Why don’t we have some kind of showcase informing the players of new additions to the game.
Like in the guild bounties, show some footage of the update in action and explain some strategies that could be used to accomplish a particular goal. Rather than just throwing it out there and expecting every other player to understand it.
They can’t pursue because in-game gold has no cash value. Most they can do is close their account, then they charge back on the credit card and not much is lost.
I have a card with 2GB of VRAM and culling is still a problem in large fights. also I have 12GB of RAM and the so called SSD. Why can’t we just take all the character textures and load them into RAM?
In case anyone has found a magical fix for the random frame drops in LA I have this card.

Make your own timer and center it around your guild. You then have control over who gets to reset timers, who is resetting timers, and more confident numbers. Only downside is someone representative of your guild or group must be present at each of these events.
Creating a MMO takes balance and you will never win no matter what system is in place. The limits and restrictions are mainly in place to keep a game economy in check. The restrictions are mainly for bots, and the ability to easily change the virtual market by a single player easily. One tweak here or there could ruin a game. Not saying there are not problems and changes that could make the game better but remember it is a house of cards and changes cannot me made lightly. I do hate some of the cookie cutter rules they have in place but in the long run I can predict what would happen to the economy if the rule did not exist.
materials would be so much cheaper if nothing was regulated. right now the only thing keeping prices up so high is the cost to get them. Before Diminishing returns was there, prices were very low. Now that DR is in place to keep players in check the only thing we can amass is gold. Also DR was never meant for bots, it was just an excuse. I see no bots, only players grinding at the timed events.
Humiliation, Pink and Pastel Pink.
Rating system is a terrible idea. It would create huge gaps between new players and those with high rating. I wouldn’t even consider joining lower ranked players. Since the last thing I want to do is join a dungeon that wastes too much time.
Dungeon Finder is a pretty good idea though.
wait! Using a transmutation stone makes something account bound not soulbound?
Only if you chose to keep the stats of the white / basic item.
The briny deep is way too small. Needs to be scaled bigger and at least reach the character’s left hand.
Very detailed spreadsheet. Pretty awesome.
You sir have far more problems with names.
“Now on day three of waiting for a reply. Simply just requesting a name change for one of my characters after renaming her the same thing after a forced character rename (from “Phook Yu” to “Phook Yú”). Stupid/annoyed decision that I regretted minutes after applying. Don’t want to deal with a three day suspension, so I’ve avoided playing said character while I wait for a reply, and I’d really like to start playing said character again.”
No sympathy. You are looking for trouble.
Can I ask where you got that quote? I don’t see it anywhere on the first post.
I don’t find any of those names offensive. The first name might offend some people because it is similar to the word kitten you. The second one is just funny, I don’t see why that could be offensive, everybody farts.
Yeah, this would be a great item to get. If I could get my hands on one, I would be playing so many pieces. Hope they make it obtainable by everyone or at least me. o .o
I wish they would tell us how to get it. I want a perm choir bell badly. Right now there are some on the TP but are very, very expensive.
And the total laugh of it is, all these things that give players an advantage, are not what people want to spend money on the gem store!! They want skins, costumes, quirky hats, funny mini pets. Which seem to be less of a priority in the gem store, compared to things that give players an advantage over the none gem buying customer.
The gem store is completely wrong in what I thought it was going to be, and only hear people talk about how there is nothing worth while on the gem store.
GW2 needs to look at the LoL store, I have spent more money on skins and have never touched IP boosts, and I am sure people only buy champions if they are desperate – they dont do it every new champion thats for sure!
This is why I buy things in a cash store. The store needs more cosmetic stuff, like skins, and random trinkets.
Not chests, I don’t like gambling, and won’t buy any keys just to have a chance at some RNG loot. Heck I don’t even gamble IRL. We need skins in the store, not in chests.
TL;DR: I want my character to look like a giant marshmallow fighting Tequatl.
I think the reason it’s not on steam is because Valve takes a cut out of micro transactions.
Exactly; this wasn’t an automated system, you asked people to list what they did. Unintended consequences and “I fixed 92 bugs with ranger pets, I don’t remember what they all were” become issues. When you’re talking simple UI bugs, yeah, these changes are trivial to document, because the developer notes tend to be quite similar to the public notes. When the changes are getting down in the weeds, are highly technical in nature, and have potentially far-reaching consequences… how do you accurately document that?
By inserting the comments made by the person writing said “fixes”. It’s not hard to say exactly what is being done, the hard part would be getting everyone to understand it. not only people with knowledge in Computer Science. That being said, one does not code with their eyes closed, it’s all controlled. and therefore can be put on the patch notes.
I have a SSD and I spend 10+ seconds on loading screens. That ninja forever-loading screen is also pretty annoying. Not sure why they brought it back. ._.
This forum needs better moderators. I remember getting an infraction, I appealed and got a reply a month later. If the infractions are done by a computer, it needs way more accuracy. Other than that, ANet needs to fire the moderators and hire new, moderators who understand the english language. This silliness is getting out of control. Hopefully this thread/post won’t get removed. These are the most regulated and hostile forum moderators I’ve ever met.
Get each of those classes to 80 and see for yourself. I find Guardians and Warriors to be very strong, but maybe it’s only because I haven’t played them to 80. I’ve played Ranger and Mesmer to 80. Now, I don’t really see what the problem is, other than these annoying bugs.
I believe a player is only allowed one account under the ToS. Making it, against the “rules”.
I’ve fallen through the map several times in the AC dungeon. (There’s nothing but water) I highly doubt it’s the mesmer’s fault, it’s most likely the Staff 2 or Mirror Images that caused him to get stuck.
wow, what build are you using?
Q.Qers and why they feel the need to stick around and insult/attack people who like the game
Posted by: Meeooww.3742
i guarantee they dont stick around every game forum they have paid 60bucks for and ended up not liking, if only because if they pulled the crap i have seen here, most forums would just ban them then ban each new account they made…or in the case of EA, ban them from forums and from their games….
I certainly would, luckily I read reviews of the game before I purchase them. In this case I played the Beta weekends as always they are not representative of the actual game, and so on. What bugs me in this game is the bugs. Bugs are certainly not something I enjoy. Especially when it affects one of your characters.

Because 60 bucks, that’s why.
Waypoints really help shorten long walks. I remember something being said over casual gaming and how it would help casual gamers. I really don’t want to spend 30 minutes traversing from one side of the map to the other. Mesmers walk very slow already, and Ive also heard guardians don’t have a speed signet either. I always use way points, because you move fast, you farm fast, therefore you make money fast.
At the above post, yes there were some issues with SSDs(or at least I noticed and I have an SSD). It made loading screens take forever or not at all. But it’s fixed now I get 12 second loading screens at most.
These things should remain hidden. This sentence will sound out of context to anyone who hasn’t seen this place. But, it was funny seeing people not reading signs and walking away because they could not open the door. They would just jump, try to attack and ultimately give up. XD
Don’t push your beliefs into others. Other players might feel the opposite way you feel.
I can say it definitely isn’t a waste of my time. It’s those little things that make the game more enjoyable. I wish they would do more.
so, does the y-axis represent quests? lack of labels on your graph aren’t letting me see a clear picture of what you’re trying to say.
I’m staying away from dungeons for the time being, until all this gets straightened out. I don’t feel like losing money.
I’m also hoping ANet will take care of this, otherwise it will be yet another generic mmo.
