You have 3 trait lines and even if they add 100 new specs you can only spec ur thief in bottom traitline, cuz if next one will be pale reaver you wont be able to go pale reave and daredevil, therefore you always have 1 traitline open.

is rly too much to expect good dmg if anything and any class can kill thief in less than sec? Thief hits druids for 2,5k dmg from full critted backstab ARE U SERIOUS? do i even need to tell that bunker druid has insane amount of hp? Auto attack hits 2x for 500 that means if enemy got reta u will get 500 dmg back to u… Almost no defence mechanism, every daredevil dodge sucks, dying more with new elite than scoring points…

this whole threat is about ppl that dont know kitten about thief and talk about him for some reason:
Basilisk rendering Mesmer shield useless: im sure 2 unblockable hits will kill mesmer that can recast his “shield” again and again and apply aoe slow apply aoe chill and have tons of blur(arent blocks so basil wont work on them) but i guess OP KNOWS MESMER SOO WELL THAT 100% sure mesmers are dead.

so like titile says. If you have Enlargment trait and go past 50% in celestial form celestial form will be deleted and u will get 0 celestial force to go back.

i think they will just rework some traits in core. probably tone down protection on heal or something like that. Nothing major nothing that will change our dominance. Remember that With scrapper slight nerfs most classes (aside from Thief/Warr) will get nerfs/reworks

I love scrapper but i must say that scrappers can take on a bit too much dmg considering the fact that we have stealth gyro and rly low cds on heals/stunbreaks

There is only 1 moment this trait “bugs out” for me. When its triggered by DH trap that. and for some reason when im small i dont take dmg from traps, but if traps put me under 25% it triggers and kills me instantly.

played War whole night. Got verbaly abused so many times i stoped counting, if i do great no1 says kitten, if my team lose its WAR FAULT! Even after making play of the game with Rifle shot into zerker into 4 enemies downstated the guy who was obviously missrotating(dunno if this word even exists) Called me trash and reported… Its funny i can go TEMPEST and play like kitten and no1 will ever say bad thing about me nor report me. Just playing war i think earned me atleast 30 reports today from angry kids/

i had to drop many things from build to even be compareable to other classes, Amount of cc/dazez in this game right now is out the chart, also amount of Stability other classes generate is insane. Mby this is where meta comes from ANET, Look at nonmeta classes: Warr(low stability) Thief(no stability) Necro(only on reaper/plague/chill to the bone) Try to win vs bs classes like dh that can basically spam daze and knock.

Game is great, it just forces you to queue up 5man stack or be forced to play with ppl that shouldnt EVER get thier rank.

Ranks seems to be about beeing the best from the worst in your elo. If your too good you will get better enemies and still rank up same speed as bad player vs bad player. I know we shouldnt punish bad or new players but still THERE SHOULD BE SOME INDICATOR that someone has LOTS to learn… I see ppl on RUBY that know nothing about rotation. They dont know who they can 1v1 and who they cant, they cant play as team and strive for epic DUELS offpoint. There should be rly system that would point out thier mistakes so they will ever fix them, just like Team that speaks after match what they could do better and what they couldnt. If we leave newbies alone there will be 80% Minionmaster necro and DH player base…

10k dmg on True shot, Godmode on F3, leap condi cleanse and heal on f2, UNLBOCKABLE spear that pierces and pulls enemies on f1, trait that knock any enemy in close range daze on traps tons of unneded dmg on traps wayy too many passive traits, way too good dmg negation… OFC when you see proleague with 3x bunker 2x rev Dh isnt insane good, but remember! EVEN PRO TEAMS consider Mes Mes REV REV Tempest team comp toxic…Why do you think there is so low amount of Warrs and Thieves? Every class and especially DH deals more dmg and survives more dmg, and helps team more.

its all about fact that Dh requires 0 skill and 0 knowledge of game to play, and it punishes enemy for not playin perfectly, and for not making perfect evades. Any class that can basically instantly force 2x Dodge on enemy team at the start of the fight should be considered op as kitten. 1 player can force 10 dodges in 5v5. Not to mention fact that once you get dragonmawed its GG to you.

Still i understand if i lose 2 pips as full premade, MBY we made mistakes but fact that WE have favorable matchup vs 5 total randoms is just insane. I dont understand 5 randoms going vs 5man stack getting totaly rekt and game still want to FORCE on me that this was 50% winchance?

I understand that you give us chance to get better, to see players that play fullstack/proleague from enemy perspective, to make us want to get on thier lvl, to get better, I UNDERSTAND. But tell me if you get 5 totally random ppl from ruby and put them vs full stack vs 2x Diamond 3x ruby doesnt that feel like kinda overkill? I wont even start talking about fact that my teammates shouldnt be on ruby, but still… Is it rly 50% winchance for us to lose pip? game after game, queue after queue 5man random vs 5man stack or 5 man random vs 3+2 man stack, how the F you consider 5 randoms even or favorable? I just dont get it. Your system is flawed and i rly RLy RLY dont see anything you guys to fix this… Im not talking about solo/teamQueue. Rank on rank 3 there are ppl that dont know how to play thier classes, Everygame feels like this guys just want to lose (for what anet asked me to report them) had seen many RLY RLY bad rank 4 players (lol we even 5man stack vs 5 man stack that had 3x 4th rank and guess what? 500-20)

They are all Rank 3/4 wtf, IT MAKES ME MAD that game considers them on same lvl as me. I think thats the problem, Your rank doesnt have anything to do with how good u are. Bad players will get 2 pips for each win and strong players in team to balance them so they can get “lucky wins” if they lose, Meh its 1 pip per lose and 2 pip per win, all you need to do is be RLY RLY RLY bad at this game, but dont worry there are builds for even trash tier player to be somehow efective like DH/Condi mesmers/bunker tempests/druids(noob burst build drud ofc) This game from rly fun pvp evolved into SPAM STUN CLEAVE AND WIN.

tested bunker mes, it feels strong but i wouldnt call it op. Yet i bet there are toons of better mesmers than me that can be pretty much unkillable on this build

droping 3 traps = 3x aoe daze 1st HIT from LB that HITS (you cant evade this proc) = KNOCK Dragon maw even if you evade it still leaves wall, invisible wall from lb5 f1-f1 pull

ANd all that while teleporting on ur kitten with Judge…

GO DH, Dh requires no brain and has upperhand vs almost any matchup.
TOns of dmg negation
Tons of cc(with BS trait that knocks on lb)
Tons of DMG
1 bad move vs them and ur dead.
Dragon maw is most kittened spell i ever seen in my life in any game.

only thing that DH isnt op in is his mobility
DPS is insade
Blocks are insane
Traps are insane
CC IS SO F INSANE that is hurts my brain to even think how much CC they can dish out

Why pvp players with high elo are still beeing punished for playing well? There is almost wo way to win 1v5 or 2v5 so why this matchmaking still wants 2 good players to carry 3 morons? Its impossible… DOomed from the start.

There are some builds/comps/ppl that just give you about 100% chance to lose, please Devs give us way to vote on “instalose” /resign its better to just lose instantly than tryharding carrying someone that just DOESNT want to win. Im sick of newbs that got no idea how to play thier classes yet still queue up pvp, im sick that just cuz im not playing all day pvp im gonna be stuck in emerald with TOTAL MORONS… Cuz everyone faster or slower will get emerald.

pvp: you will need long years of mastering class only to get killed vs newbs with DH/Druid/ETC
PvE: Dungeons/fractals on dungs ur ok , higher lvl of fractals its better to spec Condi but still ok’ish
Raids: u gonna get kicked alot, kittenty dps kittenty team help, even kittentier survi.

WvW your king of trolling, oppresor of dumb enemies(99% of wvw players) go p/p proplexity thief or ghost thief for maximum troll, Remember as long as enemy has any sign of brain you gonna lose or will be ignored, BUT BUT BUT if they dont you gonna make them cry and ruin thier lifes.

PVP and WvW, pick one! These are 2 diferent modes and requires diferent skills. When in wvw you have Year to kill someone as thief(and can use imbalanced item stat types and runes) compared to 30 min match that is race to 500 points? This is PvP forum keep it pvp.

how to kill thief/daredevil , spam aoe, spam channeled skills, spam godmodes, use any conditions that deal dmg, move around. Easy. There is not a single class that doesnt have atleast solid 60-70% winchance vs daredevil/thief, thier dmg output survi is a joke, thier mobility is all they got, If you see him spamming vaults for real dont stay in place like idiot, just move around it wont ever hit. Fun fact more and more ppl start learning thief spells(before they never had to) and they start to realise that if thief just burned his agility signet they will do +2 evades.

1st thing as thief when i trained thief i did when i had trouble with other class i created this class recreated build and tested for strong/weak points. As thief there is almost 0% chance to win vs DH and its pain in kitten to even consider 1v1 any other class. You basically get 2 options, or go all out with dumb glass cannon build with 0 condi cleanse – lasthit someone and pray that you dont die, or you go for less dps and run around like madman, never getting into any fight cuz you will die easy.

Just try thief/dd for 2 days, you will be sick how much time you spend in downstate.

If that are only 2 classes that give you hard time then how the F you kill druids with 10000000000000 maul dmg and perma daze? You play permastability class or what?

Yes, its enemy fault they didnt evade oull in traps that instakilled them. its good to punish enemies for 1 mistake when playing class that will never be punished.

As ranger you can signet of the stone, once it runs out DH will teleport to ur kitten while blocking every ur cc attempt. or they will just pull you into traps forcing you to run while they shot you in the back, Face it bro you have 1 signet of the stone, they can instakill your pet with 1 set of traps, reaply them while blocking you EVERY SKILL pull you in and kill you so fast you wont even know when its christmass. FOR REV is even funnier, most revs have 0 range so DH is outranging them. if they close up to UA they will end up near you(guess what dh will drop under ur ass?) And insta dragonmaw you. while pumping tons of cc. OFC you will heal on Herald, and then pray next 30 sec he wont kill you, but guess what? HE WILL REAPPLY traps right after your sweet heal ends, pull you in and kill you so fast! For real i played DH like 3/4 days. Only problem i had was other DH and some scrappers. 0 problem vs thief 0 problem vs mes TOTALLY 0 problem vs Rangers or revs. REVS are so funny cuz thier trait LOCKS them in place on 25% hp so i can just DROP EVERY Trap on him there. Remember EVEN if you block dragonmaw YOu cant block cage it leaves, and this cage is so small you wont be able to perform dodge roll in in so no stability for you. Only skill that will save you is Shiro Evade, that guess what? will put you in range vs DH that crits for 9k every 4sec. No mather how dumb Guards try to deny that dh is op as f there are things that are just too hard to deny. There should be NO UTILITY SPELL that INSTAKILLS enemy, for real, i saw dh kill cheftain in 1 sec! HOW THE F, Even on rampage with pure zerker warrior you wont kill mob in 1 sec. but kitten that DH is balanced. Its enemies fault they dont see future and always know when he droped traps. Try to deny that its best class for newbs in pvp to WIN game, ITS CLASS that always FORCES enemy to counter play. You dont need to know kitten about them, they need to know every single of your cd to not die from traps…

Scrap acro make traitline with DMG CONDI REMOVAL and survi trait that saves us from instadying.

I rly want thief with melee scepter and shadow/vampiric skill kit. And give him Wells cuz aoe is fun.

Did you know that you can get CHILL TO THE BONE in the middle of bound dodge negating it freezing u midair? Its fun. For the Daredevil traits i prefer no trait. every 3 of them are clunky buggy as kitten. Did you know that if you get immob and you have dash you can remove immob only by dashing forward? Immob will prevent your character to turn around so you cant dash anyother way…

Just give me 350 range dash that buffs dmg for 10% and im happy, i rly dont like bound it feels way to slow to even play it, and for real if not dmg on rupt trait i wouldnt even consider playing daredevil over regular thief.

Thief is trash tier mate. Every class can do thier job better while not beeing killed by everything. Im pretty sure next patch we will see Thief removed from game cuz why even bother. Anet doesnt care, never cared about thief, all they cared about is new players that were thieves prey, so they nerfed thief to the point its even or no chance to win vs newbs. For real i feel soo angry for wasting 3 years to play this class. If i played guard or ele or Engi instead i would be king of game right now. And there would be no time that my class was outmatched.

Dont listen to @Dragon.8762, You want real pvp? Go character creation, make Guardian spec him as dh, win game. As DH you need to contribute less in fights to win than ur enemies to survive your burst. Its perfect class for starters, offers almost no punishment for playing bad, rewards for both u playing and enemies missplays(they didnt dodge in 1/2 sec so they should be dead!)

As guard you dont need to bother to understand map or enemy class or thier strongpoints. JUST smash buttons feel like hulk!

Classes to avoid one on one: Tempest and Dragonhunter. Tempest is largely a waste of time and not an easy match-up. Dragonhunter is basically impossible (there is only one Thief build that can reliably kill DH and it’s bad in every other situation).

So you have no problem vs scrappers? i dont deny your skill Caed but 1v1 vs god of blocks and aoe is like sure lose…

Its gw2. Game wont explain kitten to you, will punish you for playing and dont even try going pvp as thief, you will only drag your teammates down.

havent played thief in pvp for long.
I log in today to get any daily… i see Thief daily GREAT ok lets go… And had to switch to scrapper. Dying to f EVERYTHING is not fun, DEALING 0 DMG is not fun, any class outdmgs me and has 10000000000 of blocs/godmodes for real presetuped traps took 98% of my hp… I BET ITS F SKILL MATTER that i didnt consider DH laying traps on close and going to def mid… I bet is l2p issue that im not able to see future in my dreams so i wont be killed by traps//.//

Whats even funnier, dunno how much anet paid Caed to post his builds on thief forums to shut us up, problem is THEY WONT WORK kitten in soloq, with 0 condi clear even total NEWB with ANY CONDI BUILD will destroy you. I feel sick after waiting this long for any FIX to thief, they introduced nonstealth play? JOKE! Staff deals insane dmg and dies even faster, same as s/d EVERY thief dies to kittening aoe and condi pressure and nowadays meta is all about SPAM AOE WIN TEAMFIGHT. Dont even start saying “Thief is still great decapper” I can outrotate almost any thief on SCRAPPER, and can decap even faster than thief as Rev, no point in playing class that counters NOTHING wins vs NOTHING and has no strong points compared to any other class. Noobs will be happy with 12k vault im not happy with 1 12k vault when rest of the game i will spend respawning.

Anothier fun fact: If thief dies using HS or any other skill that lock us up in animation is considered NOOB trash tier thief, if rev dies using UA we have to add EVASION to UA cuz noobs will cry.

Dunno if its me but shadow shot seems to be even slower than before, i can cast it 2/3x before it lands and teleports me. Rly rly dumb. Lets make it as slow as cluster so we will see more counterplay… CUZ THAT WE WANT! MORE COUNTERPLAY TO THIEF less counter play to DH and COndi bullkitten… Every class shoult get reveal, on 20 sec cd with 10000 range, any class should get perma “if you get backstabbed by thief he dies in next 2 sec” You guys know that if you have confusion on then making BOUND evade or Condi evade will kill you cuz its considered attack…

Daredevil by far if its a 1v1. Thankfully Daredevils/Thieves are almost extinct after 3 years of never being outside the meta. Lets hope it stays this way.

Cuz spinning with GS on warrior waiting for lucky crit is better for “skill matchup”
