Hey guys, I want to invite you to an evening you will not forget ^^

We, [Cmaj] Minstrels Waypoint, europes GW2-music-guild will host our 2nd big event tomorrow on easter sunday 19:00 CET in Rata Sum! [&BLgEAAA=]

Last year we did an event to celebrate our 1 year anniversary and it was a blast, everybody was super amazed, so we decided to do another one

Whats waiting for you:

Since the theme is FUNKY, you will see lots of wonderful designed outfits

We will perform ~30 bandsongs, with a total lengh of more than 1 hour!

There will be at least 1 chatgame, where you can win something cool

We will host a lottery, everybody on the map can join in and 3 people will win cool stuff (1st prize is a 2000 Gem Card)

In the end we’ll have a style contest, where a male and a female character will be picked as winners, they will also win something nice

LOTS OF FUN! Trust me, it will be something you wont forget!

What you should bring:

Try to design your outfit as stylish/cool/funky as possible, to suit our theme and have a chance to win the style contest!

Bring around 2.5-3h time (at least for the official part, we probably will stick around longer)

If I understood it correctly, you need to hit level 10 before you can play the PS
That would mean you need 2h+ to get to the ‘Commander’-Quest

btw: also unidentified dyes could be affected, since blcs are (besides laurels) the only way to get them

Do you guys think its worth to invest in skins?
I think the prices will go up, and they will be connected to the gem prices

3764 gold included tickets+ dye, minis, and the trading post contract. Without those the ticket is only 3100.

I personally think it is totally not worth it to spend gold or real cash on the black lion key. And we have a double drop rate event. Without the event you’ll be spending 10k gold for 2k gold return.

I dont’ know why you keep advertising for Anet Behellagh.

After converting he has 62 tickets. Best 7 ticket is is 430g and best 5 ticket is 360g. So eight, 7 ticket and one 5 ticket is 3800g while twelve, 5 ticket skins are 4320g. So I don’t know where you get 3100g. Heck best one ticket skin is 100g. That’s 6300g but I doubt the price can be maintained at 100g for that many, even if sold only one at a time as to not flood the supply.

I don’t know why you keep putting ANet down laokoko. I guess you hate lock boxes/grab bags.

My opening paragraph did say it wasn’t worth it if you bought keys with either cash or gold. If you don’t care about makeover kits or uni dyes or minis or backpacks then you wouldn’t be farming for keys because the gold per hour rate is relatively low even if you can farm 4 keys in an hour, that’s still only 7gph.

I took the minimum gold i can get for sure, that was 50g for the 1 ticket weapons
I didnt look for more expensive weapons ^^ So yeah, perhaps its more
And ofc I can wait til prices get higher, but thats my own speculation, not the real profit from the chests

The drop rates must be extremely low for all those permanent items. I saw a set of archived black lion chest drop rates. One set of 1000 had one item out of the 3 possible drops.

Anyone who opens in expectation of getting one of these “rare” drops is going to be disappointed. People do pay for these, but imo they do it because essentially they like to gamble.

I was referring to the 3 permanent items, not the 3 slots in the chest. The hair kit, trader and merchant. That out of 1000 chests, only one of one of these had dropped.

There were 4 contracts: Hairstylist, bank access, merchant and tp-express
The hairstylist now is removed so its 3 again

I farmed 1000 Black Lion Keys and opened them yesterday (11.08.)

It took me almost 1h to open them all, so I speeded it up
I think this is the record
Youll find a geraman video guide for the farming on my channel, ignore it, its old and not all starts are in there

Story:

Me and my friends used to farm some keys from time to time
I decided to make a guilde for my guild, so I spent a lot of time to figure out how to do it faster and faster last january + february
After ~250 Runs I ended on guard with GS and wrote the guide down
To keep the guide up to date i decided to farm 1-2 Keys each day
After I hit 400 Keys in May/June I saw that video where someone opened 500 Chests (with bought keys)
I wanted to beat that and to set a new record, but without wasting my gold on keys
So I set up my goal: To Reach 1000 Keys until the end of the year
In July I got lazy and didnt farm a single one, i was on 465 keys
After the last patch came online (Dragons Reach 1) my guildmates asked me again and again if i will open my chests to perhaps be lucky and get one of those hairstlye contracts
I didnt want to open them without hitting my goal of 1k keys, so I decided on Saturday (02.08.) to farm the last 535 Keys until next patchday
It was a tough challange, no real life, 5h sleep max per day and only short breaks to eat or bathroom stuff
I would never do it again xD It was rly hard, the last 100 keys were a torture

It was not my goal to get the money but to set the record to 1000 keys without buying
I did that, I’m rly happy and proud that i didnt gave up
And my fingers + legs hurt
Thanks to my [AofT]-guildies for the support and to all the people who set road markers in queensdale
And thanks to Arena-Net for this awesome patch on wednesday (tickets and scraps chances doubled), without you I wouldnt have made it

I threw a lot of exotics in the MF last year, and the results were 5-12 level above the average level of the stuff i threw in (like its written on wiki)
Now I startet again, and I get a lot of exos that are below level 80 (in about 1 of 4 times its 75-79), even if I only use 80s

Is this a bug or a nerf?

I have more than 1.000.000 Materials in my TP, i simply cant just take them out

I see, its my fault, I should have known that I need my TP empty to play living story
It’s not Anets fault, that the living story didnt start when I first logged in

I’m not able to empty my TP-Queue, cause i have rly much items in there
Would need ~40+ bank-chars to empty it, what can i do to get this problem solved? Will I never be able to play with my friends now, unless I empty my TP?

IMO its not worth buying those keys, not a single permanent contract in 500 chests

I have to agree here. Usually I defend Anet against the unreasonable fanbase, but I think this new pick is enroaching on P2W territory. It doesn’t matter that the sprockets are cheap, but the fact that it does give you extra items over your standard pick is not good.

Unlimited picks are convenience, which is fine. Unlimited picks which give out extra loot which is not accessable by normal picks is not.

you cant avoid them in the air, and even if you could, they are way too overpowered
if you can get to the first place in the first half minute, you almost cant lose, if you place the fake-pickups on the right spots

its the only annoying thing in this activity.. :-/

There are so many bell-spammers out there, they put the highest note on auto-cast and standing at the bank or the TP in lionsarch
Yes, you can switch instrument-sounds to zero
BUT I love to walk through LA and suddenly hear someones playing a nice song with his bell/flute
So I always have to switch the instument-sounds on again when those spamming kids are gone
I often forget that, so I’m sure I missed many nice sessions in LA :-/

So my question is:
Why not mute someones bell/flute/whatever if I put him on my ignore-list?

i just got 1 charged out of a giant box
i opened 40 giant ones, results: 6 normal crystals + 1 charged crystal

so it seems that you still can get them

i just got 6 normal crytals + 1 charged from 40 giant boxes
i dont know how they ‘fix’ things, but you probably can get charged ones from the wintersday boxes

I’m a little confused here. If you’re saying it gets boring after 5 rounds (25 waves), why would you suggest more waves?
I do agree there should be a harder mode though. Also a unique trade-able skin (exactly like how the 3 Sanctum Catchers were handled) for completing this hypothetical Toypocalypse Hard Mode would be a special touch, considering this activity is the big culmination of Wintersday.

the wintersday achievements could stay like that, just higher the difficulty AFTER the 10 rounds would be great

I love Toypocalypse, i think its the most fun mini-game in GW2!
This Tower-Defense-like game is a great idea
But after 4-5 rounds with a good group it gets rly boring, because its too easy if you know how to build the right way
Could you please add more waves/harder mode/endless waves or something like that?
It would be awesome, and I think this is the only mini-game that has the potential to let me play for weeks event without any rewards, just for the huge fun factor

btw: This is my first wintersday in GW and I rly love it, one of the best updates since i started playing

I’ve not even finished my 500-fractals-achievement, Im @ 456 fractals, including lvl 49-80 without daily-chests (~90 fractals)

I got 3x GS, 3x longbow, 2x sword, 2x focus, 2x shortbow, 2x rifle, 1x shield, 1x dagger, 1x sceptre, 1x horn and 1x torch

i got all of them in fractals 40+

so 456 fractals – 90 on 49+ = 366
366 fractals – 160 on my way to lvl 40 = 306
306/4 = ~76 full runs
76/19 = 4 runs per skin

i dont think im rly lucky, my mates got skins as often as me

I just saw the new Gathering Boost on TP
It costs 110 gems for 1h, if you buy 5
110 gems = 9g
You get 33% chance to get extra resources while salvaging (and 10sec swiftness)
What does that mean?
Does it mean you have 33% chance to salvage one more time?
Or does it mean that you have 33% chance to get stuff like ruby orbs?
Or does it mean that you have 33% chance to get 2 materials instead of 1? (like 2 ori instead of 1 per salvage)

And how can any of these effects be worth 9g/h?

i dont see any reason why people would buy the mf buff from gemshop, i mean 100 gems is ~5g
this IS overpriced ^^
but i dont rly care, just noticed that there is 30% sale and thats still 105 gems lol

I cant sell stuff on the TP, if i click on ‘Sell’ button, there comes a fail message
I logged off to restart client and noticed the login issues
Now I’m back in and still can’t sell my stuff, same problem
And I can’t send messages
The first one i wrote had an error ‘Unavailable’
The next ones have errors ‘processing previous mail’
But previous mail is like 10 minutes ago ^^

Me and my friends are doing this very often
Before you create the character, buy a green hammer with no lvl requirement, it costs nothing and is way stronger than any other weapon. If you group up, all buy hammers and send them to each other.

Now create warrior human + common, and take the hammer out of your message and start.

@Heartquest feed cows until u have ~1/3 left and then shower flowers

@Fight in Pub, kill the first 2 guys and then pull the next 2 guys to the last guy in the upper floor, you can kill them all at the same time.

Choose hospital its way easier

If everyone knows the way a run will take ~20 minutes, thats rly no problem with hammer.

And if you have long loading screens, put your graphics to 0

After you finished the run you can send the hammers to each other and start over again
