You guyz to remember though that since all of our ratings are reset… our ratings next week will still be fairly close with the biggest gap atm being Kaineng and Eradon Terrace at 294…. with Blackgate next week making what should be an easy push in Tier 1 to join Kaineng .. the top servers in coverage / population should make it into T1 / T2 fairly quickly (SoS, JQ, BG, KN, and SoR) and on the other side T7/T8 should be pushed quickly back into their slots with Servers with better coverage / population push them down the ratings ladder much quicker… The only servers on the NA side that are going to see quite a few weeks before were settled in is T3- T6 as i believe both Tarnished Coast and Fort Aspenwood will compete for T2 moving around the T3 servers from holding on whoever that may be… Math wise the top 2 and bottom 2 tiers should see competitive matches within 3 weeks … depending on the math… whereas the rest will have to find their places… European side could take you guyz much longer then NA as you guyz have more tiers then us… but as long as our ratings stay closer then what they were last season… we should see servers easily able to move up and down… The math needs to be fixed in T8 as Servers that dominate have to wait so long just to move up into T7 ex… Devona’s Rest and Kaineng… Just my 2 cents..

I don’t think you guys will get the matchup you’re looking for next week… CD is now expected to join you guys in tier 4 along with Yaks but it’s not friday yet anything could happen. Maguuma waits for the day to meet Kaineng and to EBay and DR don’t give up stay strong. It’s tough times in blowouts where you find what ppl really make a server.

If short bow rangers got nerfed then this one isn’t feeling it

I think what’s likely to ultimately end up happening over the next couple months is that both DB and CD will find tier 4 to be our new homes.

Unless it turns out that the mass armies of Kaineng are all noobs and pre-80s, they will likely overtake us in ratings whether we face them ourselves or not.

With Maguuma and Kaineng both going up to at least tier 3, that will require two servers to go down to tier 4 to make room; DB and CD being most likely to fill that spot.

I don’t really see this as a bad thing, tier 4 will just become a more competitive tier than it was in the past. I don’t mind CD as an opponent.

I hope Yak’s Bend gets some transfers in or something and they stay competitively in tier 4 with us. CD/DB/YB would be a pretty nice match.

DB I think you guys might end up in tier 3 again by the looks of SBI’s exodus of guilds but only time will tell. Until friday keep up the push we want to play against you guys again and FA I know you guys will have tricks for us as always seems like so long ago that even though we lost we learned so much. Crystal Desert I wish you guys the best of luck whether you end up staying with Maguuma and FA in tier 3 or the first ones to help put the stop on Kaineng’s karma train.

Next week will be good nonetheless. FA if you guys spank us just remember you’ll get a lot of fair weather players and we’ll find out which new guilds will stay with us. As far as I’ve seen we have at least 7 new guild faces showing up including some oceanic players.

Not to derail you guys or anything but keep up the good fight until friday at reset time.

Wow Mag is one big Tier 2 Zerg now with all those T2 transfers!

I don’t believe we got any transfers from Tier 2 servers… Our most recent guild transfers were WaR from Borlis Pass and SM from Ehmry Bay … and EoH and SAnD were from Anvil Rock/ Northern Shiverpeaks respectfully… and of course all the bandwagon players from our last 2 matchups against BP and DR…. the only one in this matchup whose apparently received a T2 transfer was a guild from TC that joined you Yaks.

Have you considered taking the duels into sPvP? Not only would it be easier and cheaper to try out builds, but you wouldn’t suffer repair costs, interruptions from 3rd parties, or occupy a slot in WvW that someone interested in WvW may appreciate.

Plus, you’d get to duel people in any tier and this could pick up a decent following.

Playing in WvW gear and sPvP gear are entirely different. In fact, dueling in sPvP you have a lot more ‘3rd party’ interruptions than an isolated corner in WvW. Also in T2 I haven’t been in a queue for a long time except for reset nights.

Your points are flawed. sPvP has hardly any interruptions. In WvW, you get the crosses symbol on the map, so everyone comes. Also, fights are even MORE balanced in sPvP than WvW because gear and levels are all equal, unlike in WvW.

As a player who does it all the times on Maguuma the biggest differences between duels is the skills that are not effected by the “pvp only” nerfs, second is the use of racials and 3rd is the buffs such as a nourishment and food buffs which can’t be used in structured pvp. that’s just my 2 cents I hope it goes off with a hatch on thursday / friday when the match has been decided

I second with Rebel Daughter. Sometimes as much as Bunzy is as good as he claims (haven’t seen him in action on the field yet but i may) I wish he would keep his trolling or calling out of other 5 man gank squads just for a kitten duel… that’s what Fight club is for on Thursday…. As for all the Ebay and Yaks it has been fighting and i hope we keep this fight up even with the holidays amongst us. Bunzy if you’re going to keep your trolling up I wish you would return to Sorrows Furnace where you came from. I know for myself and i can’t speak for others that i see Maguuma as a place to have fun not be stressed about score but still play competitively. Don’t turn us into kitten trolls like you have been doing.

NoQQ, I’ve seen em (or heard) on a few different servers. Looks like they’re spread out checking out all the tiers looking for a new home, but not sure, Stylii hasn’t been on yet to my knowledge. Interested to see where them and LARP end up.

While we understand you have pride for Maguuma. I would rather you not go troll the other servers as though you’ve been on Maguuma the entire time. I know I’m not the only person who frequents these forums. But as a person who came fresh from Sorrows Furnace right after there fight against HoD and ET (https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/pvp/wuvwuv/Sorrows-Furnace-World-Record) i believe that is your post you started. You don’t have the right to flame the other servers as you were not here last week. I’ve loved the past 2 weeks worth of fights against Ebay and CD. CD i wish you the best of luck next week in Tier 3 and Ebay it’s round 3 against a new server.

I’m glad Ebay and Maguuma have started to get off on a better footing as I can’t remember how many times we’ve gotten our forums closed down.

PS: Before you start flaming the other servers remember there are some ppl who recognize where you come from and some of us don’t appreciate the bad reps you bring with yourself.

ya but you got to look at this as a double edged sword… if you turned off the aoe cap and you were able to aoe everyone in the ball and they all had retaliation. You’d be in the downed state faster then you knew what happened.

Maguuma had the problem for awhile and yes you’ll always lose those pve players when you’re losing but we showed that sometimes it’s better to persevere which we showed last week against Darkhaven where we were 40k points behind and challenged them all week and were able at one point to get within 1k points of overtaking there lead. Find a way to show your server that even when you’re down you shouldn’t be out.

As a Maguuma player on the outside you guys definately have the numbers. As Maguuma has seen. But somehow you guyz need to find a way to get your pugs under control. Dragonbrand and Maguuma have prob 2/3 of the population that you guys do. None the less i’ve enjoyed the fights with you guys. Darkhaven has the potential you guyz just need to put it together. Maguuma will always be here to keep giving you guys a good fight.

There’s many servers that took hits from server transfers… Think of it this way Yes u may have lost by a blowout… Yes your morale for this week may have gone down but next Week is a new matchup. Take these weeks to work together as a server. Yaks had to go through alot to get where they are now. I remember when we beat them in a blow out when they played against us in Maguuma. Maguuma hasn’t moved in a few weeks in ranks now but you don’t see us complaining because were now showing that we got some backbone in what used to be a blowout against us Being Darkhaven has a bigger population. Don’t give up just cuz your lower in points or zergs keep recapping.. Grow as a server and work together and only then will u find it’s easier to start playing WvW the way it was meant to be played. As always keep up the good fight.

Devona’s Rest will still be with you guys for a bit. It’s the Henge of Denravi or ET that suffer the population losts that are more likely to move you guys out of that tier

We still make our mistakes though Ninein on Maguuma. Our what should have been 1 hour golem clearing in Darkhaven took us almost 3 hours… and 1 hour for them to recap back. Now i’m all for keep a BL upgrades all restarted but we lost Stonemist because there still those pugs that run after Karma instead of playing defense can farming Loot. Trust me those zergs are fun to wreck as they can fill my 15 slotters real fast. Were all in the middle Tiers because we still have some work to do. I’m just glad our work isn’t with the commanders which i think are doing an amazing job or our beginning commanders learning the ropes to help with the 24 hour coverage. Population hurts us but we still know how to give a good fight and I’m glad servers like Fort Aspenwood and Darkhaven aren’t Roflstomping us anymore and were now see that Maguuma can hold it’s own.

ya but then you have to keep in mind of some servers that had a mass exodus such as Henge of Denravi and Eradon Terrace. What if a server doesn’t work well together anymore and need to move down the tiers to finally work together as a server. That’s the luxury the Top and Bottom Tiers are finding out is that they are actually working together as a server. I understand you guyz are enjoying where you are but some people get sick of the same old thing.

A challenge like moving up a tier is very helpful in bringing a server together. I know here at a Maguuma we welcome a challenge and I’m personally glad we got to fight some tougher servers for us like Darkhaven and Fort Aspenwood and even though we may not win our matchups at least our coverage and working together is getting better. Just something to keep in mind and as always keep up the good fights.

I think you guyz may have some servers slowly moving down to your tier. If you haven’t noticed both Eradon Terrace and HoD have been dropping 3 ranks over and over again eventually one of you may be bumped into a higher tier. But i enjoy reading how the other servers are doing. I find this is my way to find out about other servers without server hopping

In WvW the up arrow means they are not lvl 80 yet and there stats are being increased to a lvl 80 and there armor. You’re level 56 so you would have a lvl 80 beside your name with an up arrow showing you’re not actually lvl 80 but your stats are being increased

I actually appreciate that servers are giving Maguuma some credit. Hakoto i do hope you guys find a server that fits what you guys are looking for. Maguuma would love to have more coverage at those times as that’s an overlap into our prime time. After the removing of the orbs we’ve shown how competitive we are as a server. As a player in WvW Maguuma may not yet have the 2 hour coverage nor full maps across the borderlands but we do fight hard and don’t give up easily. This week has shown what we can do as Darkhaven I think got the rematch they deserved from us this week even though i think they will beat us.

I do hope you and your guild find a server that works for you. Just remember a full server may be harder to keep your guild together so i wish you the best of luck.

As a guild leader from Maguuma, I can say I’ve had plenty of fun playing against Fort Aspenwood and Dragonbrand. Even when our 2 servers are down in the points the true WvW players have come out to play. Fort Aspenwood it’s fair to say you guys won this round but I hope you guys are able to keep your numbers up or you’ll be back down in our tiers where I don’t feel you guys belong. Keep your numbers up and force your way back into those higher tiers.

As for Dragonbrand I have never had more fun fights then when it was up against you guys. Strongly dedicated server to WvW even with your unfortunate loss of guilds to Sea of Sorrows. Maguuma faced the same exodus in our beginning and further on as we established ourselves as strong and are finally working together as a server.

Hopefully we all get to eventually experience the good fights like Yaks, Darkhaven and Crystal Desert where i hear they are neck and neck for there points.

Maguuma keep your chins up and have fun with it. Look at [PANG] putting up trebs at a gate (funny btw) and have fun even in the face of defeat. In the end of a 1 sided blow out look on the brighter side…. We became stronger as a server as the pubbies were fewer and fewer and the guilds that actually played showed there faces up to put up some decent fights.
