I agree! I’m usually not the biggest fan of jumping puzzles but i absolutely loved this one!
Mounts aren’t needed imo. You can run fast enough from A to B as is (at least compared to most games that do have mounts running by foot really isn’t that terribly slow) and it’s not like we don’t have waypoints we can access by hitting “m”. What do we need mounts for?
I feel like 2-3 months between LW Episodes are just fine. Am i excited for the next one? Sure! Would i like it sooner! Sure!
But at what cost?
The Episodes we have gotten so far were amazing! We got a new map with every episode, we got great story and overall good quality fun stuff. Not to mention the legendary weapons, the recent current events, and and and, if they would be shipping the episodes sooner we would pretty surely loose alot of the things that make them so great and instead get a bunch of extra bugs.
I’d rather wait.
I can’t wait to play the entire LWS3 in one go with one of my alts though once all episodes are out!

If a friend texts you some info do you also expect them to send a whatsapp, facebook msg, email, handwritten letter, leave a msg on your answering machine and mailbox and come by in person to make sure you got the msg?
A cynical part of me thought maybe all of the quaggan in the bitterfrost story look like the killer whale calf to make sure players would recognize the killer whale calf floating in shooshadoo, which was released with the patch. But that would be throwing continuity and a race under the bus for basically nothing so there must be some other reasons. Does anyone know?

Not jiust talking about the skin colour or hair colour but also thigs ike average size, eye or lipshape and such. I don’t think there is much more to it than that.

I was wondering when someone would find a reason to complain about the recent current events.
This fight was impossible to do for me until i updated my pc. Before i could just not catch an updraft for the life of me because i started lagging out big time everytime they appeared. It was so frustrating!
(ofc i dont blame anet for my pc being more of a fancy toaster than anything else but i feel your pain)
I never had trouble with the gear you get from leveling up and personal story rewards and never experienced gear grind at any point while leveling up.
A few actually useful drops would be nice anyways though.
As I have said many times, and will continue to say about GW2 bosses, I don’t know why the developers of a MMO that has SO much emphasis on Story want to discourage a subset of their players from actually experiencing that story by including higher difficulty content in the base game and STORY episodes instead of putting higher difficulty in Raids and Dungeons like other MMOs do.
Others can say that content isn’t difficult, or give tips, or offer to help, but some players either still can’t complete the content or don’t even want to try because they simply don’t enjoy high-difficulty play.
Why would they want to discourage their players by making the actual encounters drop dead boring?

Wvw doesn’t have a vendor at this point so nothing is taken from you. Instead they talked about this adding the option to add a asc vendor to other game modes in the future. That means wvw MAY actually get one due to these changes at some poiint.Maybe im missing something obvious? If so, please explain.
The WvW players want some way of getting ascended armour in WvW too. They’ve been asking for one for ages.
It’s important to note that these changes are not actually required before an ascended vendor could be added to WvW. They added ascended vendors to fractals, raids and sPvP without making these changes – you can argue whether that that was good or bad but the fact remains that they have been added to those modes already – they just have not added one to WvW yet.

They’d be a great set of skins for Ascended weapons.
I totally understand why a ascended Vendor for WVW is wanted but i see literally no chance for Anet adding one for just Badges of Honor or BoH and gold – everyone and their mothers has plenty of those.
The changes they are making now make chances for an ascended vendor in wvw more realistic imo. That or they would need to use a other wvw related currency alltogether.

This is my view on this:
Braham is filled with regret.
He basically hated his mother all his life because he didn’t understand why she didn’t raise him. Near her end, they finally got closer and he started understanding the reasons for her actions and started seeing her in a new light, seeing that he was wrong about her all this time.
Just when they started getting closer she died.
Now he is regretting that he treated her so poorly and that he never acknowledged all the things she has done, her legacy and he feels like he has to make up for a lifetime of wrong judgment twords her and make sure nobody else makes the mistake he did and doesn’t acknowledge the heroine she was. Which is why even in his darkest moments he made sure to arrange the memorial.
He is full of regret and and angry at hisself and goes off to fight svanir, icebrood and whatnot for weeks all alone – with nobody there to help break thew his negative spiral of thoughts which are dragging him deeper and deeper into bitterness and further and further away from rational judgement or logical thinking.
His only goal now is to make up for how he wronged his mother. By finishing what she started and killing the remaining elder dragons and by keeping her legacy alive and her story told. He doesn’t see anything other than that anymore. He gets angry at everyone he feels is trying to keep him from archieving his goal. Which is why he is so angry at us too.
Rox manages to break threw to him a little at least, he agrees to not fight Jormag right away but form a scouting party which makes it seem like having her there does help break threw that downward spiral of anger and regret a little at least which allows a minimum of logical thinking.
I doubt Rox will have more than a very limited effect though and there will probably be people (maybe even Rox) dying before he understands just how stupid and selfish he really is behaving.

No, it has not. It was hovering around 29-30 silver a piece for T6 leather before the farm was announced. When it was announced, that crashed to 20 silver a piece temporarily. Within a week of the farm being released, T6 leather was back at 25 silver a piece, and now it is back at 28-29 silver a piece.
The farm did not decrease price on T6 leather.
Give it some time. People are most likely stacking up on the T6 leather and not selling just quite yet, they will – evemtually.
I actually don’t mind the leather farm, mind me i wouldnt wanna run in circles for more than 30 mins at a time but hey it kinda reminds me of the labyrinth.
It seems odd, to me, to voluntarily do something one hates, when one does not have to.

Yeah it is hard to explain, but when I have a target in the game (such as getting legendary division last pvp season) I will do whatever I have to and commit as much time as it takes to get it done, whether I enjoy it or not. I play content that I don’t like to get achievements and rewards or content that I do like but I have done so much that I get sick of it (such as doing tarir 100 times, after 70 times even I had a hard time forcing myself to do it).
I guess a lot of people have different views on this kind of thing.
I do understand your point in a way but really, your goal isn’t running away. It will be right where you left off even if you don’t feel like working on it for a few days or even weeks or months.
I experienced this myself – pushing myself to do the same boring thing over and over to archieve something in another game until eventually i was just burned out and quit. The things i worked so hard on are now rotting away on a account i may or may not log in on for 5 mins once a month because i just can’t bring myself to actually play the game anymore.
That was when i became one of those " It is a game, it is meant to be fun, if it isn’t i won’t play it " people.
So they will loose people actually because no one wamts to farm and spent hours leveling crafting after 5years of game. I surely never did and might just leave since ascended gear isore for the players with more time on their hand.
You can reach 500 lv with few minutes following a guide and minimize the prize
I saw those guides u speak of and none of them takes less than at least a few hours having to buy stuff and follow the steps. But link me the one u say just takes few minutes if that is true.

Just an example… There are tons of them Everwhere. Maybe they will take more then few minutes but surely less then 1 hour for each profession.
I mean less of One hour (half an hour if you are fast)+ around 20/30gold (depending of profession) to gain archivements (25point if I’m not wrong) + 500lv profession is really worth.Also even if your are a casual player (I am) and you are here since the game came out I can’t belive that you already dont have 1 or 2 set of ascended amror + weapon.
Well i play since launch quite a bit everyday and just got ONE FULL ASCENDED CHAR because of the spvp reward track. Ddo you wanna know why? Because ANET lack of interest in WvW made it so that in all this year i only got rings out of chests and 1 weapon and 1 piece of armor ( NOT FOR MY CLASS). So you think its still fair after all this time that someone that only plays one game mode alot have the worst access to those gear? Why not buy gear with laurels and heroics for ex?
Anet’s lack of interest in wvw isnt to blame for your bad luck. Is there a lack of interest anyways? Sure wvw might not be at the best place but they have been (slowly) working on it over the past few months.
I understand why you may want a vendor for wvw though. Did Anet say thats something they wont do? To me it sounds like it might be an option for the future.

Either way it would require the token but as others already told you that isn’t actually all that terrible – really. It won’t take more than 30-45 mins to level a profession from 0-500 using one of the guides.
If this change is really reason enough for you to quit you might just be at a dead point anyways and could do with a little break.
I’m not hyped about the changes either but i do see where they are coming from and it does make sense in a way.

The average player just cannot complete the story !
In GW1 you had the option of selecting normal mode and hard mode. It at least provided payers with an option to play at the level they wanted
The average GW2 player is 3 years old then?
The boss was a challenging pain in the butt, but do-able pre nerf, after the nerf he is laughable. All that was really needed to be done in order to adjust the difficulty was to give a bit more time to hit the action skill. That was done + more, i seriously feel he was nerfed to the point where the fight is plain boring.Apparently the fight is still too difficult for the “average” player though, so what next? How about an auto complete instance button? Sound good?
Copper ingots are only craftable by Jewelers and Scribes, AFAIK.
Oh! I was so sure they used to be craftable by huntsmen too, my bad and thank you!
I am not sure if this is really a bug, has been removed intentionally or if i am just going blind but i can’t craft copper ingots anymore, they just don’t show up in the list at the crafting station. I checked the huntsmann and weaponsmithing stations but it doesn’t show up at either, the only ingot i can craft with copper now are bronze ingots – which also require tin.

NOT NERF !! It should be possible to do AB, BF, and SW CF … It’s not like we do it hours and hours… It is just nice that it is there. Lets be honest, GW2 is nothing more then a grind fest , and I prefer it with others then go chop wood myself.
The events in these maps are just boring and bad return. Without some grinding, it will take even longer to get a legendary or whatever you want.
The reason I play this, is for grinding and collecting stuff. Apparently it is an addiction :P.

An ice themed guild base sounds amazing!
A big chunk of personal story! Including difficult choices that need to be made.
A new playable race would be nice, but i can live without.
I like it ‘cause when I say “x on my tag” people know to look for a mentor tag – I’d actually like if the commander tag got chat titles as well: Green Commander, Blue Commander, Red Commander, etc, so on a map with 6 tags I don’t have to sit there in the map screen trying to figure who’s who.

If you are planning on waiting a little anyways, it might be worth keeping an eye out for possible HoT anniversary sales in about a month.

As others mentioned there are plenty of ways to get ascended items, so i wont be going into that, what im curious about is why you would be in such a rush with endgame content if you are just starting.
There is so, so much to do in the game and for very most of it exotic works just fine. Weither it is pvp, any open world content, dungeons or low tier fractals.
You don’t really need ascended gears much before you start working your way up in the fractals, want to raid or wvw.
What im trying to say is – the game is absolutly playable while waiting for the laurels to stack up. Do jumping puzzles, explore Tyria, fight world bosses (i still remember the very first time i saw shadow behemoth spawn – looked amazing) Join a guild and just enjoy yourself. It is an amazing game and you’ll have your ascended gears in no time at all.
Now what if… while we are south at ring of fire taking care of things there, braham runs into something while killing icebrod. Something big, something game changing. Which eventually leads us to having to choose if we want to fight primadorus in the south or jormag in the north, leaving the other dragon to the pact.
Not sure if there is anything in the lores history that would make that impossible – i never played gw1, though i did read up on the lore some but i think that would be an amazing turn of events.
Then you could just put all the stuff the laurel merchant has into gem store – no thank you.
People would surely rather have the cosmetic items staying special (as much as anything is still special after 4 years) and i personally am very much against having gears (amulets etc) in gem store. Not having gears in gemstore is one of the things that makes GW2 different from and better than alot of other games.
