who are blatantly trying to hinder a server from playing the game the way it is intended to be played. This troll is obviously doing this to aid a rival server. Perhaps change the reporting mechanism so that if a percentage of players on a map report someone, they are temporarily suspended until Anet investigates.

This has nothing to do with players who build siege in one place and move on. I’m talking about trolls who spend hours at a time building hundreds on pieces of siege in ways that hinders playing the game.

Yeah it’s a rant, you bet it is. But also a suggestion to stop someone who is clearly impacting a large number of players and ruining the WvW experience. Just the fact that the guy wastes supply during reset is bad enough. This alone can actually determine the weekly outcome. If there isn’t something in the TOS then that needs to change.

For the third week our server has a troll who 1) builds siege in a way that inhibits our ability to play effectively, 2) wastes supply, 3) trolls in map chat. Anet, why is nothing being done about this, you must have received dozens or hundreds of reports about this by now? There needs to be a way to suspend some one who uses an account to harass an opposing server. It is completely inexcusable to let this abuse go on this amount of time.

Here is an update in case this helps someone. I have stopped crashing as of Saturday although I am not convinced the problem has been eliminated. I followed all the steps including running the repair command from a terminal window as of Friday. The next step was to change Setting Preset in the Graphics settings to Best Performance even though I had previously manually lowered every graphic setting that I understood. I still crashed. Customer support contacted me Fri night and asked me to run the repair command again. I considered not doing it thinking it wouldn’t do any good. I did after remembering I changed the graphics preset. I have been crash free since. The one setting I know that changed when I used Best Performance is Render sampling changed to Subsample.

I tried every step listed above, no luck.

I get one of 3 different errors. dstBits, Exception C0000005, lockedRect.pBits.

I have opened a ticket and got a quick response to try deleting some files. That didn’t work, I will reply when they come up with a fix.

I’m getting the notorious dtsbits error as soon as the 8/6 patch was downloaded on my iMac. I’ve been crashing once or twice a week on a regular basis which is tolerable but now I can’t play the game at all. What worries me is that I don’t see any posts about this. Anybody else seeing this?

I have completed 175/176 areas in Ascalon. I get the impression that you get credit for an area when you discover it, not when you complete all vistas, way points etc. Is that correct?

I have 100% map completion in all zones except for the (for me) impossible vista and skill point in Diessa Plateau at the Breached Wall. I’m hoping I need one more area like a cave or something that doesn’t have a Waypoint or POI. Something quirky that isn’t obvious, any thoughts?

I would like Anet to address/respond to this. This happens to me 2-3 times a week. I am 100% sure I am in the circle when the structure flips and I have tagged the lord.

I am trying to understand how to apply Orb of Light and Ray of Judgement to fellow players using a ram while attacking a gate. I’m having trouble getting the energy field to directly pass over them. I have tried selecting a player but the field seems to go directly to the gate. Also, is there any visual indication when Orb of Light is detonated? I don’t notice any difference when I select this skill a second time.

Thanks for the reply. I went back and tried again except this time I snuck up the side like you suggested and didn’t kill the veteran. I was able to commune with no problem. I think this must be the secret.

I’m trying to get a skill point located to the far west side of the map. It’s in the water right by a Grenth statue in the Drowned Brine area. The problem is the statue is always contested so defeating the veteran and a couple of drakes does no good. Can someone tell me what event needs to be completed so that the statue becomes uncontested?

This may seem like a minor problem and I guess it is most of the time but it becomes a major problem when a player in your group uses a hawk as a pet in WvW. This is very distracting when you have to view this for more than a couple of seconds.

I need to get the skill point in this area. What do you look for to determine the event has started?

Fot the second time today I was defeated by a thief inside a castle and I can’t see them until they attack more than once. In both instances they had defeated another player and then myself. Apparently they have abilities that extend beyond a few seconds and can remain cloaked. My complaint is that they cannot be spotted for what seems like an 15 -20 seconds and apparently have full offensive capabilities to attack in addition to not being able to be spotted. Whats up with this? Why should I have to run for my life just because there is a thief in the area? If they just used resources to defeat another player then they shouldn’t have the advantage on another player who has full resources. What gives here, I read about this situation before, so it’s not that this is a unique occurrence?

The ascended items sold by the laurel merchant has multiple stats some in green, some white. Do you benefit from all the stats regardless of color?

What is the significance of the colors? If there is link about the different colors for items, that would be great too.

I need to figure out the syntax for the whisper /w chat command. I have tried
/w name (name of player) and then <return> key. I’m confused about when to enter the message. I don’t know anyone in the game personally to try this on. Thanks in advance.

I’m asking this here because I don’t want to get drilled on the WvW forum. I’m getting the hang of WvW but I’m missing something when it comes to building/adding a cannon or mortar. When I open up the interface and select additions for structures the buy button is not selectable. So what do I do?

Also is there anyway to use Badges of Honor to build these or is it coin only?

Since I haven’t built one yet, I’m wondering if I have any input as to where the cannon/mortar goes. Since there is no blueprint I’m not sure what to expect. Thanks in advance.

Good. Last question for now. Since I am just starting should I only try to get in a Level 1 fractal or is it ok to start with a slightly higher level?

Ok, my last question is confusing because I was referring to Fractals but that is good to know about Dungeons. What about Fractals, same thing?

I need help understanding how to join others to run dungeons. Part of my problem is I don’t know how to use the chat cmds very well. I know about cw2lfg.com but that as far as I have gotten.

Many of the entries say to self invite, I have tried to use the /invite ‘user name’ as well as /join but it doesn’t work. Either nothing happens or I get a msg saying the party is full. I don’t think it is because refreshing gw2lfg shows that party is still looking. I also don’t know if I should type /s or /m before trying to invite.

When I select the party icon on the upper right, I get an error msg about the login server not working.

I have searched for web help about this with no success, any comments or direction would be appreciated.

So it looks like it is Plains of Ashford next to Black Citadel but I’m still confused about whether it was moved.

I just started trying to find my first dungeon entrance. It looks like it is now located in Black Citadel after the patch. Can anyone confirm this before I try to travel there? Thanks
