The game is new so a lot of “famous” twitch streamers are trying it out. It will die down when something new comes out just like it happened to manny other games.
Also with me being in Premium que for an hour and 15 minutes made me delete the game instantly. I can’t imagine how is standard que.
So, I was playing some Ranked with a friend and the most interesting thing happened.
There was a fight near the lord gates and I used Phase Retreat (Mesmer Staff 2) to avoid some of the burst and ended up in a wall.
I tried using Illusionary Leap and Blink but there was no valid path to the target.
I also tried asking enemy team to kill me which they refused to do.
This ended up me waiting in a wall unable to do anything for close to 200 points.
I also ended up being abused by my team due to “AFK”

All we know you cloud’ve been absolutely useless and dragging the whole group down and then you got upset when you got told off and came on the forums to cry.
Just because you made the post, doesn’t mean you were in the right.
Just block the person, you can’t recive the whispers or see any sort of chat from that person. Just knowing on which map you are doesn’t mean he will get in the same istance of the map.
Block System works good enough. I’d rather have ANet invest their work into something more lucrative to everyone than build this stealth system you wish for.

Those zerker reaper ps warrior tank guard still plagues my lfg tool every now and then. Is giving them a place in the LFG tool too hard? Because “raids” are not “open-world content” and I demand a change now.

I think you should download the core game and try it. See if that is working for you. I personally quite like the expansion. I am mainly PvP/WvW player and I would recommend the expansion. The elite specs are fun, fractal changes make fractals easier to get into and more changes coming soon and the big thing is PvP Leagues which are coming in December.
Sure there are some bits I was annoyed about but I got over them pretty quickly

People are still going for the Glass Builds (Berserker, Sinister, Assassins, Viper)
Only difference here there is few more useful builds but slots for those are quite limited due to Enrage timers. Thats the raids.
Fractals are still pure glass.
I can’t tell you whats best for each class.
Herald I think its berserker. Even if it changes in raids there is still all of the core content available, also I do not think condi revenant is at a good stage and pure tanks revenants aren’t needed yet. For healing/support I’m not sure yet but I think there is few other classes that can do it better.
Those parts you could not got nerfed . . . like the WvW map. But, even then, you could solo it if you desired. There’s a reason why dungeon content and much of the fractal content is dead.
Soloing WvW Map? What are you talking about?
You can’t take any keeps and castles for sure and even if you manage to get trough the tower door you still have to fight a champion
Also your thing about fractals is wrong. People are not happy with the fractal rewards currently but a lot of people still do fractals daily working towards certain collections. At higher tiers fractals have more people than they did before and thats due to them being more acessible and having their time requirement reduced. Fractals are far from dead. Population wise they are better than before.
To be fair the raid bosses do not hit that hard. Since I am the one with most toughness if tanking it means the boss will follow me. So people can use their waterfields on me and spam blasts which will still hit the boss. If I get really low I just pop my infuse light and go trough the damage field or the red orb and I’m up to full health. My AA’s chain hits on average 6k+ and go sometimes much higher which means Im still contributing enough dps.
I do not use Shiro due to having 2 chronos In my organized group so I have Mallyx for boonstrip phase.
2nd boss I didn’t tank mostly because one of the guildies swapped to his dire engie to test his build. We didn’t manage to beat him yet. Highest we got was about 5% since we thought we had enough damage to burst him down so we didn’t open a path to updraft.
High majority chose Power Rev’s, there must be a reason for it.
If you want just go and check out condi one. There is no point in arguing with your made-up facts
Soldier set is quite bad for raids. Even with a lot of power you wont do as much damage due to lack of crit chance and crit damage. I use Full Berserker mainly. If we need the tank I’ll change 1 trinket to Knights and change herald revival trait into the one that gives toughness for upkeep.
I dont see a reason why would you need to waste 1 raid slot for damage reduction. Might be good in the future but at the moment its just waste of spot.
Yeah, something needs to change with the guild missions.
A lot of players in my guild and I chose not to participate in missions so the other people have more chances to get the rewards.
This is the thing they messed up the most in HoT.
Ideas were nice its only execution that failed a bit.
I don’t mind the outfits but I prefer regular sets. I don’t mind where they place them (Cultural, Achievements, Gemstore, Drops, Meta-Chains, PvP) I would just like few more customizable options.

This expansions is making community so much healthier by cleaning a lot of people who cry for any reason. Which is a really good thing.
I was using marauder with zerker trinkets and standard power shiro/glint builds.
The extra vitality for the price of the power wasn’t worth it as much as I tought it would so I swapped back to berserkers.
You will have more critical chance but loss of power makes you actually do less damage, specially in groups.
Condi builds are too weak so for now dont bother till they dont fix rev one day.
I’d be interested in actually seeing the data to support this. Everybody says its the case, and I run power just because I really like sword, but I have a guildie who runs mace malyx/glint and he seems to do competitive dps, while also dealing aoe that I can only compete with while using hammer.
I suspect that condi rev is better than people are giving credit for.
Or your guildie is overexagerating his dps a bit.
I’ve tried Sinister, Vipers and Trailblazer and the damage couldn’t even compete with condi berserker.
Compared to bigboys like Engie’s and Rangers it hits like a moist noodle.
This would completly invalidate the legendary armors. There is no way ANet would impliment this ever. Even if they were only limited to 4 – 5 stat combinations like you said.
Why can’t the Ranger get the druid staff? seems like these are rather sparse given the fact many professions can now use other weapons like the Ranger/Druid using staff.
Simple reason. Not every ranger is a druid.
All the weapon given are the weapons usable by core professions.
I don’t know. I’m sure there will be pugs who complete it eventually but I think the Raids should be done in fill organized group with voice cordination.
Its easier if you have access to voice chat.
There are few post where people are trying to form Raid parties.
If you are too kitteno talk you can always just listen it still helps a lot.
