Continuously calling for it is not going to change the fact that unless it fits within the narrative of the story they are telling in the world they created then they are not going to pull a justification for it out of thin air.

When, or if, they feel it is justified and appropriate to include the Tengo as a playable race then they will. Until then…stop.

I think we as Pact commander have done much worse things than domesticating animals to ride. Which is even debatable how that is slavery to begin with.

Let’s reword slaves then. Since you missed the point. They were not domesticated properly, they were forced to be mounts by being abused, mentally tormented. The domesticated animals in gw2 are always taken care of or loved deeply by their owner.

The argument for mounts have always been what op had said. But they were always mechanics of the game or abused and forced to be mounts. Neither can work as a OMG THERE WERE ALREADY MOUNTS OMGWEDESERVETHEMZZ.

Are we (Pact Commander, Savior of Humanity, Leader of the People) going to resort to slavery? and break 12 years of lore for the sake of a niche crowd? yes, yes we are.

Mounts are the Generic WoW game. Now Guild Wars 2 has them too. To satisfy the short term players who should be happy with what they have, rather than what they had.

You still have to do all those things, do about 20 -25 achievements and kill at least 150 bosses. For WvW/PvP you just have to show up… thats it. So even if you consider all these things easy -> WvW/PvP rewards you for much much less

Its not that you just dont do them, you get them for doing the content, but then can not use them for anything. You can’t avoid getting them, since they’re imbued to other content. But it just stings to look at a wallet full of currency with nothing to spend it on

I am pretty sure that could be adjusted to be nearest waypoint. It happens in wvw, shouldn’t be hard.
Even then, you shouldn’t be on a toon who doesn’t have the proper area charted for a boss.

Here is the thing, for me. I have not been excited for an outfit since launch, when they were called costumes, and looked like costumes, and came with a toy AND you could dye every channel.
Now it’s mostly expensive garbage, with none of the above. :p

And you couldn’t use them in combat so they were mostly for people standing around in cities, which I rarely do, so town clothes were something I never bought. (And since they later ditched town clothes and switched to outfits it appears they weren’t a hit with most other people either).

They probably could of fixed that without butchering the whole thing.
I will admit, I do love certain pieces of outfits. But they’re still outfits, and I won’t buy them.

• Duo explorable mode dungeons (a few require tricks, for which a mesmer is really helpful).
• Duo the lower tier fractals.

Duoing higher-tier fractals can be really tricky, except for some of the game’s top players. The T1s aren’t that bad (although again, you’ll need to use tricks from a mesmer or something similar for some, mostly non-combat, parts).

My guild mates and I use to try to see how far we could get if fractals from a freshly rolled character, naturally this was before pre determined levels. But you could only use what was dropped and only use any fractal relics you received from that character. Was quite fun

Auto-deposit would be convenient, but bad for the game.

Spirit shards are automatically deposited into inventory after dropping from mobs and as a result, barely anyone realizes that they drop at all..

And yet they still drop? And you still get them. Not sure how that’s bad. It’s one of those features that would clearly be an option for people, I personally don’t bother to check what materials I get from salvaged/bags so it would be another lazy man’s feature.

I personally, strongly dislike time-gates. It doesn’t feel unique or well worth the time, in most cases. I started crafting the legend only to reach a point to realise I needed another 2 months of time-gate garbage, or buy it. I chose the latter. Its definitely subjective, there is no value to me when something is gated, and feels more tacked on to keep “player numbers up”

I think it’s more the fact that, condi is a heavy burst and damage over time, where berserk is just a heavy burst. Plus you can sacrifice a little condi for some defence and still hit harder than a berserk. Which is mostly anets fault for not balancing bursts and damage over time.

Don’t know Nick Lentz, I played such a system in another MMO and it worked quite well. Even if we are all on the same side in general, conflicts between people still arise, and in a world full of violence, duelling would not be a weird choice to resolve them.

I don’t really have massive group-PvP in mind (go to WvW for that), but rather one on ones, or with few people involved.

You would choose when you are willing to PvP on the fly. Those who don’t care would not be affected at all, and those who wanna try PvP can choose to do so without leaving their environment.

In the current system, PvP is basically another world than PvE. I didn’t bother with PvP in this game yet, although I loved it in other games. I just don’t like doing PvP in arenas.

This idea would only work well if its implementation goes hand in hand with an easier way to switch builds. You need to set up your character differently, depending on the way you play, PvP or PvE. If you start PvP with your PvE build, you are in for a bad time. I really don’t get why there is no way to set up traits and save them under a number/name in the Heroe Panel. Then, when you fight a specific boss, you just click the number/name of the setup you chose for boss fights. I’m pretty sure the majority of players does not experience the diversity different builds provide, because they never change their character’s traits. They set it up once and live with it. The only people who change them regularly are those who play content where you really notice the difference, like high level fractals or raids.

Or they would just grief players. I played LOTRO for a long time. Their dueling was certain areas only. Which would be an idea…..if we didn’t already have a designated PvP area

Immersion for whom? Considering all PC are under the same banner. That would break immersion.
What you have suggested is WvW, in a PvE setting. Anet should just have WvW maps as skirmishes.

Unless/until the policy is changed (it was instituted due to player feedback), Armor sets will be available from in-game content, and Outfits from the Gem Store (with a very few exceptions).

6 of those sets are copypasta with glow, that is that. The armor is hard to make excuse is bland. No one cares if it is the same design (i.e. those 6 armor sets) they clearly can paste in the skins for each armor class for meta cheevos, they can do the same for outfits

It’s more a problem that, what are they going to do now? Are they going design another set of legendary armor for more raids? Are they going to open up an easier way for the current ones? I doubt current raiders are going to continue with the wings.

As much as I would love to see The Box finished, we get what we get. They may someday decide to finish it.

They should at least take way the gasping part of it. We all, at least at some point killed a wild boar or fish or baby bears, so it’s a bit of a same sided coin problem.

It’s definitely a crap practice, and not worth the money to buy it. But that’s the way it is for all the story steps. Of you’re not on to claim the story, you will have to buy it. :/

The “a guaranteed precursor” no longer works, since it’s cheaper and quicker on the tp.
The collections are more if you are the “journey, not the destination” kind of person. If you find satisfaction in doing it yourself, without worry of cost, the collections are for you.

And according to the rules laid out by the dev, they can AFK farm as much as they want as long as they respond to a dev message asking if they’re AFK. Set up your AFKer and then go do some housework, play another game in the background, solve world hunger…the sky is the limit!

Which I am sure most do, but people love labels. TP Barons do the same thing, yet it’s not the same. People hate things that won’t benefiting them, if I don’t do it, you shouldn’t either, kind of thing.

Rangers and Necros in game mechanics working as intended allows AFK farming which the devs have spoken out against.

It definitely is a hardware issue. I use to load maps in under 10 seconds. Now it has dropped to 20-30 seconds. Now that is mostly because I haven’t upgraded my computer for 5-6 years. :p
