Agree it does not send a good message. I love the idea of a victory/defeat screen with some statistics about the match, Firstblood, first cap, least deaths, dps, heals, etc…
But this ‘celebration screen’ was poorly designed..

I like to check my stats at end of game, seeing my dps/kills/revives/etc and the victory screen only adds to the toxicity of PvP.

I think what needs adjustment isn’t the game but player mentality. There will be times when you get bitter losses, but this is PvP, we don’t get pampered. You extract joy from your success over your opponents, and they are human too. You can’t expect to lose and not get badmouthed… you have to deal with it yourself.

It’s not just GW2, any game with PvP, this is going to happen. Just hang back and enjoy the salt.

It is not the BM that angers me.. That was always around and in many other games aswell. But a company/dev that develops a platform from which people are ‘encouraged’ to BM is just a bad idea..
By the way I’m not crying from a loss, I don’t get joy from defeating other teams. When I play well and my team does well, I could not care less if we win or lose..

I love the idea of putting the victors on a pillar and having them ‘celebrate’ but having the losing team lying there dead.. It sickens me..
The 5games I played yesterday were the most Toxic ever.. never have I seen more KITTEN BM like; GitGud, EZ, Nubz,…

Design a better Victory screen where the victors can /dance /emote all they want. But don’t let them /say or /map chat and don’t have the losing team humiliated by having their character dead on the ground..

Really motivating to play a second match after Anet laughs at your loss..

It does look good but is implemented wrongly.. I as a losing player don’t want to see this screen..

Berserker’s Mithril Imbued Inscription, you need to buy a recipe from the, Master Artificers or Master Huntsmen or Master Weaponsmiths. (cost 672karma)

Mithril plated dowel should automatically be available

Of course buying from tp is more expensive than crafting. I’m making good money by crafting mark components
But the material cost when you craft the daily parts yourself will make the armor cheaper (not for all stats)

I had 300 ascended shards from last season and will be getting 300 more this season. This is enough for head, shoulders, gloves and feet. Given i’m getting trailblazer (lillys ) stats these 4 pieces will save me almost 100g.

So the point is; I can enjoy pvp and do my daily crafting so in the medium-long run I can get my expensive armor as a nice bonus.

Sell the loot
Get gold
Invest the gold. Let the money make money

and crafting with marks looks like it will be about 20% cheaper (from what I have read).
Problem is gonna be obtaining Ascended Shards of Glory which have been nerfed pretty hard.
So if you got some shards and weapons you want to get, Let’s get crafting!

To be honest PvP ascended gear was to cheap/easy to get BUT now they nerfed the rewards pvp rewardchests and increase the cost significantly!

Only 50 Asc shards of glory / chest? Getting the same amount of shards as last season will require you to complete the Byzantium chest 18TIMES!! Who has the time?…

Also the material cost of the MARKS is pretty expensive and timegated like crazy! 20Tailor Marks = 40 Square of Vabbian Silk = 40 Spool of Silk Weaving Thread.. That is 40days of crafting and waiting..

This is still way cheaper than crafting Trailblazer’s / Minstel’s from scratch but come on..

Grinding for shards is not a thing i’m looking forward to :/

Wintersday gifts are not that good for karma-to-gold
But the Wintersday orphans net you about 85k karma (without the +50% bonfire), That means 50-60 free gifts/day

Necro doesn’t have to be full condi. Run a full zerk build with Staff + Axe/Warhorn. It’s super fun to play pve

If you like dps/support hybrid Druid is the way to go! Longbow + Sword/axe wtih frost spirit utility and all the Glyph’s is a great way to provide support while dealing good dmg. + you are kinda like a pokemon trainer, you gotta catch all pets :p

Finaly Ele is by far my favo. I started with warrior, necro and mesmer as my mains and only made an ele 6months after release. But since then I only played ele
It is just so much fun running around blowing stuff up.
ele is epic Pve and Wvw (pretty boring pvp) + The skill rotations are easy, the dps is crazy and just overall good fun to play!!!

Guards indeed have low HP so you might have to dodge from time to time
1. Run GS + mace/focus
2. always stand in a symbol while attacking (gs4 or mace 2)
3. Be a dragonhunter
4. Traits=
Zeal: 2 2 3
Virtues: 1 1 1
Dragonhunter: 1 2 3
5. Bane signet and traps as utility, Feel my wrath as elite
6. Having berserker armor/weapons/trinkets will improve dmg output (but even less HP)
7. superior runes of flame legion ar a cheap way to increase dmg by a lot

If you don’t want to lvl a new character go for necromancer (Reaper) because staff + GS + reaper shroud are pretty good pve. Necro’s might not have the best GS skills but the melee shroud is super fun!
Second choice would be Guardian, they have very high dmg potential with right build/gear.

To be honest I like warrior(berserker) more, because they pump out dmg and it is a class with high mobility (swiftness + leaps ) => Faster world completion
This is the #1 class to easymode pve! Just 100blades everything

If you are just gonna farm SW and Hot meta events play what ever you like

Gz on lvl80!
you should try necromancer/reaper it is a good mix of ranged and melee and has the largest healthpool of all professions
They just don’t die and dish out good damage

Revenant is also awesome for Pve, Sword/axe + staff are very high in dps while still good at surviving

Engi is more complex to play but great if you get the hang of it (has lots of skills)

In my experience the best way is to join a Hero Point Tour!
To see where and when they are being organized check the Gw2 Reddit subpage. (mostly on weekends, zerging with 10-20people is fun)

also fun is WvW every rank chest gives around 7-9proofs of heroic (can be exchanged for hero points 1:1)

other than that just explore Hot it’s fun

Guard for sure (well Dragonhunter actually)! Still the backbone off any WvW zerg!
While both have their utility guardian outshines rev imo.
Guard with Trooper runes and their shouts keep the condis away :p
Staff has Heal + aoe + CC
GS has aoe + CC pull

Like cerby said above;
1. Get lvl 80 exotic berserker gear
– with 500wvw tokens you can get 3pieces (boots + helmet + coat)
– shoulders + gloves + pants can be bought with Karma from "Keeper Jonez Deadrun at Cathedral of Silence " (42.000 karma / piece)

2. Exotic weapons
– Staff Berserker for 99% of situations (390 Citadel of flames dungeon tokens)
– Dagger + focus as spare weapons

3. Trinkets
- Berserkers trinkets, 2 rings, 2 accessories, 1 amulet and 1 backpiece
-Ascended versions cost 35-30Laurels each or 25-20Laurels + 250WvW badges each.
-Backpiece exotic version from Guild commendations

- IF YOU DON’T HAVE laurels you can buy “Ruby Orichalcum Amulet / 2x ring / 2x accessorie”. they are not cheap but worth it

4. Runes/sigils
– Get runes for your armor 6x Superior rune of the pack (3gold each~ ) They will help for WvW
– Sigils for your staff, if running with big zerg 1x sigil of Bloodlust + 1x sigil of force. If running smaller scale 1x sigil battle + 1x sigil fire

5. Food
A) Bowl of Asparagus and Sage Salad +8% dmg while moving !!! (more expensive one is Seaweed salad)
B) Superior Sharpening Stone extra power output (or Furious Sharpening Stone if you have that unlocked)

6. Ready to kitten!
-Ele’s are very important in WvW zerg battles
you have Static field + frozen ground + unsteady ground if Commander calls for CC
you have Lava font + meteor shower for AOE dmg
you have Geyser + Healing rain for AOE healing
Stay back and collect your loot :D

I really love the Ascended pistol skins; Verata’s Revolver [&CksQAAA=] or Theodosus’s Revolver [&ClUQAAA=] .
But you will need huntsman lvl 500 and +- 80gold/weapon.

Stats don’t matter as you can change them in the forge

If you are talking profit per token => crafting Mjölnir or Azureflame will net you the most gold. (500ac tokens needed)

Easy solution:
CM + TA tokens = exotic rabid or magi’s weapons(210tokens and salvage for inscriptions + ecto)
SE = exotic dire armor (to salvage)
AC = exotic Soldiers weapons (210 tokens and salvage)

My favo solution buy all the greatswords (390tokens each) and mystic toilet them
I did this with my last 12k Cof tokens and got Dusk!!

I can for a fact tell you that I got a precursor from down there, SPARK!
Not from the chests themselves but from a exotic champ bag that came from one of these chests.

I also only open Great or Grand chests, more value for my keys.

get that WvW rank up and if you happen to have a non-lvl 80 EOTM is best place to go (when there is a commander)

Both Guard and War have very important support roles in dungeon/wvw.
It comes down to preference.
Personaly I think a GOOD/EXP guardian contributes more to the party with Pulls, reflects, retalliation, blinds, burning, Aegis and quickness.

Aim for Exotic Gear, This can be obtained by getting 1380 dungeon tokens (every dungeon has different armor stats. ex Citadel of flame has Berserker’s Carrion and Rampager’s armor)

exotic armor can also be bought from tradingpost: Exalted = light armor, Emblazoned = medium, armor Draconic = heavy armor (they come in many different stats and prices range from 1gold/piece to 4gold/piece of gear)

Finaly armor can also be bought with WvW tokens (5 Gold coin 44 Silver coin + 950 tokens ) and Karma (252,000 karma for full armor). Again these come with all kind of different stats.

For a first set of exo armor, get yourself a nice Berserker set doesn’t matter what class/profession you play

1. Most ecto’s come from Silverwaste event rewards/chests or Dungeon tokens (30 Flame Legion Charr Carvings from Cof will give you 1 rare you can salvage)

2. always get your 77clovers first, you will get some T6 mats out of em (but not so useful if you already have 70 of them)

Schollar is the best pve rune, but he asked for WvW.

Yes ele is still viable with Pack runes (it has the same +power stats) but overal dps is gonna be a tiny bit lower (don’t know exact math).
The partywide swiftness, might and fury make Pack runes a great 2nd after strenght runes.

Ele with strenght runes is by far the best, but necro and mesmer probably benefit more from Rune of the pack.
Strenght runes are expensive, Pack are cheaper.

I would go for Pack runes.

Take ^ his mini’s and some platinum (gold) and buy the points :p
otherwise just finish campaign and have some fun with henchmen

with the right skillrotations staff ele’s have highest dps ingame. every dungeon is easymode with 2staff ele’s.
Good ele’s are most wanted profession with their Ice bows / sandstorms / mass AOE

AC Full run - 30min = 5.25g + 180tokens
Cof p12 - 20min = 2.5g + 120tokens
SE p13 - 15-20min = 2.5g + 120tokens
CM full run +- 30min = 3.75g + 180 tokens
TA fwdup +- 20min = 2.5g + 120tokens
Hotw p1 +- 10min = 1.25g + 60tokens

That is not counting token drops + loot/salvage items
Tokens then can be used to get rare gear for ecto (lvl 68+) or Exotic gear with Soldier/rabid stats to salvage the Insignia (these go for 2g~)

After that if you are bored go SW for some event-chaining or SW chest farming.

Sigil of strength I don’t see often on thiefs. Phalanx warriors do use it

Using Sigil of Strength on warrior is completely useless, since you’re wasting a damage modifier that you could have used in place of that Sigil of Strength.
You can easily maintain 25 might by just using strength runes, and if you’re having trouble with that you can just use dumplings as food, but I would NEVER use a Sigil of Strength as a phalanx warrior

I’m not a thief as main but I can tell you Sigil of air/fire are commonly used in anything PVP and WvW roaming.
Sigil of frailty is used in Fractals and daytime pve.
Sigil of force + sigil of the night for Nighttime content (dungeons, cof, AC, SE,.. )
Sigil of strength I don’t see often on thiefs. Phalanx warriors do use it

Seeing these sigils are expensive you should have multiple weapon sets.

If you want the Bifrost, make the Bifrost
If you don’t want it, sell The Legend
Nobody can predict what will happen with precursor prices at release (I expect not a lot of change tbh, because the precursor scavengerhunt will be hard enough)

You can just play the campaigns and farm up some platinum/ecto
A lot of the 30points can be “bought” like mini-pets, prestige armor and weapons

expect to play at least 150-200hours of gw1 to get to 30/50. unless you are rich ofcourse

For badges, Get gear for alts or get Rams + Arrow Carts (make superiour) and sell TP

For Skillpoints, You should promote to lodestone or craft weapons

Chestrunning mechanics:
1. Make 4-5 chests spawn in newly designed instance (think more like a dungeon, a puzzle)
2. New set of skills focused on running/surviving
3. Sell keys at a fixed silver cost OR at a sertain amount of mats/key (ex. 300Hardened leather for a key)
4. You can run this dungeon 1/day OR 1/day/character

Advantages:
1. Gold sink, ex. A key costs 50silver, average return on key is ~25silver (T5-6 mats, greens, bleus, gold, exo, .. )
2. Introduce a new skins, only obtainable by chestrunnning and make them as rare as a precursor (I’m a big fan BO-staff or Dragon-staff like those in GW1 wink wink)

I know there are already basic chests in the game, but tbh these are not worth the time running.
